    Music on new DVDS

"I feel like I should get a bad woman's mullet, start smoking and get yellow teeth--with a few missing-- and move into a mobile home to be able to appreciate it;-)" Kathryn: you are hilarious! What an image......... Yup: another vote against techno. Boring, mindless, totally...

    Attn: Fit Mom, AKA Wendy!

Wendy: I took your advice and checked out the photos of Joey, part deux. What a fabulous collection of photos! He is a loveable and happy chappie. Looks like he gets a real kick out of life so you must both be doing a great job raising him and introducing him to the world. It's...

Is anyone else excited about the boxing workouts?

I'm with Wendy on this one. It's not going to be an automatic presale order for me as most Cathe workouts are. I'll need loads of details before satisfying myself that this is something I will use without having to purchase another whole load of equipment. We don't have the money for that...

    Favorite workout clothes store?

I'm with Honeybunch. I can buy Nike, Avia, Reebok, Adidas, etc, new gear at a fraction of the online price. Why pay $40 for a workout top from Nike that you can get from TJMaxx for $10? That way, I save money for the workout DVDs themselves. Clare

Who has read The Time Traveller's Wife?

Yeah, read them both, liked them both, though perhaps 'Memoirs' was a touch more gripping and perhaps that is due to the "exoticism" of the East.... Both good books: see, I am consistent! I think you should try them, experiment..... You know, a good way to find ideas for more reads is to...

Who has read The Time Traveller's Wife?

Also try 'The House of Mirth' by Edith Wharton. Truly fabulous novel and I get too involved with it every time I read it, incensed with the characters and with the social dictates of early 20 th C New York, wanting to re-write the ending!! This is the best Wharton novel. Also, try Maggie...

Who has read The Time Traveller's Wife?

Yes, that's the one. It was sad, but also gritty. But, I thought the ending was too convenient for the author, totally gratuitous. It reflected the author's manipulation of her characters and of fate rather than the workings of everyday reality with its chance events. It let everyone off the...

    The Obligatory Exerciser

Great article. There's an awful lot of it about, and a lot on these forums. I think, however, that excerise compulsion is as bad as any other compulsion, so in this I disagree with Bobbi. To the extent that over-exercising leads to injuries, depressed states of mood, disatisfaction with...

Who has read The Time Traveller's Wife?

Yup, loved this book. Cried buckets, wanted to re-write the ending! I bought it for all my friends' birthdays that same year and recommended it to my kids' teachers. They have all loved it also. Relationships fiction: you have to read Pride & Prejudice and Sense & Sensibility, both by Jane...

    PUB overhead press weenie

Nancy: as others have said, prioritize the exercises that are most difficult for you, so you can master them before the muscle group gets too tired. Then afterthe tricep overhead extensiuons, you can get your fill of kickbacks and/or French presses for triceps. Also, play around with...

    Which Weight Workout?

Exactly as others have said. Get both S&H and Gym Styles. They are the core of my weight training. Wouldn't want to be without them. Clare

Congrats Cathe .. a few questions for the new series

Yes, absolutely, avopid the muzak. There's nothing worse. And your workouts can be as incredible as possible, but if the music is not motivating, I simply will never do them. No-one can get through Drill Max or Body Max 2 without motivating music. So, Body Blast type music please!!! It...

Which ones did you get? (to those who have pre-ordered)

I ordered all 4 because the price was too good to pass on. But I may be selling one of them..... If the premixes and chapters are good, the Drill Max will be great as an add-on to any other cardio routine, or as warm up before working legs. Not sure at all about the Boxing series. I...

    Louder music option

Yes please. The music Louder option is a fabulous addition to your high production quality DVDs. It puts you ahead of the competition. As do the great chaptering and premixes. Clare

Kath: Is it not "being part of the arrangements" that bothers you or the fact that you may currently have reduced access to your father? There are members of families who leap to do the arranging, I have 2 sisters like this, and if their choices and actions are competent and effective, you...

What do you notice the most....

It's true the Royal Family usually gets dressed so apallingly badly. Who is their stylist?!?! Get Trinny and Susannah in! Even we cringe at the sight! It's totally a cultural thing, re: jeans and sneakers. You guys are within this culture where that code of dress is the norm, so of...

What do you notice the most....

Hmmmmm......I never look that closely at feet, thank god! 1. I notice hair first because I am jealous. I will never have what I most desire: a head of thick chestnut locks that are so silky you can run your hands through them. 2. I notice how pulled together and elegant (or not) their...

    not getting stronger

The only way I could increase my weight loads with PUB was to do a session of S&H first. I was able to break the plateau and go up to the next category in the PUB weights. I even used 10's for shoulders front raises and side raises, an absolute first for me! Clare
