X'ers...TUESDAY

Hi all,
Had a pretty good day at work today. Core Syn really set the mood for me, I was on top of the world! Tomorrow is KenpoX and in the evening will be a Spinerval with the racer fellas in a cold garage! Am I crazy? At least I won't be dropped. I was going to do a Cardio Coach but a Spinerval will be a nice change. After that, I'll come home and help DH with some weight work. He and I took the dogs out for a nice walk tonite. Not anything near heart thumping at all, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Lea, sorry that PlyoX just didn't go as planned but that's good that you are looking forward to B&B. I love the pump that one gives! Totally clean eating is awesome. Wish I'd been that good today. We are having a pancake (sourdough) breakfast tomorrow, with all the trimmings. I absolutely love pancakes but will try to hold back some and not stuff myself. I'm really enjoying helping DH and so far, he doesn't mind me "bossing" him around. I'm pretty vigilant to anything that might hurt his shoulders but I still push him a bit more than he would probably push himself. I'm anxious to get out my new P90 Master Series (thanks X) for him to try. I'll have to preview them soon. Ooooh, I've got to go to the Health Food store and pick up some almond butter.

Sandra, that's great that you are noticing major differences with flexibility and yoga. I have learned soooo much with this P90X thing and that I must take the time to stretch and do yoga. Makes me feel sooo good. Glad that Core Syn was a winner for you today! Yep, it was easier for me than I had imagined, but hey, we've been working out pretty intensely, something should be getting easier! Dreya rolls, I have to watch the very first one up as it pulls on the inside of my left knee, after that, it doesn't bother it anymore. I do them assisted, but they are kind of fun. I don't do the jumping X that Dreya does or spins or anything like the gorgeous and talented Dreya can do. I do carry some momentum into it, that really helps. DH is already shedding some size to his girth. Not fair at all!!! He hasn't cut out all the beer, but is now drinking Michelob Ultra with less carbs. Hey, I don't discourage it as he is trying to do better. This thing has to be doable for him. Yep, I've shed water weight for sure and maybe it's from no weight workouts this week. We'll see. Dallys from the Hardcore thread (who has done the X twice) said that she thought the most change occurs during the last Phase. Hope she is right, though I'm not disappointed (when I'm not puffy). Can't give you an answer on the Masters Rotation as I'm not sure what it is right now. In my DH's case, he's not big into much cardio, though I think KenpoX was okay for him the 1 time he did it. He lost a lot of weight last year simply by doing weight work. In his case, I would keep the cardio very moderate to keep up the interest. Think my DH would rather get outdoors and hike or walk or maybe bike than do a Plyo workout (right now anyways).

Traci, sounds like the Door Gym is a real winner! Yep, your next rotation will be different with this new goodie! Back work is something that I never felt did any good before using just dumbbells and lawnmowers. I love my Bowflex so I can imagine this Door Gym works like that too. Nice to have a lean upper back. I hate that bra bulge stuff. Yep, I'm still feeling lean today. If it continues all week, I'll know it is from the weight work and therefore, should always, always, schedule a recovery week into my rotations so I can enjoy the leanness for longer period of time. When I'm cycling in the summer and doing more climbs or time trials, I will only do legwork no closer than 2-3 days before an event. That gives my legs time to be fresh. Sunday's ride really brought no fatigue to them as I've been doing Cardio Coach once a week and riding consistently (though short distances). Hey, Adrienne.... way to bring it on PlyoX Rocky Style LOL! I feel like Rocky when I wear my weighted gloves for KenpoX, which I have tomorrow morning (hums the Rocky theme to herself).

Monica, sorry that PlyoX wasn't top notch, but you're right, Tony says to just do our best. If you came out of it thinking it was fun, then it was successful in my book.

DB, great idea of doing PlyoX with your own music. I'll have to try that sometime. We have so many options, don't we?

Tracy, your back must still be bugging you. You are wise not to push it. I haven't done a Cathe abworkout yet, but am anxious to see the difference now. LOL about drying your hair in the car! I'd freeze here!!!

Must get going, looking forward to checking in with everyone tomorrow.
