Xers ~~~ Wednesday ~~~

Hey Ladies.

Please excuse the intrusion on your check-in. :)

Traci-X asked me to come here and post my X pics for y'all. I am usually the shy type and only announced the presence of my pics to the folks I check-in with regularly but as a favor to Traci (who inspired me when starting the X!), I am here.

If you click on my picture trail link below you will see my X pics. I finished this past weekend but still have to take the final (90 day) shots. I intend to do that this weekend so you can check back if you are interested. Day 1-30-60 are up though!

Just so you know...I did the classic rotation with a few changes...I added an extra leg day (Cathe style) in phases 2 and 3 and did 3 days of cardio through out. I did my own cardio most of the time...running, spin, step, etc.

Have a great day folks!:+

Just received SQUEEZE!!!!! But DH sound asleep in DVD area! Sure wish he'd get better so I can do my thing today!

I have been busy on my "day off" work. There was a big fire near my house early this AM and blew out the cable connection. No internet till a few hours ago.

Well, It's here:7 It arrived in the Mail yesterday afternoon.

I read the book and watched the Bring It and viewed the Chest\Back DVD. Wow! I was scared, then excited, then scared, then excited, (you get it.)

I have decided to start the Classic. I want to read a bit more, do my fit test, take some pics, etc. I will start very soon.

I woke up this AM for my Cathe w/o. I grabbed the pull up bar and did 2!:) I could not believe it. Then I dropped and did 10 push up on my toes and then I was happy. I know I have made the right decision. Cathe's Gym Styles and ME and PUB's have prepared me for this. I have been diligent for 6 months now. I'm ready to take on the X..}(

I have so much to do. My newsletter for work is due to proof, I'm volunteering to assist the mailing for our local Rail Trail, a Bath for DD and dinner. Yikes! I better get moving.

Thanks for your continued support. Bye!

Hi there ladies...still feeling pretty puny, so I am going to take a day off of exercising...My chest just feels really heavy, so I don't want to push it...I will only have time for a short workout tomorrow since I have a massage scheduled in the morning and DD has a playdate tomorrow afternoon....It's bring a friend to gymnastics week and then they are coming back to our house...so I won't have time in the afternoon either...I will probably try to get a short cardio in tomorrow and then back to my upper body split on Friday...Hope I am feeling well enough to get this in! I actually have a doctor's appointment on Friday (just a check up) so if I'm still feeling bad I will already have an appointment.

Okay...I'm off to lay on the sofa for a while...with Traci's DH...just kidding!

Later gators!

Debra

Wendy: your progress is awesome nice pictures and nice work:)

TracyX: Pizza & KFC I threw in the garbage before I left my house x(

Tracie: Wow, when you clean, you clean lol eyeing yoga, if anyone doesn't claim it I’ll take it ;)

SandraX: honestly, it’d be so hard for me not to start over, only week one, it's okay :)

You guys will be finished with P90 by the time I get started. SO WHAT:p :p I’m right behind.

Well, almost time for me to go home. Tonight, I really want to see the results of American Idol I couldn’t believe Sanjaya last night, I think that was his worst performance ;) You guys have a wonderful evening.

Teddygirl~

you who..teddygirl where are you? sorry to intrude on the xXer's forum. i saw traci's name and i thought it was ww ladies. teddygirl, how are you? i have not seen you in a while and i wanted to say hi and let you know that i will pray for you!! i hope everything works out and if you can ...keep me posted:)

I'm baaack! Spent enough $ on the kids today! Girl's clothes shopping is sooo much more fun than boy's clothes shopping.

Got my coffee exchanged for no sugar. Now, onto today's personals.

Traci-X: Looks like Tracey is keeping you busy! I've heard the same thing about her outfits. I'm sure she won't wear red for her set of workouts!

Amy: Yes, you will have time to memorize L&B. By the end of the X, you should be able to do it all in your sleep. At least that's what I tell myself about ARX! ;-) LOL about your dh's reaction to your Barry Bootcamp purchase. Men, you gotta love them!

{{{{Teddygirl}}} I will be keeping you in my prayers for a good liver report! Waiting is sometimes more difficult than the actual results. Glad to hear your surgery went well. It's always scarry going under the knife. Let your body heal up. What's another day? I know 24 hours. :) We'll be here for you during your rest and restart. My gf was diagnosed with Hepatitis C about 10 years ago. When I saw her a couple of years ago, she told me it was a false positive. I forget how long they were treating her with medication until they realized it. It was for at least a year though. I'm NOT getting the Sugar Ray w/o unless it comes with a cute outfit!

