Morning All!
Did we break a post record yesterday? 32! OMG- We must live the most exciting lives! :D

P90X Doubles: Phase 1 / Week 3 / Day 5 TH / Round 2
Stretch: Total Body Stretch
Doubles: None planned
*** See notes below

Slept on couch last night as DH was sound asleep in our room... it had a "germy" feel to it and I need to fumigate this morning. He woke up at 3:15am with me today bright eyed & bushy tailed... A 24 hour thing it looks like. Thanks for all the well wishes... I think he got better because I told him Xer Women still workout when they're sick. ;)

***Since yesterday ended up being my rest dayx( because of DVd player and DHs germy self in my workout room I shall be getting my butt in gear today... Yoga + Killer Kicks and ya KNOW I'm going to get all excited and test out SQUEEZE just so I know where to put it into rotation. ;)

Be sure and peek at post #20 yesterday... some Workout Giveaways posted... Making room for the new collection! Even a few Cathe's in there (sorry - just VHS versions of Cathe)

BRB with catch up from last nights events....

:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
Gotta clear up the rumor Amy posted late last night- It was WENDY & DEBRA who originated the naked Kenpo – I just followed along!

:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: PERSONALS!

Swift Amy!!!!!
:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
Hooray Hooray Hooray! That internet outage sounds like the perfect excuse to read all the “stuff” from Gym in a Box! My mind was (still does) just go on overwhelm with all the info he provides. Class Act! VERY happy that your home was not directly involved in the fire!
Way to go with pull-ups! That’s quite impressive… I think Tracy X was the only one able to do any at all in the beginning! I used bands in beginning then switched to an Altus Door Gym in the end (and using this time around) its “cable” work like Jeanette’s. Amy (the other one) is also using the door gym – she’s stronger than I am so she can let you know if it’s working for her.

Debra !!
:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
Hope you are feeling as perky as DH today! A massage???? Well woman are you going see Eoin??? Perhaps Brian??? Sounds like a great day all around! DH said you snore! Thanks for email- got it!

TeddyGirl!!
:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
Hows are patient today? Being a good girl and following Drs orders? Hmmmmmmmm should I be taking bets on that one? Lol on AI- I haven’t watched one show this season but even I had to watch the last 5 minutes because of all the hoop-la! What WILL all you AI fans talk about now??? I have your name on Yoga: Kundalini

Wendy!!
:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
Don’t ya just love coming home with all those bags of goodies??? Personally I prefer them appearing on my doorstep – but I’m AFRAID of all the crazy people in malls ! I KNOW you understand that one! OK- My shoutout is ….. ALL YOGA SUBS ARE “EASIER” & SHORTER than Yoga X! Other than that I sub arx but always have to do a longer session (beyond 16 min) to get the burn… I try not to go “easier” on that one. Other than those 2 I don’t sub… I add baby add! (OK not much cuz Tony hurts me!)
FYI: If ya want to chat with WendyX about her X experience (she did awesome!) she is over at about 8 checkins- I know for sure she is on P90X January Starters… I doubt she’ll be back here to read… shes a BUSY girl! Studying for her AFPA as well. ROF about giveaways! A girls gotta have something new waiting as a celebration gift to self for post X!

Jeanette X
:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
I’m going to have you watch all the movies I want to see… If I could waych them during day I’d be in good shape- PM’s I fall asleep! Funny you said all that about DH, meds food etc… That’s pretty much what I did yesterday… I asked him if he was offended – HE WAS! Lolololol Cant wait to see how I can fit in at least Power Squeeze Premix (30 min) into my weekly rotation. I think it should be called Mini Squeeze! – Anyway…. I want to work Mini squeeze & Brand New Butt into my X rotation… I’ll have to see where.

AMY!!
:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
So glad you can do the naked Kenpo! It really is freeing isn’t it? No worries on the typos…. Well except maybe you do gotta worry…. Drill Sargeant Sandra X kinda has a thing about apostrophes…;) Dont tell her I said anything tho!
Hope work is going well!

That’s it for playing catch-up…. As soon as DH leaves at 5:30 I’m going preview Squeeze!
:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

Good Morning!

LOL at "naked" Kenpo! Yes, it is VERY freeing, especially not having to worry about the knees!!!

