Shoe advice

I signed up for a race in deep sand (sand dunes). The advice is to wear "trail shoes", so sand doesn't gather in your toes. Any advice on which shoes would serve that purpose? I am thinking Keens, but have no experience with these types of shoes.

Try the Merrell range of shoes, they have footwear for every activity and superb craftsmanship, will last.

FWIW, I have a pair of Keen Trail Shoes that are hands down the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

Thanks for the advice! I will check out your suggestions! I know it will be a hard race (2 miles), but I am looking forward to a new challenge!!
