    Spacing between pregnancies

I know I read somewhere that it takes your body 18 months to recover from pregnancy. If you breastfeed, you may consider waiting until the baby is done nursing. Mine are 27 mo's apart and are very close so I don't think you need to worry about having them so close together. Enjoy your baby...

    kick, punch, &crunch...jumpy?

I would suggest if you do buy the tape, you might want to do the routine when your neighbors aren't home. I think it is very "jumpy" and can't really see doing it without the power moves. I know if I didn't do the high impact moves, I wouldn't get the workout I desire.

choreography of "step blast" and "step jump and pump?"

RE: choreography of I just did "Step Blast" and found it pretty complicated but only because there are lots of new moves...which is a good thing. I think I will be able to master the moves after a few more tries. I rarely do "Rythmic Step", just don't really like the workout. I would say...

    ? about Cathe's age...

FYI: I was 30 with my first and 37 with my 3rd and I can definitely say it is MUCH harder on your body the older you are. I didn't want any kids until I was 30. I am now 40 and wish I had started earlier because I would love to have a 4th but not willing to take the extra risks (namely Down's...

    Cathe, as women age..

RE: Wow! Thanks for all the responses and info.. I am just commenting on this portion of your post: "but then when you see some women who are in their forties and still look lean, (like Cathe) you'd like to know if they experienced the same thing or not." FYI: Cathe is not 40, she just...

    Cathe, as women age..

I understand exactly how you feel. I really noticed the change at 38...ate the same and exercised the same (which I do alot) but slowly have gained a few pounds. I am now 40 and for the first time in my life, I have to watch what I eat. My weight isn't much higher but I feel like I have a...

    Cathe's Toughest

I have never done the entire MIC-just the step portion because I very much dislike floor aerobics-too much jumping. I think IMAX2 is toughest.

    Any runners out there?

I ran throughout all of my pregnancies, really never stopping until the last few weeks. I ran a 5K during my 3rd pregnancy at 5 mo's in 25 min. I think if you follow the talk test rule and have been a runner prior to pregnancy you can do it. If you have any qualms about it, by all means put...

Why does Cathe wear a black band around her wrist?

I believe she wears the band on her left wrist to remind her that side is her "right" side when cuing the videos.

Cathe! Torn Glutes: Can you help?

I am curious if your pain is where the hamstrings meet your glutes. I have always had tight hams in that area and a few days ago, the pain became very severe. I don't remember any specific event that caused the pain. I have been running for 20+ years, only every other day for a few years now...

Cathe, did you cut back while trying to get........

I'm not Cathe but I can tell you my experience. I have always fervently worked out (lots of cardio) and never had to cut back to get pregnant. I think the key is not how much you work out but how much body fat you have. If your body fat is so low that you don't regularly menstruate, that is...

Did working out keep you from being OVERDUE?

I worked out every day when I was pregnant with all three: #1 was born on her due date, #2 was born a week late and #3 was 9 days late. From all the posts, the trend indicates working out may cause you to be overdue!

    Help - Plantar Wart

You are going to think this is so weird...but my sister "wished" her plantar wart away. I am telling you, it really worked. Every day she would "wish it away." That's all I know.

    Powerstrike 3 DVD reviews?

I have all three Powerstrike videos too. I am in very good shape and am rarely sore after I workout. However, EVERY time I do Powerstrike 1 my gluts are so sore, I mean it is a sore I cannot even explain. I definitely think 1 is the toughest. That section where you kick and then touch the...

my neck is just killing me- help!

I have a 2 yr old that weighs 33 lbs. About 11 mos after he was born, I had terrible neck pain for almost a year on my left side. Well, that was the side I slept on the majority of my pregnancy and that was the side I had to lay on when I nursed him in bed (so he wouldn't fall out!) I...

    Tubal ligation

Thanks for all your input. My appt (consultation)is next week and then the big decision. Even though I am fast approaching 40, it is still hard to let go of my fertility. I don't know what it is...I guess I don't want to admit I am not a youth anymore, even though I feel like one (because all...

    Any Wisconsites doing Cathe?

I am from Monroe, in SE WI. I am Cathe's BIGGEST WI fan. I have been doing her tapes forever. I have them all. My dream is to go to one of her live fitness classes. I told my husband that is what I want for my 40th birthday. Angie

    Tubal ligation

I am considering a tubal ligation and was wondering about the recovery period. Has anyone had one and can you tell me what to expect as far as recovery goes? Thank you. PS My DH won't even consider a vasectomy as he had one and had it reversed so we could have one last baby and it worked! I...
