Xers -----Thinking Thurday.....................

Hi all,

Just starting us off today. Today is a rest day for me. Yesterday was an easy run and Eion Strong Free and Happy. I like that one because it has a few different poses and balances front stretching with back stretching better. I'm checking personals and I'll be back.

Tracy

Hi all,

Yes I'll be buying the new series. I hope the price is reasonable. I really don't want to get any bigger though. I must admit, I am seeing results in my legs from the rotations that Cathe puts together plus a couple of weeks of the new series. The amount of junk around my outer thigh is the least it's ever been and there is no jiggle anywhere when I run. We were laughing about the jiggle at work yesterday and how fast it comes back if you don't workout.

DH's GF, the heavy one, is considering gastric bypass or the lap band. She's going to start seriously looking at the procedures and get a referral for the dr tomorrow. Does anyone know anyone who has had either procedure? Plus she got anther Chihauhau and DH and I end up baby sitting quite frequently. It actually drives my dogs nuts because I don't think they can figure out exactly what it is. If I wasn't the alpha it would have been eaten by now. It's a good thing that the dog acts like a dog. I would never have a 2lb dog, but it does act just like a 50lb dog. I'm not sure what I was expecting them to act like, a rat maybe?

Traci - I just skimmed that article on food. My philosophy has always been to eat the real thing and never eat the artificial sweetners or diet anything.

Swifty - I hope you feel better soon. Thanks for letting us know.

Jeanette - The darkness stinks. It was getting dark when I came out of the woods yesterday on my run, and I left work exactly at quitting time and raced home, changed and went out. I saw a girl going in as I was coming out. I won't be running in the woods in the dark. It's the hi/lo dome challenge. It's just tricky enough to be doable, but complex enough to be fun. It doesn't have the body jar like KM high intensity drills. Wait until I do her Hi/Lo from the last series though. That got great reveiws.

Wendy - I need to look closely at the other body parts too. I will say that Cathe is real good about balancing the exercises and I don't worry too much with her. It's real easy to over develop the anterior delt and ignore the posterior.

Laurie - How much weight do you use for LL? I see you do it regularly. I get very good results using that workout, but I haven't done it in a while. I'm going heavy again for a couple of weeks.

Sandra - Waving as you fly by.

TG - The leg work in Slo-mo was hard on my back. I'd go lighter to avoid any injuries until you get a feel for whether it will bother your back.

Nicole - Be sure to balance your stretching with from body stretching too. That helps to free up the hips. It took me a while to realize it, but I'm feeling much better now. If I had to have sex 4x per week we would be divorced. There is no question in my mind. DH always compares it to my working out. For me there is no comparison.

Debra - I always feel like I need a shower after a visit to the DMV. Can you imagine working on one of those places? All of the people are like drones. When will the boy friend, be called the boy-friend?

Sorry if I missed anyone. I've got to get to work.

Tracy

Yes, the DVDs will be sold separately. The Workout Manager will come with an optional meal planning software that will help you select healthy foods. The software will keep track of your calories consumed, but more importantly will teach you how to improve your food selection with a very unique interface. You can also easily share your recipes and meal selections with other Catheites. This part of our software was developed for us by another company that we have to pay a license fee for and thus will not be free. As for prices and presale information we will let everyone know the details at another time.

Also : Here’s a fun thing when/if you have time… This link allows you to find the #1 song in US on the day you were born! I think its cool- Mine was “Hes so Fine”: The Chiffons http://www.joshhosler.biz/NumberOneInHistory/SelectMonth.htm

Your Yoga choice was a goodie! Glad you got it in and glad you got in your rest day! ~ FAB news on thighs and legs overall- sometimes I wonder if results come from anything consistently. I mean- I know that each of us responds to certain things better but I think true overall results come from consistency. For instance- I think your legs progress that is now showing is also due in large part to your change in regimen – 10 or 11 months ago…all the yoga/stretching/ etc…. I think it all adds up to “the perfect” body over time. What do you think? ~~Good luck to the GF! Gosh I cant imagine having those surgeries as options. Bless her. ~ LOL on the small dogs… I swear the ones I meet are FIERCE – they have to be I guess! Watch where you step!!! I end up tripping on them when they’re around. ~ My back really got (is ) stif yesterday from Slo Mo I’d imagine…I went lighter than amy too- Also my arms hurt (not good kind) from holding the heavy Barbell in that position for the side lunges…wont be doing those that way again… I hope I can kickbox today because my IL one was painful all night- between that & my back Slo Mo will be done with Traci variations from this point onward.

Amy :* X
Oh DEAR on the No Pudge!!!! I bought 12 boxes off the internet and soon found that even 2 servings made me blow up like a puffer fish AND I started craving sugar again – Had to detox all over…. For my body Sugar is my silent killer vs fat. My body will reject too much fat and I actually get “full” with sugar I immediately go into a zone and cannot stop… I have eaten entire bags of lowfat cookies and such never remembered except for the empty bag… I hope you don’t react the same way. ~ Did you find a pic of Eoin?

Jeanette :* X … Our 3 “kids” are furniture people too! We have leather stuff so all is covered with blankets …. The only time I get to enjoy our pretty stuff is at Xmas for the family party and dogs are outside! LOL ~~ CRASH! Yes that was it! Never saw it as I thought it would be way to emotional and vivid. I cant get those things out of my head once in there!

DEBRA :* X
Need all the details from Breakfast thru Bed Time yesterday! Sounds like a great day!!!!

Nicole :* X
Hope that back is better today!!!! Have a great time with boys & zoo!

LEA :* X
Hope all is well! Keep us posted on DH and effects of strike. World News didn’t seem to mention it last night…Too many horror stories about economy I guess.

