If all goes well I am going to try a zumba class tonight. Any tips? Do's and don'ts? I'm a little nervous as I am more of homebody type of gal.

Sorry, I don't have any advice. I just wondered if you would post how you liked the class. My neighbor teaches zumba and has invited me to a class, but I'm much more comfortable by myself in my basement. I'm interested to read the replies to your thread.

Good luck--I hope you like it.

Well I didn't get a first time yet. I rushed all the way from work a 60 minute commute picked up pizza for the family, changed clothes and rushed to class. The rec center was darked. Check my iphone to make sure I had the right time and day. Even called the instructor. She called me back and told me she isn't doing it there any longer. She was very nice and apolgetic. Gave me her schedule of other classes.

Long story short I will have to try a different class at a different time. Once I do I will post how it went. I'm also thinking of venturing out and trying a yoga class also. :)

I keep putting off starting this as I'm already committed with workouts 4-5 days per week + dance classes 2-3 evenings.

I've trawled the internet and written up a list of all the local classes (there are loads) with days, times and different instructor. Obviously some are out as they clash with work or other classes but I want to try a selection to see which instructor clicks best.

I've now agreed to go with a friend to give me the impetus to get out of the door now the evenings are cold(er) and dark(er) and we're meeting to go together on Monday night. If its great and I love it it'll motivate me to try a selection of the more local ones.

Jenn, check back and update on your thoughts.

Cheers
Kim
