Hi Xers,

Today is DS 18th birthday. My how time flies!

I hope everyone is well and back on track eating mostly the right stuff. I'll BBL to catch up from last night.

Jeanette - I meant to comment on this yesterday. I can't believe what other people eat either. I sit there with my meagar lunch and people are comsuming more food for lunch than I consume for two meals. It just doesn't make any sense.

Tracy

morning Tracy! & ALL the fabulous Xers!
I shall return with personals & thoughts on Jari Loves' Ripped 1000. Still scratching my head a bit!
Today is yet another new workout! lol
SpeedBody- Its a full body circuit using a light medicine typre ball. I'll do my workout with my 8# ball as much as possible. Its a 45 minute workout with an 18 minute Body Blast whicjh I'll tack on as well... The 10 minute Ab Blast is going to be 1 of my 3 ARX days next week.
Gotta get java... read last night ..... I shall return... Can ya tell the fruit detox day did me a world of good? Feeling Ready for Tony to visit on Monday!!!! WooHoo!!!! What shall I wear?????
Thanks for all the moral support yesterday guys! I adore you!!;-)

Good morning everyone,

Just sitting here waiting for my coffee to warm me up and wake me up. In a few minutes I'm going to head down to the basement and do Circuit Max. Yeah. That's what I'll do!

Yesterday I had only enough time to do Amy Bento's All-Pump Extreme: Back, Biceps & Triceps. The workout was fine, but wasn't enough by far. I would have liked to have done some cardio. So, I will count it as a rest day.

Yesterday was another disaster eating day. We had an afternoon playdate here, and the mother brought a black forest cake!! I feel like I just can't get a break! I will be spending most of today at West Edmonton Mall with the kids and a friend, and of course lunch will be in the food court. I think I will pack my own lunch to bring, if I have some time before we go.

We were a group of busy typists yesterday. I don't think I have time to address all the comments I'd like to, but I'll hit a few of them, at least.

TraciX - I'm glad the fruit detox made you feel so much better. I should try that! My pity party last night was grand. I'm looking forward to hearing about the SpeedBody workout. Where do you get all your videos from, btw? I'm sick to death of all the food journaling, too. I wish I could be trusted to just eat reasonable portions, but the last few days have proven otherwise!! Like I asked LeaX below, what does Tosca's eating program specifically mean for you? How, exactly, will you be eating? I think if you split YogaX up, you will still get some benefits, for sure!

LaurieX - Happy belated birthday to your speedster daughter! I hope she has a great time becoming the fastest runner in her school! Are you starting the next round with us on Monday?

DebraX - So you had a great time with KenpoX, hey? That really is such a great workout. "Hip!" "Hit from your hip and your body!" I hope the house showing goes well! I learned about the baby food when DD#1 was an infant. I had a friend living in NZ and swapped her a box of Canadian chocolates for a box of their baby food. I was curious to see what babies in other parts of the world ate. DD#1 loved the jars of pumpkin-sweet corn mixed together. I fed her stuff that I'd never even heard of before. I can't remember the names, but they were a variety of vegetables that we don't grow here.

LeaX - I find it physically impossible to eat pizza without finishing it off with cc cookies. So you and TraciX are going back to Tosca, huh? What exactly does that mean, to you? Six small meals a day with protein, few grainy/starchy carbs, no sugar, limited fat? That's what I took away from the book as being Tosca's eating plan. Hey, I almost started reading the meditation book last night! But I fell asleep :+

Katie - Welcome to our check in!! It's great to have you here! Don't fret it about the chin ups at ALL! I started the X unable to do *one* unassisted, and by the end of it, I was doing them in sets of 6. My last workout with the X I did 28 altogether. And the push ups! By the end of the 90 days you'll be as comfortable on your hands as on your feet. This program makes you stronger! You hope to lose 15 pounds? Hmmmm. I'm not sure that's a realistic goal with P90X. What do the rest of you guys think? I know from our time together on the Daily Check In that she's already in terrific shape; nice biceps!!! Was IMAX2 fun yesterday? I remember it was always your favourite.

