Cathlete
Morning Gang- Its so nice having all the day of the week words you all provided! All stress in life is now gone!:7

Today is Slo Mo Chest Tricep Bicep + either cardio or more yoga- really should be a cardio - will see what I'm in the mood for. :+

Back with personals!:*

Personals:

:eek: TRACY
I had to LOl at Cathes response to you yesterday... I guess there was not going to be any trade secrets given out! She obviously didnt know the knowledge level of the author! Oh well- ya tried!

:eek: NICOLE
So sorry to hear about DS and you also missing festival! I'm happy it wasnt more serious as being 2 hrs away myst be torture when a little one is sick. Regardless of health DH will be very happy to be back home and if you are sick he can nurse you back to health;-) ~~ Did you see the OD Thread about Primarily Yoga? Its pretty good...funny how "guilty" people feel doing that... we are indeed a brainwashed society- I want the days of "If It Feels Good Do It" back! LOL ~ Your head seems to be in a very good place these days. I am very happy for you- with your history I'm sure you scare yourself when you get overly crazed about a few pounds or missed w/o's. Its a balance for all of us- I think you are blessed to know its an "issue" - many dont.

:eek: Amy(swifty) YOU CAN DO IT!! GO AMY GO!!!!
This is the mental part of X Amy!!! You have been here before so you KNOW you can do it!!! Do your big countdown!!! "Only 1 more day of ___" YOU CAN DO IT!!! ~~~~Glad your DD is also feeling better lastt night. You moms should be paid for 10 FT jobs! I always feel about cooking as you do- its the one place my creativity energy can go free- I miss the days of cooking with ALL foods/ingredients - ya know... all the fats & sugars! ;-) Well since your floor is mopped its only fair you come help with mine... I have 2 rooms to carpet clean as well this morning...doesnt that sound exciting? :)

:eek: JEANETTE
I too am EXCITED about the Tracey Parts shipping!!! ANYTHING that adds variety and results!!! I'll be curious to see how I can enhance (if possible) my next X round with 4DS/SloMo/The Parts.... YOU KNOW I cant "just" do Tony! ~ You are right on about how I workout... I spent so many years spinning my wheels that once Tony taught me how to work hard in a short period of time -I GOT IT! If you take out stretches & warmups all of X lifting is about 35-40 minutes & that includes muscle recovery! Shoot even I can do that! LOL- My real challenge still comes from getting past the Dont wanna start.. The JUST Push Play and see how ya feel... Sandra & Tracy are great about that- not me...If I dont wanna -I'm not! LOL ~~ Interesting about our parents generation of never letting things go... I have always felt that my dads life was (is) less wonderful because of all he chooses he must hold on to. For him its his catholic backround and the " suffering" beliefs that the church has always preached... at least I think they still do... at any rate- I found a different set of beliefs that I "think" have served me better.

:eek: WENDY
Hi & Bye Girl!!! MISS YOU ALREADY!!!! :* The bird pics are AMAZING!!! Reminded me of the Hitchcock film! ~ My "sorenes/stiffness" was so intense yesterday that honestly until mid day I couldnt tell ya if it were the good/bad! Isnt that CRAZY! I did loosen up and found that under all the stiffness & old age kinks was some serious DOMS from Slo Mo! My upper back has NEVER been worked that well before- I was pleased because her moves require constant focus on retractions to hit the intended muscle group- I wasnt sure I had kept that retraction throughout- GUESS I DID!!! ZIPPITY! I love when I get it right! ~ On Cathe & "limits" - Good heavens I have them too unless I want to be in CC debt forever! Based on her chat yesterday I got sad because it seems like she'll still be producing all the Mini-series stuff & a la cartes- I already can tell you that I cant get EVERYTHING unless I charge it and I'm really afraid to start down that path unless I have a business that is booming enough to support my habit! I'm not good at depriving myuself of what I want- isnt that the definition of addiction?

