I aLso live in upstate NY Woodstock actually. I know that you can get Fage practically anywhere here but I am curious--where is the factory located? I never realized it was around here somewhere.
I bet within 6 months to a year, all the other yogurt companies will jump on the Greek yogurt bandwagon, and the price will go down. Half the time I go to the store, the Fage is sold out. Dannon and all the others will realize that not everyone wants fat-free high sugar yogurt.
As a kid, I loved yogurt. That's because it was real, made with whole milk Of course, with the Fage, whole milk tastes like cream (yum!) and I'm totally satisfied witht the 2%. I'd do the 0%, but I can tell the difference, and it's only 50 calories more.
Well, I tried some Oikos Greek-style yogurt and wasn't just overly impressed. Sure, it's good, but I didn't think it was that dramatically different from my regular yogurt. A little thicker, but that's about it. Not worth the price!!
After reading all the posts singing the praises of 0% and 2% Fage I decided to give it a try and...I HATE it . Well, I mean, it's okay once you douse it with a good bit of sweetener and stuff, but out of the box -- ;( . But the full fat stuff is YUM-O :9
LOL! I wasn't wild about it at first...then I discovered that a teaspoon of honey and some kashi cereal turned it into a cup o' bomb diggity :9 :9 :9 :9