TracyX - Where can I find the Magically Hips video? I forget all about the "Do your best...." motto LOL! I really forgot the rest. You're absolutely right. If your family finds that soup odd, they would run fleeing from this house. I've made some pretty unusual foods over the years, especially when I went vegan for a bit. I'm glad your back is feeling better. I hope you're back to cranking out your pull ups again soon.

JeanetteX - Pigeon pose is my favourite pose! A 7 mile ride for you is just a warm up, isn't it? We used to own a Ford Ranger. Nice little truck, it was.

Okay, I've got to go. I'm probably already behind schedule. After Circuit Max I may tack on some core work. Will have to see how much time I have.

Cheers,
Sandra

Hi all,

Traci - Where are you finding all of these workouts? Your DVD closet must be huge. I meant to ask, why didn't you like BBC total body? I must have missed that comment somewhere. Do you still think that the series is worth buying? Jury still out on JLR1000? I bought a total conditioning DVD by Karen Voight years ago that everyone raved about and I couldn't stand it. You just never know.

I had a little pity party of my own last night. I won't go into too many details, but it wasn't pretty. My glute tightened up really bad after my walk, but DH massaged it, which seems to help the most so far. Then I found out that one of the only co-workers that I really do like has a cancerous nodule in her lung.

BBL,

Tracy

Ripped 1000

Would I pay full price again… No
Will I do this again…. Probably
Would I use this 3x a week…. No

Our little Cathe has spoiled me beyond belief when it comes to circuits. Jari is obviously not a choreographer so the “cardio” segments are just step ups, fast feet, etc…. What I DID like was that the cardio segments were very short… more like 1 minute then back to weights. I actually think this is more of what a circuit really is. From what I’ve read lately it’s these very short high intensity bursts that conditions better than 5-8 minutes of cardio spurts.
The exercises themselves are pretty standard compound… the pace is a bit fast so I didn’t dare lift anything heavy- I stayed with my 3-6’s for safety. HR stayed in fat burning zone for most of workout and cardio spurts got it up to max every time. What I didn’t care for was the constant reference to burning carbs! Jari has no way of knowing what I’m burning I don’t think… Isn’t that based on what’s readily available in my system? I burned 309 calories so the advertising claim of up to 1000 calories must be for a 200# person in anaerobic state the entire time. I guess I just expect more credibility from my trainers. The ab work was minimal … her very last move of bicycles was actually a count of 5! Then she abruptly stops like OH NO LOOK AT THE TIME! Kinda funny. ANYWAY…. A few other personal pet peeves that I shall spare you. If you feel you want a 55 minute start to finish circuit this may work for you… I see myself using it on recovery weeks or ttom when I just don’t have my all to give. I’d pay 7.95 but not the 19.95 I paid with preorder.

TRACY: I ordered Magically Hips this morning so I should have it to pair with Tony Yoga next week (30 minutes Tony + MH). I sure hope your back is in healing mode. Its been over a week now? Take a deep breath and know that the weekend is very close! Playing catch up all we have to do after a mini vacation is so difficult! I feel like that every time we go to bay… running in circles with fewer days in the city. When you said “Out of body experience” re: food I yelled out loud THAT’S IT! Lolol … OMG I just read your morning post. I am sooooo sorry about your friend! Yes, that would throw me for a loop as well. Sounds like we are all fighting “funk” days this week. We are here for ya Tracy!

JEANETTE: Hope todays ride is a biggie! You seem like you miss those tough rides! Yoga too? Oh my I am impressed – Hope you enjoy Janis! A couple of people over at WW’ers got it – both used weighted gloves are scolding me for their DOMS. I do hope you like it!

Debra: LOL on Kenpo yells! Oh YES I’d imagine a few funny looks from DH! Mine will come peek in to see if I’m OK! Too funny…. I think I sound fierce but I guess I just sound wounded! Have a wonderful day.

Lea: Hope you plan on eating today! Heaven knows you are starving yourself these days! That diet pizza & no fat cookies are just not enough to keep a girl alive! }( Are you taking recovery days between now and Monday????

