Xers; Thin or Thorny? Thursday

Traci: What did I miss? No dairy? No egg white omelettes? Have you gone raw too? I don't re-buy giveaways. I'm too lazy to mail my give-aways away. And, nobody wants my giveaways.

ANYONE WANT BARRY'S BOOTCAMP? DENISE AUSTIN? BILLY BLANKS or is it BANKS? Anyone?

Sandra: LOL on your mother's state of mind! Did you tell her no prescriptions were required?}( Well, Phuket, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai are not malaria zones. However, they do need to consider some deet to protect themselves from mosquitoes harboring dengue fever. It's very painful, possibly fatal, and requires a long hospital stay. I do envy them and their 5,000 sq ft hotel room! I'll try to play mid-class tourist in little spurts during my stay. As Anthony Bourdain would say, "Be a traveler not a tourist." What a bunch of crap! I bet he never had to sleep under a 4 person mosquito net with his mother and 10 year old child who is known to kick and sleep walk! Or have vendors try to peddle BBQ rat to him? Well, maybe the rat part did happen. Depending on the doctor or aerial map, the malaria zone covers the entire country. Maybe during the monsoon season; but, generally that's hogwash. It's mainly limited to the jungles (little villages) bordering Burma and Cambodia. Unfortunately, I'll be in our little family village, next to ancient Khmer ruins, located near Cambodia for at least a few nights. We might go to the Angkor Wat in Cambodia. I might be out after dark. I might get malaria and have to drop out of the X. See, I always try to look at the positives. I truly am the LAZIEST Xer!!!! }( ;)

Okay, gotta go to Super Walmart.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Wow, twice in one day!

Sandra- I have been enjoying the cardio in Cathe's new series, as well as HIIT on my elliptical still.

Sandra: Yep! Tony it is:) For the life of me, I have never done Imax 3, that just doesn’t sound right. Wait, now that I think about it, I've done Imax 3 once. I am so afraid of this workout, its ridiculous x( and here I thought I was bad;( Woman you sure are busy these day, I know, you like being busy, dontcha. Have a great busy day:p

Tracey: I thought you already knew, you are my adopted sister, ask Teddy:p Your dinner sounds like a good plan to me, what!!! My sister Carolyn is giving me a turkey found that out today, but now I’m having second thoughts about cooking one. So much to do this weekend mainly cleaning, going to lock myself up and throw away the key. I have more important things to do like hm....oh yeah, working out:) Sweatfest doesn’t even come closes to Core Syn. Wait a sec, before you hit me, are you talking about Tracy’s sweatfest? then, doesn't come closes. Anyhoo, why come you can’t do CS does that workout bother your RC or you just don’t care for it? Me, I love that workout that’s one I’ll be keeping on rotation, it works your body in such a unique way.

As my dude Arnold would say, I'll be back :+ :+

Happy Thursday Xers!!

Busy day today (Thursdays are around here), but I'll be doing the 4DS bootcamp/kb cardio premix later on.

Traci-X -- Thanks for the tips about eating :) My eating has been mostly good this past month, but it'll definitely be more of a challenge in December.

Wendy -- I hope you're able to sleep on the plane!! The last time I had a long flight (and overnight, too) I couldn't sleep a wink, and boy was I tired! LOL at your DS. I'm glad your parenting came in handy ;-)

Amy -- I always get a lot of DOMS in my lats from good KB workouts, too :) I know I worked hard that way ;-)

Hi to everyone else!! I hope you all have a great day!

Carol

Hi all,

It's not a thin nor thorny day for me, but it is a fat day. I'm sure the legs and butt are holding water from the heavy leg work; it's just hard to get past and a good thing I don't do the scale.

Traci - I don't know how you get enough protein with the limited sources that you have. I eat fish 4-5 nights a week and something that walks once or twice. The fish is so expensive though. Do you want the CCabs back? I'll send it back, it is no problem. Can you do DM without the cardio and add on the Bosu blast from Amy for a core syn sub? Oopps, you don't have the Hi/Lo bosu dvd. What about LIC (the one from the last series) all but the cardio, plus DM no cardio? Don't mind me, I'm just thinking of things I haven't done in a while.

Jeanette - Did I miss somewhere that you strained the quad/groin?

Debra - I've often thought about the pros and cons of divorce and decided that if it happens to me, I won't be getting remarried. The main pro to not having a DH for me would be, not having to take the blame for someone else's emotional issues. Can you tell that I have contemplated the big D?

