Hey guys. Yesterday was a rest day. We had my parents over for dinner, bbq ribs, Spanish rice and corn on the cob. It was delicious. Then DH bought a boatload of candy for the boys to watch WWE Summer Slam and I regrettably ate a of it, plus I had a few drinks yesterday too. I feel like I will do well with eating for a week, and then I fall off the wagon. Last week I had pizza, candy (yesterday), waffles, bacon, and burgers. Not what I should be eating wanting to get rid of the 7-8 pounds I have left to lose. I had no self-control, lol.

Anyway. . . today I am going back on track with eating. So far so good, granted it is only 12:30.

Deb- the idea of a scholarship down the road, or just keeping him out of trouble is exactly what motivates me to do what I have to in order for him to keep playing. LI has a big heroin problem right now. I am hoping it goes away before they become teenagers, but I doubt it.

Cookie- I was impressed that he came up with the idea. It shows how bad he wants it. Plus, one child down makes it easier for me to prep new materials for work. I am changing my welcome back letter and back to school project.

Belinda- hope you are having fun!

Kristin

Hey girls,

quick check in before I shower. Just finished body fusion..im sweating bullets. I'm proud of myself for doing since I didn't feel like doing anything  This is the first workout since last Sunday:eek:

Amelia- good for you getting in your workout today despite not feeling like it. You'll get through this!

'Morning!
Belinda, thanks so much. I'll see if I can get in this or tomorrow evening. Where are you now in your travels?
Amelia, good for you for getting a workout in. Hang in there!
Kristin, keeping the darlings busy is really important. Heroin is all over and wrecking havoc. Beyond sad. What are you doing for a back to school project? I have a pile of copying for whenI get back on Friday to do as part of prepping for new teacher orientation. Can you believe they try to save money by not putting staples in the copy machine? It will take me quite a while to have to staple after copying.
Deb, hope all is well. Are you tired from your trip to the NYC store? Saw in a magazine plaid is the number one trend. Plaid?!!!
Got about 4 hours sleep but woke up with wicked leg and foot spasms. Going to take it easy and rest today.
Cookie

Hey guys. Just finished Athletic Step. Haven't done that one in a long time. I forgot some of the moves, lol. I just wanted to do a workout that was under an hour. Tomorrow I have ME on tap.

I took my younger DS to his reading class. He is making some good improvements. I cannot believe that I am going back to work next week :eek:

Cookie- I'm looking for a new project to do. The last few years I have given them a list of quotations about success from famous people, Michael Jordan, Vince Lombardi, Mark Twain, etc. Then they write an essay explaining the quote, what it means to them and what their goals are for their future and why. It gives me a chance to assess their writing abilities while also getting to know them. I am dabbling with the idea of doing something different this year, but I am not sure.

Okay, I need to shower and eat dinner.

Kristin

'Evening!
Belinda, safe travels! You are an inspiration. Love how you manage to workout in an rv sightseeing and traveling cross country.
Amelia, did you get in a walk today?
Kristin, I really like the project w/the quotes! Really a great way to know the darlings. I saw a boxer today and thought of you and Baxter.
Deb, how are you doing? Was today the day you went back to the dr?
Well, I've had better days. Woke up at 4 am due to someone having an argument on the street. I'm staying on the 8th floor! Couldn't go back to sleep, so now I'm tired. Worked on a project and just about completely done w/it when my laptop died. Couldn't get an appt online w/Apple so went took a taxi to store and explained out of town on business and ... Bought new one but couldn't do a data transfer. Now, I'm downloading the new Microsoft Office and hoping to redo from memory the work tomorrow. Have a conference on Thursday so, hoping I can find a copy of that ppt to review and prepare. Also, zipper on suitcase broke. Bought a new one. Over all, it's not major (other than $$) but a pain. Wish I had a glass of wine. Good thing is got my 10,000+ steps just from walking around.

Hi,

Yesterday I did GS shoulders. I took a rest day today, yesterday & today walked just under 13,000 steps so I'm really tired.

They took my stitches out today & put a butterfly bandage on. They said I am about 40% healed so should still take it easy for a couple more weeks. I went to my son's house & it was crazy how the dog went right to my incision & was smelling. I took a 1/2 day and took my son to the NY outlets for his birthday. We didn't get much it was overwhelming and they are still building more stores:confused:.

Belinda - Enjoy the rest of your vacation:)

Kristin - I didn't eat good either this weekend but with Labor Day early maybe that will help us;) It's funny I was craving chocolate today but never did get any:(

Amelia - Great job with your workout sometimes it feels good to sweat it out!