SANDRA :* X Hope you got lots done yesterday!!! Oh to go to Old Navy – I’d be in HEAVEN! That’s the only place I can buy (& wear) size 4 jeans!!! LOL

TeddyGirl :* ……… Lets look on the bright side….. you have had all the sweets you’ll need for at least a year! LOLOLOL

LAURIE :* XX
Sorry I missed you yesterday…It looked like I ignored you based on where my post landed but really I didn’t!!! I WOULDN’T! ~ Cami sounds like she has won the hearts of all! I just love how they become bold in their pursuit to be human! ~ Now girl, Cathes new Series is the PERFECT reason to get XXX status starting day after T-giving! You can go the 12-15 reps with Tony and get super duper lean & then plan a bulk w/ Cathe or vice-versa …. It’s a PERFECT way to cycle thru the training phases!!!! ~ I agree that Amy as an instructor doesn’t make me do happy dances but so few do. I rarely like her music, backgrounds, crew…all I like is the diversity of moves… LOL ~ FYI- In Houston Hannah tickets went for reg price 150 – sold out in 2 minutes and all tickets available were thru internet….1600+++++ Our prosecutors office got involved but it was so widespread that nothing could be done… People actually PAID 1600 + to see her…. I think that’s pathetic AND more important it’s the reason it keeps happening…When will we learn????

Wendy :* X
Your new backpack is cool! Be careful honey- you don’t weigh much so don’t be lugging around all your stuff plus the girls & CA!

Carol :*
I think the blog said filming in Dec… will probably take longer than normal – I’m expecting a late Jan early Feb release … Who knows.. By starting X Monday after Thanksgiving I’ll be done really pretty close to new stuff timing. You can start with Wendy & I!!!

MIA Xers :*
Where are you gals?????? Amy???? Cheryl????

:7 :7

Hi there everyone! I woke up to a nice frost on the ground this morning...It's finally autumn here...Yea! Let's see...Had a nice time out to dinner with CB's daughter (CB stands for cute boy). She is a really nice gal and she is in college to be a teacher. Dinner was good...but not as good as I had expected...PF Chang's has this great rep, and I guess I was expecting something more. Don't get me wrong...the food was yummy...and the service was wonderful...I don't know...I think my expectations were too high. Anyway, my DD had a good time too since I let her bring my MP3 player...she thinks she is so big when she gets to listen to my music...And she also had on her new Hannah Montana tunic and felt very hip.