Wendy - Get your mind out of the gutter! You didn't like BBC? I have considered it, but then held off because of my extreme pickiness and wasting $$.

TG - I haven't done B&G for a while. I do enjoy that leg blast premix. Sounds like Ted is a keeper.

Laurie - Are you going to give us a final yeah or nay on the rotation that you have been so persistently doing?

Carol - Glad you stopped by. Is everyone well?

Where is Nicole today? I thought hubby was back at work.

Off to finish dinner.

Tracy

My internet is being persnickity so I have to make this fast.

I did yoga today and it felt good. I have to spend some time this week going over my P90X game plan. I think looking at the manual will help me decide which rotation I want to do.

Laurie, I can't believe you're going for XXX status! I'll be scared to type that out. Glad you're going to join the fun:) I'm glad your DD had discovered reading. My oldest son just loves to read and it really helps with his vocabulary. I guess it's use it or lose it for me. I need to squeeze more time in for reading. How did Cami like the doggy daycare?

Traci-X, I thought you were going to do yoga only every other day. I figured you'd sneak out of it. My BFF just informed me that the Lean has CS every week and I'm kind of nervous about that but I might be happy with the results. Remember, I lost 7 lbs. in a week so five will be easy:D How is your business going? I bet it gets a little slow around the holidays.

Swifty, What a fun active couple your friends look like. The pictures of NZ are beautiful! Makes me want to go on a trip:) How's it feel to know you have only one more week? Is this XX or XXX?

Tracy, I'm having trouble with my computer too. Maybe it wasn't in the cards for me to be on it all day:p How's work going? How was your rest day? We were posting at the same time:p

Amy, Tell your YDB congrats! Is it their first? Glad you were able to get DOMS. I can't believe you weren't getting it before with all of the heavy lifting. Good to see you!

Teddygirl, Woohoo! Way to recruit Teddy:D:D Won't it be nice to have a partner instead of a distraction? Glad the surround sound made Cathe feel live and in person:)

Jeanette, All this 4DS talk makes me want to do it. I think I'm going to Try it next week before I start the X. DH and I have been married almost ten years. Time flies! LOL! Leave it to Wendy to live vicariously through you and force you to shop. She tried that one on me once and I was almost convinced I desperately needed new workout attire:) I resisted though and bought Cathe DVD's instead. You'll be the cutest young woman on the course! I'm so glad you are going to do the X with us. I think this is the biggest group yet!

Debra, Sorry this divorce thing is going to take so long. I'm sure you just want it over with. It sounds like your Mexican food was yummy last night. I haven't had a chimichanga in years. How nice to have a guy to hike with. It was nice hiking with my DH n vacation too.It sounds like your CB knows how to treat a lady. Have fun and enjoy it. What does your DD think of him? I like your pros and cons list. I'd have to add sex to the pros list but that's because my DH was gone too long:D I am with you on the not having to cook though. That was the one nice thing was that I could cook so healthy with him gone. Now I have to do 1/2 way healthy:p

Wendy, How was power yoga? How did Jenn do? I wish I could join you but the 2500 mile journey would take too long:D LOL! DS's comment was too funny:D:D I just hope my boys can benefit the same way when they grow up:) Have fun refocusing at class!

Sandra, I love IMAX 3 too but am remiss to pull it out. I love the music! I was laughing about your comment on Wendell because I think the same thing when I see big bellies now:) What would we do without Dr. Oz? Have fun at Jump & Pump!

Carol, Glad to see you pop in today. Everything ok in DVD remote land? Did you have fun with 4DS? Are you close enough to Wendy to go to classes with her and Jenn? That would be a nice break for you.

Yeah, I'm all caught up!!

Have a good night all,

Nicole

Good Evening Ladies,

I couldn't join Jenn for the 5:30 class. Rte 202 was shut down for an accident and investigation during freaking rush hour!!!! Must have been a bad accident. It took me almost 2 hours to get there. For reference, it took me 30 minutes to drive home with a stop at Dunkin Doughnuts. I ended up chatting with the receptionist, buying a Baron Baptiste Live dvd, eating a Luna Bar, and taking the Basic Flow class at 7:30 with my soon to be fave, I hope gay, instructor.

I did talk to Jen while stuck in traffic on the cell phone and after her class ended.

As for yoga class. Well, I don't know if he was easy on us or if I didn't push myself hard enough. Maybe, it was a combination of both? I didn't nearly sweat as much as I normally do. That could be another reason why it seemed easier. Maybe, they can't heat the place up like they do in the warmer months. I was surprised and a bit disappointed that the instructor didn't feel the need to correct any of my poses. I KNOW I'm not perfect. Perhaps, he sensed that I was TIRED.