Laurie-X: How does StrikeZone compare to Kenpo? Were you able to keep your form throughout the section you did?

Jeanette-X: You have every reason to celebrate! :) But popcorn? Girl, you are good! I would have celebrated with a fat piece of Chocolate Stampede cake from Longhorn! Maybe that's why I'm still not debt-free. :7 I do love Fluidity and the Bar Method. If you like unweighted workouts, you'll like those too. I hear i-ballets are also good.

Sandra-X: Glad to hear your eating is on track! LOL Carrying a chicken to KFC! I can almost picture Traci-X's beautiful dog trotting behind you with a limp chicken in its mouth! Its kind of a gross vision though. I could never live on a farm. I don't like to see or think about my food in its natural state. Leftover chicken salad doesn't sound so good anymore. Thank you so much for the pull-up tips!!! I will try my best to implement them into my next w/o requiring chin-ups. I'll be posting a link for the Thai dishes I made last night.

Debra-X: You take care of yourself!!! Is your dd feeling better? Usually, I get their colds after they're already nursed back to their fiesty, wired selves.

Katie: I know what you mean! I dreaded C&B weeks 2 and 3. I didn't notice any decrease in strength for C&B. I did notice it for Plyo and week 3's S&A. Recovery week will be here soon enough. Then no more C&B till phase 3! Yippee!!!

Jess: Good for your dh working out after a long day. I have to hand it to people who work all day and come home to Tony! There are days when dh works up to 12 hours of hard labor (not including driving time) and still works out. Makes it hard for my lazy self to complain. Awww, Come on share your pictures! It's a great accountablity measure and bonding experience. Don't you want to shower with us? LOL That's how Traci-X and I felt after we showed ours. :)

Lea-X: Which one do you feel is harder: BodyMax2 or Plyo?

 CALLING ALL SUBBING X'ERS:
Can y'all who are subbing do me a favor if it's not too much trouble? Can you give a short sentence as to which one is more difficult -- the actual X workout or the sub? I'd greatly appreciate subbing vicariously through you all! Thank you very much! You can now return your regularly scheduled programs.

Tracy-X: Thanks for the links. I'll have to check them out tonight. I don't think we can understand someone like the shooter. For one, we are pretty much sane. I have a physiology of pain in the muscle question. How do I relieve the pain in the butt feeling I get when I have to do something I don't want to, like say, eat clean? Hmmm? Inquiring minds want to know. :+

Phil just walked in the door. Gotta justify my purchases to him. LOL Nah, he's such a loving provider.

BBL,
Wendy

Real Quick:

Wendy-X:

Thank you so much for posting your progress pictures. You look like a totally different person from your day 1 pictures!!!! Did you drastically change your diet? Did you lose any weight? I can't believe the change in your arms in 30 days! Amazing! Not to mention your abs! You should be proud of yourself! Congrats! Can't wait to see your Day 90 pictures!

Blessings,
Wendy-currenly struggling for an X

Another real quick:

Traci-X: What are you trying to do? You know I'm not allowed to sub and your GIVING away your unwanted dvds! Why are you doing this to me?

Wendy

Hi Ladies,
Better get on here a little earlier tonite as we want to watch Eragon, the dragon movie later.

Sandra, I got to thinking about the extra money. I would sure like to have a new kitchen someday, and not have the mess for months and months (DH would string it out forever I'm afraid). Maybe I'll save up for that. The package was 7 DVD's that Debra sent me. I'm interested in the Gin Miller's too. I've heard good things about her. Oh, so many to try out and my Squeeze came today too. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to ride some of the climbs of the Tour De France someday. I'm dreaming of that right now.... You know, I've only done Legs & Glutes like once or twice before so maybe I thought it had a lot of weighted stuff. I remember the ankle weight work was killer when I did it. It did have ankle weight work, didn't it? I like B&G and GS Legs a lot better for some reason, but maybe I need to revisit it. I think I just like to lay down for floor work.

Laurie, now I remember the lady with the hat in the Janis workout. Like what was that all about? LOL re: the reflection from the red pants.

Debra, donkey poop? So sorry you caught the cold. I'm crossing my fingers, I've sneezed a couple of times today. I don't need a cold at all as I have a bike event in 3 weeks and our 1st hill climb next Thursday. Glad you are going to take it easy. Easy with Traci's DH? You are a character! I think he's too sick to care who's on the couch next to him. I did like The Prestige. Hard to believe the doubles carried it off for so long. Hard to imagine that kind of professional jealousy and hate.