:eek: DEBRA
Did you & CB have a WONDERFUL makeup date? No sweetie- dating IS NOT for sissies! ESPECIALLY if the 2 have different "intentions"! I'm sure CB is ready for the walk down the proverbial isle! You are quite the catch! ~I really like the latest Eoin thought...I think you should give us one a day... It really is very deep when yo think on it for awhile...Look at how our lives get out of whack like that too- I loved the book The Power of Now -Maybe its time I re-read that one... ITA about Cathe & her professional level and creativity. She isnt just a good instructor- she is truly using her gift in life. I sent her a card once about a year ago (right after we got series after the injury)telling her exactly that... I used my "real" name & didnt reference anything to boards because I really didnt want a reply... When I mailed it I just prayed she would get it on a day she "needed" validation of what she does. ~ Thanks for feeling the love for the world yesterday - that group hug was WONDERFUL! ~ You asked the question of the century!!! Sex or Fishing?!!! I SWEAR I'm aasking that hypothetical on Sunday when he returns from bay...maybe thats the problem- he is use to getting BOTH! LOLOL Lets make him pick!!!

:eek: TeddyGirl
ZIPPITY on the battery score! Your financial angels are certainly hanging out with you this weekend! ITA about car payments...dont like them - never have!

:eek: LEA
Thanks for pit-stopping!!! I figured you were nursing sick men back to health- PLEASE take care of YOU!!!! Hope Eoin helped you sleep deeply!

:eek: SANDRA
GREAT combo yesterday! Were you surprised by your calorie burn? The talk on boards seemed to be for the first week- I guess I just never understood- for me any new workout burns less calories just because you're learning but once you get the steps- BANG! I got the impression (not from you) that people were surprised that a 30 min cal burn was less than a 60 min... Even this HS Grad can do the math... LOL~Oh well- I guess I choose other weird things to stress about eh? PUMP & JUMP= A BLAST!!! OMG that sounds just too fun!~ LOL on American Paraphanalia- I'm with you! I look in wonder at most of it! Where do people actually put all this stuff? LOL My DH has t-shirts from 45 years worth of concerts because he just HAS to have one... Some of the groups he cant even re-call what they sang but we gotta have SIX dresser drawers filled to capacity with T-shirts!

:eek: Laurie :*
CONGRATS on sticking to your LGI8!!! Isee you are just about done now... ^^^^^^^5 for your Stick-To-It-Ness!
LOl on rating ga-ga level of 4DS! Other than X I dont think I have ever rated anything above a "I can do this" LOL... I rated 4DS high because its SHORTER! LOL ~ Did you catch the Osmonds on Oprah yesterday? OMG I cried & cried. I thought about you and your GF! ~ On X+ cost... I imagine they will be sold as a package- I think you can (or use to ) be able to buy X a la carte- probably 20 bucks a pop- I'm guessing 5 DVDs (is that right) for 49.99 lets take a poll!LOL I gotta SAVE PEOPLE!

OK you LOVE-ER-LY ladies- I am off to workout before I clean the carpet in w/o room - Hugs to all & I shall check in once carpet dries! :7

Good morning,

Could have easily stayed in bed this morning, but then won't be able to fit the workout out in later, so dragged my sorry butt out of the warm blankets. So here I sit, bleary eyed, tired, and thinking, "THIS is the day Traci has to crow about my policy of Pushing Play, no matter what?" Why can't we just forget about that for today? Hm? I have Drill Max on tap for today. It seemed like a good idea when I planned it a week ago. What can I do instead? I want a total body weight touch-up, and some cardio. Fun cardio. In about an hour. Don't say "Gauntlet"!!!

Tracy - I agree with Traci; I don't think you got your question answered, did you? Oh well. I think you're right. The sequence of her workouts is as key as the workouts themselves.

Traci - Keep in mind that it requires extra creativity to cook without sugar and fat. Heck, I can add a slice of bacon to anything and it will taste wonderful. Effective, but not healthy or creative. I wouldn't worry too much about the credit issues and Cathe's workouts. She averages one new set of workouts a year, max, despite her best intentions otherwise. The only time she's put out more was when she filmed the "Total" beginner series without telling anyone! Frankly, I'd be happy if she used that approach all the time: don't tell us until they're already in the can. I wasn't surprised about my calorie burn yesterday because I've been using my HRM for a few months now, and have learned a valuable lesson: the calorie burn for a 60 min workout does not change much, regardless of the amount of impact in the workout. The only thing a high intensity cardio workout does is train the cv system to work better, (and strengthen the legs, from plyo moves). It does not burn a significantly larger amount of calories. Ergo, I can stick with the workouts I enjoy the best, and toss in a high intensity workout periodically for the training benefits. According to my hrm, a 30 min cardio, for me, will burn about 300 cals. 60 mins = 600 cals. There's variation, of course, but not huge differences.

