X'ers - ~~Tuesday~~

Was it Sandra that mentioned something about the shirts? Or was I dreaming? And if so, did anyone respond. (yes, I am way too lazy to go back and check).

Hi there!

Well - I did Chest and Back today -- I am still doing the scheduled upper body workouts and PlyoX this week, just not on the day that Tony scheduled them. Chest and Back is such a great workout! It felt great, although once again I didn't really increase my # of push-ups except on the diamond push-ups. I also did 30 minutes walking uphill on the treadmill at the gym followed by a yoga class.

I got some new sneakers today!!! YAY! I'm not crazy about how they look, but they feel great. They are New Balance 1008 cross trainers. I also always get their training inserts - they feel so good instead of the insert that comes with the shoe. So of course I put them on this evening and one of my doggies had to step on my new shoe with his muddy paw!!! Then I turned around and my other muddy dog was up on my bed rolling around. I swear that I just can't have nice things! Which is the reason they are muddy -- can't keep grass growing because they are so rough on the grass! Enough ranting about the dogs - my tootsies felt great tonight on the treadmill.

Also, today I went and had bloodwork done to test me for Celiac Disease (gluten intolerance). I don't know why my doctor has not tested me for this sooner. If this is the problem we sure could have saved a lot of money on all of the other tests. Hopefully she will call me tomorrow with the results.

TRACI -- What a great leg workout you did today? How long did it take you? I can't really imagine doing anything along with Plyo X, unless it was much later in the day or something. You are a machine! I ended up only doing about 10 minutes of pilates last night, just felt too tired, but thanks for the inspiration anyways! I do get a good burn from Pilates while I am doing it -- but like so many other workouts I don't every feel anything the next day like I sometimes do from ARX.

SANDRA -- I know - you are right, I guess I'm not necessarily quitting, I'm rearranging and personalizing. I am definitely feeling my leg workout from yesterday, feels very tight. I was intrigued by the Hip Hop Abs, however I cannot dance at all and would feel so embarrased doing it. The commercials always suck me in! All those fit attractive people. I'll wait and see how others like it. I agree with you though -- it might not do X'ers or Catheites much good. Do you get Fit Tv? There is a show called "Celebrity Workouts" (I think) and there is a hip hop episode. I recorded it and when my little sister comes over she tries to do it and loves it.

JEANETTE -- I have a stupid question -- what is a goathead? I haven't ever heard of that -- we must not get them here in St. Louis, MO.

DEBRA -- I'm sorry to hear you are catching something. Make sure you take care of yourself. HA HA - I love your comments about Dreya's moaning! For some reason some things about her get on my nerves -- it's probably just the way Tony drools over her.

Everyone have a great night!

Hi ladies,

It's late but will try to get a little bit of personals in. Just finished painting the family room. Just have the kitchen and will probably do it this weekend. DH has to do some old caulking removal and replacement around the sink and countertop first so it depends on when he finishes.

Lea, glad you liked Plyo Legs. I'll put that in a rotation soon. Plyo's are hard, but effective. Lea, I don't have Tracy's ab workout yet, think they shipped it today. I'll definitely keep everyone posted on it. Many people have commented on how tough it is.

Traci, so glad that your workout was a good one and you've found the magic again. I'm not catching your drift on the Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 thing for legs. Could you please explain or do you have worksheets for it too? I'd love a copy of it if you have it. Today wasn't tearful at all, but will miss lots of people in the department. Our paths just won't cross quite so much anymore. I'll just be a phone call away. Thanks for asking about Dad, he's doing better. This bug is really going around and it just settled in his lungs and threw him for a loop. So glad he's home now and Mom takes the best care of him.
LOL about the credit card in the cabinet! I know the feeling. Sounds like you've got some good DVD's coming and at good prices too.

Debra, hoping the cold doesn't develop into anything bad. I started to feel a leeeetle bit off this afternoon, but came home after work and started my painting project and feel okay. Others around me are getting sick though. I just want to finish P90X without getting sick, I'm soooo close! Yep, PlyoX is done for me, but I realized that I still have KenpoX to do 2 more times.

Sandra, ^5 on finishing PlyoX today. Doubles, no wonder it's hard. I can't even imagine putting in extra workouts. When that workout ends, I always give an imaginary ^5 to Blam. Dang, I didn't realize I had KenpoX 2 more times until you just mentioned it. What was I thinking? I'm looking forward to Recovery Week next week and will do it as written as I'm just anal I guess. I saw shrinkage to my body during RW last time and was always raring to go afterwards.

Monica, you're still doing some P90X workouts anyways so that's a good thing. Make it fit you. Glad you're loving your new sneakers. I'm thinking I need some new ones as today I had some little twinges during PlyoX that I haven't felt, like tired shoes. I have New Balance 609's which they probably don't make any more. My dog sometimes tracks in mud, but hey, I love her so much that I can't stay mad too long. That's what carpet cleaners are for. A goathead is a low growing viney type weed that puts out a thorn and dries and falls off. They blow out into the road and bikes run over them and get flat tires. It's also called puncture vine.

Dreya's moaning, seems so out of place coming from her. I still don't have it figured out.
