Quick post for me - gotta run a couple times, need to do back and tris, get showered and get Collin to swim class/fall festival at the wellness center. I think we are going to go ahead and join and see what happens - if we don't use it, we aren't locked in.

Today will be day THIRTEEN of clean eating for me - YAHOO!

(p.s. I am feeling ready to cheat.... shhhhhh!)

I was thinking of doing meso 2, one body part per day. the insanity w/o is mostly under 45mins right?

good morning guys. oh my boyd so loved being clean and tidy y-day! i was so slow and sluggish this am on my run. i had to pep it up by doing 6 blasts from imax 3 after. that felt great - hope it does not hurt my long run tomorrow.

katie, yeah on the gym! good morning, and have a good run. enjoy that fall festival. we are having summer still - it was 82 and 100% humidity during my run:(

robin, yeah for y-day eating. how do you post your goals under your name?

i met my goals y-day. todays are: no fighting with dh, tidy eats all day, clean my house!
 
That's easy Nina. Look for the blue bar (left side) where it says User CP, click on it. Then look down until you see Edit Signature, click on it. Write what you want in the box in the middle and then press save.

Whew! Legs are WORKED!

Mike took DDs to swim so I'm off the hook for that today! He figures he owes me since I took all 3 girls last week! :p J is snoozin' away, bless her little heart!:D

I've got some errands this afternoon to do and I think big DDs are going to my moms for dinner and we'll take J with us out to eat. Wish I could leave J w/ her too but w/ her MS I don't think she's really up to it. Oh well.... we'll have lots of Insanity dates starting up next week!:D

Hi Everyone!

This morning's workout was a 2 mile run (my fast time since my injury) followed by Max Interval Sports Conditioning. My body is fried. My allergies have kicked into high gear so I know I am not sleeping well at night, and I wake up tired. Hopefully, they will go away soon.

Robin, you can do Month 1 of Insanity but Month 2 would be a challenge. Every workout has pushups and I think your chest would be fried. The first month workouts are 40-45 minutes but Month 2 is an hour.
Kate, yeah on ordering Insanity!!! I ordered from the same person.
Nina, congrats on meeting your goals yesterday! Sorry the job won't work out but those are long hours.
Katie, enjoy the gym membership. I think you will use especially with the cooler weather coming.

Meals for today:

b: steel cut oatmeal w/ cinnamon, skim milk and almonds
l: banana, 2 slices of thin crust veggie pizza
s: chopped veggies & hummus, apple
d: I think I just overheard Chris on the phone with his parents and we are going out. I didn't hear where we are going but I will keep it clean.

Goal for the day - don't eat the fritos and oreos Chris bought at the grocery store last week. They have called my name everyday this week.
 
Hi ladies! Busy weekend here. Just wanted to drop in and say hello. Did my tri's and shoulders this am. Going to do Insanity later tonight! DS' football team won again 29-0. They have won all their scrimmages and games and no one has been able to score against them! Woohoo, ds is on defense too! Anyway, eats today are okay. Why is Saturdays so hard? Must be all the running around. I need to keep healthy snacks on hand. Hope you ladies are enjoying your weekend and keeping it mostly clean, lol!

BTW, stepped on the scale today for the first time in a looong time and it was down! Wow, that was nice to see. Now I have to just eat better so I can lower my fat in areas that are not so nice to look at like my belly. Blech. Okay, off to pick up dinner. Pizza....not very clean, but I have a salad, and it was ds' pick since he did so well at football.

Well yday I was flea fogging-max. the foggers are easy to do. But washing a cat in a bathtube for 5 mins:eek::eek::eek::eek: WTH!!!!!!!!
I'm not sure if i did a good enough job. If not it will cost about $300 for professionals to fog the place and grommers to wash each animal. :( For now I'll just keep on spraying the house flea killer aroound the windows, doors. I read that fleas can't stand garlic and pine sol, so I'm going to use that too.

My w/o today will be sts bi, shoulders,chest.
Clean eats yday, in fact I did not eat enough.

Lisa, Honeycrisp is a variety of apple that is so.good. Best apple ever.
Arnold Thins are a bread product. I think Klaudia has seen Aunt Millie's make them too. It's a super thin "bun" would be my only way to describe it.
Good job adding the salad to the pizza. Weekends are harder somehow.

Colleen, How are your weekend goals coming? I loooove Fritos but don't buy htem - Mike doesn't eat them so I'd devour the whole bag alone.:eek:

Gina's sick. Boo. Hope she recovers before school tomorrow and that she doesn't share it!
She came into our room late last ngiht for some comforting. We were um....in bed but not sleeping. I just about DIED! We got her back to bed and we were laughing so hard!
We had a ton of plans today which I willhave to cancel now.....bummer. One of us will go to church and one of us stay back w/ Gina.