Wendy - Ooooh, love the bird/tree pictures!! That's in your backyard? What's this? You're jetting off for the weekend? Since when are you allowed to leave without telling us where you're going?! Have a great time! I want full accountability when you return.

Teddygirl - Hey, what a nice surprise you got yesterday. Yay!

Lea - Thanks for saying hello yesterday. I hope you feel better soon.

Nicole - That's a huge step in your personal growth. I'm so happy you're becoming more settled with your self. Quick, journal it, so you can remind yourself of this nice place when the siren song starts to play again. No, we didn't get snow yesterday, despite flurries in the forcast. It was cold, though. A northern wind that just wouldn't leave us alone. Brrrrr. I love that you have a friend who will do yoga with you. Where do you all find these people?! I have to force my children to exercise with me, if I want any company! Oh, dear, I'm sorry DS is ill. I hope he's all better today. My 7 year old DD is asserting her independence these days, too, and I'm starting to miss her. Makes me run to DD#2 for more cuddles. Try to cram them all in before she hits 7, too. Or, as you and Swift Amy do, wait for them to get sick and cry for Mommy.

Swift Amy - Ooooh, I LOVE those sick cuddle times. I hope she's all better today, though. Can't stand to hear a child cough all night long.

Debra - Oh, do you have Shiva's dvd that is 3 core workouts, about 35 mins long in total? I love that one. The first one is just taken from the Fluid Power dvd, but the other 2 are original. When yo do all 3 together, they all work your core differently, and it feels great by the end. Huh. A tiff with CB? Oh dear. So soon? Don't break up with him, please, we all like him.

Well, I've been up for an hour, the coffee cup is empty, I've had my Extreme Green Smoothie, and I've listened to a randomized shuffle of my favourite music on my Ipod Nano. I feel much more awake, and ready to face Drill Max. Or something. Have a great day!!!

Sandra

Sandra!!:eek: :eek:
Thank you for visiting early today! That means I have 1 personal to do as an added carpet cleaning/moppong procrastination tool!}(

I have just had the last sip of a 16oz green drink myself! I needed to feel healthy before breathing carpet cleaner fumes! Mine was made as follows: (I'm REALLY trying to kill time arent I?)
Juicer: Cucumber, Dandelion Greens, baby Spinach, 2 red apples, 1/2 lemon
Poured into blender add 2 ripe bananas & ice.... PRESTO!!!! A FABULOUS high energy all natural drink! Drats- I just remembered I forgot to add my flax- :+

OK- So I have also found that my calorie burn hardly differed based on intensity...WTH? I suppose that means that when we are in recovery mode we are REALLY taking it easy???? Do you think thats how its suppose to be? I always felt cheated after doing an Imax and burning same calories per minute as a RS.... hmmmmmmmm

As far as Pushing Play...oh Sandra you KNOW thats NEVER an issue for you! Mental toughness must be what got you thru all your tough higher education...maybe thats it- You & Tracy both have impressive higher degrees....Thats the exact part of the brain that I dont think fnctions at full speed in me...See there. barely has the day started and you have solved my most burning life issue! :*

OK- Gotta get started on cleaning.... Hugs to all

Hi all,

I agree, I did not get an answer to my question on OD:)

Yesterday was BC07 or whatever acyronym we are using, and BC cardio leg premix, Slo mo bi & tri, and 20 minutes of yoga. I had to cut the yoga short because I had a twinge in my shoulder from the bi work. I wasn't happy with that, or the exercises in general. Overall, I think I'll have to be really careful with Slo-mo to avoid injury. Maybe I'm just not in a good mood, but BC07 cardio doesn't do it for me either. That is the second time I've done it. Since I run regularly, the running drills just a joke as far as cardio is concerned. I don't think it is nearly as hard as the original BC cardio/leg premix.

I need to do some cooking today. I come home from work everyday and eat a serving of tortilla chips because there is nothing else here to eat. I've got to stop that and make something nutritious.

I'm not sure what I'm doing today. It will either be S&H legs or cardio and I'll do the legs tomorrow. Next week I'm going back to either GS or the new upper workouts for upper body.

Traci - I hope you read this before starting that Slo-mo bicep work. Be careful with your shoulder. I definitely have more perseverance after completing the Dr. If you don't have it, you will never finish that process. I liken it to jumping through endless, mostly irrelevant hoops.

