    "Down Days" from Cathe's workouts

RE: I run or push my daughter up and down hills in her stroller. Kathy Smith has a few intermediate tapes that are decent. I'd also call the Firm intermediate. None of their tapes ever make me work as hard as Cathe but they are nice for an off day.

Has Anybody bought from this Ebay Seller before!

I've purchased two or three DVDs from them and haven't noticed any significant problems. They don't appear to be bootlegs but what do I know. The only thing that ticked me off was that I won three tapes and emailed three times about combining shipping. Somehow they never got the emails (rolleyes).

    Best heart rate monitor/calorie monitor?

I've purchased two on ebay and both were total busts. One didn't work at all. The other one you have to stop and hold the reset button down for 2 seconds and then hold the sensor at the edge of the watch for 10 seconds while it gets your pulse. x( Is there a moderately priced one out there...

Can I use anything else in the place of a high step?

Kathryn, I do have a step but I only have 6 risers. If I put three under each side, it probably won't be enough for leg work, right? I guess I could put it on a few 2x4s! LOL!

    Best premixes?

I'm still getting through all of my new Cathe DVDs so I haven't ventured much into the premixes yet. Can any of you tell me which ones are your favorites? I have all of the new series, IMAX 3, Muscle Max, Rhythmic Step, KPC, & Supersets. Are there any great premixes on these?

Can I use anything else in the place of a high step?

We're headed out on vacation next month so I'm saving all of my pennies. Someday I'll actually buy the high step topper. Until then, what else can I use in it's place? Our weight bench doesn't quite work because it has the foot plates and bench press attatched. Thanks.

    KPC...not that hard?

I didn't know he had a video on his own. I'm off to look for it. That guy really managed to kick my butt. I first did Aerobox when I was training for a marathon and still lifting heavy at the gym (meaning I was in awesome shape) and it still managed to drain me.

    KPC...not that hard?

    >Try adding 1-3 pound hand weights to your kickbox workouts. I >use them all the time and it really ups the intensity!! > >http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=8019309&uid=3879914&members=1 Good idea. Thanks. I'll give it a try.

    KPC...not that hard?

    >I have done a Kathy Smith video in years! > >I used to love her workouts! > >So her Aerobox is a hard workout? > >Where did you buy it -- at Collage? > > I don't honestly remember where I bought it (it's been years) but I've seen it on ebay recently. Kathy Smith is no where near as...

    HIIT - Treadmill Workout

I used to do HIIT all the time when I was reading Bill and Shawn Phillips' stuff. I don't remember the particulars. I think Bill P did his 20 MAS which was something like this: Min 1-2 warm up Min 3 work at level 5 intensity Min 4 level 6 Min 5 level 7 Min 6 level 8 Min 7-10...

    KPC...not that hard?

Amy, I couldn't have said it better. I've done Kathy Smith's Aerobox several times before and that TOTALLY kicks my butt. Otherwise most Kickboxing type videos don't. It's good to see I'm not alone.

    KPC...not that hard?

I have about 10-12 Cathe videos and each one manages to kick my butt. I've heard so many great things about KPC so I just got it in the mail. It was a ton of fun to do but it was a much easier workout for me than all of the others (exception: some of the ab work). It's the first video where I've...

Question about the original IMAX vs IMAX2 and 3

Guys, thanks so much! I feel a bit better about having to stop twice last night while doing IMAX. :) I love that she breaks up the moves in IMAX2 and 3 as that was the hardest part for me. It's not that I can't stay anaerobic that long, it's that it's too hard on my knees. It sounds like...

Question about the original IMAX vs IMAX2 and 3

I just bought the Rhym. Step with the first Interval Max on it. It was a fun, shorter workout that still managed to kick my butt. Are the other two IMAX workouts the same format? Are they the same length of time? Is it worthwhile to buy the other two?

Which DVD should I get next?

I currently have: Drill Max Cardio Fusion Low Impact Circut Body Max 2 I've ordered Kick, Punch and Crunch. I also just received Rhythmic Step/Interval Max/MIC from a friend but the DVD is too scratched to work. What are the next 2-3 that you would suggest? I'm thinking about IMAX...

    High step question

I'm looking in to some of the High Step Cathe videos. Right now, I have a gym sized Reebok step with three risers on each side. Is that sufficient for these videos or will I really need to go higher? Also, if I find another two risers per side, would that work or do I need a smaller platform to...
