Good morning X-ifieds!
I'm quite impressed with the scope of the next series. Of course I'm buying. No question. I hope there's some new cardio, in some sort of fashion. I don't see how she can offer a complete training regimen, eating included, without cardio options. I am tickled and excited about the software. The bit about being able to put in your 1 rep max and having it calculate the weight you'll use in all the workouts is genius. But I don't know why everyone's concerned they can't do a round of p90x before then. She's not even starting filming before the start of February (90 days from now!), and then it typically takes 3-4months to receive the workouts. Plenty of time to do P180X!!! So, get started
I wonder if there will be pull ups in this series?
Tracy - I did that Eion premix a while back and enjoy it. I like how his premixes incorporate a few new poses to make them a bit different. My cousin just had the gastric by-pass surgery about a month ago. I haven't heard how she's doing, so can't comment. If I hear anything, I'll let you know. I like medium-sized dogs. The kind you can have in your house, but not mistake for a rat, like you said.
Traci - The #1 song on my birthday was "Make it With You" by Bread. ?????????????????. Are they making bread? Never heard of this song or group, I have to say. How come you never got your workout in yesterday? Or do I have to go back and read y-day's posts to find out? Let me guess...you spent too much time reading the blog and related forum threads. Okay, that was me, but I did eventually get to the bus stop to pick up the kids. Do you not have an Old Navy near you? I hauled the whole family off to the store last night (truth: I wanted to go by myself, but they unanimously chose to come along. Barnacles.). For an utterly reasonable price (big sale on everything), I have a brand new winter wardrobe. Woohoo! And yes, it's all sweat pants and hoodies. A couple of long-sleeved t-shirts and tank tops got mixed in there, too. My calves aren't feeling it nearly as badly this week. It's amazing how quickly the body adapts. I don't think you will ever not feel stiffness, given how hard you consistently push yourself. I imagine that's a good thing? As long as the stiffness gets rotated to different body parts all the time. I'm glad you like my cookie idea. If I were closer, I'd make them for you
Debra - So you liked CB's DD, hey? Is he much older than you, to have a college age daughter, or did he have her when he was a young'un? I realize as I approach 40 with my 2 very young children that I could easily have kids entering university soon. Having kids keeps you young, right? And of course, if you live in your pjs, you aren't acknowledging the passing day, and that puts time on hold. Where'd you go this morning? I just read about your day at the SS office. You weren't wearing your pjs, were you?
Jeanette - I like the ts premixes on the HSC dvd. They still feel as effective as the whole workout. LOL about the commodore. The first thing that came to my mind was Lionel Richie's old group. I vaguely remember the Commodore 64. Whatever happened to that company? I saw an ad for a "Yoga for Cyclists" dvd. Are you interested? A great SJP/SB 45min-ish premix is to do the SJP warm up & step, then the SB challenge and stretch.
Wendy - So you're saying it's your fault that I'm 4 days early this month? You don't sound overly excited about the new series. You're too much of a Tony fan, are you? Okay, you buy the new P90X+ workouts and do them. I'm happy to defer that privilege to you.
Teddygirl - Gauntlet for the 2nd time this week? Yup, you've gotten serious!
SwiftAmyX - Ooooh you got the toxic turkey, did you? How miserable that must have felt!! I'm glad you're back in business already. I didn't realize your pic trail link was only going to be offered for a day. Is there any chance you can put it back on so I can take a peek? I wasn't around on Sunday.
Laurie - What a sweet story about Cami yesterday. I don't think I'd have the heart to keep a dog off the bed. My cats always slept on me at night, and I liked that. One would even curl herself up on my pillow at the top of my head. She was my Cat Hat. Kept us all cozy. I'm surprised you didn't buy Eion long ago, based on how much people here rave about him. You won't regret your purchase. Definitely don't be scared of Christi's workouts, just be prepared for a steep learning curve. Her hi/lo really is quite enjoyable, once you get the foot work down. Her step is a hoot, too.
Nicole - You sound like you're taking your workouts cautiously these days, and I think that's great. You've got the kids home for 3 days? What are you going to do with them to pass the time? You aren't going to spend all 3 days at the zoo, are you? Put the chair back. I liked it
Carol - Weren't those plie jacks in blast 9 a lot of fun? Thank heavens there's none of that in the new series!
Oh look at that. Dd's already left a long black pen mark on the sleeve of my new light grey sweater. Why am I surprised?
I did 4DS BootCamp this morning, including the bi's and tri's. It's official: I love the weight work in this series. I really enjoy the cardio, too. It's all good.
Have a great day!