As far as workouts are concerned....I had my yoga class yesterday and I continue to get so much out of having an instructor there to help with alignment and structure. I ended up doing Squeeze yesterday afternoon, too. I left out the tris and bis sections since I am supposed to do 4DSBC as produced today. I have got to see if there is a premix that will let me do it as more of a circuit...I am not sure I am up to chasing all of those weights today! I promise to do some sort of cardio with bis and tris, though! I still have on my pjs...and I have actually been into 2 places of business this morning with my pjs on...how scary is that???

~~~~~~~~~~~~personals~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
****Traci**** I am pumped about Cathe's new series as well...I does sound like the X for Catheites! I'll have to look up my number one song after personals...Have fun with 4DSKB today...I do really like that...Is this your first SloMo upper workout? I may be out of touch since I was MIA yesterday...and the day before I was hosting my own pity party...And let me just add the pity party was over when I woke up yesterday..just lasted a day, so that is good!
******Tracy***** Glad you enjoyed Eoin yesterday..I reordered PY4H since my second dvd broke somehow...It won't be here until the end of November. UGH. I do not know anyone personally who has had gastric bypass...What do you think? I have gotten the impression from previous posts that GF hasn't really given her all to a diet plan...and I thought that was kind of a prerequisite for surgery. I don't like little dogs either...I like big lumbering critters. I am not sure when I will feel comfortable enough to call CB my boyfriend...It sounds so high schoolish...although he is meeting my mom next week and is planning on coming to my mom's for Thanksgiving.
Gotta run for now....I really need to get my workout in this morning. I will be back later to catch up with yesterday's posts..and all that follow today. Hope all is well in your workout worlds!
Good Morning Ladies!!!
I got so much done yesterday! I only did a quickie with Eoin. But, I installed/activated/ran an anti-virus program, spy sweeper on the laptop, fixed/ran Norton 360 on the home pc, and a bunch of odds and ends on the computers. It was nice having one to play on while the other one was busy.
OH! The the toxins flow!!!!!}( :+ :)
I'm with Traci on the price. I'm wondering how much is my limit. I also wonder if they will offer this as an mp4 to cut costs. At any rate, I don't own a video ipod. So, the costs will be high if they do. I was reading the blog again to dh, and noticed the number of days for the proposed series; six months. Then it said it could be done either as a 3 month plan or a 6 month plan. We uttered a few sarcastic remarks about the X being a 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, etc plan. Depending on how much of a discount the preorder will be, I'll wait to hear reviews before buying.
It's time for personals before art class.:) :) :)
Tracy: Thanks for starting us off again! Yes, the jiggle comes back fast! It's not funny though.;-) I usually make fun of my tush. Phil doesn't laugh. He says The Booty is not a joking matter.:+ He's so silly!!! ROTF about the 2lb dog! My favorite Cesar Milan episode had a Chihuahua with violent issues. The owners let the dog get away with it because it was 2 lbs, and they were afraid to hurt it. Watching Cesar discipline it was hilarious. I think he used two fingers.:7 Gastric bypass is serious surgery. My neighbor considered it, but her weight isn't heavy enough. My concern would be the loose skin and being able to eat enough to stay healthy.
Traci: Oh! It looks like they will introduce the Workout Manager with this new series. Is that the same Workout Manager that one could mix and match mp4 downloads? Hmmm. What? You don't understand me? Could it be that my grammar is at the 4th grade level and I ramble on and on and on with whatever pops into my mind? LOL
Jeanette: Tom Hanks and Harrison Ford were hot back in the day!}( :+ They're too fine to have to do yoga!:+ Rush Hour is a game! You have a car stuck in rush hour blocking you from moving forward and off the game board. You have to move the cars out of your way. The cars and trucks can only move forward and backward. Like real life, cars can't fly. Unlike real life, Rush Hour is fun!:) Yeah, my Dad and Phil didn't get sick from the turkey. I just couldn't get past my fears to take a bite. I tried.
Carol: You will get through the X! You have to. You can't shatter my vision I have of you!!!!:p :7 ;)
Nicole: Be careful of your back!!! You might want to stretch before and after walking around the zoo! And, wear comfortable shoes!!! No heels!:+ Your eating sounds better. Keep up the good work! Sex frequency... I'm not going to even go there. Let's just say, Phil is easy to please. LOL}( :+ He's also the quiet one. I love my friends who are quiet, but once you get to know them, they just chat away without censure.
Debra: How's your morning? How was your dinner? How was the daughter. LOL on your yoga instructor. Who's the crazies he's speaking of? His boss and co-workers or his students? How nice of you to offer him a stiff drink!:7 I still have an email to get out to you. I haven't forgotten!!!
TG: Phil and I didn't vote. We had totally forgot. Today is a new day! Eat a salad and do some Cathe.:)
Amy-X: That was a Thankless Thanksgiving!!! I don't blame you one bit for staying home this year and having your mother cook for you!
Sandra: Keep your children away from the toxic toddler! Were you brave enough to take dd to Old Navy with you? Oh! Lookie! We're in sync this month!:+
Laurie: Your Cami had me laughing!!! She sounds so fun!!! As soon Phil or I get up in the morning, Baby sneaks up on our bed too. But, she doesn't lay there, she rolls around and puts her head on our pillows like a person. LOL You might not be happy to hear this. We cut down all our little walnut trees and a medium tree a few years ago. We have an old painting that shows there used to be two huge walnut trees, each flanking the house. The stump was all that was left from one that was cut down when we bought the house. It must have been awhile since it was cut down because the stump came apart without much effort. Maybe, it was infected.
Well ladies, time for me to get busy. Talk more later!
Hi to Amy, Cheryl and anyone else I might have missed.
Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy
I missed Lea! Sorry! Lea, hope you are having a good day. Is everyone feeling healthy now?
Debra: I saw you snuck in. Your evening sounded nice, except for the food not rising to your expectations. I like CB better than BT. I'll continue to like CB as long as he doesn't intrude on your time with us. LOL
BBL,
Wendy
Tracie: Wow! Very good information you posted yesterday about Splenda. As for me I am done with Splenda I’ve been on it for years. I printed out most of the articles. Thank you!
