Anybody Gluten Free, and loving it?

Wow. You guys. Thanks for the responses :o So much to think about/research. OK, so I'll try to address some of the stuff that you guys have said, so that you have a little more background than my earlier truncated version, lol.. *First, I was not having any of the gut issues associated...

Anybody Gluten Free, and loving it?

Hey Jenn :) That's my issue...my diet was VERY grain rich before. I've been grinding my own grains and making all of my baked goods 100% whole grain, and from scratch for about 7 or so years now (switched to that hoping for "healing" when I gave up processed/white flour/white sugar foods). So...

STS BODY ROCKERS WEEK OF 12/12

Hey girls! Phone check-in's suck! But that's what I'm reduced to lately. I'm rarely at the PC, so whenever I get ready to check in via phone, something goes wrong, or I talk myself out of it (y'all know how I like to ramble :o , and I just can't do that w/the phone...). Needless to...

Anybody Gluten Free, and loving it?

Because I'm not :( I guess I should give some background (I'll try to give the truncated version). I have endometriosis (horrible TTOM cramps, etc), TTOM migraines, and random aches pains that seem to have no cure. I've gone through the surgeries, eliminated various things from my diet here...

    STS Pyramid Challenge - December

Hey girls!! Long time no check-in, eh?! I'm almost never at the PC anymore, so every time I get ready to check in on my phone, I find an excuse not to, lol. My back is...ok. I did finish up the last two wo's of M2 last week, & started in M3 yesterday. I can't believe how far every one is...

    Any MyFitnessPal users?

I do eat back my exercise cals... it did take me longer to lose, but it was more realistic for me, in order to keep it off. But I have to agree with what the other ladies said, those last lbs are ALMOST impossible. But it can be done. They require you to take it to the next level, when you...

    STS first time!

Hey Ladies! Just wanted to give congrats to you all for getting ready to start w/STS. It's a great program and you're sure to love it and be SO proud of yourself when you finish! There are a couple of STS check-in's over in the check-in and challenges forum, if you wanted to have even more...

    STS Pyramid Challenge - December

Hey girls! I'm on my rest week, too! I ended up taking it early because I was having back issues at the end of M2, so I finished up all of the workouts except the last 2 back/bi wo's. I'll (hopefully! :o ) be tacking those on to the beginning of M3 when I start back next week. Jules...

    STS BODY ROCKERS WEEK 12/5=)

Hey ladies. I've been (not) enjoying my recovery week over here, seeing as it coincides w/TTOM  . So it's the usual, cramping, migraine, nonsense...and eating WAY too much chocolate, lol.. just can't help myself :p I did finally sneak in a premix of CycleMax, and it was an awesome...

Thank you Cathe!! I am now a figure competitor!!

That's so awesome!!! I remember reading, I don't know, maybe a year or more ago(?) when you were saying that you wanted to use STS as a jumping off point to go into prep for competing... ^5 on not giving up on your goals!!! ;)

STS Body Rockers Week of November 27th :)

Hey girls!!! Long time, no check-in, eh? :p Things got all crazy over here, and I'm hoping they'll be slowing down a bit now. We had company come in Thanksgiving week, so I was all over the place w/errands and such crazy cleaning which included DH renting a Rug doctor "for me" :rolleyes...

    STS Pyramid Challenge - November

Hey girls! Well my PC bit the dust, as well, so my check-ins are sporadic at best :( I can check in either via phone or my sons laptop, so it's a little crazy. I'm on my third week of M2, (Steph's Favorite :p) - enter the "Double Wave Load". I love that technique, too bad this was...

    STS Pyramid Challenge - November

Yay, Steph! Look at you stepping out of your comfort zone (and the stone age! :p) LOL. I didn't even consider the pyramid down aspect of the ticker, lol. Maybe you should add to your signature that you're pyramidding down, to explain why the ticker is moving forward and then back, lol. Well...

STS Body Rockers - Week of November 13th

Hey girls. Spent ALL day yesterday running errands (taking DS to get sports physical, taking one car in to the dealership for maintenance, and the other across town to get state inspection, as well as a zillion other things on the "to-do" list in prep for company coming in next week for...

    STS Pyramid Challenge - November

Steph: I would totally re-think doubling up if I were you. You have to remember you are pushing yourself harder and lifting heavier than before. When you're lifting that heavy, IMO you need the rests. People like to think that more work = more results, but that's not always true. The magic...

Trying to Stick With a Budget

ITA, this is exactly how I feel. It's so much a part of my routine, that it is not a time burden. It's just as easy to make two of something as it is to make one, so I love doubling recipes and keeping the deep freezer stocked w/homemade convenience items....I also always plan our menus at...

Trying to Stick With a Budget

You can also look for a co-op in your area, that's what I do. I purchase 25-50# bags of grain from Quail Cove Farms here on the east coast, but I think maybe you have Azure standard for your neck of the woods.

    STS Pyramid Challenge - November

Funny how most of us ended up in M2 together, lol. Just heading in different directions on the pyramid... Tracy: Yes, MFP has an app! :D If it didn't, I wouldn't be able to do it, lol. I've tried logging my food a zillion times before, but now it's super easy, and I stick to it. I love the...

Trying to Stick With a Budget

We grind our our grains too (spelt, kamut, corn, wheat, buckwheat, even beans, lentils, etc). We have a Nutrimill grinder, which was an investment initially, but has proven to be priceless over the years. I love the benefits if having freshly ground flours, and the taste is the best. To the...