Traci- Where do you find Eoin Finn yoga? I tried looking online and could only find in at Amazon. (or is there somewhere else?)

I am hoping for my egg white shipment today! It bothers me when I am expecting stuff to show up and it doesn't....especially egg whites!!

Amers-
I got Eoin thru Amazon... I think I found it somewhere else too but it was more expensive. HURRY EWI HURRY;)

~~~ Squeeze Overview~~~
Jeanette X- Let us know if I forgot to mention something or if you have a different twist!
Tastes of Yoga X, Pilates, Ballet
I actually sat & previewed the entire thing as I was fascinated
Main Menu:
Full Body Squeeze (60min)
Power Squeeze (30 min)
Custom Squeeze (7 options)
A WONDERFUL surprise…. Each of the 3 options under main menu are actually individual workouts not just premixes! Custom Squeeze choices actually are not all done as part of main selections. That means LOTS of options! If you did all the customs and both workouts you’d have extremely little duplication of moves. VERY NICE!
Highly Instructional & cued extremely well
Well worth the $ based on options & variety
It’s not chaptered but within workout each segment has a cue card so its easy to FF and find
All moves are isometric & isometric pump based
Lite hand weights or wrist weights and any type of weighted ball / or squishy kids ball will do fine. Chair and wall are also used
~~~Full Body Squeeze (60)~~~
Warm-up
Arms (includes back & chest)
Triceps
Waist
Pushups
Standing Stretch
Standing Legs
Seated Stretch
The L (butt/thighs)
Ab “C” (abs/inner thigh)
Buns & Thighs
Final Stretch

~~~Power Squeeze (30)~~~
Warm-up
Power Push-ups
Standing Stretch
Legs
Pretzel (buns/thighs)
Abs / Inner Thighs
Buns & Thighs
Final Stretch
~~~Custom Squeeze (select your own)~~~
Triceps
Arms (includes back & chest)
Seated Stretch
Pretzel (buns/thighs)
Fold Over Planks (area between butt & hammy)
Flat Abs
Windshield Wipers (buns/thighs)

It's just me...Intruding again. ;)

Just wanted to respond quickly to y'day's couple of posts:

Teddygirl: Thanks for the kudos on my results! You can get 'em too girl! GO FOR IT!:)

Wendy: Thanks! My eating didn't change much. I was eating moderately clean prior to starting the X and continued to eat that way through out. The only difference is that I ate MORE because I sure worked up an appetite! So you see even with *NOT* stellar eating, the results are with in reach! }( I ended up down only 1 pound from day 1. At at the end of phase 2 I had been down 3 pounds but you know how the ol' scale is!:p More importantly I lost just over 4" total and my body fat went down about 1% according to my omron which is not the most accurate tool but atleast I know I went in the right direction!:) HTH!

Good morning,

How is everyone today? as for me, I’m feeling good, happy that I’m able to start back on my vitamins I could not take em doctor orders.

Anyhow, starting my workout on tomorrow YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :)

Doubles/ Phase3/ Week3/ Day4

Hi Gang,

Tracix - Okay, I need to go review my notes: does Drill Max have an abs section?? Granted, I've only done the whole thing as-produced about 2 times, and rarely do the non-cardio portions, but I don't remember a lay-on-the-floor ab routine? Is there one? Is it good? Yay that DH is feeling so much better. I hope you remained clear of the infection-zone. I tell ya, this parenting gig has pretty minimal requirements. There's no doubt you would have been a top-notch mom! And no, 46 is not too old to have a baby, but 60 is too old to have a 14 year old teenager LOL!! A suicidal uncle in charge of a woman with alzheimers? Yes, that does sound like a tragedy waiting to happen. I watched the first few seasons of 6FU and loved it. You don't really want my mind. You couldn't afford the pills :) Very interesting list of videos you're giving away. How come YogaX isn't in there? :p The You on a Diet video - why don't you want that one?