Sandra: OH NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! What is going on with our group this week?????? Is it the post X curse? That damn voodoo doll (which I NEVER saw btw!) I am so sorry about your funk too! Black Forest cake??? OMG- My whole face would have been in that yesterday. This morning I feel back in control and like I want a healthy lite breakfast. Just 1 day of detox can be a miracle! I find my stuff on Amazon for the most part to get better deals (like on ebay)… Speed Body is a result of reading the HardCore Check-in & Cheetahs! I have since stopped reading any posts that talk about new workouts! Tosca eating is really simple.
5-6 mini meals, protein, grain, healthy fat in each. I usually omit last two grains of the day because my body bloats but all AM meals have one. Fish, Chicken, Turkey breast, Tuna Fish, Egg Whites, are my main proteins…… Avocado, EVOO, String Cheese are my main Fats, and Sweet Potatoes, High Fiber Bread / Pitas are my main grain. I eat spinach, lettuce tomatoes (all colorful veggies) at every single meal. I eat apples & citrus fruit 2-3X a day. That’s it- the grocery list is simple, the meal prep for proteins * Sweet potatoes can be done in bulk and I’m all set. Once or twice a week I make up a “clean” recipe but usually I keep it very simple. BTW: I ordered magically Hips from Amazon for 19.95. Its actually part of the 5 workout (1 DVD) called Power Yoga for happiness (Finn’s name isn’t in write up but its on the cover you can see)

Laurie: Go sca-daddle back to yesterday & read!!!!!!

Steph: Hurry hurry… Grab Laurie’s hand before she gets to yesterday before you!!!

Katie: Hope you are enjoying your X’er stay!

We will be heading out about 2pm today so I’ll have time for 1 more check in before we leave…. Maybe I’ll do a late night post so I can test my dial up!!!

Good groggy morning all!! Today, I will try to do BodyMax, but if not, DrillMax. I too am sitting waiting for that coffee to finish up.

Tracy X - Happy birthday to your little;-) 18 year old. They are still out babies at that age aren't they? I am really sorry to hear about your coworker. How awful. And sorry to hear about your butt. That must not feel good at all. But thank goodness your DH was able to help out.

Traci X - So happy that the detox worked for you. Yippee. It's nice to get junk out once in a while eh? Just make sure you don't turn anorexic on us ok:p ? LOL. Can't wait to here your review on Jari. We are loving the full body workouts these days aren't we? Gotta do them, cause starting next week......X.....YAY!!! OK, you snuck in. Thank you for the Jari review. Now another one I don't have to spend money on. Still thinking of getting Tracey though. I have to thank you for your concern about me starving myself. I just HAVE to get this checked out:p. Is today when you are leaving for the bay:(. Thank goodness for the laptop. YAY to DH.

Sandra X - You are up early. How is CM? I am glad that I haven't purchased any of Amy's dvds. They don't seem to be so intense. I here you on the disasterous eating. Man, I am really starting to feel bloated from all of the crap that I have been eating last night. But the black forest cake does sound good. I too think I will pack my lunch today. We are meeting some of the moms at the park today so our kids can play together, which is always nice. LOL on the meditation too. When I first did it in the class I swear I was going to fall over and go to sleep. Tosca's clean eating to me is yes, no sugar, some fat(nuts, healthy oils), and lots of fruit, veggies, whole grain and veggies. My bod seems to respond well to that. Of course I will have to have cheat days, because I do get tired of those foods, but not cheat weeks:+ .

Debra X - I am glad that you got your frustration out with Kenpo. LOL on DH giving you weird looks. Thanks for your order info, no money collected yet. I swear by the time us gals are done with round two we will have them!! BTW, what are mohitos? I couldn't post my favs in the OD, I would be there all day. Yes, I need help, LOL.

