Cathe ... time for an update please!?

I figured I wasn't the only one eagerly awaiting news on the new series. I can't imagine they wouldn't do dvds--they'd upset a lot of us I'm sure. Not everyone has the ability to stream--I know I don't!.

    Men working out with Cathe

Braille, I just read your "recent" post (sorry I can be quite slow because of lack of regular internet access). I'm glad you shared what I wrote and he's putting some of my ideas to good use, trying and adjusting to what is most effective for him. I really like how he said "it was a lot harder...

    Men working out with Cathe

Braille, I first have to admit that I have absolutely no clue about men working out since I've always worked out alone and am single. However I can relate to wearing (or in my case carrying) a lot of weight but knowing that agility with that is difficult. I have an idea for him based on some...

    Windmills for core modification

I don't know if this will help but I kind liken the move to triangle pose in yoga. I think if you are comfortable doing that, the windmill may come naturally. Maybe try the yoga pose and then windmill with weights will make sense.

    STS: 2.0 update

Just some thoughts about the comments of "puke in a bucket" workouts. If anyone is finding any workout of any kind (not just from Cathe) makes them throw up, isn't that a sign of overtraining and overexertion and perhaps there is something wrong? I believe in a good hard workout but I wouldn't...

    Poll: Tracking/recording your workouts/rotations ?

Paper and pencil are the best. I have a small notebook where I write down what I do daily for a workout. Also, I have 3 full sized notebooks where I keep track of what weights I use. What is really fun to do is to see where I started in a weightlifting routine years ago and what I can do now...

    STS: 2.0 update

I'm ready to preorder anytime you say go! Thanks for the update.

To gray or not to gray.

I always say be your authentic self and do what makes you (and no one else!!) happy. I will never dye my hair and it is slowly going gray but I kind of don't have hair. I shave it down to almost nothing every 2 weeks. I've dealt with so many negative comments over the years. Yes, people will...

Extra long boss bands are the best!

Elsie, you and I are the same height but my problem is very long legs. I literally have a petite torso and tall legs. My legs are so long that they are often as long as or even longer than people 6 feet and taller.

I actually did most of the workout Fit Sit metabolic conditioning

Keep on trying! The sliding workouts are excellent low impact and so much fun. I think burpees and pushups are the best with sliding. I love Cathe's sliding workouts and wish she had more. As someone who cross country skis, the skating kind that is, the sliding is right up my alley.

Extra long boss bands are the best!

I have to write to say I finally was able to do Boss Bands Total Body as Cathe intended. I wrote before laughing at myself because I would try to follow what Cathe was doing in the dvd but sometimes was met with bands that maxed out and would not stretch any longer because of my height. I could...

Video Clip Of Cathe's Functional Fitness Circuit Live Workout

Yet another one that looks like it had a lot of different moves making me wish I had internet so I could do it! But what I really wanted to say is that Cathe, like the Olympic athletes I've been watching in the winter games, makes it look easy! She is amazing!

Slow and Heavy Series still being used?

I would highly recommend the Slow and Heavy dvd. Jane is totally correct in saying it is not out of date. I actually find that although I crave new workouts, doing some of the older ones just really make me feel like I'm visiting an old friend. I often revisit workouts that I may have had in...

    Invisible 50s

I never saw this thread before but have plenty of thoughts. I have felt pretty invisible my whole life to everyone, although I don't hide. And I'm very much ignored by men. Now that I am 51 I realize I wish I could've told my young self never even try to look attractive because no one will...

    Circular yoga mat “slipperiness”

I don't have the circular mat (still not big enough for me!) but I have extra wide and long yoga mats that I put together and yes, when they are new there is a sort of film that takes a while to wear off, even if you wash it as most makers will suggest. My older ones are perfect, but my newer...

    About My New Workout Series

Hi Cathe, As always it sounds great and I will be buying it. I must admit I have never done STS. Not that I don't want to, but I haven't been able to do the time commitment it would require (and I haven't bought the series yet). The only other workouts I haven't tackled are the spinning ones...

    New Series??

I will take any workouts she is willing to produce and this sounds great as always. Like she says "Embrace the challenge."

I'm all in for a whole workout!

I would love for you to make a foam rolling video

I like this idea a lot. Perhaps it could even just be some dvd bonuses, like when she adds on an ab workout or longer stretch option.

    Workout cards?

Hi KeriJ, I use the old classic: and a pencil and notebook. It works well, no technical problems to be had and it is fun to see at a glance how far I've progressed over the years.