Wendy - You're returning a coffee full of sugar?? I would take that as a sign from Above that I was meant to have it, and guzzle it down before s/he changes her mind! I love my coffee sweet, but ejected the sugar a while back because no nutritional book I found would let me justify it. Do you live next door to the DDs?? If you want more information, tips, or support regarding chin/pull ups, go chat with the women on the Chinnin' Check In. They're a great resource, and gave me some great ideas about how to incorporate these things into Cathe's workouts. And they're funny. After 3 weeks of CST, you will be yelling "CB again!!! YAY!!". My Cathe subs I find different than P90X workouts. I find them more FUN. Actually, they work me harder, but because I find them more fun, I prefer them.

FitMom WendyX! - Okay, I've been around here longer than FitMom Wendy. I remember when she first introduced herself. I remember her getting pregnant and all that stuff. How come her "before" pictures look like my "after"??? Hmmm? It's NOT FAIR!!!! Wendy, if you're reading this, you look amazing!! Extreme kudos to you for working so hard. Email those pics to Tony, and I'm sure you'll wind up being in the P90XX videos.

Swifty - YAY!!!!!!!!! So excited for you!!! It's here! It's here! It's finally, finally here!! You watched the Bring It video? I have to admit I've never done that. Should I?? Is there something on it that I need to hear? Like, where they placed all the voodoo dolls, or how to crank out ARX 3 times a week for 13 weeks without eventually wanting to sue BeachBody for inhumane treatment? I'd bet my P90X collection that they tell you about the necessity of taking the supplements....I'm a pull-up bar person.

Debra - I hope you're feeling better today. Traci's DH tells me it's YOU who snores LOL!!

Teddygirl - remember: no workouts for you today!! Rest rest!

TracyX - I have a question about pain. Is DOMS a result of lactic acid build up, and is it better for your muscle recovery to avoid working the muscle altogether until the pain is entirely gone, or do some lighter muscle movement to "flush out" the lactic acid?

JeanetteX - I have a Gin Miller workout. Her first stepping video, perhaps. I can't remember now, it's been so long since I've done it. I remember at the time I found it challenging, but that was back in the day when I thought PowerMax and StepWorks were "killer" cardios. I also borrowed her step-interval video from a friend around the same time period, and found it very intense. I don't recall the exact name of the video. I like Gin as an instructor, and would definitely explore her more recent offerings. Yes, LG does have a lot of weighted ankle work, both standing and on the floor. The floor work is really good (because you don't use the stability ball!!!). Revisit it and see what you think. DH's dream is to do the Tour route. Apparently there are a group of people who ride the tour route every day, I think the day before or after the professional riders breeze through.

Amy - That's extremely interesting that doing Kenpo without shoes improved your knee situation. You all have made me decide to give it a whirl the next time I pull out Kenpo. So, your first week of a true X-rotation is over. How'd you like it?

I did Shoulders & Arms and ARX yesterday. I've increased the weight loads in a number of places on SA. Gotta be happy about that. I think it's odd, though, that on the full-supination-bicep-curl Tony is using 25lbs, and I'm using 22 1/2. Tony's slacking!

I'm slacking on ARX. I know the workout so well now, and am so bored with it, that I'm really just going through the motions. I definitely don't give it my full effort or concentration. I'm going to put that one away and sub from now on. I also think part of my wide-waist problem might be from ARX bulking my waist muscles, especially my obliques. I have a Pilates for Abs dvd that I think I'll try for a while. It has 3 ten-minute segments.

My goodness my tummy is bloated these days. Just awful. It's from PMS, and most likely all the fiber I've been eating lately (Traci's egg-burrito!). DH is not loving the effects of all this burrito-eating, either :+ Yesterday's eating is nothing to brag about, but I promised to hold myself accountable to ya'll regardless of how bad it looks. My actual meals were great, snacks were fine, but in the afternoon I started adding in the harmful stuff: mini-chocolate eggs, biscuits, meringue cookie, free bakery samples at the organic grocery store (sweet potatoe cookies, muffin samples, ate the baby's free cookie that she decided she didn't want...). Also, at dinner time, I mixed up a box of buttery cranberry stuffing for the kids to eat as a side dish. I hadn't intended to eat any but......Yup, had the largest portion of all of us. I mentioned yesterday that I was craving KFC pretty bad, so I guess this is how I compensated. I was on a simple carb quest. I hope AF arrives soon, and brings a tray of raw vegetables!!!!