I'm off to wash up, and preview Baron in bed.:D I'll catch up on personals in the morning.

Sweet Dreams!
Wendy

Okay...I am finally back...What a day...I have been feeling a little puny..I am not sure if it is allergies or what...but I slept for 2 hours this morning...UGH...Then out for a couple of errands then off for dream-catcher land...then to gymnastics...then I did Eoin's quickie...then out to dinner with a friend...and now finally home with the fireplace on! I hate that I only had time for a quickie....but I may just go ahead and do a full yoga tomorrow and then back to 4DS on Saturday. I got all my new yoga dvds today...plus I also ordered a book called "Yoga Anatomy" so I will let you know how that is. I have an offer for anyone who does not have the Eoin PY4H...I had to get a new dvd set since my second dvd broke...so I have an extra first dvd from the set...It has the 30 minute quickie, the 40 minute daily bliss, and the Magically Hips workouts....If anyone needs this until you can afford the whole thing, I would be happy to send it to you free of charge. I would hate Eoin to go to waste! Let me know if any of you are
interested.

I have to read with the little germ infested urchins in the morning...then DD is spending the night with my mom tomorrow night. I don't have any plans with CB, so I may just go to a movie...and see something I like, for once! I also have to take my kitty to the vet again tomorrow since her bowels are still not performing as they should. Nice, hunh?

~~~~personals~~~~
````Jeanette``` I am lucky that at this point I am able to participate with DD's class...I am sure that will end soon enough! I won't have a lot of time after I start school to be there for her, so I want to take the opportunity now to be there. LOL about your kids not being in prison...At least you did something right!!

```TG````You were absolutely gushing about Ted today...I think you may have a thing for him...Just a thought...LOL!
```Laurie```I bet Cami is sleeping really well tonight! Whenever Polly gets back from the kennel she sleeps for 2 days since she has been running around with all of the other dogs! I am sure she had a marvelous time. My XDH was always gone a lot even before he went to Russia, so I know how it is to have a spouse that is not home at regular hours. Did you get the new Cathe's? That would certainly fill up the next 10 days. Congrats on finishing your last program!

```Sandra```Glad you enjoyed Imax3...I haven't done that one enough to make it a fave. I do love Imax2 though! Sounds like you have a busy weekend trying to catch up with being mom of the year...I am sure I will not do anything close to as much with my DD this weekend! I will probably not have any more kids with anyone...no matter how perfect they are. I had a couple of miscarriages and an incredibly tough pregnancy with DD...in fact, I almost lost her at 28 weeks and was on complete bed rest for another 6 weeks (mostly in the hospital) and I still had an emergency cesarean at 34 weeks...and DD was in the hospital for 2 weeks...so more kids for me would not be pretty since I am going to be 41 in January! I am sure you got more than you bargained for with that question...LOL! Let me know if there is anything else you need for me to eat in your behalf...I will be happy to oblige. So funny about the SAS manual...I thought it may be "Sex After Sunrise"!
```Traci```Hope you started that workout on time!

```Tracy```Thanks for the laugh about taking the blame for other's emotional issues...I am sure that I have the same pro...But you made me laugh!! I really don't think I want to get remarried either...My mom has this saying..."I have washed my last pair of fruit of the looms" and I kind of feel that way too...and I am sure this sounds incredibly materialistic, but I would lose my alimony settlement if I remarried...and I won't be able to realistically support myself and DD for a while. Sorry your legs are feeling a bit of water retention...I am sure it will dissipate in a day or so.
```Nicole```Who did you do yoga with today? Did you get some nectar...or look at Bryan's legs...or flow with Shiva? DD likes CB a lot, actually. He is really good with her. I like him a lot too..keep reminding me it is good to be independent! Sex on the pro/con list...hmmmm...not sure about that one...I am sure that is not a good thing...Hence the reason everyone's list is different!

```Wendy``` I am sure that the basic flow class was just supposed to be easier than he power yoga one you took before. Sorry about all of the traffic...Yuck. I got a kick out of hearing DS's comments...You are hard line! Are you one of those mothers who yell at their kids at the grocery store?? Have no fear, if I thought you over stepped your bounds, I would be right there to set you straight! XDH wasn't home often to take out the trash before, but it was nice to know that on the weeks he was home I didn't have to do it.
