Evening ladies,
Had a good day at work today, got something figured out that had bugged me last night, kept me awake. Should sleep good tonite. Had a good bike ride after work. Rode hard up a long hill. Checked my time from a hill climb competition last year in April. Same course, but this time 3 minutes faster than last year. I'm pleased. I'll do it again in a local competition here the last part of April.
Traci, SpeedBody, huh? I've got to check it out. So is it a circuit?
You're cracking me up with the No-Pudge brownies. I too have purchased them. Trouble is, I make more than one helping, probably 2. They are good. I have to add a little sweetener to the yogurt as I usually buy fat-free plain yogurt. They are a very nice treat. Love the texture of them. I make them in the microwave and savor every spoonful.
Katie, hope you get your BB order soon. I never got a shipping confirmation ahead of time. They just showed up. It was very exciting and I loved reading the manual, which is very informative. I don't have a chinup bar, but used my Bowflex lat pulldowns instead. Still got good back work in.
Debra, love your new avatar! What kind of dog do you have? Nice to see pictures of your darling daughter too. What a sweetie. Hopefully no mind racing tonite still at 1:30 and knowing I have to get up in about 3 hours. Is your wrist sprained? Sprains can be so bad too. I have sprained fingers and thumbs and they are sore for a long time. Glad your DH arrived safely in Russia.
Lea, thanks for thinking of my folks. They are doing okay without poor Scout. They still have another dog, a boxer named Annie and she's a character. She's not young either, think she's around 10 or 11. When we were growing up, we rarely had any dogs, but after all us kids left, they ended up acquiring dogs and loving them. I love living near my folks and can't picture leaving them, though they are in pretty good health, they will need our help more as time goes by. Dad still has a horse and ropes and brands, helping a rancher friend several times a year. He's slowing down and his COPD is not a good thing either. Hard to see him laboring to breathe. He smoked long ago but gave it up when we were young. Still, it took it's toll on him. He has had pneumonia many, many times and I think that his lungs are very scarred. Mom is in excellent health, always has been. That's cool that your parents travel to other countries. Which ones have they gone to? My folks went to the Azores last August.
Welcome, Wendy! That is toooo, tooo cool that you and your DH will be doing the X together. You both sound pretty fit already. What kind of work does he do? And 6 kids, oh my gosh! That's fantastic! Our family had 5 kids in it. We all fought quite a bit when we were younger. Must have driven my mom nuts. For biceps I think I used 10's, 12's and 15's mostly. Toward the end, I used 20's a bit, but not much. I did the higher reps 12-15. I agree with Sandra, take it easy the first week. You'll have a much better idea the 2nd week of what weights to do and all. Your DH was crying Mommy? Love it... My DH moans and groans when doing any of the ab work. Oh yeah, I had to be careful doing heavy pants cuz I hurt my back once doing them. I got to where I'd just skip them. Lawn mowers were okay, but the heavy pants, no.
Must go, hi to everyone,
Jeanette