Sandra - Speaking of dissertations, any news on yours? I vote for the Gauntlet. I love that one. According to my eliptical, I only burn about 400 calories in an hour. I guess I should get a HRM, I'm too cheap.

I have to go back and catch up from yesterday. I skimmed the posts yesterday while I was observing a disruptive student. That's when I caught the OD.

Tracy

Drill Max is done!! And it felt fantastic. I love that workout, I really do. I have to plug my nose and swallow the first two cardios, but after that, it's just fun, fun, fun. I feel energized and refreshed.

Traci **** I'm glad I helped you procrastinate earlier. I hope you finally got down to business, though. I'll come back later to respond to all the chitter chatter. I enjoy your chitter chatter so much. Thanks for being you.

Tracy **** I'm not sure my HRM doesn't overestimate my calorie burn. Also keep in mind that I've got probably 20 - 25lbs on you, so I supposedly burn more cals during exercise. Thankfully I don't do the "I can eat 851 calories of chips because I just burned off 851 calories doing Drill Max" rigamaroll.

Okay, time to hit the shower, take DD#1 to Michael's for her weekly craft, then DD#2 to the ymca for her dance lesson, then home to tidy up DD#1's room (she will help) in time for her rescheduled sleepover. And hopefully there will still be a copy of Ratatouille in the video store for the kids to watch tonight.

Cheers,
Sandra

Round2/Phase3/Week12/Day2/PlyoX complete

:) What shinanigans are you all up today? Surprise! I jumped on the scale this AM and saw 4# and wondered what the heck? 2 hours later another surprise, TTOM arrives. Ahhh, now I can rest knowing it's only temporary bloat.:-(

Uh Oh, DD ran past me toward the bathroom. She is super sick. temp of 102 since 12:30 A and has been sleeping on and off all day so far. Poor little thing has the flu .:-(

Tracy, is that your son mid air? Very cool!}(

Sandra, ^5 on Drill max completion! Have a wonderful SAturday with your crafty and dancing girls!:)

Thank you Traci for the words of encouragement. :7 Is it warm enough outside to open the windows to let the cleaning agent fumes out?

Hmmmm, I best go check on the situation here. Enjoy the start of weekend everyone!:7

Afternoon:)

Quick check in. This morning I did an hour jog getting ready to do B&G. I'll check back after I done.

Hey gang. 80 minutes of Eion done. What a lovely feeling. I lost my voice today(this is day 2) so I was hoping all the breathing and yoga would help clear it. So now I go and lay down on the couch and watch a movie while the DH takes the boys out for the day. YAY!

Tomorrow I might try Bryan Kest yoga. After I get my yoga fill in, then I will start incorporating weights and cardio back in. But yoga just feels soooo good.

All right, off to make my green smoothie(like Traci) and watch a movie. Have a great day. Oh yeah, Tracy, I love your avatar too. How cool is that if that is your DS.

Have a great day.

Lea

Hey Gang

I just finished B&G me done for today. Ted just called and said he invited his friend Keith over for dinner, I need to do some cleaning not much but something.

I was up super early this morning, ran out to New & Company my sister told me Yesterday Parma Town have the blouse I wanted. I had to get it I ended up getting 2 pair of pants and 3 blouses then ran out the store, only spent $136.00. I came home too do part II of my workout. I stink stink NEED to go bubble:p back later

BootCamp original

Loaded Oats for breakfast

Hey girls,

Today is the big day! DH will be arriving at 9:30 tonight:):) I have a bit of a scratchy throat which I'm bummed about but I hope it won't hinder my warm welcome;)

DS is not throwing up anymore but he is really tired. I'm sure by tomorrow he'll be 100% again.

Traci-X, you're right about people feeling guilty doig primarily yoga. I think it's catching on though and soon everyone will be doing it more. Dr. Oz is really influencing it's progression too, I think. It is nice to finally feel balance, even if it's temporary. DH will be happy that I'm chipper and at peace with myself. Maybe it's his absence that has helped me see the light:) Don't have too much fun cleaning that carpet. I have all hardwood floors so I get to sweep all of the time:p I would say the green drink sounds yummy, but then I'd be lying;)

Sandra, I'm glad you reminded me to journal my feelings right now. It is not too often, maybe never, that I've felt this way, so I'll take it! Glad you enjoyed DM today? That is a tough workout as produced! It is a bit chilly here too. I had to bust out the little space heaters. There doing the job for now but I think a fire is in the cards for later:D I am going to enjoy the snuggles while I can. I still cry for my mom when I'm really sick so I figure I'm set every now and again for cuddling from my boys:) Have fun running around with the girls!

