I feel like a crazy person

I remember when I was pregnant (dd is 19 months old now) I would get emotional over some rather tiny things, mostly crying, not yelling. I am a group fitness instructor and when the Yoga class I was teaching ended for the session at the rec center I was teaching at I got really weepy about it at...

    MIS vs. ME vs. MM

Hi Cheryl - I love MM. It's my favorite total body workout along with ME. Like ME, MM moves along at a good pace and has good variety of exercises. Cathe uses the band in this one for an extra "oomph" which really works! I always feel well-worked out after doing it. The music is good in this...

    high step challenge

I'm like endorphinjunkie - it took me a few workouts to warm up to High Step Challenge but I like it now. I just did HSTA this morning and, as usual, it kicked my booty! I like this one better than HSC as I think it flows a little better, but I like the ab/core routine on HSC and usually add it...

Pure Strength or Gym Styles for building and toning?

RE: Pure Strength or Gym Styles for building and toning... I recommend the Gym Style workouts. I like Pure Strength, too, but find that series a little easier than the GS workouts. But the floor work in PS legs with the bar always leaves me nice and sore. Overall, though, I'd go with GS.

    Update 3/15/06

Thank you for the update. This must be terribly frustrating for you on a daily basis but you've got tons of support here. Take the time needed to heal completely so you are back to the level you want to be for filming. The wait will be worth it! Diana

WOW...Boot Camp just kicked my Booty!!

Isn't it great? I did this workout this morning. This workout used to really kick my butt but it's not as hard to me now since getting in even better shape using the Hardcore series (and adding interval training at least once a week), but it still makes me breathe and I have more fun doing it...

    Hello Michigander's!

Hi there! I live in Canton (Michigan, not Ohio!). Just moved back to the area a couple of months ago after living in Ohio (Cleveland area) for 3 years. Diana

    Some Unfortunate News!

Oh, how absolutely frustrating! I'm sorry to hear about the setback. Do what you have to do to heal...that's the most important thing right now. You've got tons of support here. Diana

    Congratulations Wendy (Fit Mom)!!!!

Congrats Wendy! Isn't it a great feeling? I reached my pre-preggo weight the day after my daughter turned 9 months old. It was nice to be able to do it in under a year. I'm also still a work in progress (always have been ;) )! Diana

    Slow and Heavy

Hi Deanie - I use S&H the least of all Cathe's weight workouts. I've been getting much better results with the Gym Styles and find they are more enjoyable to do. I do S&H during a week when I'm looking for variety and don't want to get burned out doing the GS workouts but looking back it's...

    Twinge in my kneecap

Hi Kelly - Occasionally, I get a twinge of pain in my right knee when doing kickbox moves, most notably during jump kicks. Sometimes it's enough to make me stop and cringe in pain. Make sure your workout shoes haven't gotten too worn out. Whenever my knee starts to act up on a consistent basis...

    Slings, Wraps, Pouches, Carriers

I used the New Native Baby Carrier and loved it. My baby was always quite comfy in it. All fabric, sling style. No annoying buckles, straps, etc. It was very easy getting her in and out of the car seat with it. There are about a half dozen ways you can carry your baby in it but I liked the...

    daughter's pierced ear troubles!

I remember a long time ago (longer than I care to remember!) I got my ears double pierced. The double was after my initial piercings. My lobes did not like the new holes - always irritated, always infected. I had to let them close and be happy with just the original single piercing. I was bummed...

What Multivitamin do you take, and why?

I take Rainbow Light's Women's One formula. I like Rainbow Light vitamins because they are food-based and don't contain additives/fillers, etc. I don't take them everyday as I agree with Nancy that you can get most of the nutrients contained in multis from eating a well-rounded diet. But I will...

Favorite Workout that uses High Step

A second vote for HST (adding the A on always seems so redundant to me as most of Cathe's workouts are advanced!). This is a fun circuit workout and I always feel like I've gotten a thorough workout after doing this one. Lots of leg presses in this one but it's one workout that helped whip me...
