CL/PH3/WK3/Day2: PlyoX

My goodness the thread is busy today! And I don't have time to do much but a drive-by post. Bummer.

Anyhoo, I was very stiff and fatigued in the entire upper body from yesterday's workout. I put PlyoX in the machine and pressed play. That was a major accomplishment, given how I was feeling. I made it through PlyoX, but the dang thing really felt hard; almost nauseating. But I did it, and by the last sequence was actually gaining good energy. I really went high on the last round of 180 squat turns.

Then I chucked GS Legs in the machine and did the standing leg portion, and the stretch. It felt so GOOD!! THAT'S what a leg workout feels like, in my book! My legs feel TOASTY! I asked for Mommy a couple of times (oooh, those slow lunges!!).

I'm going to skim all your posts and see what all the chatter's about, then I'm off to buy stuff for the Valentine's Day party I foolishly agreed to let DD#1 have this Sunday.

Have a great day!
Sandra

Okay, I just skimmed, and you guys are having too much fun.

MONICA!!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! What a relief! Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate!

Okay, I gotta go do KM Blast Challenge - oops! Wrong day! :) :) :)
(Did I say I loved that thing? Uh, not really. Just love the feeling of being done it!).

Great job Bringing It everyone. Let the snow fly, and ya'll stay warm and cozy in your lovely homes. Unless you're Jeanette. Then you need to open a window and let the paint fumes out.

BBL,
Sandra

Well, Monica..I'm glad I can uncross my fingers and toes now..they were starting to cramp!!! So glad to hear of your wonderful results...Hope band practice is canceled this evening so you can enjoy some time with your DH to celebrate your good news!!!!

And Lea...just have to ask...what the heck is breadless french toast...and can something without bread even be called toast? Glad it was yummy, though!

Tracy...Love, love, LOVE Aussies...We were going to get one back when we got our dog....but the issue of the hair was just too much to get over...so we got a golden-doodle (half golden/half standard poodle) and she doesn't shed very much. I like some litle dogs....bu only if they don't bark too much!

Okay...everyone else...I really have to go and exercise now....Chest and Back...here I come!!!!!

Just wanted to say I'm still doing a happy dance for Monica!!!

Debra - LOL. It is actually egg whites cooked omelette style with cinammon and splenda sprinkled on top and sugar free maple syrup. It might sound weird, but I am telling you, yummy. Have a good workout.

Maybe I should do something other than be on the computer all day.:p

Lea

Work let me go home early due to the snow. So I rushed home and completed Cardio X. I just called the gym and they said their instructor is planning to teach the yoga class still -- good thing b/c DH is still having band practice.

Lea -- I'm glad you explained the breadless french toast. I was curious. Sounds pretty good!

Monica

You all are really bringing it today!

I did about 20 minutes of step and it looks kind of fun. Marcus Irwin something or another. Then I did 2 sets of 7 leg exercises with pretty heavy weight and alternated with some plyo that I came up with from looking at variations on the internet. I finished up with Brian Kest Sweat and felt like I had pretty much had it. I think the weights and the plyo are a nice combination. Of course ttom hit full force right in the middle of my workout,so that didn't help.

I'm always talking about how good it is to do things you don't like. I guess I'll have to add on KM blast challenge on my next cardio day.

Sandra - GS legs on top of plyo X? That should give you some good fatigue for the next couple of days. I may have to pop in GS legs on Friday; of course, standing only! That's my next leg day. Hey, what about doing an IMAX and during each recovery doing a different leg exercise with weights (squats, deadlifts, step ups, etc.)??? That might be a nice shock too!

Traci - I have heard about re-training the sleep patterns with kids. Sometimes it's common for teens to stay up late, then nap in the afternoon, then can't sleep at night>>> vicious cycle. I hope it helps. I can't stay in bed after I wake up. I have got to move.

Debra - I hope you are getting in chest and back as I write.

Lea - Eggless French toast. I can't eat an egg white omlette yet, I don't think that I can do the French toast. You all are sooo dedicated.

Later X'ers, have a great evening!

Tracy

Yoga class was cancelled. That's okay, I picked up my girlfriend who lives down the street and we trekked through the snow to Target. Got a new yoga mat and some cute clothes! I also got a funny t-shirt for one of my dogs. I was going to do a short yoga practice, but my tummy is feeling pretty bad tonight. I have been having more small attacks lately, so I better be very careful what I eat. Don't want to have a bad one and end up in the ER.

TRACY -- It sounds like you have a pretty large DVD collection. I'm not familiar with Marcus Irwin. I will check him out. Sorry that TTOM couldn't wait until you were done with your workout!

Tomorrow I've got Kickmax warm-up and combinations (runs about 34 minutes), then Back & Biceps and ARX. Really looking forward to yoga on Thursday. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow. Everyone have a great night!

Monica

Hi ladies...Just finished watching the dog show...What good dogs!!! My dog is very cute...but she's not very good...she ate part of my Amy's pizza tonight before I could even get it in the oven! I got in chest and back today...and looking forward to my rest day tomorrow..and my facial! Then DD has a play date after school..assuming any of us can get in tomorrow with all of this snow!

Hope you ladies sleep tight...Don't let the bed bugs bite...And have great workouts in the morning!!!
