Morning Ladies,
Rotation: Cathe's July '07
Workout: Week 2/Day 2/GS Legs Timesaver #2
Hope I can bring a smile to everyone today with the events of last nights "Laurie Tried to Give Herself a Home Face Makeover". I finished the LIC workout yesterday after work, and thought why not tack on an Ab workout. B&G Stability Ball Abs sounds pretty good. Pick up the ball and smack myself right in the face so hard that my glasses flew off my face. OUCH! Only the first one of the night!
So all that is done, and I head off to play our double header volleyball games. First team we play we lost. Oh well! Still have the next team to play. We are playing the second of three games, and Brian hits the ball sort of funny my way. I dive in the sand to get the ball. Yay! I hit it in the air. My brother goes for the ball (which is really close to me as I'm still on the ground!) He hits it (but not over the net), and also sends up a large spray of sand. Somehow this sand gets all over me, in my eyes and ear! I have never had sand in my ear before, it is like having water in your ear. Had to wait to blink the sand out of my eye, and then stick my finger in my ear to get the sand out. Oh wait we still are not done yet! I'm following a ball down the net (you never know if they will be just dinking the ball), and the girl bumps the ball. The ball goes under the net, and hits me smack dab in the nose! OUCH! Big time. I was on my knees trying not to cry! Ok now I'm done! Did anyone smile!
My poor nose is really sore today.
At least we beat the last team we played.
Traci, I glanced a little at the link you sent. Will have more time today to check out what it is all about. You do find some interesting ways to work the body good. Hope that headache of yours goes away quickly.
Tracy, Have a great time this weekend. I need to expand my yoga DVD's. Everyone seems to really like Shiva. Oh for having all the money to get all the workouts I want.
Jeanette, So sorry to hear about your parents dog. My parents had a boxer, they are great dogs. I work in the Facilities Dept of a large company. I order parts for machine/building repairs, and handle all the bills that come in for keeping the building running. So I get to work with a bunch of men. Only one woman Electrican in the bunch, and she is pretty cool also.
Debra, So glad to hear that your talk with DH went well. I never feel sorry for my DH when he is sick. May be the fact that there where so many in our family, that once one got sick it wasn't long for others to get sick also. My Mom didn't have enough time to give sympathy to just one person. Guess it kind of rubbed off on me too. Glad Anna could get all the tension out of you.
Nicole, I can't stand when DH or the girls are looking over my shoulder when I'm wanting to chat on this thread. They just don't understand that I need to talk to like minded women about exercise.
I tell them to go away all the time.
Sandra, You are one busy lady these days. How many cake decorating classes do you have left? Has it been a fun experience for you?
Cheryl, We had a health fair here at work, and the nurses that where there had brought over a slab of fat like the one in the picture. It was a 10 lb chunk of fat, and really looked horrible. Of course it was sort of realistic also, it was soft and squishy.
Swifty, Congrats on finishing your X rotation.
Wendy, Loved your description of your Mother. Hope that foot of yours starts feeling better soon. I don't have a fun name to call my Mom. But she is good one to lay the guilt on. If she wants all 7 of her children to attend something, she is really good about letting you know without actually coming out and telling you. :7
Have a great day!
Laurie