Tracey: Enjoy your rest day. Don’t know when I’m going to do SloMo but first time around I will lighten my weights and use my belt for sure.
This morning I did Gauntlet. I also stepped on my scale up 1 lb I thought it will be more, thank goodness. I’m starting to enjoy Circuit workouts, really get me heart pumping and I'm liking that. I should return with more personals.
Good morning,
Today was High Step Challenge Timesaver Premix. Haven't done that one in a long time. Rotation called for Circuit Max, which I don't have so subbed.
Tracy, I'll be buying the new set too! I'm really excited about it. I don't think I'll be slipping in a P90X between now and then, probably safe to say. Way to go on the no leg jiggle! You work so hard and it shows! I know lots of people that have had Gastric Bypass. A few of them have gotten so thin that I thought they had cancer before finding out that they just weren't eating right. I checked out Amy's Hi-Lo dome and it looks interesting. Her step looks a bit complicated. Let me know about the Hi-Lo from the last series. I don't like hi-impact, in fact, tuck jumps make me grumpy and I lots of times I don't even attempt them. Especially tuck jumps. Being dark early is the pits. If I was braver, I'd get a set of lights and hit the mtn. bike trail, but then it's too cold and sitting by the fire in the evening sounds a lot better. Also, I start thinking of mtn. lions watching me! LOL re: comparing sex to working out! I'm with you too girl!
Traci, I'd forgotten about all the boxes of No-Pudge brownies that you'd bought LOL! They are good. I was eating them regularly too. I ate my oat bran hot cereal with Stevia and a little honey today. I used 3 packets of Stevia and it still wasn't as sweet as I like it so added the honey. Yep, so glad we bought the leather furniture for the living rooms. The dogs love it. I think when the furniture in the family room wears out, leather it will be for us in there too. Yes, they sure are bold in trying to attain human status. Can't believe what parents will pay to please their little darlings. I don't think they are doing their children any favors.
Debra, glad you had a good time out last night. Is PF Changs Chinese food? The yoga class sounds great. Don't think we have much going around here. I need to look into it as I have more free time now in the evenings.
Wendy, you did good on the computer work yesterday. I tried to run a defrag on this old thing and that didn't even work. I'm close to getting a laptop though. Just need to talk to a guy at work about it. DH and DS really think I need to update. What's the matter with this Commodore? Works fine I tell them. Just kidding, but it is old, bought it in 2000 or 2001 and it uses Windows ME. Gulp, a 6 month rotation!!! I can't fathom that right now. I'm already getting claustrophobic.
Got to go, hi to everyone else.
Jeanette
Just popping in before I take the boys to the zoo.
I will be doing HST today minus legs because I think the one legged press is what's killing my hips.
I hope to be back to chat but I'm going to my mom;s for dinner too so it may get late, we'll see:)
Have a great day girls!
Good morning X-ifieds!
I'm quite impressed with the scope of the next series. Of course I'm buying. No question. I hope there's some new cardio, in some sort of fashion. I don't see how she can offer a complete training regimen, eating included, without cardio options. I am tickled and excited about the software. The bit about being able to put in your 1 rep max and having it calculate the weight you'll use in all the workouts is genius. But I don't know why everyone's concerned they can't do a round of p90x before then. She's not even starting filming before the start of February (90 days from now!), and then it typically takes 3-4months to receive the workouts. Plenty of time to do P180X!!! So, get started ;) I wonder if there will be pull ups in this series?
Tracy - I did that Eion premix a while back and enjoy it. I like how his premixes incorporate a few new poses to make them a bit different. My cousin just had the gastric by-pass surgery about a month ago. I haven't heard how she's doing, so can't comment. If I hear anything, I'll let you know. I like medium-sized dogs. The kind you can have in your house, but not mistake for a rat, like you said.
Traci - The #1 song on my birthday was "Make it With You" by Bread. ?????????????????. Are they making bread? Never heard of this song or group, I have to say. How come you never got your workout in yesterday? Or do I have to go back and read y-day's posts to find out? Let me guess...you spent too much time reading the blog and related forum threads. Okay, that was me, but I did eventually get to the bus stop to pick up the kids. Do you not have an Old Navy near you? I hauled the whole family off to the store last night (truth: I wanted to go by myself, but they unanimously chose to come along. Barnacles.). For an utterly reasonable price (big sale on everything), I have a brand new winter wardrobe. Woohoo! And yes, it's all sweat pants and hoodies. A couple of long-sleeved t-shirts and tank tops got mixed in there, too. My calves aren't feeling it nearly as badly this week. It's amazing how quickly the body adapts. I don't think you will ever not feel stiffness, given how hard you consistently push yourself. I imagine that's a good thing? As long as the stiffness gets rotated to different body parts all the time. I'm glad you like my cookie idea. If I were closer, I'd make them for you :)
Debra - So you liked CB's DD, hey? Is he much older than you, to have a college age daughter, or did he have her when he was a young'un? I realize as I approach 40 with my 2 very young children that I could easily have kids entering university soon. Having kids keeps you young, right? And of course, if you live in your pjs, you aren't acknowledging the passing day, and that puts time on hold. Where'd you go this morning? I just read about your day at the SS office. You weren't wearing your pjs, were you?
Jeanette - I like the ts premixes on the HSC dvd. They still feel as effective as the whole workout. LOL about the commodore. The first thing that came to my mind was Lionel Richie's old group. I vaguely remember the Commodore 64. Whatever happened to that company? I saw an ad for a "Yoga for Cyclists" dvd. Are you interested? A great SJP/SB 45min-ish premix is to do the SJP warm up & step, then the SB challenge and stretch.
Wendy - So you're saying it's your fault that I'm 4 days early this month? You don't sound overly excited about the new series. You're too much of a Tony fan, are you? Okay, you buy the new P90X+ workouts and do them. I'm happy to defer that privilege to you.
Teddygirl - Gauntlet for the 2nd time this week? Yup, you've gotten serious!
SwiftAmyX - Ooooh you got the toxic turkey, did you? How miserable that must have felt!! I'm glad you're back in business already. I didn't realize your pic trail link was only going to be offered for a day. Is there any chance you can put it back on so I can take a peek? I wasn't around on Sunday.
