Save 50% on all Cathe Downloads - Sale Ends 1-5-25

These sales are definitely forcing me to test my will power. I had a bunch of stuff I put in my cart yesterday but ultimately decided to dump it. I'm getting to the point now where I have several new workouts I've not even touched yet, and that frustrates me because it makes me feel like I'm starting to waste money.

I have a sneaking suspicion that LMRE is going to get shipped around the time my current rotation ends, and that means some of those workouts I bought a few months ago still won't get touched because I'll be jumping on the LMRE rotation bandwagon.

Trying to remind myself there will be more sales in the future.

On the other hand, all these sales keep making me nervous because they feel like "going out of business" type of discounts. They're getting rid of as much as they can as fast as they can. Hoping I'm wrong! But I acknowledge at some point, dear Cathe deserves to enjoy retirement in the not-so-distant future.

I really like those TPE Yoga Mats we got for Xmas and if they discount them just a little more, I may pick up another one or two for the same price we got them for during the BF sales & I may throw in some water bottles, lifting gloves and socks in the cart
I agree with you on the mats, I got the blue/yellow one, but same here, would love to
get the other one …..

Another theory is that end of the age of DVDs is too close, if not already here! Current laptops are not equiped with CD/DVD devices and Smat TVs provide access through USB connections and, of course, streaming. About the future, let's wait and see, going functional for ageing is a sign of thinking of age!

That’s right, I believe when I got mine it was like $17.45, but with the other items I got,
there was an additional 30% off, so it was like $12-13. I’d get the other one at that price
:)

I'm going through my dvds and making a list of my favorites and most used. Then I will purchase the downloads. I've been a bit resistant to technology, but it's here, things are changing and at some point when my dvd player breaks I probably won't be able to replace it. So, I'm preparing for the future.

So I found 6, cardio workouts, and I may buy a few more. Anyone recommend the one dumbbell Live? Sounds interesting , unilateral work is always fun and I don’t have much. if you have a favourite cardio LIVE workout to recommend, I’d appreciate it. I prefer low impact but mixed impact is fine too.

Changing technology gets expensive, and sometimes I think that’s the point. I will find a way to keep using DVDS because I am not losing STS, the original. But I have changed to buying downloads now. The cost of shipping made that change for me. And it’s nice to have the series faster. DVDs took two weeks to get here.

We have purchased these over the years and like them all:
113 Boxing HIIT Blasts & Core 48 min (40 cardio /~8 min core)
140 LI Cardio HIIT 35 min
247 Time to HIIT It - LI 39 min
287 Cardio Kickbox LI HIIT & Abs 52 min (~40 main, ~12 min Core)
301 All LI Kickbox, HIIT & Core ~51 min (~38 min without core)
325 40/20 HIIT ~42 min
329 Boxing HIIT Express ~32 min (we both like this one better than 527 Boxing HIIT 2)
478 LI HIIT w/Active Recovery 31 min
484 Cardio Core Express 33 min

We just purchased some more LI Cardio with this sale, but haven't done them yet.

We also purchased that 570 One Db TB, but haven't done it yet, but the few reviews were good.

You are a good influencer! Broke the budget and downloaded STS 2.0! Did Giantset Total body yesterday. It was encouraging to see a male assistant in Cathe's team, although hidden in a corner! It was good, effective but Cathe was not slow enough to allow heavy weights with good form, letting me reduce the reps to insure the form, something I learned from Caroline Girvan's YT IRON series. Thanks for the good advice;).

You are a good influencer!

Glad to be an enabler - plenty of Cathletes have done the same for me over the years. That's why we have almost every dvd Cathe has produced. :)

That male assistant is Al. He's in much of STS2.0 , Xtrain, RWH & sometimes shows up in Live kickbox workouts. He is/was a member of Cathe's gym.

STS2.0 isn't traditional strength work with 4-6-8 reps and 2-3 minute rests. STS2.0 is more for hypertrophy,, but im glad you were able to modify it for your needs/wants. You may find it easier to do so in the other phases. The only Cathe workouts that are more true strength are in Meso 3 of the original STS. Another bargain at 50% off. (I personally don't use Meso 3 as much as the rest periods make me antsy & I get distracted with doing other things during them).

STS2.0 is more for hypertrophy
I do understand that, and also that hypertrophy leads to increase in muscle size while you focus on Strength Training, progressive overloading, etc. But still i couldn't follow Cathe's pace while focusing on good form lifting heavy weights! Didn't rest longer, just managed one or two less reps!
Regarding the original STS, Cathe was describing XTrain (with two male assistances!), which i already have, as an improvement over original STS. STS 2.0, which i now have, is even considered an updated version of the original.

You took notice! Xtrain uses an undulating approach instead of linear like the original STS, which my body responds to better. I still use the original STS, for variety, but seldom as linear - i switch it up to be more undulating. I use Xtrain much more. And I like STS2.0, but if I do it too long, my UB gets a bit larger - my sleeves get a bit snug, so I do something else for awhile.

Would that mean, i'll finish STS2.0 looking like Schwarznegger?! Oh, No, Don't tell me that it is for pure bodybuilding! I still, however, need to do XTrain's undulating rotation since i only, until now, did repetetions of its combination with LIS rotation!
