    The Having Kids Debate

Excellent response. I have three children 12, 7 and 3 (all over the map as far as stages!) They are a sacrifice and hard work. There is no break from parenting. BUT the love and emotions you feel for your own child is like no other (good and bad) - and that experience I wouldn't give up now...

    STS legs issue

I often place the dumbells on my shoulders - or use a barbell as heavy as I can to give the forearms and wrists a break. The weight is still the same and this should help until you get your vest.

    outgoing or homebody

So nice to be at home with a bunch of "homebodies" It is great to know that I am not alone! I work with a bunch of younger women (mid-late 20s) and I often feel like dud - for only ever longing to stay at home with DH and family on the weekends. Here I am not a dud!

    You know you're PMSing when...

That made me smile - maybe it was the mix of pms hormones with the endorphins! I can totally relate - only my energy is so low I have to talk myself into loading the DVD. At least exercise provides some relief!

A funny thing about meso 2 legs (trisets)...

Your mention of almost falling down the stairs made me chuckle... yes those are the days I wonder why I torture myself. I think Cathe actually said somewhere on twitter "sore today...stronger tomorrow" that and the hope for results helps me hang in there. But sometimes I really hate leg day!

A funny thing about meso 2 legs (trisets)...

This is my second time through STS. The first time I did the trisets for legs in meso 2 I stopped after week 2 because my legs were actually getting thicker and bulkier. I thought I would stick with this time around. I have really noticed DOMS with these workouts. Again my legs have seemed...

Old Cathe workouts after STS--my 2nd shock!

Same experience here - the gym styles were killer! Especially after the longer rest periods I was used to in STS. It seems in gym styles that the rest is even shorter than in Meso1. I was super sore after these and saw results again after a plateau for while using them. STS is great for...

    Book: "The End of Overeating"

Sandra (Fiddlefit) said: Something I noticed in myself a couple years ago was that the more bland my meals are, the fewer cravings I have for stimulating foods (salty, sweet, fatty) in general. I noticed that if I had a meal high in any of those things, it set off cravings for more of them...

    Cardio Suggestions--PLEASE

I love the versatility of the 4DS - four different cardios (excellent Kickbox) and two very fun step workouts. You can do them separately for a shorter cardio segment or use the premixes for an hour long session. Step Blast is also a fun workout! Great music and a fun 13 minute intensity...

    What's your favorite teen movie?

Did anyone mention - "Some Kind of Wonderful" - or "Weird Science" (when they put the bras on their heads!) Love those movies.

    What's your stage name?

AHHHH! Thanks! Buttons was the name of our family dog who used to growl and bite - but the name is good...

    What's your stage name?

This is fun! "Buttons Berwick" sounds like a film star from the '30s.

What's everyone's calorie range while doing STS

Janis and Lori, Thanks for the ideas - I do some of these already - and it helps to know that it works for others - as well as giving me some extra motivation to keep going and that everyone struggles to stay on track. I just have to reign in my evening snack habits...Best wishes to you both...

What's everyone's calorie range while doing STS

Janis and LaughingWater, I am 5'2 and weigh about 125-127 - I lost very well on a 1500 calorie intake...BUT it was so hard! Mind you once I was doing it for a few weeks my stomach got used to the lesser food. Then my husband and I went out for dinner and even though I chose a small steak and...

    Cardio frequency question

This is a hard one. I love my weights - but if I only do 3 days of cardio between weight workouts it is not enough. I did this with the STS rotation. I found I lost inches at first and then pudged up by the end of Meso 3. I had been doing the same as Janis - I have returned to this schedule...

Butts & Gutts or GS leg?

These are really are two different workouts. Whenever I do B&G I am really sore in the butt area like no other workout - but I don't feel it in the quads and hams and calves as much. When I haven't done GS legs in a while I usually can't walk right due to sore hams and calves and inner thighs...

Do You Remember Your 1st Cathe Workout?

These posts read like a wonderful tribute to Cathe - I had to join in. My first workout was MIS - after doing Kathy Smith and Firm workouts. I then ordered Imax 1 and then Body Max and then the entire Intensity Series and then.... I love Cathe! I have my sister and brother-in-law hooked too.

Sunday Morning Fun: Movies You Blush to Love!

I love "13 Going on 30" for all the '80s music and pop culture references. Jennifer Garner is so adorable in this movie and Mark Ruaffalo makes me sigh. The scene with the "Thriller" dance sequence makes me want to get up and dance along with it!