Laurie - What a sweet story about Cami yesterday. I don't think I'd have the heart to keep a dog off the bed. My cats always slept on me at night, and I liked that. One would even curl herself up on my pillow at the top of my head. She was my Cat Hat. Kept us all cozy. I'm surprised you didn't buy Eion long ago, based on how much people here rave about him. You won't regret your purchase. Definitely don't be scared of Christi's workouts, just be prepared for a steep learning curve. Her hi/lo really is quite enjoyable, once you get the foot work down. Her step is a hoot, too.
Nicole - You sound like you're taking your workouts cautiously these days, and I think that's great. You've got the kids home for 3 days? What are you going to do with them to pass the time? You aren't going to spend all 3 days at the zoo, are you? Put the chair back. I liked it :)
Carol - Weren't those plie jacks in blast 9 a lot of fun? Thank heavens there's none of that in the new series!
Oh look at that. Dd's already left a long black pen mark on the sleeve of my new light grey sweater. Why am I surprised?
I did 4DS BootCamp this morning, including the bi's and tri's. It's official: I love the weight work in this series. I really enjoy the cardio, too. It's all good.
Have a great day!
Sandra
Morning Xers,
Rotation: LGI8 Week8/Day1
Workout: Rest
Well as of today I'm going to start saving my pennies for the new workouts. The blog almost made me cry from happiness. ;-) The one thing that made me happy was that the premixes would include parts of the original workout, and add new footage to make all the premixes different. The one problem that I have with P90X is that for 3 weeks I'm doing the same workout, and the leg workout (although fantastic) is the same for the 90 day rotation. Also Ab Ripper gets old too. And the workout manager sounds like it will be good too. So from what I read I'm happy!!
Tracy, Glad you are seeing jiggle free results with your current rotation. I do not know of anyone that has had gastric bypass, so I guess I'm no help at all. :( Oh I'm not a lover of any dog that isn't well behaved. DH's brother has a Westie, and that dog is just NUTS. I never go to their house with nylons on because the thing is constantly jumping on your leg! And it barks all the time! (of course this is just bad obedience training) I think Cami would love to chase a little dog around. After all it probably looks like a squirrel from her vantage point. :7 I used 45# for LL, and that is about as heavy as I can go. Except for those sit-n-stands.
Tracy, Ok I went to the web page and the song that was a hit when I was born was Fingertips (Part II) by Little Stevie Wonder. Can't say that I have ever heard that song. Will have to check it out. I like the sound of the nutritional program also. Of course I feel horrid now that you didn't give me a personal chat ;( ;( ;( Just kidding!! I forget people all the time. Ok the Monday after T-giving is when you are starting hey! XXX is a big accomplishment, and it might be even better this time because I have finally gotten my eating under control and have been losing weight. I'm still thinking about it. ;-) $1600 for a ticket to see a teenager that is only a so-so singer!!!! I'm SHOCKED!!!! Who in their right mind would pay that much. Oh they are not in their right mind! Crazy people.
Debra, Ok I'm all for calling the new guy CB. Too bad the PF Changs didn't live up to the expectations. I have never been there either. Don't even know if we have one in this area. So you carry in your car. :7 :7 It is very rare that someone in that position has a sense of humor. The people they have to deal with all day long can be taxing. One of my best friends works for Social Security, and some of the stories she tells me about people make my jaw drop!
Jeanette, We are looking at getting a laptop for home also. My DH needs the computer portable on weekend, for when he goes to meetings for Faire. Also our computer isn't able to load the Ipod. DH brings home a work laptop. Oh yes Sam Elliot and Tom Selleck are rugged for sure. I love both of those guys. They always play great cowboys. My favorite movies with Val Kilmer where Willow, Batman and Top Gun. I don't enjoy Jim Morrison's music, but Val did a great job in The Doors movie. Some of the critics didn't think so though. Had to smile at you letting your dogs sleep with you. I know one of your dogs is little (and well behaved I'm sure). Cam takes up half our bed! :7 :7 Do you have Veterans Day off? This year the union got Vet's day off, so I get the day off also. I will have to just try out one of the Christi workouts.
Wendy, You description on Baby putting her head on the pillows made me LOL this morning. We now have a special pillow for Cami when she is downstairs. :7 :7 This is the first dog that I have seen that puts her head on a pillow just like a human. :7 I won't get on your case about the other walnut trees. :D My fear is that one day this majestic tree will have to be taken down. We just wanted to make sure that there would be something to take its place one day. Those Rush Hour games look like those old puzzles we used to get where you had little squares that made a picture. I still love playing with those.
Nicole, Have a great time at the zoo! I'll have you know that John Wayne is my favorite actor. I think it is because my Grandfather looked and acted just like him. Plus he made a great cowboy. Oh can you see a theme here. :D I didn't even get a chance to see the chair meeze, so it wasn't me that gave you crud. :7
TG, Well have you gotten over your sugar hangover. :D Those cakes sounded so good. I would have had a hard time resisting too. Today is a new day.
Sandra, Did you manage to get to Old Navy? I need to get myself some pants & hoodie sets too. All my pants have holes in them, and are way out of fashion. :)
Swifty, You must love to cook. I do too. I usually try to make some good meals for the family when I have the day off or on weekends. Chicken Pot pie sounds good, I haven't made that in a while. :9
Guess I was a chatterbox today! Have a good one,
Laurie
Hey, gang!!
Sorry to be MIA this week....it's been rather odd with the time change and I'm still not used to it! I've been eating dinner at 4p, thinking that it's 5p and heading to bed around 7-8, thinking and feeling like it's later.....BUT waking up and staying up around 1-2a for 3 hours!!! I know that the insomnia is due to TTOM that's coming next week!x(
Anyway, This has been a "vet" week as well...Peanut had a check-up and booster shots on Tuesday and the rest of the hoodlums got their check-ups and shots yesterday. Everyone is fine, but Ambush had me worried for a while there. She didn't handle the stress of getting caught, put in a carrier and taken to the vet well AT ALL!! All last night, she wouldn't move around the house, she only laid in one place, wouldn't eat and wouldn't drink! She's my "eat anything, anywhere" cat!!! She was also moving like she was in pain, although I can't imagine what from! Even today, she's moving more, but just slow and methodical like she's hurting and her eyes are HUGE (all pupil). At least she ate this morning, though! I'm still a bit concerned about her, though.
