HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

Today looks like-
*Bike Ride (steady state)
*Mix it Up Upper (slim series)
*Yoga

The old bod is really sore from this weeks workouts- I plan on Sunday as a full rest day so I keep holding that imagine or I risk taking a day off NOW! I think its all a good sign tho of changing things up BIG TIME this week…. I am actually looking forward to seeing what the next 4 weeks can do for my body.

I shall return with personals in a bit- I wanna go ABSORB all the blog updates….

Happy day to anyone I miss this morning!

Hi all,

The boot camp pictures look like Cathe has come up with some inventive new moves! It inspired me and I think I might do DM today. Today is kind of a freebie for me, because I've planned what I want to get done before I leave and today is just kind of open. I light full body workout might be just perfect!

I had a really strong run yesterday considering all of the leg work I did the day before. The yoga was really good, I just love Shiva, and I'm getting so flexible. My head is about 10" above the floor when I sit in a straddle and lean forward. That is a huge improvement, considering when I hurt my back I couldn't even sit up straight in a straddle.

I'll catch up on yesterday's posts and be back later. I am finally off. It feels so good.

Tracy

Good morning,

I want to wish TraciX much better luck with her bike ride this morning, than her last attempt!!! I hope you see bunnies, not Jesus, and have a smooth ride.

TracyX - DM as-produced is so much fun. Enjoy! Yay! You're on vacation!!!!

I'm headed down to the basement to do Cardio Fusion. I'll be doing those drills along with you, TracyX. Jump! Jump! Jump! I'm dreading the BM2 3rd power circuit. I just can't stand those power-turn-squats. I don't have a "blast" with those.

BBL to report how well I survived. I hope everyone has a great workout today.

SandraX

Good Morning! I just had a bad scare...I woke up and it was 6:55, but from the looks outside, you couldn't tell if it was am or pm and I was freaking out thinking that I was going to be late for work when I realized that it was am! DUH!!! Anyway, I thought that I'd check in here to let my HR go down before crawling back into bed...DH thinks that I'm the consumate idiot!

Sandra- About your question yesterday...I make less than $45/hr. Most of the U.S. averages about $40/hr depending on location, experience, and specialty. I actually think that I deserve around $45/hr, but only make about $30/hr (and that's only because I work strictly weekends, if I worked during the week, it'd be less)

Tracy- I am glad that the yoga is helping! Good luck with DM today!

Traci- I hope that you decide what you need in a workout. I know that it can be difficult when you are already DOMmy!

Everyone else- Have a good day! I'll check in later!

Happy Friday the 13th:) :)

Today, is my free ½ day Yippee:) I have too make this quick leaving today at noon, lots to do. Any who, I could not sleep last night AGAIN x( this is the third day in a row, dog gone menopause thingy. I have insomnia bad, I felt asleep around 12am if not later. When I did, I tossed and turned trying to find a comfortable position, its crazy. And I woke up 4:22am just in time for divorce court, been up ever since. I brought Soy Protein maybe this will help with *ALL* my problems.

Workout today is going to be upper body either P90X or MIS and kickboxing I haven’t done Kick Max in a long time, that one sounds pretty good. Back later.

Anointed~

Happy Friday!

Just finished my oatmeal and Jari Love's GR 1000. Off to watch the tour for about 40 minutes before getting ready for work. BBL,

Jeanette

Morning Ladies,

Rotation: Cathe's July 07
Workout: Wk1/Day 5/B&G Floorwork and Abs Premix

Ok this Cathe Rotation is evil to my poor legs. :D :D P90X didn't work my legs as much as Cathe likes too. But the legs actually feel like they are making some changes after only a week of workouts. :) Maybe it is just me and wishful thinking.

Sandra, So this dog adoption will be called Laurian (DH is a Brian)! Yep we are getting a dog, but thankfully she is 8 years old. She was called an Insta Dog in her description. Everyone of us felt that we didn't need to go through the puppy stage. My BIL and SIL have a puppy and he has destroyed their kitchen. Sad part is their house is only about two years old. x( I think the following Cardio Coaches are good 45 min Interval Runs. CC#5, CC#4, and CC#3 (if you repeat cycle #2). I really like CC#5 the best of all of them. I haven't tried either of the #6 workouts, so I may change my mind. So far I haven't found a CC that I don't like.