Waving to all who I caught up with earlier today...Swifty, Amy and Carol. Lea...hoping all is well with your world. see you all late morning...since I will be with all the kiddos in the morning!
Good evening,
Hoping to make this somewhat short so I can go sit with DH and watch some TV. Had a super busy day at work today. Time just flies. Wanted to get a walk in but saw a girlfriend and spent the time talking with her instead. Oh well, it was time enjoyed.
Anointed, you crack me up about Ted's talking. I know what you mean. My DH will sometimes be wise cracking about something right when I'm trying to listen to something on the TV. Makes me grumpy when I miss what was said because he's blabbing nonsensically. Hope Ted starts with us too. Can't wait to see a picture of him sometime. He sounds very handsome! Bet you two are a fine looking couple! He's got looks and can cook!!! What a catch he is. Plus he's smart. Lucky you!
Sandra, Imax3? I don't even own that one as it has always scared me. I dislike impact anymore, do as little as possible. Glad you liked it though. Cuddle that little one. They grow up fast. Our DS was never very cuddle, very rough and tumble, but he's pretty affectionate to his old mom and pop now that he's 26. Couldn't ask for a better son. He's been in Boise all week for some lineman training. Should be returning back to Reno tomorrow. I pray he's safe driving back. I'm going to do Lean Rotation and with plenty of subbing. You probably won't even recognize it as anything to do with P90X by the time I get done. Talk about bad mother, when DS was little, I'd be watching TV and he'd take his little hand and turn my face away from the TV so I'd look at him when he was talking to me. Of course my eyes were still watching the TV. Bad mama. Jump and Pump should be fun, huh? My stability ball is a little too big (and has bumps on it), but 18" might be a little too small. Well, at least I wouldn't have far to fall during the pikes.
Laurie, so Cami never looked back at you? Bet she's one tired pup tonite. Bet the furniture looks great. Can you describe it? We are so bad, our dogs get up on our furniture. That's why I got leather in the living room, for them. What a life they live. My DH's belly is from beer. He's cut back quite a bit, and I can tell it's gotten smaller. How come my gut is showing and I don't drink beer? Don't be afraid of the 2 new step workouts. They are really fun, the better I know them, the more I like them. You can do it (in Arnold voice)!!! Do we get your ending stats tomorrow? Glad your DD is enjoying reading. I used to read like crazy as a kid. Now I only read comic books, just kidding. About all I read is the internet. Sad, huh? Just don't make the time. Of course, I could go borrow some steamy soft porn from Grandma. Sure she'd love to lend some books out.
Wendy, isn't that something when the kids finally appreciate what we tried to teach and instill in them when they were younger? Okay, okay, I'll have to be patient and wait for those pictures of the kitchen. I know some day I'll get that HIS 3rd combo. I'm just off somewhere and too lazy to stop the DVD to slow mo it. Details, details. I've gotten over trying to be perfect in my step routines. Who the heck cares anyway? Malaria, now that would be the most creative excuse I've heard for dropping out of the X. Glad you got some yoga in tonite. I like Luna bars. The Chai Tea one is good too.
Tracy, yep, I strained my inner thigh during my golf lesson on Monday. I must have done it while following thru on my swing. It's much better today. I'd probably get hurt playing ping pong too. I probably would get married again. I've been pretty content for the last 9-10 years now. Before that, don't even want to go there...
Nicole, good to see you on here. Sorry about your computer problems. Yep, think you should try some of 4DS. I need to do some KB and BC again. Have only done those once. The step definitely has some different moves that we normally don't see on previous Cathe step DVD's. I checked out some golf shoes on Zappos but not sure about the cleats. Don't think I should get the metal cleats as they aren't allowed on some courses. Got to do some more research. You won't be seeing any short golf skirts on these legs. Usually, I have a bikers tan anyway so my shorts have to be longer as I have the mid-thigh tan. Very attractive...yup. Wendy hasn't tried too hard to enable me lately. She did win on the CC though, and a darned good recipe it was. I really, really love your new Meez. It makes me feel good.
Debra, sorry you are feeling a little punky. My stomach is finally feeling better and not so bloated and "blah". I've not had much, if any Splenda all week and have cut down on the coffee. Right now, it feels hungry, which is a better feeling than "blah". What an ordeal you went thru with your DD while you were pregnant! At 41, I could not imagine being pregnant again. Our DS was already graduated from HS when I was 40. LOL re: SAS!
Must move on and get some reading done. See all you ladies tomorrow.
Jeanette
