    What's your motivation/matra?

Wow this thread really took off! Awesome guys! There are so many good ideas here that I can't quote them all. I just wanted to share with you my mantra for today. I was doing IMAX3, which has always been super super tough on me mentally and I still have trouble finishing. Right when I was...

    Emergen-c

Ok girls (and boys) Over Christmas I tried some raspberry Emergen-c and was not impressed to say the least. In the words of my younger sister it "tasted like butt." Today someone gave me a bunch of little packets of apricot-mango multi-vitamin. It's much less butt-like but still not so...

    What's your motivation/matra?

After reflecting on another thread I've gotten curious about something. I have one or two sentences I say to myself to push myself through long workouts or heavy weights. When I first started out I used to repeat "persist" to myself. It worked great, but I got some funny looks in the gym. Now...

    Starving in the Night

I use a spoonful of peanut (or almond) butter. Satisfies my snacking need and my hunger. I've found that if I make some popcorn w/nutritional yeast it's ok but doesn't fill me up nearly as well. The protein really does help.

    Jai Rocks!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who stares at Jai! I agree with you--watching her helps! When things get rough my mantra is "Listen to Cathe, look at Jai. Jai can do this, so can you." I switch to "Listen to Cathe, look at Cedie/Loraine" when the side switches from left to right or vice versa...

    What size stability ball??

I'm 5'2" and I love my 65. Smaller balls are uncomfortable for me during ab work. The only issue I've ever had was sitting on it during Bodymax2. I use a chair now which is more comfortable to me.

    Step Risers

Wow thanks!! I had been putting off buying new risers because I didn't want to be burned. Just those will help me out a bunch. The barbell looks better than alternatives! I'm only 5'2" and all those olympic bars I was sorting through were really intimidating--some were taller than me!!

    Step Risers

I'm expanding my DVD collection slowly. I'm thinking of picking up some of the HC strength workouts. I have a green step (pink risers) and I know the grey step is a few inches longer than mine. Does anyone know if the risers for a grey will fit if I buy an extra pair? Or should I search for a...

    Blood Donation--extended soreness

Sovled-ish Sisyphus--That sounds almost exactly like what I went through! My arm wasn't hot to the touch but there was usually some pinkness by the end of the day. I gave myself 2 doses of bengay and some ibuprofen and it was gone within a day. I was able to move it around without...

    Blood Donation--extended soreness

I gave blood on the 7th. It hurt at the time, but I thought that was due largely to the fact that plebotomist put a blood pressure cuff on me. I'm still sore!! It feels like I pulled or slightly strained my bicep. I give blood routinely and this is the first time I've experienced this much...

I Want My Step!! Step!! Step!! And More Step!!

One of my first posts but... I have to say I ADORE a long Cathe step session. I fully back the idea for BodyMax3. I just got 2 and I'm in love. I can't get all the way through it with 2 risers yet but it has already replaced LoMax as my motivator workout for the week. (And I've used LoMax so...