I'm planning on doing DrillMax Scrambled Cardio premix today, then 30-45 mins of Shiva Rea's Yoga Shakti dvd. Wendy, yes, I consider this to be a much harder workout than CardioX and YogaX, as called for in the Doubles Rotation. But since I don't intend to spend 2h and 15min working out, I'm going to condense it and go harder. I'll be back later to let you know what or how I actually did.

Have a great day,
SandraX

Oh TracyX - quick question for you: do you have that pilates zip link handy? I never got a chance to read it. If it's bothersome for you to find it, I'll go back and search for it, but thought I'd ask in case you have it bookmarked.

Cheers,
SandraX

Good morning ladies!

First off, the movie "Eragon" was a snoozer for me for some reason. DH stayed up for all of it, but I headed to bed. The dragon had a female voice and was too cute. Oh well, he liked it okay, but said he wouldn't want to buy the movie.

Today's workout was Rhythmic Step and hold on, I did all of it, though my oatmeal was calling me at the 60 minute mark. When Cathe asked "are you ready for the challenge?", of course I couldn't stop then. It was fun even though DH said again that it sounded like circus music. Was supposed to do a short bike ride before our bike club meeting tonite, but it depends on the weather. I'll bring my bike and stuff to work, but may change my mind. It's difficult for me to want to ride in the colder weather after its been nice.

Traci, so glad your DH is feeling better today. Must have been some short-lived bug. I am soooo waiting for your review of Squeeze today! It sounds great. Any workout where I can lay or sit down is wonderful. I have a couple of weighted exercise balls that are maybe 5-6" across and a smaller one that is probably about 4". Would those work? Your written review of the exercises in Squeeze sounds great.

Amy, hope the egg whites show up today. You girls and your bare feet. I don't think I'll try as I'm afraid my arches would start feeling it. Maybe I should just try it and see? Oh wait, I'm not doing KenpoX for a while, taking a big break from the X.

Teddygirl, glad you are feeling well and get to start back soon!

Sandra, you are cracking me up big time today, you are so witty!!! Love to read your posts! 46 and with a baby. Oh my gosh. I can't imagine. Our son was 18 when I turned 40 and I'm so glad, but hey, I'd deal with it if I had to AND make the best of it. So many are raising their grandchildren so guess it's about the same thing. Good question to TracyX on the lactic acid question. Okay, I'll have to try Legs & Glutes again sometime. DH has been home the same times that I have so haven't had any privacy for reviewing my new DVD's. I look forward to reviewing Gin Miller's Simply Endurance and Simply Strong (thanks Debra!). Debra also gave me a couple of Baron's yoga DVD's #1 & #2, Slim & Lean, Reebok Intense Moves (step), and a Karen Voit BLT (stability ball workout). What a haul! (Thanks again, Debra). I can't imagine riding the Tour route every day. It's mind boggling that these guys can RACE over 100 miles every day for 20 some days. I only ride (not race) a century ride every once in a while. They are amazing athletes.

Got to run, ooh time for that shower!

Jeanette

Morning Xers,

Doubles: Ph1/Wk3/Day4/Rnd2

Today will be YogaX for me. This is another one that I will have to split up. I will only be gone from it for the amount of time it takes to pick DD up from track practice. Also tonight is family night. This is the one night of the week DH works a day shift. :) Oldest DD purchased Pirates of the Caribbean Life game, so I'm guessing that we will be playing a round of that. :)

Wendy (fitmom), Thanks so much for the look at your pics.

Sandra, I'm with you on Wendy's before picks looking like my after pics also. I say that it must be the fact that we had two children vs. the one. :) And of course we didn't have P90X to work with between children. Just my way of justifying my belly. }(

Teddygirl, So glad you are feeling better.

Swifty, I use the bands because I have no place to put a pull-up bar. I have gotten to the point that I need to find a place to put one or have DH find a safe place to attach one.

Debra, Hope you are feeling better today.

Have to go to a meeting BBL,

Laurie

Hi all,

Yesterday I did BM1 and BM2 upper body segments only doing all of each body part before moving on. I like that combination; it is tough and goes by fast. Then I went out for a 2 mile walk and included some hills and a tiny amount of jogging then magically hips. After doing Shiva for two days, when I went back to magically hips I saw quite a bit of improvement in my flexibility, which was exciting. I really like her starting vinyasas because they move so fast.