Tracy, Sorry you didn't get the answer you were hoping for from Cathe. I'm sure she has a secret that she doesn't want to divulge. I like the new avatar. Is that your son? It's a neat picture. I have a few of my DH like that except he's on a motorcycle. I liked the original BC this morning. The cardio gets in and out and your huffing and puffing:)

Swifty, Whew, that was a close one. Hey, at least you didn't have a 7 lb. bloat:) I lost mine in a week so 4 lbs. will be a breeze:D

Teddygirl, Glad you got the jog in. I bet that felt good:)

Off to care for DS#1. I really need to clean too:p

Nicole

Hello, dear ladies...Finally here for a bit of a chat. DD just ran out the door to play with the fundamentalist neighbors....Never know where that will lead...LOL! Anyway, today is a rest day for me which is a good thing since I took a nap this afternoon that I just couldn't wake up from...just feeling a little tired today. I think my body is trying to fight off a cold...also had a few tummy issues this morning. I think I may have had a tainted shrimp last night. CB and I went to Bonefish Grill with some friends of his who were celebrating a bday. Then we went to another little pub and had a really nice long talk. Our tiff was just about a few growing pains in the relationship...I think he thinks that I am looking for more than I am. I am happy just going out and having a good time. The last thing I need is another husband. I haven't gotten rid of the one I have yet...LOL! DD and I went to a couple of antique stores with my mom this morning and then I came back and just crashed like I hadn't slept in a week! So no shenanigans for me! Although, I am feeling wide eyed and bushy tailed right now.

~~~~~~~~~~~~personals~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
`````Nicole```````Sounds like you have lots of shenanigans planned for this evening! So glad DS is feeling better...poor little guy. Glad you are feeling more centered now...I am sure DH will be appreciative. I am incorporating yoga every other day now into my rotations...and I am really liking the mental and physical benefits I am getting.

``````Teddygirl```````Waving as you fly by!
``````Wendy````You seem to be flying as well!

`````Lea````Don't cha just LOVE Eoin???? Sorry you are feeling a little under the weather. Glad DH is taking out the boys so that you have a bit of peace.
````Traci```` It's just been soooooo long since I have dated...It's just kind of eye opening sometimes. I don't know that CB has marriage intentions...He actually is having some problems with my background and his merging, I think. I don't know how to explain it other than XDH makes a very good living and CB has been more of a worker bee his entire life...so there is a big discrepancy in our lifestyles. What he doesn't seem to understand is that I have all the toys I need, and I truly want to simplify my life. Although money can buy lots of really nice shoes, it has not bought me any happiness with XDH over the past few years. CB and I did have a good time last night...and he's coming over for dinner tomorrow night...He's cooking on my grill since I tend to cook the steaks too rare...Moo! Can't wait to hear Wendell's response to your question about fishing and sex! You are such a sweetie to think of sending Cathe a card...I am sure she received it just when she needed it. I have lots of Eoin ditties...I will share them on those days we need them. Hope you got that workout in...I guess I need to look to see what to do tomorrow...Legs of some sort...Do I start the Slo Mo or stick with full Cathe for another week?? Have fun cleaning the carpet...did you get your floor mopped? I think I need to mop mine again...although a lot of the dirt is up...still seems a little dingy to me!

`````Sandra```` So I am curious what you ended up doing today...I bet you pushed play on DM! I am sure that whatever you decided on was harder than I would have done on a day when I don't really feel like working out. Those days are always yoga for me! Yes, the Shiva I did was the one with the 3 core...I did the first and second segments...I will do the other one on my next yoga day. I am definitely feeling it in my lower abs today. And it was just a tiff with CB...not a fight. I tend to blow things out of proportion sometimes...and trait given to me by my XDH since all bad things in that relationship were blown out of proportion. We are doing good, though. I am sure that your green smoothie was something I would never drink...but I am sure glad you enjoyed it!!! Of course, now I am far enough down to see that you did do DM...I knew it! Are you trying to take the mother of the year title away from me? You are making me look bad!
````Tracy```` I agree that 4DSBC is not as hard as the original BC, but since I am not a regular runner I get plenty winded during the drills. Be careful with those weights...I know you don't want an injury. Good luck with getting that cooking done today. I admire your dedication!