Katie, way to go on the weight loss!! My body just doesn't need as many carbs as I used to think it needed, plus I stay leaner. I remember almost hitting a wall with PlyoX the 3rd time I did it, think others felt that too.

Jess, good job on YogaX! You're a better woman than I am. I think I only did the whole thing once the entire P90X rotation. I subbed Bryan Kest and Eoin Finn and Shiva most of the time.

Lea, you are a grad, you know what works for you and what you like, I say go with it. Your sub is no slouch workout.

Wendy, you are going on the road trip? I mean THE road trip? You lucky duck! I don't think you have to worry about being a weak link. From what I've read, I don't think Cathe does real complex choreography for the road trip step classes. You'll be fine and mahvelous looking! And I know you will be soooo strong! I improved a lot with my pushups and lat pulldowns. It really was amazing! I know of these light chocolate wafer cookies (they are round) that I can use for the crust. I used them in a previous mocha cheesecake I made. I'm going to have to look up that Chocolate Stampede dessert from Longhorns on a copycat recipe site. I hear that 40K (25 miles) is a tough time trial distance, I've only time trialed for 12 mile distances and it's tough. I think I'll just have to think of the 25 miles as a ride, not a time trial. I still haven't heard if it's a go or not. Hope so. Sugar in your coffee? I gave up my beloved fat-free vanilla creamer but have since subbed it with Splenda and fat-free half & half. Why did I do that? I love my coffee, but especially on Friday nights after work as I don't have to worry about it keeping me up at night. I've never had DD coffee. Can you tell me how I acquire the Iballets and how they work? For subbing, the only thing I ever subbed was an Imax once for PlyoX (think it was only once) and a Master Series plyo workout that I have. Subbed some of Cathe's abwork if I remember right a couple few times. Ab Ripper X is the best though, it just gets boring after a while. Good thing it goes fast. My DH did that one a few times and moaned and groaned all the way thru it. You'd have thought he was delivering a child!

Tracy, salt cravings right before TTOM is right. I'm due to start this weekend (oh joy). The less salt I eat, the easier my cramps are. I've done okay for today, the chips are gone and 3 bags of popcorn later, the bags are in the trash. Nice to know that more flexibility aids in pain relief.

Teddygirl, when will you have the results of your liver biopsy? I so hope that it is very minimal. Hugs to you! Please wait until you are healed up before working you.

Traci, sorry about DH's bug. Tell him to stay away from you. Tell him you'll leave his food and meds by the door and he can walk over to it and pick it up, that way you won't get infected. Have you looked at Squeeze yet? I just previewed about 3 minutes of it. The pretzel workout looks tough. I'm going to have to switch my rotation around next week as legs are on Wednesday and that's the day before my hill climb. I need a little bit more time to have the fresh legs thing.

Swifty, so happy that it arrived!!! When are you going to start? You can already do chinups? You are going to totally rock! I didn't use a pullup bar or bands. I used our Bowflex lat pulldowns. It worked fine too.

Got to go watch the dragon movie now.

Jeanette

Hey gang!

I normally am pretty anal retentive about typos and stuff, and looking back, I re-read what I typed this morning and cringed and all the typos! I could tell that I really wasn't as awake as I thought I was!

No egg whites yet...I though for sure that they'd come tonight! Hopefully tomorrow, er, today!

KenpoX was awesome tonight. I took TraciX's advice about 10 minutes into and ditched the shoes and socks! Talk about an improvement!!! I thought that I had torn my medial meniscus in my left knee last fall, so I have been wearing a brace on it when I work out. Anyway, I didn't wear a brace for Kenpo because it's not really a high impact workout, but I ended up being afraid that the turns on the carpet would "tweak" the knee a but. Anyway, that problem was solved when I ditched the shoes and it felt great! I felt more grounded and could actually concentrate on the kicks and punches a lot better instead of worrying about my knee! Thanks, Trace!!!

Sandra- Thanks so much for the compliment about my workouts! I don't know if I will ever feel comfortable enough to ever be an instructor, but it's nice to hear that someone besides my dad thinks that I could be one!!!;-)

Netta- I am so jealous of you having paid off all your bills! Because my DH is 100% disabled, I am afraid that that will only happen to me if I win the lottery!!!

I never did tell DH all what new workouts I ordered....I forgot, plus because of his reaction after BBC, I will just hide them when they come in.;-) Honestly, he really doesn't care how many I buy, as long as I use them, plus it's coming out of my bank account, not his, so he really doesn't mind. I think that after my years of aspiring to be a sloth, he's grateful that exercise!

I hope that everyone is sleeping soundly! I will check in with you in the morning!
