Who named a stability ball?? Huh?! It is anything but stable!!!LOL:7 I just did Kick,Punch and Crunch using a stability ball (for the first time),a nice person here sent me, wellllll let's just say I had more trouble staying on the ball than anything else.:+ :( I am not sure what type of workout my abs got if any at all. And the transfer thing with the ball and feet, I dropped it a time or 2 and had to sit up to retrieve the ball,LOL!!:D My middle son was laughing at me when I tried(attempted poorly) the plank moves......NOT!! They just didn't happen but my son got a good laugh! I am not sure if it needs to be firmer, because it was flattening out pretty good. I may have my dh put more air in it. Not to mention that after a hard workout I was sticking to the stability ball due to sweat. UGH!! I kept having to peel my back off the ball. Please tell me that it will get better and I will learn how to stabilize my stability ball??!!:p

Thanks for listening!:D

Annette! You are too funny!

Yes, it gets better.

I think you need to inflate your stability ball more. I could not do a plank on my first s. ball because it was too soft.

Now I have a Thera band professional ball and I can actually do those pikes! Wow! What a difference!

Stick to it, and little by little you will conquer the stability ball.

By the way, I love using mine. It gives you an awesome workout!

It IS kind of like "rush hour" on the interstate, when there is absolutely no vehicle movement whatsoever, isn't it?

LOL I can't do that well on the ball either and look so funny trying, even my kids laugh at me and tell me they can do it better then me LOL so maybe someday I will tackle that wiggly ball! :)

It will definitely get easier. I make sure to incorporate KPC ab work at least once to twice per week. It is a great workout. I still can't get into a full pike, but I will some day. Don't give up.

I got a stability ball for Christmas and after my husband blew it up, the first thing I attemted was a pike. Cathe and crew made it look so easy after all--I just thought I would perform one with style and grace. HA! I kept falling off, too, and laughing and of course that made it worse. Obviously it is going to take some serious practice:p.

Annette,

Keep practicing, you will get better - remember practice makes perfect, so they say.

I started the stability ball a little over a year ago - I could not do a pike either - my 16 year old daughter did it no problem - I said I wil master this if its the last thing I do - lo and behold - within a week I did have it mastered - within a month I could do 40 pikes in a row!

I can do pikes now and even hold the pose - it just takes determination - but I still work up a sweat and am panting when I am done - but I love the pikes.

I think people try too hard and one must pull up lightly with the core, the ball does not move that much at all - I know you can do it.

Can you do it? Yes, you can!