````Swifty````Sorry about the bloat...but at least you started! How long was this cycle? Have you made it to the doctor yet about that? I remember your earlier appointment was postponed. Sorry that DD is so sick! You guys haven't had it easy lately. Yes...You must get Eoin...He is the man of nectar.
Okay...think I am caught up for now and DD wants to play some games....so I guess I will pretend that I am as good a mother as Sandra...
later gators!
Debra
Debra: Good for you for listening to your body, you work hard. I hope you’re not coming down with anything God forbid. Enjoy your day as mines is about to get started. Ted is on his way home, I cleaned up a bit so he can do his thing in the kitchen, as I am about to watch a movie.
Nicole: Enjoy your evening with hubby, praying for a safe return
Lea: Do you mean 80 minutes of Yoga? That’s a long time. Good job
Sandra: Drill Max, ouch! Me…. Me… me.... am jealous, yes I am, just kidding. Nice work
Swifty: Oh my! Girl you are crushing the X. guess who’ll be joining you, not me but the lovely Tracie she loves the X too.
Tracey: howdy! What question(s) did you ask Cathe, I tried to find it but……….be careful with your shoulder, did SloMo causes that?
Wendy: I checked out your pictures, very nice!
Tracie: Is this your first time doing SM upper body? I can’t remember. Be careful. I was going to do UB tomorrow but leaning towards L&G. I really need to work lower everyday as my weight goes straight too me thighs, that’s what I get for being a pear. Enjoy your day, as for me, I'm about to chill and watch a movie or check out SM upper
Good afternoon ladies,
Didn't get a chance to post this morning as we had the big family breakfast. It was all good (especially the french toast casserole ).:9 Afterwards, came home, did housework, stacked some wood and went on a bike ride. I'm planning on doing the group bike ride tomorrow morning, but in case it's raining, I decided to get one in today. Had a very nice ride and did a little hill climbing too. On the way back, there was a rider on a mtn. bike on the road so I caught up to him and road for a little bit. He's an officer out at the prison and just bought a new mtn. bike to ride. Chatted with him a bit and then we parted ways. Always nice to talk to someone during a ride.
Today's workout was CTX All Upper body and All Step Abs. The upper body workout had my arms pumped and I had a nice toasty feeling this morning.
Traci, interesting about your Dad and his beliefs. Our family is/was Catholic also so I wonder if that's where the mentality comes from? Dad's an old fuddy duddy, though I love him so. I just wish he would open his mind and not try to make everything black and white, cuz it definitely isn't. LOL about the sex vs. fishing. My DH is not much of a fisherman so I know what he'd pick. Now if it was a choice between sex or his "girls", that one would be tough as he dearly loves our babies. They are both out with him now. He, our 2 sons and my brother all skipped the family breakfast and went out with the quads and the Rhino instead. I was halfway miffed with all of them so I didn't leave them any of the sausage/egg casserole this morning, though I had made an extra one. Figured they made their choice.
Sandra, I'm impressed by your calorie burn! When I was doing Spinervals or a Cardio Coach, I could barely burn 300 calories in 60 minutes. And that's with setting it for my age, weight, etc. I was thinking of you guys when I was listening to my "oldies" on my mp3 player today. Groups like Bread, America, Air Supply, Kansas. Glad you enjoyed DM today. I don't think I've ever done that one as is. I hate the drill where you hold the stability ball and go side to side. I use a little weighted ball instead. I've got to put Ratatouille on the queue for Netflix. I fell asleep last night during Ghost Rider. I may quit Netflix as most of their DVD's freeze on my DVD player. I was asleep so DH didn't have me fix the DVD and he didn't get to finish watching it.
Tracy, love your Avatar and your son's leap. Kids are fearless, huh? I was riding my bike today and wasn't paying attention, hit a rock on the street, it jarred off my dog spray that sits on my handlebars. I then ran over the canister and almost fell. So glad I didn't. What are you cooking today? I just finished a non-healthy bowl of sausage/egg casserole for dinner. I need to go out and stack a little more wood before it gets dark.
Swifty, glad TTOM started for you. Did you ever get back to the dr. for it? Maybe that explains the "blah" feeling you had was it yesterday, about your workout? Hope your DD starts feeling better soon and it doesn't spread to anyone else.
Lea, glad you got a yoga fix in today. How is your voice feeling now? Is it gone? Bet my DH wishes sometimes that mine would leave. Love your Meez!