Nicole, If you do the July rotation I think you will like it. I think it is a good way to get back into the endurance of Cathe in a shorter workout. :) And using the premixes, as she does, is a lot of fun. So sorry to hear about the AC, that is something that I couldn't live without.

Cheryl, We have a double septic tank, but the house is only about 10 years old. But I had to look down those holes only once. Just can't imagine those things taking a dive one of these days. x(

Tracy, Glad your DMV visit finally got the results you needed. Last time I was their it was an easy time. I suppose the next time will be a trial. :)

Wendy, Had to LOL at your description of MIC. I am not a Hi/Lo fan at all, and that workout is one I have a huge dread factor for. Dang about the foot. OUCH! How is it feeling today?

Jeanette, Kimberly has some really good kickboxing workouts. She just came out with one called Absolute Kickboxing that has turned into my favorite workout. One section of it she uses a bodybar for Combat Drills. It has a huge fun factor for me.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi all,

Annointed - Sorry about the sleep, have you tried flax oil? It works miracles for my night sweats, maybe it would help with sleep.

Amy - Sorry about the confusion between day and night. Sometimes I wake up and wonder if it is a workday, usually to my dismay it is. I'm not sure that nurses here make much more than you do. What workout oare you doing today?

Wendy - I hate MIC. I do it only because it's a good workout. That hi/lo is so dated! And the step is sooo repetitive.

Laurie - You are making me want to get some CCs. I've been tempted, but then didn't want to hassle with the downloads etc. An Insta dog is perfect! The puppy stage is usually difficult. I always have more than one dog, so the puppy stage pretty much goes unnoticed here, but with one dog it can be ugly. I love working legs, I think the x is lacking in that area, but if if ws comprehensive in upper and lower it might be out of reach for too many people.

Jeanette - I think of you every time I think of oatmeal. I almost had some for dinner the other night then opted against that because of the darn bloating that it causes.

Later,

Tracy

Hi, everyone! Friday at last!

I took a semi rest day. - just 7 min. abs from Power Hour and 23 min of step from Step Max (the Classics DVD).

Traci, love your "mixed up" workouts this week!

Teddygirl, sorry you're having trouble sleeping. That's the worst x(

Amy, I'm laughing (sort of) at your clock disaster. Glad you weren't late to work. Now you can relax.

Tracy, yes, enjoy your bike ride!

Laurie, love those leg increases! I'm kind of discovering the same thing - I'm loving the better leg strength and tone Cathe is gradually giving me.

Well, on to work. Glad it's Friday. A light day - just 2-3 client meetings and a lunch party for one of our guys :7 :7 :7

Cheryl

Good Morning Ladies,

I apologize for not coming back and finishing personals. Phil and I were talking after MIL's phone call. Phil is handling news about FIL well. We're planning on leaving this evening to visit them for the weekend. The cancer is affecting him more physically than mentally right now. However, FIL may only have a week or two before he's mentally not here. They also think he only has two to four weeks left.

My foot didn't stop throbbing until I took some advil around 11:00. It's a little better this morning. I can put some of my weight on it. I still have to hobble around like a little old woman. I don't think I broke anything. It just hurts with a goose sized egg on the top of my foot.

I plan on taking eldest ds grocery shopping. I'll give him my list while I sit on the bench near the cash registers and wait to pay. I want to cook dinner and stock up MIL's fridge while we're there. I'll have dd help cook. It'll make me feel like Sandra! :)

Looks like today's workout is trying to move without causing more throbbing. I may do some floor work if I can find a decent one on the dvds that I already own.

Gotta open another window for personals.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy-X :)

Cardio Fusion is done! What a fun workout. Yes, it's challenging, but I feel so accomplished afterwards. And the DM drills are so much fun.

