I bought the box at Costco for $115 CDN. I really like it! I sent the message here since I didn't know if it belonged in the forum question anymore... Hope it works for you too (I connected my to the TV with an HDMI cable).

    Can we burn DVDs?

Hi Ebonicole, Here are links to my exact harddrive and box. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=701 http://www.wdc.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=734 My hard drive and the box are from the same company, I don't know if the box would work with another external hard...

    Can we burn DVDs?

I have all my downloads on an external hard drive (portable). I bought a box that you plug to the TV through an HDMI cable (it comes with a remote) which links the hard drive to the TV. It was about a $230 canadian, but I have 500 Gb so I can put a lot more than the workouts (movies, music...

    Question on downloading

Hi, you have 3 attempts to download, so if you lose them, I guess you could download them another time (if you haven't used the 3 attempts). I've got them on my computer and my external hard drive (as well as on my iPod Classic). I think it's pretty safe. Quite easy to have a couple of backups...

How different is the STS to P90X?

Hi Autumn, I initially downloaded them on my iPod classic and got a video adaptor to connect my iPod to my TV, but since then, I've changed setup. I have a 500 Gb portable external harddrive (each workout is about 700 mb, so all of Cathe's workout library X 10 can fit on it I think) which I...

Shock Cardio-anyone else a little disappointed?

I like this series a lot actually, probably because I do it all as part of the 3 1/2 months strength rotation, and I think they complement perfectly the strength workouts. I guess I like following the rotation, I do the workouts I am told with as much intensity as I can and trust Cathe knew...

Calories burned in Athletic Step and Step Moves

I think the workout manager uses the last weight you have entered in the Weigh In section since the calories burned equation using the Mets factor uses your weight as data. That's why I update my weight quite often, so that the calories burned are reflected right. I actually don't think the...

STS Shock Cardio vs. Shaun T's Insanity

I was under the impression that Shock Cardio was created to be used with STS Strength. That is the way I am using them at the moment doing Cathe's 3 1/2 months rotation and I feel they complement each other perfectly due to the various styles and intensities combined with quite intense strength...

    Equipment enquiries...

Thanks Shadowpup, most helpful... I'll buy the 25 and 30s and will look into getting the adjustable ones you have down the road. As far as I could see, there are a lot of different types of adjustable DB. I think I would probably like a setup like you have. NancyAZ: it's the Treadmill...

Ok...so lets hear about some results!!

I've downloaded the rotation in the workout manager (In workout manager - rotation - download) and it's great. It puts all the workouts in your calendar and all you have to do is do them and tick!

    Got new gym floor

It looks great! I've got a similar thing in part of mine... but the actual name of the rubber mats (they look like the kids colored mats) was: Garage mats! anyway, they do the job. Great space you've got there. I call my gym my escape room. Sometimes I go in there and don't even work out...

    I love the downloads!!

I agree! I downloaded all the STS and dozens more! All on my harddrive connected to my TV. It's cheaper, easier, faster... I love the downloads too!

How different is the STS to P90X?

www.cathedownloads.com is the best place to see part of the videos. I now download everything, it's cheaper and you get your workout rightaway (I downloaded STS). It lets you see about 10 minutes of the workout, which is a good indication of what is in it.

    Just started STS on Sunday

Hi, I'm pretty new to the forums too and to STS and am finishing Meso 1 today! I felt pretty bad about the push ups too, always have hated them, but would LOVE to be good at them. I'm a teacher at the military university and all my students have to do pushups and pass fitness tests and...

How different is the STS to P90X?

Hi! I have P90X, but never managed to go far into it, because Tony Horton annoys me too much! I don't actually think it's harder than STS (the Yoga and Plyo legs are the hardest, but in my opinion, if you can do Cathe's workouts, you can definitely do P90X. Tony talks a lot, doesn't do all...

Workout Manager - do you like it?

Hi, I love the workout manager... I downloaded the STS Shock Cardio 3 1/2 months rotation in it and it takes all the guess work out of the equation. It's motivating because I am told what I should be doing and always manage to get it done so I don't fall behind. It's an excellent tool for me...

    Core cardio circuit vs HiiT?

Met value for CCC I'm glad to see I'm not the only finding this one hard! Has anyone noticed that the Mets value for CCC in the workout manager is 7 (!) while for HiiT it's 10... I found CCC harder than all the HiiT... Questionable!!!

    Equipment enquiries...

Thank you everyone for your input. I did go to Costco to see the Ironman set and couldn't get them to work on the demo, and they are VERY bulky, so I opted out of that one. Then I found a place where they still sell the HEX rubberised dumbbells for $1 a pound (another store was telling me...

    Equipment enquiries...

I'm doing the 3 1/2 months STS Shock Cardio rotation and I'm finishing the 4th week this week (only cardio next week). Now, the problem I am facing with Meso 2 is the dumbbells. I mainly used 8, 10, 13, 15, 20 dumbbells for Meso 1, but I already feel like I could use 25 pds with some exercises...