Cookie - I guess it was a good thing you are coming off a vacation . . . so much stress & $$ to start the workweek off:( I'll have to check out the article in the NYT. My brother & ds don't share a birthday just close. So not sure about the plaid but every designer high end & low have backpack's in their fall/winter line. I just hope the kids don't bring the high end backpack's to school because that has trouble written all over it:confused:

Goodnight:)

'Morning!
Trying to rebuild some of the work I did yesterday! New laptop is nice but boy $$$! Just annoyed w/myself since I've been saying for a year I needed a new one, but then waited tip it was a necessity before getting one. The rushing around yesterday to do so took a huge amount of time I don't have this week. Have a conference I'm presenting at tomorrow, and I won't even get home tip about 1:30 am tomorrow. No amount of under eye concealer will help.
Deb, hope it was enjoyable shopping with your son. Does he like to shop? Was it Woodbury? Thought of you when we were driving home last Sunday and went thru NJ. We made a stop of Beverage King in Ramsey!
Have a great day.

Morning

Im off work today ( thank goodness) so I plan on tackling a workout. Not sure what yet? I will update afterwards.

So...I have to go to the dentist this afternoon to get a tooth pulled and to fill two cavities :(:eek: I don't wanna  I'm a strong women that can handle a lot but going to the dentist turns me into a scared little girl:eek:

No word yet on my brother, I don't understand why it takes so long to get the operation set up? I know they have to take precautions but its been a month since he was diagnosed..sigh. He doing ok I guess, he doesn't talk about it. He just wants it done and over with.

I appreciate the support from you guys :)

Cookie- I too wait until the last minute for things ( like the dentist) so I understand the frustration. Hope your day goes by smoothly. did I read it correctly? 1 am?

Debbie-I see that your counting steps too, perhaps I should start doing that? It would be interesting to see the steps taken after a day at work. I tried to read back in the thread but didn't see...what did you need stitches for? :)o) Great job on your workouts.

Kristin-Great job with AS yesterday and have fun with ME today. I thought about doing step moves today, its pretty fun. I too couldn't believe the kids summer was over so quickly...there in there 2nd week of school. They like it so far :)

Belinda-Sounds like your having an amazing trip!! Dh and I have talked about getting an RV one day and traveling when the kids grow up. I would love to see yellowstone :)

What happened to Kelly and Vicki? Hello to you guys if your reading:)

Hi guys. I just finished ME. I haven't done this one in quite sometime. I am definitely going to have some DOMS tomorrow, lol.

I am going to be taking Baxter and my younger DS to a dog-friendly beach in a bit. Trying to enjoy every last bit of summer that I can. I have a lot to do to prepare for work next week, and I am just procrastinating.

Cookie- Ugh on your day yesterday! I need a new laptop too but I keep putting it off. After reading your post I have backed up my files on a zip drive just in case.

Deb- Isn't it amazing how dogs just know? Baxter is my first dog, other than when I was a kid and had one for a year. I always considered myself more of a cat person, but I absolutely love my dog now. I guess I am both because I still love cats, and their attitudes, lol.

Amelia- the amount of waiting for health care procedures and check ups is ridiculous. My dad was in the hospital in May/June because of his leg. He had to wait until July to see a specialist, then another month to see the doctor the specialist recommended. Now he has to wait until October for the next MRI. Insane!

Okay, I need to get going.

Hey girls,

we are in Toledo, Ohio visiting my family. I decided to take a brake from heavy lifting and do SBF 3 month Revolution Challenge. I am in Week 2.
So far this week I did:
Monday I did SBF LB Barre3 = 35 min + Barre 17 = 15 min
Tuesday I did SBF Vintage Lean and Toned Arms = 15 min + UB/Core/Stretch = 30 min.
Wednesday I did SBF LB Interval = 20 min + Adv.Lower Barre = 20 min.
Tomorrow I will do SBF Int. UB + Core = 15 min + Shoulders + 10 min.
Friday I will do SBF LB 2 = 20 min + Inner Thighs 3 =15 min.
Saturday I will do SBF UB/Core = 30 min + Bring Sally Up Planks = 5 min.
Sunday I will do SBF Active stretch = 20 min.

I am doing lots of walking on top. Need a brake and her workouts are perfect for traveling. I only stream her workout through my iPhone. The internet connection is so bad out west, not funny. I had to use workout dvd's a few times, since we had no connection on my phone/computer:roll eyes:

Cookie - sorry about your computer. I had to buy a new lap top not to long ago. They are pricy. Did you buy another Mac? Are you still in DC? Did you get your hair done?

Kirstin - can't believe your summer brake is almost over:eek: Sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he gets an appointment soon. Good job on ME, that's a good one.

Debbie - what's wrong with you? Why did you need stitches? I hope you are ok?Glad you listen to your body:) Take care!

Amelia - I am so sorry your brother has to go through this. I hope he gets the care he needs soon. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

I will relax and try to check in tomorrow (hopefully the internet is up:roll eyes:)

Good night, girls.