TraciX - You haven't mentioned - are you going to the Bay house this weekend? LOL about getting into the dogs' pool yesterday!! Wasn't there room enough for all of you? I remember you saying how much you love CK. I can't for the life of me figure out why. The music is okay at best, and the cardio portion is fairly high impact (I can't stand the travelling knee lifts and high kicks at the very end, although I suffer through them). I don't find the dudes particularly attractive, although that's just personal taste, isn't it? I know many people love having the guys in the videos. Oh, I should state outright that kickboxing in general is not one of my favourite cardios. I do it only for the crosstraining effects, and because the kicks are great for the hips and core. I'm really not enthused at all about Cathe's forthcoming boxing series (although as with DM and BG I may be pleasantly surprised and come to loooove them).

TracyX - I love DM as produced. Fun, fun, fun. Funny - of the new workouts, I was thinking I would like BG and DM the least, but they've turned out to be my favs. Now the New Bootcamp workout doesn't look overly appealing to me, but I imagine I'll end up loving it. I haven't done the Mandala Namaskar II on the FP dvd yet. I might try that today. MN I is awesome, especially for a quick and efficient session that hits all the right spots.

WendyX - OUUUUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel your pain!!! You poor dear. How's the foot today?? Get some arnica cream on it; it works wonders for bruises. About MIC: you managed to pick Cathe's most stressful workout. The tempo in the hi/lo portion is quick, quick, quick, and once she starts jumping around, she just doesn't quit until the very end. I personally dislike the travelling knee lifts she does in the middle of the routine. The good news is, once you are able to do this entire routine, you'll feel like a million bucks. You did amazing for your first time out with it. That line in Finn's PY4H always makes me smile, too! I just love his attitude about yoga. At one point he talks about "floundering back" into the push up pose, and that makes me chuckle, too. I don't feel so pressured to be perfect.

JeanetteX - I missed the whole stage of the Tour yesterday. Life is just too busy to spend even a few minutes in front of the tv. *Sigh*. DH is taping it every morning, and watching it in the evenings, after I go to bed. I'll ask him about Vino's strawberry.

Anointed - Have a great weekend!! Menopausal insomnia sounds terrible. I have a feeling I'll get it bad, as I already have 2 bad nights every month: when I ovulate, and when I get my period. Not fun.

Amy - the $45 I mentioned yesterday was just the "average", so obviously there are people who make less....and more. Wanna come here and work? Our economy is boooooooooooooming, and nurses are in high demand.

Nicole - No way would my children be allowed on motorcycles at that age. I lost one uncle in a mc accident, and another uncle & cousin have permanent brain injuries from another accident.

Cheryl - OMG the septic tank conversion sounds utterly dreadful. Did you all have to wear gas masks for a few days?? Congratulations on the award!!!!!!!!!!! One of the ways that I truly enjoy CK is to circuit segments of it with segments of Leaner Legs. I made an 80 minute workout doing that, and it's a lower body bonanza.

LaurieXX - I have no idea what you're talking about when you mention calling the adoption a Laurian, and DH is a Brian. Am I too Canadian to understand what you mean? I love it that you're adopting an older dog. So far I've done CC #3, 4, 3, & 2 (in that order). I've loved every one of them. I look forward to trying #5 in a couple of weeks. DH has enjoyed his two tries with #1 and #2, inserted into his weekend long bike rides.

I've got to go get some bread started so it's finished by time I have to leave for the cake decorating course tonight. While the bread's rising I have to make the icing for the cake that I'll be decorating tonight. I wonder who's going to take care of the children while I do all this? Oh well. Not my problem. Oh wait...yes it is.

Have a great day,
SandraX

Oh Wendy, I'm so sorry about your FIL. I'm sure the next couple of months will be a very difficult time for your family. You're extremely thoughtful in doing the shopping and cooking for your MIL. Sometimes those things mean more than the prettiest bouquet of flowers.

Butts & Guts has awesome floorwork, and I don't think any of it requires the top of your foot.

Sandra

Thanks, I send the picture home. I pray it gets there, leaving in 20 minutes so I do my best to set up account. My co worker just brought a digital camera $300 bucks its sharp too. And I was the g-pig }( Not a good picture but want you guys to see me. ttys.

