I'm taking a rest day today and fasting for Ash Wednesday. And trying to stay warm!

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

This morning I did XTrain Legs - Bonus Barre and Ball & Chair (modified). I'd planned on doing Rear Delts too, but I'm so sore from yesterday's Chest & Tris. Jen, Gary Taubel's book made a lasting impression on me too. I didn't have a problem giving up/cutting back on sugar and flours -- I...

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

Today I did Gym Style Chest and Triceps, my 2 favorite upper body parts to work. Loved it! Jen you've been so encouraging through both my injuries. Thank you. Even though yesterday I did a barre lower body workout, and it felt good, what I really felt like doing energy-wise was RWH LIHI...

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

I haven't checked-in in a few days. Friday I had a much needed rest day. Yesterday I did Gym Style Back, Shoulders, and Biceps. Today was Leah Sarago's Ballet Body - Total Body: Lower Body and Core sections (50 min). We didn't do much for Valentine's Day. We did have a lovely treat of red...

    Advice on leg rotation

It looks like it could be a bit much. Assuming you don't want to do impact/intense cardio could you put in a core, stretch, yoga, or a walk etc. on Wednesdays? And then alternate GS Legs with either Pyramid Lower Body or High Reps Lower Body?

    STS vs RWH vs XTrain

I did all of them and loved them all! I agree with Jamie about starting first with XTrain. I would maybe consider doing STS second, especially if you do Plyo Legs for Meso 3. That would lead nicely into all the tough plyo moves in RWH. You could even do some of the HiiT workouts from RWH...

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

This morning I did Suzanne Bowen's Barre Amped - Thigh Work and Seat Work I definitely won't be doing any lower body workouts for the next day or two. I'm starting to feel overworked in that area. The lower body barre workouts are challenging for me! Otherwise, I'm doing pretty well hobbling...

Body Beast* modifying official 90 days rotation

Hi Nathalie, I did the Huge Beast schedule 3/6/3 weeks. The 6 weeks of build went on forever lol. I did not do cardio, and lower body was minimal (during my ankle injury). Shoulders and back were most noticable for me too. Shirts didn't fit for a while (swelling) but I added a bit of muscle...

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

This morning I did Muscle Endurance - Upper Body and Abs Elaine, I've never used a Fit Book or anything else like it. It looks like a very nice journal, but I can't keep up with things like that. I can't track what I eat either or keep a very up-to-date daily calendar for that matter. I like...

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

Today was a rest day. I think I'm fighting an infection or virus and I'm tired. My 12 yo dd had a fever last night. ilovefitness - What I notice when I eat a high fat diet is that when I get hungry, I can go an additional hour or more without food and not get famished. It's like there is...

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

ilovefitness - I think I do pretty well with a high fat diet too. The fats keep me from getting hungry. As long as the fruits, grains (especially), starchy vegetables are limited and only eat when I'm hungry then I pretty much lose excess weight steadily. I have to be mindful of what I'm...

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

This morning I did Tracie Long's The FIRM Sculpted Buns, Hips, and Thighs. This was all floorwork and about half of it was abs. I didn't use ankle weights or dumbells so it was not challenging for my good leg, but hard for my injured one. Ugh.

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

This morning I did Pyramid Upper Body. I went up in weight on all of the exercises! :D The last time I did this workout was in June. healing11 - I love how you did the different Cross Fire premixes all week. I was looking at Turbo Barre this afternoon and thinking of the same -- doing...

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

Oh my gosh Jen! I'm sorry you have the chronic pain on Saturdays! You amaze me with your doubles, and yet I had no idea what you go through every week. Yup, but we do what we can. (I'll still think of you as Super Woman. ;) ) I'll probably take a rest day, or maybe a stretch later. I'm...

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

This afternoon I did Suzanne Bowen's Barre Amped (again) - Light Weight Work (UB), Thigh Work, and Seat Work This workout caused some DOMS in my weaker calf yesterday so I figured it was a good one to continue doing. Small, controlled movements. I'm feeling small steady improvements in my...

Anyone out there that has a hard time finding a fitness buddy

My mom! She is the only person I know who works out as a way of life. And she has always eaten clean. She is 81. She doesn't do Cathe but she likes to keep moving at her fitness club and has done Zumba and can do pushups on her toes. Unfortunately she lives clear across the US from me. At...

    Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

Hello everyone! Welcome Elaine and Jodi! My new plan is to "Do What I Can." I'm feeling pretty good except for the Ibuprofen that I've been told to take (3x3 a day) is making me feel nauseas. (I have a torn MCL in my knee. Doc will check the ACL next week when there is less swelling.) Last...

    Dealing with injury/surgery

kmelli, your own story is inspirational ! (the first one) Congratulations! I am another one who knows how you feel. I severed my Achilles tendon in late May and was given the ok to start high impact cardio in Dec. Last week I tore some knee ligaments while cross country-skiing and I am once...

    Rest Week/Days

Hi Morgs, When I am working out the only time I've ever taken a rest week, other than being sick or injured, is when I did STS (after every 4 weeks) and then it was just lighter/different/stretchy workouts. I definitely think it's a good idea if you feel like you need to take a break or back...
