Your doctor is right, cortisol is a contributing factor to how you are feeling. That is not to say, Clare isn't onto something. I wish I lived in Ann Arbor. :D Here is some information that I extracted from Dr. Diana Schwarzbein's books. Metabolism is the combined effects of all the...

    Metabolic Training

Hello Julie: I am not Cathe, obviously. :o I hope you don't mind me attempting to answer your question until Cathe can. Metabolic training is not new, and it is certainly not new to Cathe. Call it metabolic training, call it circuit training, call it interval training, call it bootcamp –...

    Best shoe for high impact?

The Nike Free are super comfie. I use mine almost exclusively for kickbox. Thanks for responding Laura, I looked at the tread on Amazon and Zappos. The Ryka's certainly don't look as sticky/grippy as my Nike Zoom running shoes are. I would never be able to wear the Zooms for step workouts...

 Yikes! I wear Asics Gel Intensity - and have been experiencing painful cramping in my arch. Just pointing my toe during leg lifts will set it off. Do the Ryka 2 running shoes allow for lateral movement?

    Janis! Janie! All readers!

World Book Night is tonight! Oh how I wish I could to partake in the event. I wonder which communities are participating in this venture. Is there a list of the cities somewhere? I'll join the mailing list for the 2013 event. What a great list, too. I read, and loved, Barbara...

Another book thread - Hmmm I wonder what Clare's reading?

Kim-inator! I hear ya on the no time to read, but then again I read a lot of non-fiction too. I don't know what I'm doing with over 100 un-read titles on my Kindle. Most of them were free that I should sample and trash... even so, I keep hoping there will be more gems in the mix. :) I did find...

Hi Janie Thank you for responding! Of course I don't mind. :D Clare comes to my mind because she has made so many great suggestions over the years. As a matter of fact, I think she was the first Cathlete to recommend, "The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo". I believe this was well before the...