Anyway, I'm totally psyched about the new series, as that's what I've been doing on my own, with a twist. It will be really cool to see Cathe's twist! I've also been looking at Amy Bento's Slo-Mo after you've all be talking about it, but the last thing I need is more workouts right now! I'm glad that Cathe doesn't start filming for another 3 months.....I need to save up the $$$$ for it!
Yesterday was supposed to be weights, but it didn't happen....my brain was on permanenet 'snooze' mode all day!!! I just couldn't wake up! Last night, I got awesome sleep and am bright-eyed and bushy-tailed today!!! I had the most awesome wake-up call as well....a little #4 orange/white kitty purring in my ear!!!:7 Oh, that's right, I forgot to inform you all that Peanut has put on #1.5 lbs in the last 3 weeks!!! He's not a malnourished, dumpster kitty anymore!!! He's loving life and is cute as a button!!!
We've been doing bed linen washing at 11p several nights this week as well. Baby is still not happy about the new addition and is marking the bed as her territory....and of course we don't find it until we start heading to bed (yuck!!!)
Enough about the sad saga of my life and times.....
HUGS!!!:* :* :*
Amy, Good to see that all is well. The way your schedule is the one hour time change can cause havoc. :D Hope Ambush starts to feel better, and back to her normal self.
I was looking at a posting by SNM reguarding the future workouts for cardio. This one question was submitted by our own Sandra. Check it out.
http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=2&topic_id=80720&mesg_id=80720&page=
They have been thinking about these workouts for quite a while.
Round2/Phase3/Week11/Day7/Rest (subbed 60 min of shiva this AM)
Those new Cathe wo's are something to get excited about!!! I can't sort through all the blah, blah blah on the Blog. I'm counting on xers here to keep me up to speed and I'll keep my other eye on BB's production of P90X+ release. ahhh, choices1
/////////////SandraX************ Disappearing PT- I got a bit self-conscious on posting. I'll see about putting that back up just for you;-) Now go and get the soap and water to wash that mark out of your NEW and FUN top. :-( Smiling at you continuing to enjoy the Cathe wo! Plie jacks aren't your favorite? Mine either, but few here and there won't kill ya!:7 Nice job on the new wardrobe ON have such fun clothing. You are a thin gal to fit their styles! DD's class Math teacher requested parents to submit a pie to have the kiddies make a graph using their favorite pie flavors. I signed up to bake one for the 20th. Don't know if I'll get chosen as a pie maker yet. Right, who else is crazy enough to say "pick me, I want to bake a pie?"
NettaX************** Eion IMO is hard to describe, can't say I love him or dis-love him. He's okay to look at - then I've never heard him utter one buttery word. This could be ;-) influential factor. But I do love Val in The Saint, The Doors, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. He's the type who picks his parts and poopoo's mainstream Hollywood pictures. Does DH get jealous easily? You're becoming the hot chick golf man magnet now. ^5 on your allowing the winds to take the leaves where they will. We've been doing same here for several years. I've been going outside 15 min before DD's bus drop her off to rake a few for additional upper body wo. Christi Taylor hmmmmm, never tried her. Sounds interesting.I can only hope Santa/birthday $$ will help buy some new vids to me. I'm broke! Soon to celebrate a B-day, huh? I've got my party hat on:+ Started thinking on any plans to celebrate?
DebraX********************-Brrrr! It was a perfect frosty morning wasn't it? DD looked outside and whispered something about the beautiful snowy effect on the bare trees in the back yard. LOL on your DMV personnel comments. It's refreshing to interact with personalities in a place we don't care to be. I like when that kind of experience happens. I guess this means you plan on becoming a legal long standing resident of the state now. DD's costume is gorgeous and facial expressions are priceless! :p Has she lost her top 2 front teeth yet? I note 2 missing on the bottom? My DD has a top one that is hanging on by a nerve for weeks. Do you let them dangle or pull?
TraciX**********************12 boxes of no pudge? What were you thinking? }( Sugar at a discount? Since cleaning up my eating act 2 months back, I haven't had the dizzies- Due to lack of sugar. But it tastes soooo good. Dd get's exzema which is brought on by high fructose corn syrup. The day after Halloween, she was crying due to a huge exzema spot on her inner thigh. I suggested no more candy with HFCS, she happily agreed and I sent the bag of treats with DH to work. This girl has willpower! The spot has since disappeared. Ha! :7
TracyX*******************The woman going into the woods for a jog is officially crazy.}( I'm happy you got out before dark. LOL on your jiggle comment, this is one reason that keeps me working out. :7 My male cousin was always overweight. 4 yr. ago he had banding done. He is a nurse-with close ties to the medical community, (Stressing finding the "right" doc for the procedure). :) At which time he said he felt great -IMO looked great too. Though I don't keep in close touch with him, last year I saw him he continues to look very healthy and strong. Best of luck to her! BTW what's Blitzkrieg? Are you German?
WendyX***************DH and I got to talking about the holiday and family. He says he isn't interested in spending 4 day/night with bro & wife& child & his Mom and step dad in Philly. ;) He reported his family is "self-centered" he would feel "held like a hostage" should he go to Philly. So, I was right;) :p We have some Think Fun games on the shelf we play. Unfortunately Rush Hour isn't one of them. Do you have "who gnu?" Gamewright is a cool company also. DD is learning to play Rat a TAt Cat. I'm hoping it will enhance her math and concentration skills. She is reading at a 3rd grade level - teacher assigned a high school tutor. They go outside the classroom and read chapter books and discussion. She absolutely loves it! Is Phil off those nasty all night job place now? Dh and I hope to do some snuggling tonight. ;-) DD is having a sleep over at GM's- no school teacher in service tomorrow. I'm blowing off a budget meeting tonight for work. I don't really need to be there. My "boss" is a nit wit I tell you- But I won't start on that rant. }( Will all this extra cargo you're packing cost extra to get on the plane? The lovely laptop case has a lifetime warranty. You get set, ready, go!
