Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 11/12

Worked my legs, calves and abs this morning and had a pretty good workout. Aunt Flo paid a visit last night and I'm not feeling very good this morning. Kind of in a fog for some odd reason. I'm very light headed and there were a few times I thought I was going to pass out. I hate when I feel like this.

45 second rest between each set.

LEGS
Squats:
125# - 4/4/4
105# - 12
85# - 20/20
***Dropped a lot from last week. Got good range of motion on every set.

Leg Press Station:
260# - 4/4
245# - 12
200# - 20/20

Skipped Lunges. Just didn't have it in me to do them.

Elevated SLDL's:
105# - 4/4
85# - 12/12

Leg Extensions:
85# - 20/20 (Up 5#)
***This and calf raises are the only exercises I went up in weights.

CALVES
Leg Press Station Calf Raises:
240# - 20/20/20/20 (up 5#)
***Toes forward, in, out, forward

ABS
Body Max 2 AB work
***Love this ab workout.

Morning,

I had a sissy workout this morn:rolleyes: I did MIS & finished with MIS abs :) There's no need to list stats, I didn’t go heavy at all. I used my 20lb vest and grab a 10 & 15 lbs dumbells for legs and for my upper I used a 35 lb BB and 15 lbs DB. I'll be back need to get bond report out to members.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Gonna work shoulders and then go on elliptical. Got some cleaning to do today too. Been doing better with my meals, but the scale is still annoying.

Eat some chocolate. lol. Still a very good workout. You just have to do what you can do and allow the body time to recover from all the Aunt Flo headaches.

Okay, I'm getting a little tired of these migs (as my sister calls them :)). I started getting ANOTHER ONE last night so I took more Imitrex and went to bed. The bad thing is that it wipes me out. I was so tired this morning so I bagged my workout. :mad: I knew that my workout started with chins and I didn't want to blow them. I was hoping to do better on them this week. So I'm going to make up that workout - hopefully Friday. Or maybe tomorrow. Not sure yet. I'll have to double up a workout either tomorrow or Friday. I'll leave early on Friday so it might be easier to do it then. We'll see. I can't do it tonight b/c of the cycling club meeting.

Debbie - Sorry you're not feeling so great. That dizziness must really suck. I've been seeing lots of spots lately. I usually don't with migs, but I'm wondering if I am since I've had this one for so long.

Char - I hope you have a fantastic workout!

Oh - I'm going to cut out bananas. A gal I used to work with had migs and she said that bananas set her off and I've read that too. I've been having a banana every day in my Myoplex shake to try to gain weight. I've gained one pound. Now it will probably disappear. It was kinda freaking me out anyway. I know it sounds really stupid. By the end of the day, after dinner my stomach would be a little fuller and it would really bother me. I don't know if I'll ever be normal again. I'm a freak! :(
 
Diane Sue - I hope you can get that phone thing taken care of. I don't get how those text messages could have been done when the phone was turned off. I do know, though, that when my step son doesn't pay his bill (which is quite often) and they shut it off, he is able to receive text messages but he can't send them. Weird. Why would they allow that? I'd fight this one tooth and nail. Don't let them make you pay it.

Suz - I'm sorry you are having so many migs. That is not good. Maybe the banana's are what is triggering them. I'd definitely look at your diet first. Have you changed anything recently? Hope you feel better!

Sorry to hear about your migraines. I got one last night. All I need to do is be outside in the dark and then walk into a very bright department store...always gives me instant headaches. I told the optometrist this and he seems like he doesn't understand. I still need to workout. Been cleaning and feeling lazy right now. The shame of it all.
 
Workout is done. I need to run a couple of errands and my son is coming over to help winterize the trailer in awhile.
This mornint I ran 5 miles on the treadmill before I took the girls to school When I came home I did back and shoulders. I warmed up with 10 minute solution hot body bootcamp abs segment(this has some low back in it) I did a workout as follows:
Bowflex wide grip pulldowns 4setsx8reps 180# resistance
Bowflex close reverse grip pulldowns 4setsx8reps 180#resistance
Bowflex seated row 4setsx8reps 100# each hand resistance
Bowflex front raise 4setsx8reps 45# resistance in each hand
Bowflex side Lateral raise 4x8reps 30# each hand'
rear flys on stability ball 2x15reps 5# dumbbells
Total Body Solution shoulder work
Shoulder tubing work from Suz exercise #'s 49,50, 51,52 all diagonal moves across the body from high and low with tubing.
Flexible warrior yoga swim segment and Tracey Staehle's parts yoga segment
Total calories burned was 925; 50%fat Cardio calories were 555 and hr was up to 162.

Not a lot of time for eating this morning. Had phone calls. I had a starbucks non fat sugarfree vanilla latte with protein this morning between schools. Pre workout I had 1/2 scoop optimum nutrition gold standard whey. Post workout I had another half scoop in a smoothie with water and ice. Lunch was mixed green salad with a can of tuna and I used Annies organic smoked tomato marinade and vinegar for dressing. This is low fat and is low sodium.
 