Phase 3/ Week 12/ Day 5/ Round 1

L&B+ARX

Laurie, Congrats on th new dog! I agree, the puppy stage is a nightmare. I am glad you are enjoying and noticing changes with the July rotation. Only one more week:)

WendyX, Tell Phil I'll keep his parents in my prayers. I pray it is as painless as possible. So sorry to hear about your foot too:( I do hope you can get something in today. If not ther's always tomorrow.

SandraX, I love CF. It is a lot of fun but you just have to jump right in and GO! My DH should know what can happen on a motorcycle because it has all happened to him. Air-lifted to the hospital, torn rotator cuff, crushed wrist, concussion, broken collarbone. The funny thing is he didn't even start riding until highschool. I think he may have amnesia as well:) I know in a few years the arthritis will remind him of every injury. Yummy, bread and cake. I'd be two ton Tess picking at all of that. I LOVE baking and I have to watch everyone else enjoy it:(

Anointed, Yeah, pictures, pictures, pictures!!!! So glad you're joining the digital age:) I do hope you get some sleep. I have been having trouble sleeping too and it's the pits! Enjoy your free 1/2 day:D

Traci-X, DOMS are great! So glad you're feeling big changes. I am still on the fence about the SS but you're selling me more and more each day:)

Jeanette, Wow, what an adventure you had on your bike ride! I'm the type that likes to point out other people's wrong doings. I'd have been all over that guy! You probably worked up quite a sweat though,LOL:D The weather has been beautiful this week but I know the heat will be back. High pressure has blocked the humidity from us, so that's good.

Cheryl, Sounds like a nice relaxed day at work and a fun, quick workout. That's how Fridays should be:p

Amy, You are just having too much fun with your schedule as of late:) Enjoy your weekend at work. How is you re-cert going?

TracyX, Glad to see you're making flexibility gains! That is so important for your back. Glad you got out and had a good run too. All of this talk about running is making me want to start:)

Debra, Hope you're having fun in NYC!

Off to do the LAST L&B & ARX:D

Jeanette-X! So glad you're back!!! Your ds' gf's parents sound really cool! Usually, I feel blessed to live here due to the area's rich history. When it comes to gold mining, we don't come close to y'all!!! LOL about your dh catching the gold rush bug!!! Dh once tried talking me into buying a metal detector. Since he never spends his change, I quietly and paitently waited till it passed. }( How exciting that the tiling is going to start today!!!!:) Phil has to fix a couple of areas of grout. There's a few dog pawnail holes that need to be filled.:7 Poor Baby wanted attention from Phil while we were away. Drove dh nuts!!! I thought of you once I stopped cursing. I iced it down for a good hour. I couldn't fall asleep feeling all the dried sweat on my body. So, I took a bath with my foot elevated above the hot water. Pisses me off that it happened. I was looking forward to increasing my cardio for the RT. Glad to hear your toe is getting better so soon! Hopefully, it will be fully healed by next week! I'm amazed you were able to do all you did after the toe incident. I'm using dd's child sized chair as a walker.:7 Oh MY! Being chased by a large dog! That must have been scary!!! I get so angry when people let their dogs run loose!!! Baby is good outside in our non-fenced yard without a leash. The only time she runs to the road is when she sees one of the kids from the neighborhood she knows. She barks at them until they pet her. I keep telling the kids to stop rewarding her bad behavior! ;-)

Cheryl: Oooo, I know which girl on MIC you are referring to. Did you notice how hard she's breathing. Her mouth forms a little o, while Cedie is smiling like it's a walk in the park!!! AMAZING! How was your award luncheon yesterday? Congrats on the award! You and your employees should be very proud!!!:) :) :)

Teddygirl: I was so angry about my foot incident. I was planning on going down to the goodwill to find an old man's cap. I was going to prove to you that those knickers made me look like Oliver Twist!!!}( And since we're betting, I'd make you pay up with one of workout dvds from your voluminous collection!!!:p }( ;-)

Amy: Your sleep schedule makes mine look steady by comparision! LOL on thinking it's PM when you woke up this AM. Phil has done that too!!! He once got dressed and didn't realize his mistake until he was at the store getting coffee!!!!:7 Both of you work too hard!