LaurieX********************You own My Fair Lady and Breakfast At Tiffany's? Those titles aren't in my vid library -I wish. }( I love "old" movies. Do you bake with the walnuts from the trees? My Grandpa -a real oldtimer- used to sit on the porch at camp and crack open the shell, put all the nut meats in a dish for Grandma to bake soft chewy cookies filled with nuts and topped with sugar icing. MMMMM. Leaner legs sounds like a good one. Don't have it though. (I don't mean to repeat my without - video whining). That Cathe sure knows how to work out the legs. I do have B&G - do you? If so do you prefer one over the other?
NicoleX*********************Take it easy on the back girl and Enjoy dinner at moms. Four days and counting. :) guess one of them will be spent cleaning huh? It is so nice to have the DH away for a little while. :7 Does he bring the game home to eat? If so, do you cook it or does he? Enjoy the zoo! HOnk, Baa, Bleet!
Lea********************** won't these writers get over with the strike yet? Pleeez. x( There was a local teachers strike which ended today following 21 days. Now the kids must attend school before and after the Christmas holiday.:-( Mkaes me want to say communicate people and be happy!:7
Holy cra*************** did I just post all that ^^^^^ I'm feeling your love today lady xers. Hello Carol, TG and others I may have forgot! I got to go. :p Toodles!
Quickie post to say....
Slo Mo Back & Shoulders (as produced - not a mix) FABULOUS WONDERFUL SO GOOD! She does a terrific job of really working upper back so by the time you're done with all the shoulder heads you are fried.... (at least I was!)}( - Sure hope the Chest, Bi Tri is as good!
Great afternoon to all- gotta feed pups & shower :*
Happy Thursday Xers!!
I'm still contemplating today's workout, lol. On my rotation, I'm scheduled for the upper body weight work premix of the 4DS, but it sounds really l-o-n-g. I might just go with HIS instead. We'll see. It'll probably be after dinner, anyway. When is the P90X+ system due out, does anyone know?
Traci-X -- I thought I read "less than 90 days", so I took that to mean Jan/Feb sometime for filming, but who knows with SNM lol. I could start the X after T-giving. That sounds pretty good. I'm only worried with keeping up with it with holiday travels, but I can make it work. I'll ponder it.
Wendy -- Never fear, I'll make it through the X sometime this winter/spring ;-) Tony's calling me...
Sandra -- Blast 9 is my favorite :D For real, lol. I'm an intensity/cardio junkie. My 2nd favorite is blast 6 (the straddle taps). IM2 has a high fun factor for me (yeah, I'm crazy, I know).
Hi to everyone else! I hope you're having a great day!
Carol
Finally getting back for a chat! Everyone seems to be doing well, except for Amy's various crazy kitties, of course! Let's see...I did 4DSBC with my own kind of circuit mix. I did the warm up plus 3 drills, then I did the first round of bis and tris, then back to the next 3 drills, back to bis and tris, etc. It worked out really well for me. I liked breaking up the drills a bit..a good thing for the inherently lazy person I am! Then, went to lunch and shopping with my mom...then off to pick up the dog from the groomer, then off to pick up DD from school and take her to gymnastics...By the way, we have had another critter sighting! We now have turkeys in a field that we drive by every day on the way to and from school. The dog got very excited today when we stopped to gobble at the turkeys. We stop to chat with all of the local animals...It's what we do here in the boondocks. So, now I am finally home in front of my fireplace, and I am getting ready to fix myself a little cocktail! DD has a little homework to do, but she is already finishing dinner, so I think I can relax a bit.
Oh, lookie! The UPS guy just came with my new Seane Corne and Shiva dvds! Just in time for yoga tomorrow!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~personals~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

***Swifty*** Hi there! Yes..DD has actually lost 6 teeth altogether. 2 on top and 4 on the bottom. And when they got to be danglers, I just used a piece of floss underneath and yanked them out. A little blood, but no tears, which is saying a lot about my diva, the drama queen. I am hoping to be in NC for the foreseeable future. I really don't want to move DD again...I'm not going to say never...but I don't see why, now that I am splitting from my nomad-like husband that I would move out of state again. Hope all of the sickies are gone from your house now. You poor things. I bet you guys are not going to be looking forward to Thanksgiving like the rest of us! I imagine that poultry just doesn't sound all that good right now. You are closing in on the finish line of the X! WooHoo!!

***Traci***Thanks for the quick note on SloMo...I can't decide whether to stick with just Cathe for another week, or go ahead and start mixing next week. So glad you liked it! My bday song is "I'm a Believer" by the Monkees, in case you were wondering. I know what you mean about DH's and sex...I think it is an issue in a lot of marriages....I did hear the other day that Russian women are willing to do "anything" and do it all the time. Apparently they are very into pleasing their men (American or not)...Maybe they just need a way to stay warm...LOL!

****Jeanette***I'm with you on not slipping in the X before Cathe's new series! I have decided that I can only take Tony in very small doses...I think he is just too "Look at me!" for my taste. Although, I really like the program he designed. Yes, PF Chang's is Chinese...our server was actually from China..just a coincidence, though. Oh, my gosh...I love Val in Tombstone...I'm not sure if Swifty suggested it, but my favorite of his is "The Saint"...just a great movie! And Val looks phenomenal in it...not that your DH would care about that...but it helps for you. I got a kick out of your comments to Traci about men and sex.

****Wendy*** Your signals got crossed somehow...The yoga instructor was not talking about the crazies...It was the guy from the Social Security office...and he was talking about his co-workers and the customers. Okay...so CB it is...at least for now! No...I don't think Eoin is especially cute...although I do have a video where he is sitting in a sweatshirt looking very relaxed and good. I can just listen to him for hours...and I really like his understated sense of humor. Now, I do think that Bryan Kest is hot...At first I thought the hair was too much...but when he is walking around in those cut off jean shorts, I decided I liked it...LOL!

***Nicole**** Hope you had fun at the zoo...And I am sure you enjoyed dinner with mom. Thank you for all of your sweet words yesterday. XDH thinks I wasn't a good wife for not dropping my entire life and moving to Russia for him. But...what are you gonna do?? But, I did feel abandoned by him...and not a lot of people say it that way...Thank you. Hope your back is feeling better today. When is DH getting home from the woods??