I found out day before yesterday, that my left calf is weaker than my right, probably because of all of the numbness/lack of use from the last 4 weeks. I wasn’t happy about that and have now added in exercises to get that back in shape. It was not like that before all of this started. It’s hard not to focus on it everyday, but it like the rest of my leg basically was locked up for several days and I don’t want to overdo it. As I work through this, I really see why inactive people don’t recuperate from back injuries.

Today I am doing the stationary bike, some light leg work and yoga; I think Kest Tone, unless I have enough time to do Shiva. I can’t wait to get her new dvd.

Wow! The thread is getting so big. It is great to have so many people!

Teddygirl – Glad everything is under control. I’m like you about the meds. I am sick of the medical model that most doctors cannot get away from. I’m finding that there is lots of information on alternate forms of treatment. There is a lot out there on the mind body connection, which I am a firm believer in. One of the people that I work with is trained in reflexology, which, simplified, is using pressure points to send internal messages to heal different body parts. I’ve added that in for my back. Glad you implemented the ‘trash can strategy,’ you won’t be sorry.

Traci – Yes, I read it wrong. I though you did BM2 upper and then all of DM. I’m like is she nuts? More workouts? Where do you find them all? Glad DH is feeling better.

Swifty – Glad you got your X. Even though I wasn’t lifting heavy with Cathe’s workouts, it prepared me well for the X. I have a pull up bar, only because I have boys. If you can get it, I would suggest it. Bar work is really great for the back and since my back injury, I’ve realized that you can really work the muscles and not stress the spine.

Debra – Sorry you are still not feeling well. I envy you on the massage. I hope that you feel better soon.

Wendy – OK, so when I want to remind myself of why I shouldn’t be indulging in a momentary pleasure of eating some garbage, I use visualization. I try to remember how my gut looked after I came back from New Zealand and lived on chocolate for 10 days and then I remember how hard that was to get off………….

Amy - I always justify buying my workouts by saying that it is cheaper than belonging to a gym. DH hasn’t a clue how many I have though.

Sandra – How is everything today? I have to go home and look at the matrix, then I can post what I did. It’s interesting because I didn’t feel like it was one of the harder sequences I had done, just very balanced.

http://www.easyvigour.net.nz/fitness/hpilatesintro1_2.htm#ZipAndHollow
http://www.easyvigour.net.nz/fitness/h_Zip_FineControl.htm

Jeanette – Floorwork, I hate floor work. I know that I need to add it in though. I think that it really helps to tone the lower glutes which I need.

Hi to all who follow,

Tracy

Sandra,

As I was reading your post my head TRIPLED in size!:p :+ Thanks so much! I am grinning from ear to ear now. :) I didn't take pics in all of the proper poses that Tony wants but I guess I could mail 'em off anyway. Worth a shot, right? I don't think I look good enough to get on an X infomercial though...Do you really think I do??? I'm sure you look fantastic by the way! I used to check in with you on the daily check in and you do some kick butt work outs! I'm sure you look waaaay better then you THINK you do. We are our own worst critics!!!

~~~
Well gang I am so enjoying test driving some of the new workouts today…
This morning I test drove Squeeze Upper Segments ( 16minutes)… Used my 1# KickBox gloves & thought I would DIE……
Did Tracey Staehle Core Strength & Conditioning 40 min without Warm-Up & Stretch… LORDY LORDY….
Killer Kicks Low Impact arm & leg drills and combos 31 minutes….
~~~So really I did the Kick & Abs I never got to do yesterday… all that’s left is an hour of Yoga this afternoon and then I’m back on schedule.

:eek: WendyX:
Thanks so much for stopping in again to motivate all! You are a gem!!! Yep- You need to get photos into Tony…OMG What if he called you or came out to see you???? OMG!

:eek: TracyX
I crack up every time you and I talk about floor work… I think I actually like the floor in Brand New Butt and squeeze… just not typical floor stuff. Your workouts continue to be creative and challenging… I pity that weak calf…its gonna get its booty kicked!

