4 Day Split- I love the kickbox, the step routines, and the weight work in this one!
High Reps-Probably my favorite total body workout
Lower Body Blast-for a real leg burner
I'm no expert on kettlebells, but with proper technique you shouldn't hit your forearms to the point of bruising. I know the first couple of times I used them I ended up with bruises on my arms, but then I watched some youtube videos to figure out what I was doing wrong. I still struggle with my...
I love, love, love this workout, it's my favorite! Just skip the lower body segments and it's totally low impact. I've been having problems with my foot and can't do high impact, so I've never actually done the lower body blitzes and it still gets my heartrate up there. This one is definitely...
Hi Cathe,
I have been doing interval training using your DVDs and I have to give myself longer breaks in between most of the intervals. I have asthma and have always had poor cardiovascular function and I want to change that. My question: is there a percentage of max heartrate that I should...
Do you remember rockers vs new wavers? You were apparently a new waver. I was a rocker. :) for me it was Motley Crue, Ozzy, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Def Leppard, Poison, Iron Maiden, Metallica.
But it was in relation to people not going to the gym and one of the reasons mentioned was that maybe more people are working out at home. That naturally evolved into people's preferences for working out at home or working out in the gym. I was just stating my preference. I did make a comment...
I was wondering the same thing. In the video clips it looks they are using lighter kettlebells. Does anyone know what weight they are using? I don't have a lot of experience with kettlebells yet. I mostly use a 15 and sometimes a 20 for Lauren Brooks volume 2. From looking at the video clips I...
I'm another one who prefers to work out at home. I have no desire to go to a gym and I don't think it's necessary. I don't see any reason why I would have to use the machines, I'm perfectly happy with my free weights and my Cathe DVDs. :)
I can't wait to do this workout! But yes when I was previewing I thought the triceps were short changed. I guess I'll see though when I actually do the workout.
There is a cardio only premix. It's 23 minutes long and has 6 rounds with 2 different exercises in each round. In most of the rounds the first exercise is more plyo type and the second is more of a fast paced leg workout that gets the heartrate up. It's mostly high impact and they aren't timed...
I have turbo bells. I don't know how much they are now, but they were quite a bit less than ST when I bought them. I have had them for about 5 years. They are slightly clunky, but I can do everything with them that I can do with regular dumbells. The ones I have go from 3-24 lbs. They also have...
Another 4DS fan here! These are some of my favorite Cathe workouts. I agree with the others that the step routines are so much fun, they are definitely my favorite step routines. The kickboxing is my favorite kickboxing and the weight routines are some of my favorites. I find bootcamp to be only...
