I got someone arrested....(long)

I love you love you love you. God bless you and your husband and thank God for the man who brought you the kitties and the judge for being so outraged by the actions of that vicious monster. Please keep us posted on everything that happens in this case and know I am praying hard for these kitties and this man's conviction. I am very pleased to know this man stands an excellent chance of doing prison time. Here in central Ohio, such cases are considered misdemeanors. I have a HUGE problem with that. I have five kitties of my own and have gotten countless neighborhood strays neutered so I know where you're coming from.

Great idea about the news. I hope it will work out. Don't forget about radio too. I would go for TV first so the little guy could be seen by all, but if it doesn't work, think morning radio show with an easy to remember website so people driving could remember the name and look it up/donate when they get to work.

I'm so grateful for people like you and your husband.

It's so unnecessary to treat animals like that. I don't, can't and won't understand people who hurt them. It's just beyond me? It just makes me so angry.

I hope this person that hurt these precious cats, gets what he deserves.

The idea is to die young as late as possible.

I don't understand why any local news would be reluctant to pass on the info of where to donate. They do it all the time here. I agree about hooking up with local animal welfare agencies like the Humane Society. If the public doesn't know this vicious monster might not do any time at all and we can't have that. This man is a danger to his unborn child, his significant other, and every poor critter who crosses his path. The public needs to know and the news will get the word out. Keep pressing. We're all behind you.

What a useless piece of human he is. I don't personally think he should go to jail. I'm more for you get what you give. So seeing as he doesnt have a tail they ought to pick him up by his you-know what and swing him around into a few walls. I don't think he'd liem it too much. THEN, he can sit in a jail cell injured w/ no help!

Good for you, Lori, both for taking care of these cats, and for getting the sadistic b#&(@$ who abused them arrested.

I'm sending positive thoughts that he will get the maximim time (short as it seems for such cruelty) on each charge.

I just don't understand how a human being can do things like this.

Does the man have any other animals around? I'd hope that they would be taken from him (since he probably will get out of jail on bail).

Same here.

>hips

I've never heard the term "stoved up," what does it mean?

>Is there a local rescue/shelter that you can link up with for
>help? It'll open you up to even more people who would care
>enough to donate money.

>Good job, by the way. :) I have no doubt animals know enough
>to be thankful and recognize a kind heart when they see one,
>and they see one in you.

Sorry, but shelters and rescues rarely (if ever) have any extra money. They do have many sympathetic ears though. You should send a DNA (do not adopt) email about this guy to all the shelters and rescues in your region. You could include a plea for financial help in that.

Animal abuse cases don't usually get much (if any) jail time. There needs to be a public outcry for it - letters to the DA and judge, etc. Some news coverage will help along those lines.

Good luck!

Jeanine

We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces. It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness and defeat and find the true soul that lies within. We are Rescue.

They should make the @$$%))# who caused the injuries and death foot the bill for all veterinary procedures (in addition to serving 15 years jail time!)

Sounds like a great idea!!

GO GIRL! Love it }( He should have that done to him on a regular basis so that he can learn about fear and what it is like to live with it daily, to see that person coming at you to hurt you again. He would learn to crouch in a corner and shiver with fear. He would soon wish for death - maybe then he would begin to see what he has done to these poor animals.

Jeanine,

Misdemeanor charges of animal cruelty may not get much jail time, but this guy is facing felony charges - 3 counts, and could get up to 15 years total.

As harsh as that is, I completely agree. What a disgusting example of a human being.

No, to my knowledge, the adult male cat was the only one that he actually "owned" - the two kittens were given to him to care for them when the owner was arrested for child pornography charges! (Sigh....just life in the ghetto people..)

Let me know what I can do to help. I can send you a donation! As my moniker shows, an injustice to a cat is an injustice to me! Grrr! I wish I was your next door neighbor, as I would help you take care of these little angels God gave us.

You and your husband are absolutely incredibly amazing for what you do. That is such a financial and emotional burden, and you guys deserve all of the help you can get. I will never understand how people could be so inhumanly cruel. I truly hope he gets at least some of what he deserves.