:eek: Laurie X
So are you buckling and going to get that pull up bar? I doubt I’ll ever care that much about my back muscles to do it- DH would make me put it in garage and that’s poo-poo! Yoga X is a great one to split up… You’ll get it done no doubt! What are your plans for Recovery Week ? I’m planning on playing with all my new stuff without using weights higher than 3#.

:eek: Jeanette X
I really like Core Strength & Conditioning… Its appears to be effective seeing as my abs are on fire and cramping up already! The Arms & Triceps in Squeeze Full Body & Custom are the same FYI…I got that wrong this morning. Didn’t actually attempt any lower work as tomorrow is legs & back. I’ll definitely get it done as produced next week (recovery). One of my pending arrivals is Gin Miller Intense Moves… Seems like maybe a plyo sub. Those balls you have will work just fine for Squeeze- you really only need them as a squeeze devise so weight wouldn’t much matter…. A rolled up towel would work in a crunch .. LOL about your RS today… see you aren’t lazy… I would have politely told Cathe NO – I don’t have time for the challenge!

:eek: Sandra X
ROF about my ab workouts… Hell if I know about DM! All I know is I did 2 different of Cathes latest series… (I keep them grouped ya know!)… I’ll let you investigate what I did… look for one marked OUCHIE! Did you happen to notice me by your side last night eating all the carbs with you? Yep- I was right there!!! I started pondering some things last night after I watched 2 disturbing evening news segments…I did not crave any carbs/sweets/salts yesterday and ate well… I was 45 minutes into a carb/salt/sugar binge before I even noticed I was doing it… It started immediately after my World News Tonight Meltdown. Obviously stress is a trigger for such cravings…comfort food perhaps? Is this a contributing factor to obesity in the states? We are and have been a stressed out nation and its getting worse & worse… Is this part of our issue? It is certainly my personal issue. Interesting to consider…. There are the physical craving s + the cortisol levels in the body that are influenced by stress… just wanted your thoughts. CONGRATS on weight load increases! I’ll be adding 2# wrist wts to my weight work after recovery week… I feel like I’m slackin’ right along with tony! I agree about ARX.. Like everything, once its old news and you can no longer focus then its best to sub. I’m doing it only 1 of 3 ab days each week… Its become the longest 16minutes in history this round!

:eek: TeddyGirl
Glad you are chipper today! Gotta love those vitamins… are you SURE you can start back with X tomorrow? That sure seems quick…. Whats on your schedule – I lost track… Maybe not heavy weight work.

All caught up and a disaster of an office to organize before I pull my hair out….

Great day to all!

:eek:

Morning fellow Xers!!! I am so very very happy to say that C&B went SO much better this morning than last week. I did a whole bunch more push ups on my toes this time and I was actually able to do the diamond push ups, which I couldn't do last week. I'm so happy and now I'm psyched for the rest of the week. I'm actually not dreading Plyo tomorrow, I'm embracing the challenge! Tony would be so proud!:7

Wendy (fit mom) - I want so much to see your pics, but my firewall at work won't let me and I'm temporarily in an apartment with no internet (my new house is ready on May 15th.. woo hoo!) Anyway, don't take the pics down until I get a chance to see them. You looked great before so I'm really excited to see how you look now. How's the running going by the way???

Katie

Tracie: Yep, I can start tomorrow I put me 2 days in lol. I won’t be starting with the X on tomorrow, just a lite Cathe workout, glad the weather is starting to get better you know I luv to walk can’t wait.

Final attempt with the X I’ll be starting this Saturday. Last time…………

Teddygirl~

TraciX - thank you so much for your meticulous list of exercise on the Squeeze dvd. Can you give me an example of what you would do for one of these exercises? Do you hold the ball and squeeze with the targeted muscle group? Or do you pulse? Inquiring minds want to know. Would these make good travel workouts? Oops, I posted this before answering your question about stress. So, I'm updating to add that I do indeed believe that stress and cortisol levels play a role in obesity. Those "You" doctors explain that connection in great detail in the Diet book. I know you have that. I thought it was so interesting that they talk about belly fat accumulation as being a symptom of stress and inflammation. Ach, I'm sorry you had a carb-loading experience last night, too! Let's each breathe deeply and relaaaaaxxxxxxxxxxx. This too shall pass...this too shall pass.......