****Laurie***Well, you never know when you are going to need a little nip...LOL! Just kidding! Just leftovers from the game. I agree about the new Cathe series...I think there will be a little more variation than the X. Hope you had a nice rest day. Are you still walking Cami regularly or has it gotten too cold up there already? I was one of the people who paid way too much for Hannah tickets...but I think I got in before the bidding got out of control.

****Sandra*** I am super excited about the new series, too. Hope that is washable marker the toddler wrote on you with. No way have you never heard that song by Bread...don't think it was bread they were making, but go ahead and think what you want...LOL! No..CB is only a few months older than me...just had a DD much younger before he was married...He and his ex actually never had kids. Does that mean when I put my pjs on at 4 pm that I am pretending it is morning or that it is already the next day? Or does it just mean I am lazy? Glad you got a whole wardrobe of sweats from Old Navy...even though the barnacle family was with! Looks like we did the same workout this morning...although I think I made the lazy person's premix.

****Amy***Hope all of your critters are feeling back to their normal perky selves...I had a cat that used to mark his territory...which was usually my shoes....ICK. Glad you are getting on the new time schedule...My mom always has a really hard time with the time change too.

****Carol***Waving as you breeze by on the way to workout!

Also waving to Lea, Teddygirl, and our lost Cheryl! Hope everyone has a great evening. I have to go and help the little germ infested urchins in DD's class read tomorrow morning. I hope I don't catch the creeping crud from their snotty noses. After that I will be doing my new Seane Corne yoga dvd!! And out on a date with CB tomorrow night since DD is spending the night with my mom. I also HAVE to vacuum and mop tomorrow since I think my shoes are beginning to stick to the floor.

ta-ta for now!

Debra

Hi,
Had another busy day at work today. The time just flies. Glad tomorrow is Friday. We are having our annual Family Breakfast on Saturday. I was asked to make a sausage/egg casserole. I won't go into the other yummy entrees that will be on the menu.

Wendy, TTOM already? Another week or less to go for me. I think I saw that Dog Whisperer chihuahua episode too. Did you see the one with the lady that had a pink house, pink furniture, pink rug, dressed like Doris Day? She was out there. I like Cesar Milan and love how he roller blades. I think I'd like to try that sometime, but not with the dogs. I like Harrison Ford as a hunk, but I like Tom Hanks as an actor (not hunk). Funny, all of our particular tastes in things. Your Baby sounds like a character, rolling around on the bed. Our dogs have the exercise routine down, as soon as I turn on the ceiling fan, they are at the door to go outside. You can't fool them with anything.

Anointed, glad it was only a 1# gain. Sometimes I'm surprised about those things myself. Did you get a workout in? Did you get the scoop on Fitness Freak's whereabouts?

Nicole, have a great time at your mom's for dinner. I got a nice surprise from one of the Camp Commanders that was down on the San Diego fires. He got me a neat T-shirt from the fire. I thought of you right away! It has all the different fire names printed on the front of it and some good graphics. Almost all of the inmates and captains are back from the fire. Just a couple still out.

Laurie, I'm really excited about the new workouts too. By the time they come out, I'll be ready to give it my all again. I didn't get to do any investigating on the laptop today, too busy. What kind do you think you will get? I do love Sam Elliot and Tom Selleck. Love Tom in Quigley and both of them in The Sacketts. Love Sam's voice, oh my gosh!!! I'd take those guys any old day over Eoin or Bryan. I'm just a country western girl at heart. That Tom can sure sit a horse well too. DH liked Quigley Down Under so much that he ordered and had a gun made for him just like Quigley's. He's still not shot it yet. We have Monday off for Veterans Day. Glad you have it too.

Sandra, P180X,, :eek: Good Lord, makes me weary just to even think about it. I'm wondering about the pullups myself. Will be interesting to see what she comes up with. LOL re: "Make It With You", by Bread. Hey, that's one of the songs on my Classic Soft Rock hits (Time/Life series of CD's). That one was popular when I was in my Junior year of High School I think, so you must have been born around 1974, 75 or 76. I graduated 1976. Feel old compared to you young women. I like your SJP/SB premix. Why don't I think of those things? I surely haven't been inspired to do any yoga or much cycling lately. I think I have heard of that yoga DVD somewhere. Cyclists get such tight hamstrings. Good advice you gave to Laurie about Christi Taylor. I just really, really like her personality and cueing. I also like Tracey Staehle too. I've got a couple new ones coming from TS.

Amy, sounds like you have been super busy. Hope your Ambush is okay. I worry when my babies aren't feeling well. Wish they could tell us what's wrong.

Swifty, hope you get picked to make a pie. I can probably count the number of times I've made a pie on one hand. Now cakes and cookies...I used to make them regularly. I've never seen The Saint. Now I need to put that one on my queue for Netflix. I'm fortunate that DH doesn't get jealous, never has or admitted it anyway. I always invite him to come to my outings but he's not interested in a new hobby. I would love for him to pick up golf. Think it would be a great thing for us to do. Maybe some day. Birthday party plans, well, it will be on Thanksgiving Day so just spending time with family is enough for me. It really is. Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday and always has been. Hope you can try Christi Taylor sometime. If you have Netflix, maybe you can rent one. I love some of her older songs in her Fab Four, like "Ooga Chucka, Ooga Chucka, ooga ooga ooga chucka... I can't stop this feeling, deep inside of me, girl you've got me...." Takes me back to the 70's! Interesting about your DD's exzema and HFC. Glad you know what clears it up. Will you be able to get a bike ride in this weekend? I'm hoping I can, looks like it may be cooler here and a little wet.

Debra, now that's a picture, hanging front teeth. Some kids like to just wiggle and wiggle them and they are hanging from a thread. "I'm a Believer" by the Monkees was around pre-high school for me I think. I never really got tired of Tony Horton. I like him all right, just was tired of trying to put out 100%. Haven't gotten that enthusiasm since. Enjoy your new yoga DVD's!!! Sticky floors I have also. Will hit those on Saturday I think.

Traci, thanks for the email today. I still don't know what happened with her. Maybe she's just laying low.

Hi Cheryl, Tracy, Carol, Lea and Traci.
