Ideas for power lunge sub in KickMax?

Hi Marie - If you still want to do power but don't want to go quite as deep as a lunge, try doing power squats (if you have C&W, its like the power squats in the last cardio but just no step). I sometimes will do those intead of the lunges depending on how I feel that particular day as I, too...

Newly pregnant--does my exercise need to change?

Oh yes I was more conscious of that, too, good point. And I always had a fan blowing on me, as well, as I was always worried about about getting too warm. Wow. Looking back...was I ever careful!!

    Good Multi-Vitamin ...

I use Rainbow Light's multi for women. Their vitamins are food-based and I do find they help with my energy level.

    Kari Anderson

I really like Kari Anderson, but I don't own a lot of her workouts. I love Angles, Lines & Curves 1&2 and plan to get her new Reach video soon. Her Body Tech workout is fun...half step/half weights. Not advanced like Cathe but it's ok to do on low energy days. The step portion is easy to follow...

    Healthy Cookbook Ideas Please?

The New Moosewood Cookbook by Mollie Katzen is a vegetarian classic if you want to try meatless recipes (which will help cut down the expense). I really don't enjoy cooking...my husband is the "chef" in our little family... but for something quick/easy (that usually means meatless to me!) and...

    Favorite healthy cereals.

One of my all-time favorites is Cascadian Farms Hearty Morning cereal. It's got 8 grams of dietary fiber. But I'm bummed as I recently moved (just one state over) and I haven't been able to find it anywhere!

Newly pregnant--does my exercise need to change?

Congratulations on your pregnancy! When I was pregnant, I just followed the signals my body gave. During the first trimester, I remember fatigue setting in around the time of morning sickness and just worked out when it felt right to and modified when needed. As my belly grew, there came a...

    musclemax

MM is my favorite total body workout next to ME. It goes along at a great pace. The hour or so it takes to do it always goes by quickly to me (just like when I do ME). Once I used the upper body only premix when I wanted to give my legs a break but I usually do this one in its entirety. I...

    Who Looks Like you?

I've been told that I look like Mariska Hargitay from Law & Order: SVU. I've also been told I look like Geena Davis but most people think I could be Mariska Hargitay's sister! Diana

    best leg workout for hamstrings???

I really felt my hamstrings the first time I did GS Legs. And I believe it was the standing portion that did it for me. I agree with others who say the stability ball work in both GS Legs and PLB is great for the hamstrings, too. For me, leg work using the stability ball is always challenging...

Kick, Punch, Crunch 1st time yesterday

This is a fun one and I usually feel pretty worked out after doing it. I didn't always like it as I'm not a huge fan of kickbox workouts but I've grown to enjoy it. I think it's more fun than Kickmax. The core work on the stability ball helped to get my abs back in shape after having my baby.

    MIS

This is a great total body workout. It's easy to modify. I used it when I was pregnant and modified when necessary. After it sat for quite a while unused I did this one again several months ago and was actually sore the next day. Now I'm back to using it more often to add variety to my strength...

    Got HSTA & HCE today

I actually liked all the plants and the set on HST. I thought the HC series needed more plants. I guess I like the greenery and feeling of clean air on the set!

    Tried a Supersets Premix...

I use the SS/PP dvd the least but I've been wanting to change up my upper body workouts..at least add something new into my rotations. I wanted to match L&G with an upper body so after doing L&G Monday, I followed it with a SS Upper Body Blast. I was skeptical about it...not sure if I would...

    Imax 2 vs Imax 3

I agree with some of the other posts that Imax 3 is tougher to do but harder on the knees. I have to modify a lot of the jumps. I like Imax 2 better - it's more fun to do and I like the music and choreography a little better, too. I really like C&W, too. It's got the fun factor going for it and...

    Muscle Max vs Muscle Endurance

These are my top two favorite total body workouts from Cathe. Muscle Max is more focused on strength while ME is more focused on endurance. Both are advanced. With MM you can use light weight and build up to heavier weight and use a pink band to start with instead of a green band for the...

    Kickmax Premixes

Thanks Karen and Jooge! I really appreciate the input. I'm in the process of moving and have no time to preview right. I do like KPC better than KM but will do KM the same week as KPC as I count the 10 blasts toward my weekly interval training goal. I'm not really a kickbox fan but will...