FitMom WendyX - Oh dear, I didn't mean to make your hats too small. Your omron registered only a 1% BF drop? Visually you appear to have gotten leaner than that. It's that lovely 6pack you have shining through that is so enviable! Maybe you drank too much water before you did your After measurements. Yeah, that's it. You're a well-hydrated athlete! BeachBody has some kind of contest where people send in their before and after photos. If you've been to the website, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Go for it! What have you got to lose?

Teddygirl - Glad you're doing better!!

JeanetteX - ahem, my dear, there is no "60 minute" mark with RS. It's a 59min workout, and the challenge starts around 45mins, IIRC. Caught ya! LOL! What workout did you actually do? Or are you like TraciX and just making all this up? You know, TraciX "tells" us DrillMax has an ab segment. I'm just joking around. I'm happy you were having so much fun with RS and the circus music that you completed the whole thing. I have to agree with you about that; very annoying. But the choreography is top notch, isn't it? You have a ton of new videos to try! Be sure to let us know how you like them!

LaurieX - You're exactly right about Wendy's one-child torso, and our two-child torso. We'll just ignore NewWendy's six-child six-pack, shall we? If the data don't support the theory, then throw out the data! Yeah, I know how to do this social science stuff. More like science fiction LOL! I keep meaning to start one of those Family Night things, but I can't find a family that will take me.

TracyX - Do you have a multi-disk player? If I tried to do BM1 and BM2 upper body weights, one body part at a time, I'd waste so much time changing dvds that I'd quickly give up. I'm with TraciX on feeling sorry for your left calf! It has no idea what it's in for! It won't dare lose strength again, once you get through with it. I have visions of you walking around with a brick tied to the top of your left shoe. Thank you very much for reposting the links. I printed and read them, and now want to go back and read everything else from that website! Oh, it's good to "be active". I get to sit at the computer and read all day! I've decided that I need to work on my pelvic muscles. The dr is sending me for a bladder ultrasound to find out if there's a physical problem behind my strong urges to urinate frequently. If all looks normal, she mentioned medication as an option to deal with it. But, like you and Teddygirl, I'd rather avoid that route, and will begin doing pilates to help strengthen those muscles.

Katie - You are so psyched from your workout! You've got me feeling a smidge more motivated now. You're going to plow through this rotation with the greatest of ease....Nice work on the diamond push ups; they're tough!

NO, I haven't done my workout yet! Okay, okay, I'm going!!

TracyX: BM1 & BM2 wow we;-) We are somewhat alike, after I finish my workout, I love going for a nice long walk. Aw...can’t wait till tomorrow, so ready to bring it. One of these good ole days, try BM2 that’s the upper body twice, so nice……Great job!

Hi all,

Teddygirl, Yes I love my walk and so do my dogs. They have been having withdrawals since I haven't been going as often. I hope to go 3x per week starting yesterday.

Sandra - No I don't have a miltidisc dvd player, but I have BM1 on VHS and BM2 on DVD, so that works nicely. I would like to get the dvd with PH/MIS/&BM1. You could make some nice mixes with that. I think that the pelvic exercises are really important; especially the zip and hollow because it activates all of those muscles. I also think that there is a certain level of mind body connection with bladder issues. I would try everything else before meds for that. My mom is on meds for that, but I think that psychology, as much as anything is helping her. It is interesting, someone on the forum recommended Healing the Back, the Mind Body Connection. Although I believe that I have some definite physical issues, that book has made a huge difference in the way that I percieve the problem and especially the pain, which I think is speeding my recovery. The mind can really play ugly tricks sometimes.

Debra - Did I miss a comment on poop eating dogs? My doberman before this one ate poop. As gross as it was, it did help to recycle the mess in the yard.

Well, I'm successfully avoiding work.

Hi All,

New to the thread:) Debra invited me over and I'm glad to hear about other Xers experiences. I'm working on Classic: Phase 2/ Week 1/ Day 4/ Round 1

I am having a hard time with the lack of cardio but I have to control my OCD and ride this thing out. I am addicted to cardio but as of late it hasn't been helping me. I eat pretty clean with a York Peppermint Patty thrown on every once and a while:)

Anyone followed Classic to a tee and have luck even with the lack of cardio?

Thanks again Debra for the invite!!

Nicole
