:D :D DH accepted a job offer in the Seattle area, and we are moving the first week in March! I am so excited, but sad to be leaving the UK at the same time.

Is it wrong that one of my first concerns is where I'll work out until we get a house and I have my own workout room (may not be until summer)? Priorities, eh?;-) I have found a local fitness club near where we will be staying w/ my in-laws until we get a house - they look pretty good and offer monthly memberships. So that might work out well, as I won't have all my home fitness equipment. Might be a good way to de-stress during the transitional period, too.

Only 6 more weeks - the countdown has begun!:7

Congratulations! If you're going to be in the Seattle area, you might want to check out this gym:

It's owned/directed by Kari Anderson. She's my second favorite instructor, after Cathe of course.

Just a suggestion. Good luck with your move.

Stephanie,

Congrats to you and your husband on his new job, and for moving back home. I once owned some Kari Anderson's videos, and she is good so her club might be worth checking out. From previous threads that I read of yours, you stated that you're ready to back in the USA. Time to celebrate and have a great move.

Thanks everyone! I'd LOVE to check out Kari Anderson's club, but I don't know if we'll be in Seattle proper, most likely on the outskirts of the metro area. No clue really where, yet - it really depends on what we find once we hit the ground, how much travelling DH has to do, etc. Might have to visit Kari's club for a one-off, though, just for fun.

Stephanie,

I am happy for you. WE lived in Puerto Rico for 3 years, ( DH is in the Navy). After the first year I was so ready to come back to the states, DD and I came back for 6 weeks, after that we were fine. When we came back there were so many new food items in the grocery store that we had not seen before!!! My DS was born in Puerto Rico 1 month before we moved back to the states. Also we lived at 3 naval bases in Washington state. We lived at NAS whidbey Island(Oak Harbor, Wa), Bremerton , and Everett. We left there 9 years ago. I am itching to go back, DH and I think it may be our calling to move back after his retirement!! It is beautiful there. Just give me a ferry ride!!!!!! Well, Welcome back to the good ole US of A !!!!!! :) :)

Congratulations from here in Washington state! I love it here :) Of course, it's the only place I've ever lived, so I have nothing to compare it with, but still! It's beautiful here.