Anointed, sorry about your car bills. That stinks! Hope you have a nice time with Ted tonight and a good visit with his friend. New clothes are always nice! Enjoy that movie today. Let Ted do the cooking and you kick back. You deserve it, working so hard at that election!!!
Nicole, sorry about the scratchy throat. Bet you are super excited about your DH coming home. Is he bringing some venison? If my DH brought one home, I'd probably point the way to the nearest game processing station. Don't think I'm woman enough to want to do the butchering and wrapping and all. I read your post about being more accepting of your body. I'm doing that, but this soft mid-section has got to go!! I'm starting to get enthused about next year's riding events to work towards. I do better with a cycling goal. There are a few events I have my eye on. But then again, I may be golfing hot and heavy too so who knows? I sound so wishy washy don't I?
Debra, hope the tum tum is feeling better. I'm cutting back on my Splenda to see if that's what's been making my stomach feel "blah". Could be the amount of coffee I drink too, but I have been trying to cut back on that also. Funny about CB's background and yours and merging. I know a couple of my guy friends at work are amused by how much time I devote to my hobbies. Their wives clean house a lot, take the kids here and there, don't really take as much time as I do on "me" stuff. Guess I'm spoiled, but happy that way. It would be pretty much unheard of for my mother or one of my sisters to EVER have a facial or massage. That would be just a wasteful use of money!!! Thank God, I'm over that kind of thinking! I like my steaks rare and so does my DH, though sometimes I have to have him put the meat back on the grill as it's still bawling.
Guess I'd best get outside and start stacking wood again, sigh....
Hi all,
That is DS in the new avatar. He is fearless. Thankfully he doesn't have the motorcycle anymore.
I did Hi/Lo Dome Challenge. I really like that workout; it's a keeper. Her hi/lo has just the right blend of hi and lo impact plus fun factor. I think the dome work is just a nice change of pace for core work. Then I did my new Shiva. It is a live class and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It would not be for you if you don't like to hear a lot of talking and explanation. I happen to enjoy her descriptions and voice. I find it very calming. She moved things slower and added a few new moves. I didn't get through the entire 90 minutes, but I can see that this one will be one I use over and over. It is hard, but in a different way than her others are. The slower pace really lets you explore the moves and none of it is static. I was glad that my shoulder felt better, but I still did all of the chaturungas on my knees. Another day or two and it should be ok.
Jeanette - You eat Splenda? Didn't you read the article Traci posted recently? I give anyone at work grief for drinking diet sodas. I probably won't ride this weekend. It was dreary and cold today, and we are going out to eat for my Aunt and Uncles 50 wedding aniversary tomorrow. I'm glad you didn't fall. I'm sure road bike falls are never pretty. DH chose the Rhino over the family gathering. I hate to say it, but that sounds like something I would do.
Debra - I had to laugh at the fundamentalist neighbors comment. Dh has one fundamentalist friend. It is quite ironic because his grand daughter was molested by the step father and had the child. I wonder how they explain that one away. Money surely doesn't bring happiness. I think many people are consumed with 'things' and have lost sight of what is really important. I hope things with maybe BF are OK.
Nicole - I hope your back handled BC. Sorry you have a scatchy throat. I'm hoping the kids get well soon. We are going to have to fire up the stove soon. We turned on the heat and all I can see is dollar signs and the bill.
TG - Will you go shopping for me? I need some new winter clothes so bad. I'm just sick of everything that I have. I was almost late to work twice this week because I couldn't decide what to wear. I just hate to shop. It really is painful for me.
Lea - I hope that you feel better. I really think that lots of yoga and minimal cardio and strength training would keep you fit; especially if you do power yoga. I hope that you feel better soon.
Sandra - I like DM too. Did you decide on a new hobby?
Swifty - Keep on going with the XX, you can't have too much left. Wishing you good vibes to get everyone well. I think that my kids only threw up 3 times their entire childhood. I was so lucky.
Traci - What in the world does that green smoothie taste like? Maybe I should get a juicer. That way I could get more veggies. They are expensive aren't they? How did you like the bicep work on Slo-mo? I hope you are still injury free.
Off to finish dinner so I can eat. After fixing the pork stir fry, I don't feel like fixing anything for myself, but I will.
