this is the most inquisitive cat Ive ever seen. that says a lot!. lived with many cats. he now opens cabinet doors with ease and often gets inside. scoops up everything he can and bats it around the room. I we had to move all his toys and treats because he kept going into the cabinet...

We did our usual park walk this morning 1 hr 10 minutes. only 26 degrees but didn't feel cold at all. no wind. we were trying a different medication ritual with our cat but it didn't work. he does not respond to meds as hoped. he gets loopy but does not quiet down or sit still...

I did shopping yesterday and realized half way thru I am not supposed to lift more than 5 lbs. first time driving too. mostly its the seat belt thats an issue. I think they are being over cautious but its stupid to push the envelope too far and pop a stitch. I do the treadmill with...

judy we have a lot of the courses. what's left now is pretty limited. i love this class. I dont understand all of it but enough of it. he does not dumb things down IMO but explains things clearly in normal non technical language. I have no clue what the new structure will look...

busy medical day again. I had my one week f/up after surgery and all is going fine. I still have a few more weeks of taking it very easy on upper body anything. I thought I would be able to do more at this point but not really. I could finally take a shower but not any soap or water...

Cathy I envy you having a sister who's normal. both brother and sister are nut cases although in different ways. I cant imagine spending any time with either of them. we will plan for a trip but not optimistically. cant even see our driveway. we would have to pay someone to clear it...

shannon there are stitches underneath the skin that are more important. somehow the existing wires that go to my heart are connected to the new pacer, plus the pacer itself is sewed in place with dissolving sutures. not much shows on the surface. I dont want to pull anything loose so I will...

we were planning a montana trip next weekend. looking very iffy. weather is terrible there with snow wind subzero temps. the weather here is not great but the area between here and montana is rugged. we usually don't go if the drive is likely much longer than usual. if the weather was...

Cathy the thoughts about a brace are good. everything is connected to everything else, somehow. ive had tennis elbow before and what worked for me was a wrist brace at night. when you sleep, your hand and wrist motions can aggravate the elbow area. if you wear a brace at night it...

Im not top heavy but you dont have to be overly large to have issues with an incision like this one. its sort of upper left side boob toward armpit area. they make a pocket in the tissue and shove the pacer into it. the tissue closes up and heals in around it. when you roll from one side...

dressing is off and it looks Ok. my skin was(is)getting very irritated from the chlorhexidine solution used to disinfect everything. I cant take a shower or get it wet for a week. I finally got thru to DH about the discomfort of tissue pulling down on the stitch line. its basic...

all went Ok yesterday except way later than scheduled. surgery at 1 didn't happen until at least 3. so directions for post surgery are all written as if I had the procedure early morning. I am refusing to remove the dressing until later today but DH is fussing at me to do it now . I am...

snow hasn't interfered with anything so far and road issues just in the mountains, only a tiny bit of snow in the lowlands.. I don't need to be there until 11 am so even if it gets messy, by that time all the commuter crashes will have cleared. it's a busy drive but should not be by...

Did the last few exercises on Functional upper body after doing a bunch of therapy work. then did half of stacked upper body. that seemed like enough. thought I was getting a headcold started last night but I took an antihistamine and it faded away so ok so far. DH is sounding a lot...

I had that late day appt yesterday so haven't called the vet back yet. this may not work out, all cats don't take to driving. I never had one who was happy about it. I will try to take him regularly on short drives where he doesn't end up at the vet and hopefully get him used to this. the Xanax...

We did a park walk this morning. sunny except foggy by the water, our usual 1 hr 15 minutes. that is scary about the fire for someone who cant walk well and is prone to falling. people always want to stay in their homes long past the time its advisable. Ill probably be the same! we...

Had my annual physical this morning. she used to be in a close by office. a few years ago moved to one a ways away from here. I liked her so I commute there but some(???) mornings traffic is not great. it was terrible and then thinned out abruptly so our drive wasn't bad. DH went along...
