I signed up for a race in deep sand (sand dunes). The advice is to wear "trail shoes", so sand doesn't gather in your toes. Any advice on which shoes would serve that purpose? I am thinking Keens, but have no experience with these types of shoes. Thanks for any advice you may have! Jenn

My 101 (which was only $100) works for a long time and the battery is replaceable! 2 AAA batteries and I am good to go. I have had the 101 for several years. While I only use it in the spring/summer, it is still going strong! Jenn