My mom is doing ok right now, thanks for asking. I think this is as good as she'll ever be, which I think she's having a hard time accepting.

LOL, Kate, Chris and I got "interrupted" by Collin fairly recently. He walked into our room and said, very matter-of-factly, "Bishy, can you please get off of my mom!" LMBO!!!!

I am getting ready to head out for my long run -- looking for 9 miles this morning. I was feeling icky yesterday but I feel pretty good right now. I know I can do this, I know I can do this......

I have reached a point in my HM training where the honeymoon is over. It's not fun anymore (at least most of the time). I mean, I do enjoy running, but I am not excited about it like I used to be. That fact, combined with the nagging few pounds that my body is holding on to and my skin breaking out... It's a good thing I am not a quitter - I refuse to quit - because right now I am not having very much fun!

I am taking an energy gel out on my run this morning - never used one before, so we'll see how it goes. I'll report back in a bit.
 
happy sunday ladies! sorry, weekends are harder for me to get on the comp, always feel so busy and its fam time. yesterday was the "fair on the square", had a great time! bathroom is still unusable. i didnt mention its our only one did I! yup, have to use the neighbors or public.but by tonight we should at least have a toilet ready. floor is going in today.

yesterday was not great...
b - cott ch, peach, pecans, coffee
l - hamburger on wheat with lett, tom, pickles, ketch, mustard. craving hamburgers all week! and this was nice and easy, no dishes
d - ended up out w/my mom, had a shrimp stirfry with mango, tom, carrots and gr bns on brown rice. i always find myself thinking how i would cook it differently at home lol! im sure their sauce was not very clean.
today so far coffee and cream of wheat w/a little maple syrup.

y'day was sposed to be rest, i walked approx 4 miles and did a 6o min michelle lemay stretch tape before bed.

lol kate!!! ods interrupted us on more than one occasion back in the day. once he climbed right up into bed and clearly had no idea what was happening... that was awkward! i hope gina feels better soon and sorry you cant all get out to church together.

katie, you can do it! 9 miles, yahoo!! i WALKED about 4 y'day and was exhausted =) what is an energy gel exactly?

lisa, congrats in the progress, so motivating isnt it? glad ds is doing well with football.

colleen, how did you injure yourself/howlong were you not running? eats sound great! what you end up doing out for dinner? i did end up making ench the other day. fave of ods and dh... they will eat them for brkfast if im not around!!

nina, what are your goals for today?
 
good morning. we just got back from church - made it thru 35 min! this church we tried was too formal for me. all the men wore suits! anyways, we are trying. i had a great run this am - 20 miles! i am ready to taper soon, though, back of the mileage and add in insanity. i got it off e bay last night:eek: i should not be spending money, but i did. i did my long run in under 3 hrs, which i thought was reasonable given that it was 82 degrees and humid. plan to do pub later, hopefully, and i have to make playdough for finn's class. also need to sort out dinner. as for my goals, i'd like to keep my cals under 1800 today (not sure if tat will happen), and no dried fruit (which is like mainlining sugar for me). also, just have fun with the family.

katie, good luck with your run. i am sorry you are not enjoying it as much. what will you do after?

kate, hope gina is better and you all stay well.

robin, so sorry about the fleas. life cycle is 3 months, so keep up the defleaing for a while.

wendy, your meals don't sound too bad from y-day.

Hi Everyone!

We ended up at a seafood restaurant for dinner. I did pretty good but I did have a roll because their rolls are so good. Then as we were driving home last night in the rain, someone ran a red light and I almost them. The light for me was green the whole time I was approaching the intersection. And the car was just coasting through the intersection. I wasn't sure if I was going to hit them or not until I stopped. It was really scary and I was still shaking when we got home 5 minutes later.

Kate, sorry about the interruption last night. I hope Gina feels better.
Robin, sorry about the flea situation. I hope the DIY stuff works for you.
Lisa, I try to cut my veggies up after I buy them at the grocery store so I can just grab and go.
Nina, yeah on insanity! Have fun with your family today.
Wendy, I injured my knee by doing too much too fast. I did not run for about 4 months mainly due to issues getting doctor's appt and the first PT place did not help me.
Katie, you can do it!!!! I am kind of afraid to train for a race for the same reason. I might join the runners club if I decide to train so that I can have support.
Klaudia, sorry about MSU - but at least your school has a basketball team that does well. PSU sucks at bb.

Goal for today - avoid the oreos and fritos again. I was successful yesterday and I just need to keep it going.