Nicole: Gosh, I don't know what to say. I feel for you!!! Part of me wants you to put your foot down and tell dh to grow up or you're outta there! When he goes on to say that since he makes the money, he should spend it any way he wants. You can throw it back into his face. Remind him that he doesn't own anything. Everything belongs to God. Tell him that while the Bible says that the wife should be submissive and respect the husband, it also commands that the husband should love his wife to the point of death. And, he's not dying to his selfish self!!!! (I'm sooo bad! Please don't take my advice as I usually run on emotion when angered! I have to control myself from preaching to dh when we have a conflict!!!) It's difficult allowing the dh be the leader of the family when they are leading the family to financial ruin! {{{Nicole}}} I'll be praying that the Lord gives you and dh wisdom and strength. Thank you for taking the time to pray for FIL. That was his one fear: to be in a lot of pain. It's been one of God's blessings that he's been painfree since his diagnoses in Feb.

Tracy-X: Yay! You outlasted the DMV!:7 It's so nice to hear the positive changes in your body from when I first joined the check-in. Have a great time with Drill Max. I'll live vicariously through you today! ;-) Have a great day free from work!!!

Sandra-X: You are so kind. Thanks for giving me permission to slack off this summer. I think we worked so hard last summer that by Christmas we were burned out!!! I promised myself that we would relax and enjoy this summer without any school pressures. I do think I'll have dd do Latin over the summer a couple of hours each week. See! I can't help myself!!! Is it just me or is the bicep work a bit too much on ME? I didn't use the barbell for the bicep work and opted for dumbbells. Isn't Cathe the same height as me? I think she uses 6 risers. Then again, I'm NOT Cathe!:7 It's Friday! Doesn't today call for cake decorating? I see CF is on tap for you. Yet another dvd that I own and haven't tried. Now, you see why I buy w/o clothes instead of w/os? I still need to do the ones I OWN! Wow! That makes me feel so much better! MIC is crazy jumpy!!! The first time Phil saw me previewing MIC, he said, "Cathe is bouncy in this one!" LOL I feel as though the gravity pull is that of Jupiter during it!!! Maybe on day it'll feel like that of our moon! A girl can always hope!:) I've never heard of arnica cream. What does the tube look like? I'll search it down if it can help me get back to speed again.

Laurie-XX: I love writing your name with double Xs. It makes me feel dirty bad, in a good way! }( I hear you about Cathe's endurance vs the X. It's a good way to completely confuse my body!!! I haven't tried B&G yet. I did preview it while on the X. It looks tough!!! I don't think I'll go as heavy as Cathe when I finally try it. Some of the weighted leg work looks like overkill to me. I might change my mind once I've done it a couple of times. I don't think you're hallucinating! I've heard reports that Cathe gets the legs and glutes in great shape! Just look at her crew! Their bodies looks better now than they did years ago!!! I so agree about adopting a puppy. I'm too old for that! I'd rather birth 6 kids at once than house train a puppy!!!;-) Are you changing her name to Laurian? We thought of changing Baby's name. But, she responds so well to it already. Dd's art teacher told us to keep her name while adding a new one until she got used to the new one. So, instead of calling her, oh say, Lady, we'd call her LadyBaby and eventually drop the Baby.

Traci-X: Cathe's blog pictures are making me really consider preordering. I'm more excited about her drills than anything else I've seen on her blog so far. Oh! Hoping for bunnies and birdies instead of rats and bugs on today's ride!:)

Teddygirl!!!!!! You are soooo PRETTY!!!!!!!! You look soooo much like my best friend from high school. (Remind me to call her today and give her a hard time for not calling me back last night!!!) Anyhow, you do NOT look like a grandmother!!!!!!!!!! What did you have children while you were in utero????:7 Thanks so much for sharing your picture!!!

Well, I'm off to make a grocery list.
Hi to ALL who follows!!!

Static Hugs to ALL (I don't want anyone to ballistically bump my foot.) ;-)

Wendy-X :)

I LOOOOOVE your pic but REALLY.....Standing next to Tax Settlements isnt very attractive!!!!!!}( }( }(
You are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! Once again I GASP looking at you and wondering how in the world you can possibly be older than I am??????? Thanks for sharing TG!!!!! I JUST LOVE seeing the real you! BEAUTIFUL!
