Yet another video suggestion

I'm so happy to hear about the new tapes, and can hardly wait to have them! But....(isn't there always a but?), I was really hoping to see a new step tape, something along the intensity of Step & Intervals or All Step. They're short, intense, great for when time is at a premium. Any length from 30-60 minutes would be wonderful.
I feel kind of guilty asking for more when you're already doing so much to please us. Sign me......

LAST EDITED ON Aug-16-02 AT 11:33AM (Est)[p]Cathe - I am so excited about the new Intensity Series. It seems as though the main focus is on weight training (which is great!). Maybe the next series could focus on your famous kick-butt cardio (that would be great too!!)

Boy, am I greedy...already thinking about the next batch of tapes LOL!!

I was just thinking the same thing -- I love all the new workouts you've described, but was hoping for a Rhythmic Step 2. I just love having an all step to work in between weights days and IMAX is just too much impact or intensity for me. I prefer steady stepping throughout like Rhythmic Step. But how can I complain? I don't mind doing RS a few times a week in between the new ones. :) -- Renee

I agree with everyone here. I feel like there is just not enough creative cardio work for me to buy that also keeps the heart going, and while I love the Intensity series, boy, I wish you were planning on another 60 minute step (my absolute favorite), or a 15-15-15-15 (step, hi-lo, kickbox, yoga, or something like that)tape.

I too am searching for new 60-min cardio. I am currently happily using RS, Powermax, Cardio Kicks, Step Works, very rarely Step Fit (my slot is 60 minutes), IMax, and the CTX cardios.

Okay, tell me to run, bike, and in-line skate! I should really cross-train more... but at 5 a. m.?

But I do love that step kickbox that's in Power Circuit (I have only done it 2 or 3 times, because I don't consider it pure cardio)...

That step kickbox combo in Power Circuit is my very favorite kickboxing segment of all time too -- just love it! In fact I sub it on the floor for a very long Firm segment that I just have never liked (which is in many, not just one, Firm videos). Any guesses? It's the Step Ham segment that Tamela and Jen both do. Just have never liked it and this kick boxing segment is so fun to do that it's come to my rescue as a replacement :). -- Renee

I don't want to be a wet blanket, but I'm really disappointed that there isn't a steady state cardio video.

All of the strength videos sound great, but you can only do strength so many days a week. And, my knees just can't handle IMAX, so I'm afraid IMAX II will probably be a no-no too.

I would LOVE a workout that is about 30 minutes Rhythmic Step II and 30 minutes Cardio Kicks II.

Also, if you stick with the workouts, roughly, as described, could you put them on DVD so that the Splits and the Cardio/Weight are on one DVD and IMAX II, Power Hour II, and Boot Camp are on one DVD? That way, I can get the 3 I think I would like the best...and then maybe get the other 3 later on.

Thanks for asking for our input!

Laura

Laura -- I really like that 1/2 RS and 1/2 CK idea -- That would be a lot of fun. And I agree that you can only do so much weight work in a week. I have to intersperse cardio in between mine too. -- Renee

Hi Laura and Renee and perhaps others too, I just wanted to point out that the Intensity Series is NOT designed to be a 6 day weekly workout rotation. They are grouped together in this series based purely on their intensity. These workouts will provide 6 new ways to cross train, shock your metabolism, and add variety to your workouts. I encourage you to mix these 6 new workouts in with your other workouts for best results :).

Thanks for the info Cathe! I'm sure we all have plenty of your cardio workouts to keep us busy (and happy) in between the weight workouts. We're just always hungry for more, little workout devourers that we are :). I'm thrilled that you are producing so many new workouts so soon after your baby. -- Renee

Hi Terry! I just wanted to point out that "Imax 2" will have mini step routines plus "cardio and weights" will have 5/five minute step routines which will provide 25 minutes of total step minutes to this particular workout. I, too, very much love step aerobics and would never desert it. You can be sure that I will have an all new solid step workout in the next batch of videos that we do:).

That is SO reassuring. I am just pleased that there will be some step in the new videos. Thanks for listening, responding!

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply, Cathe. Are you sure there aren't two of you? Busy, busy! I know what I'm getting for Christmas this year! As for another pure step tape, I *guess* I can wait! :D
Terry

Thank you for pointing out the step parts of Imax2. Your Step Videos are the best. (I still haven't gotten brave enought to do Imax yet, but the next batch of videos I buy will include them)

Also I appreciate your explaining that the intensity videos will deliver the best results when mixed with other videos.

Take time to enjoy those who matter most to you & do all things in moderation :)

Cathe,
You really have a gift for communicating. Thank you so much for your positive response to our "pure step" request. Thanks also for pointing out how to use this next batch of workouts. I eagerly await them!

Meanwhile I'm still learning the ones I have.
