You can have your Sex in the City...

Oh cool, I know so many people looking forward to the "X" movie!:) I never got into it, but heard it is awesome! Plus, David D. is one hot man huh?:*

>Would anyone believe I've never seen Sex/city OR Xfiles???

I guess that would make me the other one on the planet who had never seen either of them.

>OMG, I was an X-Files fanatic! This is so awesome!!

My husband and I have every season of X-files on disc, and we've watched them all multiple times. We are huge X-files fans. When we lived in LA, my friend's husband was a writer for X-files, so we got to go hang out on the set and watch a filming. Very cool. My husband got to play golf with D.D., too. Lucky bastard. I am all over the movie.

I'm with you. I stopped watching "Sex and the City" years ago, and might catch the movie when it comes out on DVD, but I'm in no hurry.

Now, the "X-Files" movie, that's another thing entirely.

WHAT play golf with David!!!! I love that guy. I love that show, and can't wait for the movie! Do you think that Scully and Mulder get it on this time???

As much as I liked The X files, I'm SO excited about the SATC movie. I'm currently running through all of the episodes. I'm just finishing up season 4 and ready for season 5. Watching them again makes me realize how much I miss that show. Can't wait for the movie!!!

Carolyn

PS: I suppose I'll drag myself to the X files (although I'm more excited to see the Narnia movie).

RE: Sorry

Count another one who has NEVER watched Sex and the City. No time. Not mcu of a tv watcher, fittv & Food network. Better things to do with my time.

For those who do watch I hope you all enjoy the movie.

RE: Sorry

Another person who doesn't get the SITC hysteria.

I also don't get American Idol - or, as I call it - "The Great American Karaoke Show".

Never watched "Lost" either. Or "Grey's Anatomy" or "Desperate Housewives".

I hope I don't give the impression that I live under a rock - heehee! I do enjoy my share of junk TV though - Monk, Psych, House, Clean House, Pushing Daisies, and Aliens in America (before it was cancelled). :)

I'm totally jazzed about the X-Files movie!! My best friend and I were pathetically geeky X-Files fanatics when it was on...now we're pathetically geeky Lost fanatics. :)

RE: Sorry

Being a gal that was newly divorced in her early 30's while SATC was originally on I can say that I am totally excited for the movie - we are having a SATC Saturday with a bunch of girls - matinee then drinks and games at a gf's house later.

I cant tell you how much I could relate to being single and 30 with those gals - the show was very poinenant, funny, and touching. It is not just fashion, drinking and sex for sure. Even the whole "He's not that into you" is from SATC and really helped deal with the realities of dating... :)

Give it a chance!! :)

And yea - I am intrigued by X too.... :)

Sorry to hijack your xfile thread, but has anyone read the reviews of SATC? Talk about mixed!! I'm noticing that most of the reviewers who like it are women. The NY Times absolutely PANNED it. Interesting.

I've never watched S/C, Seinfeld, Friends, or Everybody Loves Raymond! How out of touch am I! I want to watch House, but I'd have to watch old seasons' DVD's forever to get caught up!

I agree with the above poster-SATC is really about friendships, dating even cancer-I thought they dealt with that brilliantly, all with fabulous clothes, shoes and drinks thrown into the mix. :)

Nancy, DH read me the reviews yesterday, he thought it was so funny that there wasn't any men at the premier! Well, of course. He is taking me to the movie on Sunday...not too happy about it, I secretly think he is worried he might actually like it.;)