Jeanette X - I am glad that you were able to go visit your folks and ride over there. I guess that they don't live that far from you. At least in the 50 mile mark right:+ ? LOL on the toilet. I am actually removing the darn thing and replacing the wax ring and trying to fix the toilet wobble. Unfortunately, I didn't do it right the first time, go figure, so I have to do it again. But now I have to put 2 wax rings down to try to fix the wobble(read that on the internet). It's a lovely job. Aren't you glad you asked:p ? I think that is a lot of girls dream is to have the kitchen redone. I have a shrinky dink kitchen too, but I would like it to look nicer. LOL on the bike racing winnings. Have you ever done any competition? I bet you would be so good at it!!!

Hi to Steph, Monica, Katie and Laurie, oh my brain isn't working really. So if I missed anyone, so sorry. Got to go get some coffee:9 .

Lea:p

Morning Xers,

Today will be some type of Yoga. I will either do Bryan Kest Zone or Sara Ivanhoe's Yoga Target Zone, one of the compilations. Yesterday I did get in a 2 mile run on my treadmill. It was just to wet and cold outside. I refuse to venture out in the cold. Had to run in the snow in HS, so I'm not a big fan. :)

Thanks all for the B'day wishes for DD, her best friend decorated her locker. So on her special day she felt very special.

Sandra, Yes I will be starting the X on Monday. I will be doing a doubles variation. Instead of doing the CardioX, I will be running. Hopefully it will start getting lighter out, and I can head out in the morning before work. Have fun with Circuit Max, I wish that one had premixes.

Debra, Glad you had a good time with KenpoX. I'm actually looking forward to doing some of the X workouts. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, or something like that!

Tracy, Wish you DS a Happy Birthday.

Traci, You will have to let us know how the speedbody workouts go. People have finally found out that fitness DVD's are a booming market. If they make a good product of course.

BBL for more,

Laurie

Morning ladies,

Today's workout was yoga by Shiva (Yoga Shakti). Needed it. Will do a bike ride after work tonite, hill climb time! Supposed to be warmer today too.

Tracy, happy birthday to your son today. Do you have plans for him for today or putting it off for a bit. We seem to always move the actual party to a weekend so everyone can attend. Food portions, some of them that I see eaten by co-workers are more like a week's worth of food all in one take-out container. I'd be sick and then asleep soon after. Sorry to hear about your glute tightening up. Big bummer about your co-worker. Hoping they caught it quickly.

Traci, sounds like you are back to normal again and your chipper self. So glad! I liked the same thing about the cardio in GR 1000, short segments but they did get my heart pumping. I have a couple more of her workouts coming but only because this method seems to (currently) be working for me. I haven't had much puffiness at all lately, including during TTOM (which is about over now). Measurements today were down even further (including hips, legs and waist) and I lost another pound. Same eating as before too. I'm looking forward to Janis this Saturday. Doesn't look frantic to me, which I liked upon preview. I'll definitely wear my weighted 1# gloves for it.

Sandra, that cake sounds wonderful! I have a tough time refusing and tend to not go to too many functions where there are lots of sweets. Once I start, it's hard to stop. Am thankful this new office doesn't do much of that stuff. Family get togethers are my downfall, but they don't happen real often. I usually don't hold back too much at them, especially when it comes to desserts. The Ford Ranger is a 1985 or 1983, can't remember. It's giving DH fits. He has a tougher time working on anything with computers or electronic this or that. The old trucks are much easier for him. I sure hope he gets it fixed soon. Seems like we've been hit with lots of repairs lately.

Lea, my parents only live about 3.5 miles from my house. It's an easy ride over there, past lots of pretty countryside, smooth roadway and a nice wide shoulder for a lot of it. They had to put their old australian shepherd down on Monday. Think he was at least 16 years old so they enjoyed him for a long time. Know they miss him. Mom & Dad are pretty social and like to visit their friends, go to class reunions, anniversary celebrations and such, usually out of town. They wouldn't leave their poor old dog with anyone else. They'll be getting out a little more now I think. Hope you get that toilet fixed soon. Is your DH amazed by your skills? I sure am. Know you will get the job done right this time. Hate to wobble while sitting on the pot.

Laurie, hope the yoga goes well today. Bryan Kest is great and I have one by Sara Ivanhoe that's okay too. Sounds like your workouts are going well and you starting the X again too. You girls all rock!!!