Char - That's why I love my neurologist. He had migraines and unfortunately passed them on to his daughter (I got them from my dad who got them from his dad). So he is very understanding and will try anything to help rid me of them. And it has worked really well for the most part. This has just been a bad stretch. I'm thinking maybe first was the peanut butter and maybe now the bananas. Well, at least you have a clean house, right? No shame in that!

Diane Sue - I just can't believe how much energy you have! How did you like those shoulder exercises? They sure strengthened my shoulder when I had no strength at all. You're not in that place, but I hope they help. That's funny - I RARELY go to Starbuck's but this morning I went and got a non-fat Steamer with vanilla flavor in it. :)
 
Okay today was the first day of rethinking the training. Most everything went down in weight. Oh and I subbed close grip bench presses for the close grip pushups, I think this one of the things bothering my carpal tunnel.

20/20/15 - 60# ***started w/ 65# but made 10 reps on first set and knew I couldn't go further.

10/10/10 - 12's **down from 15's, something really fatigues my shoulder before I get here.***
Also on the CG BP it's suppose to be 25/25/25 so I am thinking of dropping the weight further to get the reps, I just read that high rep work is suppose to be good for tricep definition.

Then interval cardio at 40/60 ratio using Amy's power ups from ASC 3.

DianeSue - Thanks for the success story, makes me think there is hope for my hand.
 
Hey Maniacs! I finally found a second to post... been a busy day. This morning I did Jari Love's Slim and lean followed with about half of the TBS shoulder work. Eats so far have been P90X green smoothie, almonds/raisins, Salmon with laughing cow cheese wedge on Wasa toast and green beans.:) Doing super so far! But now ya'll made me want that cinnamon carmel cake and a latte!!:p

Diane Sue- I'm finding that Tomato soup to be quite versatile. I've added red wine and parmesan to it for a pasta sauce, I've used it as a sauce over chicken also. Mixing it the way I did (with the braun hand held) kind of made it thicker.

Suz- Darnit with those migraines! I'm so glad I don't get those. I do get headaches like Char though with the bright lights! Weird.

Teddy- That's not a sissy workout! Wha'cho talking about?;)

Debbie- Everyone's got to have cake once in awhile!:eek:

Char- Come clean my house! It needs you! I get those same headaches with the bright department store type lights. It's weird huh.

Linda- Nice workout! Hopefully tweaking it will help your hand.
 
Diane Sue-Forgot to ask you about Jari Love since I know you've done her workouts. When she does her bulgarian dead lifts, they look just like her squats. What am I missing? I've just been doing more of a straight leg bulgarian deadlift. I want to work more of the hamstrings not the quads.
Thoughts?
 
Hi all. Back to work today and it's been busy. Started with a budget meeting...very depressing. CA is in over a 20 billion dollar deficit and of course they always say they will never cut education but that always seems to be the first to get cut! UGH! Majority of my funds are frozen until mid December and it could get worse afte that! I need to workout...feel the tension starting across my shoulders. Planning on doing Pyramid UB today then off to go supervise our boys football game....we are in the championship:)

Suz...so sorry about the migs.

I'm very fortunate, DH hired a housekeeper for me:)

Hello all - well, yesterday I cleaned house and let that be my workout! I can do some serious cleaning and after being gone for a few days, I was in dire need of a fix to control my surroundings :eek: DH tells me to hire somebody but then his next sentence is - well, you would fire them before long anyway though. I never keep anybody - too picky.

Suz - hope you are feeling better. Migraines are horrible. I don't get them as much as I used to, thank goodness. We now think my DD is having ophthalmic migraines. She will need further testing.

Debbie - hope you are feeling better too.

Great workouts, everyone! I decided to apparently try to torture myself today - I did Pure Strength Legs and Abs but thought I'd go a bit heavier so I hit pause and took my time. Then I did CC#1 using bike, TM, and stepmill. I am zapped.

Dallys - I do Jari Love sometime too. I remember there being something that confused me in one of hers - it seemed like she was doing the same thing again but calling it something different.
 
I am so sick:( Ache all over and started having chills and my teeth chattering. I took aspirin and hike up the heat and got out blankets. Then later I was still having chattering teeth and took some tyleno. Feel so nauseated. Can't eat either. I think I will take some tylenol sleep and go to bed here in a bit.

Dallys, I know what you mean about the move Jari does. I just do regular deadlifts. I add things to soups like that all of the time. Makes it go a long way:D

Suz, I liked those shoulder exercises. They work the shoulders from all angles.

Man, I am so glad I don't get those migraines; those sound like something else! I have a friend whose wife gets them, and she's basically out of commission for the duration of the migraine.

I haven't been able to workout as much as I 'd like lately, which is frustrating. Yesterday I was't able to get anything in--too much work prepping my application packet for a local community college. Today I actually ditched my office hours to get in a workout (it's not that big of a deal). I did LIC. I was going to go see Mark (bf) tonight, but he's working really late, so maybe with all this extra time I'll do a little yoga, who knows. =)
 
DianeSue - I hope you feel better soon. It just sound awful!

- What shoulder exercises are you and DianeSue talking about? My shoulders are my weakest part, especially the rear delts. Would love to have something to help them. Hope the migs go away, never had one, but doesn't sound like fun.