Hi,

I did Great Glutes today, but didn't do the compound exercies even though I feel like I can:confused:

Belinda & Amelia - You may have missed it but had an atypical mole removed, when it came back from the lab they wanted to go back & clean up the margins, so they needed to cut around the mole so it wouldn't come back. Everything is good, just puts me at a higher risk for melonoma.

Belinda - What does your family think of your workouts . . . wonderwoman:)

Kristin - Someday you may have both dog & cat, it's amazing that some do get along.

Amelia - It is so stressful when you have to wait for them to set-up the operation & wait for results:confused: I'm sure you would be surprised at how many steps you get in at work.

Cookie - You would think laptops would be less money just like TVs are so much less now:confused: One one son loves to shop:rolleyes: & it was Woodbury.

Goodnight:)

Hi there!
Belinda, I know a lot of teachers in Toledo! Very nice folks there. The new rotation sounds good for traveling. Do your relatives also exercise regularly?
Amelia, do you think the length of time is related to his insurance? Hope it gets arranged quickly. Your darlings are already as tall as you?!! Where did the time go?
Kristin, where did the summer go? Hard to believe and accept that it's over. ME gets me good every time.
Deb, how's your energy level? Are you feeling more back to normal level yet?
Taking today as a rest day. Got home around 2 am this morning and then had to go do a conference today. Gonna cook dinner and relax. I'm whipped.
Cookie

Hi Ladies!
I am new to the fourms. I would love to be part of a daily check in. Do you have room for another person in this group?

A little about me- 28years old, live in California. I just discovered Cathe last year, believe it or not! I'm currently doing the 90day XTrain + Low Impact rotation.

Thank you!:)

Jessica

Hi,

Today I did Bodymax 2 upper body premix. I have DOMS from Great Glutes yesterday & almost 14,000 steps I walked today. I was thinking how much I miss yoga it really helped stretch everything. I also slipped at the foodstore & landed on my hands & knees (ouch!).

Jessica - You are welcome to join us:) You picked a great rotation to start with!

Cookie - You must be so tired but TG the weekend is almost here! Was this your 1st time in DC? I just remembered think you used to live nearby in VA. My energy level is back & I feel good just nervous to do yoga because of the stretching (maybe after Labor Day).

Waves hi to everyone!

Goodnight:)

Hey girls, quick check in then I will come back with personals later

2 mile power walk done this morning before work :) It was something I have been procrastinating for a long time because I had to wake up at 4:30 to get it in:confused:

Welcome Jessica! Great rotation:)

ok...bbl

Yesterday I did not get in a workout. I went back to school shopping with my neighbor and we were out all day. We went to the outlets, had lunch (fast food), and then went to the mall to boot. I literally was out shopping for 8 hours. I bought the boys their back to school clothes, and I got myself new clothes and shoes for work as well. Today's project will be to clean out the closets and organize them for the new school year.

Because of all the running around, I did not want to cook dinner, so we had pizza, and late, like 9 pm. My stomach is so upset today. I woke up at 2 in the morning and could not go back to sleep until 5:30 because my stomach was rumbling and I was so uncomfortable. This morning I had a protein shake. I just finished my workout. I did X10, the 54 minute premix. That one is a doozy. I would like to try for the 77 min premix one day, but not today, lol.

Jessica- welcome to the group. I've never done that rotation, but both series are my favorites. What workout are you doing today?

Amelia- good job getting the walk in before work. I am contemplating doing my workouts in the morning when I go back to work, but that would mean I have to be up at 5 and ready to go. Not sure if I could pull that off.

Deb- the upper body work in BM2 is one of my favorites. Good job getting it done. I bet that slip hurt, but luckily no real damage, right? I bet that was embarrassing though. It happened to me once and I turned red instantly.

Cookie- it is really hard to try to get it in my head that work starts up again next week. I'm afraid to find out my test scores. Ugh! Depressing way to start the year.

Belinda- is the lack of strong Internet due to the fact that you are out in open space? I would love to go out west one day and see the beautiful lands and open space and the stars clearly shining at night. Maybe one day. . .

Okay, I better get started on these closets.

Kristin

Hello Ladies!

Debbie, Amelia and Kristin- Thank you so much for the warm welcome!
Last night I got through half of Afterburn. My stomach was killing me because I had just eaten frozen yogurt. Whoops. Tonight is All Out Low Impact HIIT. I love this one, so really looking forward to it. :)

Debbie- Wow, that's a lot of steps! Good for you! Do you track on a FitBit? Sorry to hear about the slip, ouch!

Amelia- I admire you for walking up that early. If I worked out in the am, I would also have to be up by 4:30! How was the rest of your day? Did you have more energy?

Krisitn- That's awesome all your back to school shopping is done. I cannot believe the summer is over! It went by WAY too fast. I hear you on the take out, it always kills my stomach too. :/ Great work with the X10!

Happy Friday everyone! :p