Got to get ready for prison. Been very busy there. Couldn't sleep last night as I was thinking of things. Not in a bad way, but mind wouldn't quit.

Jeanette

Ok Jeanette.... You may want to get out that Credit Card & check out SpeedBody! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Music... heard some familiar Cathe & Amy instrumentals... Lead guy is cute.... "team" not sweating any where near like I was but they werent giving it 1000% either! lol
The Speedbody workout is about 50 minutes... Warm up 3 / cool down 3 (Definetly not marketed for that!)
12 rounds - each 3-4 minutes with a 15 second planned rest
each round has a little legs, a little upper, & standing abs- some rounds add on 15 seconds of pushups. Time FLYS by... I used their sculpting ball (1#) as he uses it for the functional moves + ab moves. I used 8# weights for all the rest of DB segments.
Also added on the 18 minute SpeedBody Blast... 4 rounds same format but all sculpting ball.
Previewed 10 minute abs... all floor work whicj compliments the standing abs.
You can use weighted gloves for some real inytensity or keep as is for a good solid sculpting/cardio. 2 thumbs up from me!

Also ordered 30 bucks worth of no pudge brownies on line - I just MUST stop buying everthing a Cathe-ite recommends! i couldnt find them anywhere out near me so online shopping saved me once again!

Off to go get things together for weekend. BBL!

Morning ladies! Well, I finally called BeachBody yesterday since I never received an email confirmation. They said that the order was processed and that I should receive it within the 5-7 day shipping terms. So, there is still a small ray of hope that I may receive it tomorrow. I won't hold my breath though since I haven't received a tracking number.
I did L&G today and PH abs.

Sandra - You have a great memory! Yes, I love IMAX 2. I could do it twice a week, every week. I'd like to lose 15 pounds by mid-July, but that's really an ultimate goal. I'd be happy to lose about 8 pounds in the next 90 days. I really need to clean up my diet to do it though. I can't wait to see what kind of muscle definition I get after this rotation!

Thanks ladies for all being so welcoming. I'm very excited to be a part of your group. Can't wait to get started.

Katie

Whew!! Did BM2 cardio and weights premix. I believe Miss Sandra did that one and liked it. And you know what, I have to agree. What a nice mix!!!

Traci X - WTF?? Ordering 30 bucks worth of No Pudge. How many boxes is that? They are really good. Make sure you have a lot of vanilla low fat yogurt around. I have a box, and might just make some tonight. I checked out SpeedBody, but no video. Guess I am spoiled here. BBC didn't have video and Speedbody doesn't. Hmmmm....

Katie - Here's hoping you get the X on time:)!!!!

Lea

Good morning ladies! Hope you are all well and getting your workouts in as planned today. I personally am putting off my workout until this afternoon since I just feel like lazing around a bit this morning. I am going to do PUB back, abs and chest plus add on back and chest from some other video which has yet to be determined. My wrist is still a little tweeky when I put too much weight on it for too long...so, I can't do a lot of push ups and I get a really good burn from the chest work in PUB. DH has safely arrived in Moscow and is headed back to his apartment.

Traci...Have a great time at the Bay this weekend. My DD looked at the pics of your dogs eating the bananas yesterday and got a real kick out of it. How many boxes of No Pudge is that exactly? Good luck with your dial up this weekend. Jari is not my favorite either...but lots of people seem to like her, so who knows?

Tracy...So sorry to hear about your friend...and your injury. You poor thing! Hope you have a better day today. Happy bday to DS, too!

Sandra...Hope you had a good time with CM...I have that one, but I'm not sure if I've ever done it! Good luck with eating at the food court.

Lea...I can't believe you haven't had the pleasure of a mohito! It is coconut rum, crushed up mint leaves and limes, with lime juice and some sort of mohito mix...kind of like a margarita mix...I had not had one before this past weekend...but now I am hooked! The mint makes it very refreshing...and I'm sure more healthy. Have fun with BM2 or DM, whichever you choose.

Laurie...Have fun with yoga today. I have that on my plan for tomorrow which is good since I've skipped it the past couple of weeks due to time constraints. I am sure I will feel the need to do more X workouts once everyone starts on their second round!

Jeanette...Glad yoga was good for you today. Have a great time on your ride tonight. I hate those nights where you can't sleep because of you mind running on...but of course, there is absolutely nothing you can do about any of it at 2am!

Katie...Good luck on getting the X soon! I seem to remember it took longer than I thought to receive mine...but I wasn't in a hurry at the time so it didn't really matter. I am sure your legs will be toasty tomorrow after your workout today. I am assuming you are planning on following the X diet plan. As a suggestion, make sure you take your body measurements at the start of your rotation...since you may not lose as much weight as you want, but you will tone up by gaining a LOT of lean muscle mass...which is why you may not see the scale drop as much. You will see the difference in the measurements. I did not take mine and I wish I had. I did used body fat calipers and had a signifigant loss there.

Okay...I'm going to run for now...Hi to Steph and Monica, too! BBL to check on you guys!

Debra

Bite off more than you can chew. Then chew it---Ella Williams

Waiting for hair to dry before I go outside and teach DS #1 how to ride a bike without training wheels. We started it yesterday and now to get more practice in before the park.

Laurie X - Your DD is lucky to have a best friend like that. That is awesome. I am glad that she had a good birthday. Have fun with yoga. Hope it warms up soon for you.

Jeanette X - LOL, I think I am eating like yours and Tracy's coworker. I feel like such a pig these days. I will probably be really grumpy on Monday when I switch back to healthy eating. Great to hear about your weight and puffiness. You are doing soooo good Jeanette. ^^^^5 to you!! Too bad we don't live closer to one another, we could trade DH's for problems. Mine would fix your computers while yours would work on our car. That would be perfect. DH just lets me do my own thing around the house since I am really stubborn that way. He met me, I was very independent and now, watch out. I HAVE to do my own thing and please don't get in my way when I do it. Kind of a bad trait. It's nice that you live so close to your folks. Mine are a 45 minute drive away. I use to like it that way, but now I wish they lived closer the older I (and my kids) get. Sorry to hear about their dog. How sad. Are your parents holding up all right? They totally sound like my folks, always busy, never a break. They always travel to another country every year. They do volunteer work, have friends all over the place. They wear me out just talking about it.

Debra X - You snuck in there. Ok, great, now I HAVE to go try me a mohito. That sounds soooooooooo yummy. And I better do it quick since DH and I are not touching a drop for a whole month in April;(.
How is it having the place to yourself again? Are you happy with the way things are working out with him? Have a great workout today and please please please be careful of that wrist!!!

Ok, all caught up now. Time to clean up and give my DS a shove on his bicycle. Later!!

Lea

Fools Rush In

Tracy: Awww What a milestone for you and your DS! I remember when my oldest ds turned 18. I couldn't believe my baby was no longer a baby. And, that we survived his teen years!!! LOL

I haven't read everyone else's posts yet. I'll try to do personals later tonight or tomorrow. I just wanted to quickly introduce myself and ask a question.

My name is Wendy. I'm 37 and have 6 children, hence my board name. I started exercising Jan 2007 with Cathe's Basic Step. I've made a lot of progress since then! I credit it to Cathe's intermediate and advanced dvds and Jari's Slim & Lean. Last night my dh and I did the Fit Test. He passed everything despite not having worked out in over a decade. He's got a physically demanding job. I passed everything except for the chin-up. I could have pumped out more than 17 regular push-ups if I hadn't started the test after 11:00 PM. Sometimes, there's never enough hours in a day.

Dh wants to start P90X classic rotation tonight. I'll do Day 1 while dh is at work since we only have one chin-up bar. I'm neither excited or dreading it. I'm just going to do it, except for the diet. My overall diet isn't too bad. I may refer to it for a general guideline, not follow it exactly. We've already previewed tonight's dvds. My question is what weight do I start with? I can do 28 bicep curls to failure using 8 pound weights. I know I need to up the weights for those. When you first did it, did you just wing it? I have no idea how much I can handle for a good burn after 12-15 reps.

Thanks for any suggestions, advice and/or warnings. I can't wait to get to know everyone here better. I appreciate all the motivation and encouragement you can offer. I'll try to do the same for everyone else.

RE: Fools Rush In

welcome Wendy!
traci- 44- X grad:7 Starting round 2 on April 2nd!
I started right off choosing the 8-10 failure reps... Muscle REALLY made me drop BF!!! You and DH seem really strong already so I say go for it! Sometimes I even did 2-5 reps and super high weight and dropped down for last few reps... I LOVE THIS PROGRAM!!!! Be sure and read the manual front to back- PRICELESS info ... I read it 4-6 times throughout my program and caight something new each time. My plan is to do the same this round.

Back to catch up with Lea - Deb - Jeanette and whoever else I missed!!:+

RE: Fools Rush In

Wendy - Hi!!! Welcome to our crazy group. WOW!!! 6 kids. How do you do it? I have a hard time with 2 boys. Cathe is awesome isn't she? What exactly are you looking for from the X workout? Are you looking to build muscle or lean out? If you are looking to build muscle go with the heaviest weight that you can doing 8-10 reps(the last 3 should be kind of a struggle but with good form). If you are looking to develop lean muscle use enough weight that you can do 12-15 reps with good form. The first week, yeah, you have to gauge what weight you need to use. I am going to have to start over again with that next week. But the second week, you will have it down and then you will really really feel it(not that you won't the first week}( ).I hope that helps a little. Good luck with you first workout today.

Lea

RE: Fools Rush In

OK Back for last of the personals then I MUST get busy !!!

Katie: Fingers crossed for X arrival!!!!! Fear not- you’ll be cussing in no time at all!

Lea: Some kinda workout just before X! I swear I’m gonna poop myself out before I start again! Since I’ll be in “donette town” for 4 days I plan on LOTS of workouts to try and keep up with caloric intake! LOL on the No Pudge… Heck if I know! I think its 1 case (6pack?) of variety and 2 extra ultra smooth choco- chocolaty something! Wanna come over to MY house!!!! What a fun day!!!!! I love watching kids learn new things! The world is a wonderful place thru their eyes… Will you cry?

Debra: Sounds like you are already back to your routine! You either are a great “faker” or you are the most versatile person I know! Hope your spirits are high! Oh that’s COOL about DD and my pics of “kids”! Children really appreciate animals don’t they? I really have no clue how many batches of brownies you get out of 1 bag of No Pudege but I think I have 8 bags coming! Wanna come over with Lea????

Jeanette: Hope you can get in a few extra zzzzzzzzzzz’s tonight.

Tracy, Sandra, Laurie, Steph, Wendy….. hope to catch up with you guys tonight!

Hugs to all! Packing up for “Donette Town!”

RE: Fools Rush In

Hi, Wendy, and welcome!

I would do your first rotation of the X in the classic form....I think that you can really gauge your weights better that way. I agree with Lea...It will take a week or so to learn which weights to use...but if you write it all down like Tony says it won't take you long to figure it out. My biggest challenge was REALLY bringing my muscles to failure...and it took me a while to get what that really felt like...I guess I'm a little slow;-) .

I think it's great that you and your DH are going to do this together...It will help to have someone else to bounce things off of. You will learn so much about your body and fitness in the next 90 days!

As far as the diet is concerned...I didn't follow it...and I'm sure I would have seen more results if I had...just try to eat as clean as possible!

Welcome to our group! And I just have to add...6?!?! Wow! Hats off to you!

Hi! We survived a day at the mall with minimal damage and dd#1 is still asleep in the car. DD#2 is lying on the floor beside me, so I think she's tired too.

Wendy - welcome! I just wanted to add to the advice already given: keep your expectations for Week 1 very low, and look at it as a learning experience. You've got 13 weeks of this, and it is expected that your first week will be all about adjustment and experimentation. Good luck with Chest & Back tonight!!!

Katie - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get the workouts tomorrow!

I'll get back to the rest of you Xers later. Right now I need to fix dinner. If I can find the phone book ;)
