Hi everyone,

Just starting us off today. I have to go back and catch up on the events of yesterday. I had to work at work, so no time to play.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

BBL,

Tracy

Hi,

I wanted to post the Shiva matrix that I've been doing. It really has helped take me to the next level of flexibility, more so than anything else and it's not particularly difficult. It takes about an hour and is a nice combination of everything.

Surya Namaskar A&B

Dancing Warrior 1&2 (more challenging, I break a sweat)
or
Dancing Worrior 3&4 (more relaxing, but I prefer)

Standing Pose Flow 1

Lunge Preparation

Backbend Flow 1

Supine Poses

Foward Bends and Twists

Pranayama or Shavasana

Enjoy!

Tracy

Happy TUESDAY!

*** Round 2: Phase 1 / Recovery Week / Day 3/ Naked Kenpo ***
Changing X Kenpo to tomorrow as yesterday’s workout has left me very toasty in arms!}(

Will test drive Sweatfest SCULPT which is the Functional/Balance …. Looking forward to that one as well.

Workouts yesterday…. *Core Syn*…. I’ll never look forward to that one…it’s the rolling on the floor thing! *Sweatfest Kick* (Tracey Staehle) LOVE IT! Can also be done “naked”. AWESOME drill type—she does go into really fast paces but then slows it down again “to get your form back” I really thought that was cool… I kept it low the whole time and still burned over 500 calories for the 60 minutes. I didn’t use weighted gloves and I still felt this one BIG TIME in arm muscles and lats! }( If I use gloves in future I think I can make it into two effective 30 minute workouts… Just what I am looking for! A KEEPER…. Also did waist, legs, buns & thighs from *SQUEEZE*- let me re-phrase… I *attempted* }( …HOLY CRAPOLA….}( No wonder ballerinas have legs to die for. This is one I will have to work up to. I think I’ll do it in small segments throughout X. It’s a toaster!

***Wendy X:
:7 Hope all is going well with BBC!

***Tracy X:
:7 You sound very busy this week! I know whatever you do for workouts will put me to shame… You go for it! Tell that calf I said- TAKE THAT! Have you noticed the stir you started with Eoin? My goodness woman- you are more subtle than I but just as deadly as an enabler!

***Lea X:
:7 Thanks for ordering – you are a doll! We should have all pitched in and bought yours for all the hassle- Tell me why we didn’t all just go to website and order matching tanks ourselves? Did we miss that option??? LOL Next time girl I promise! Ya know I want shorts that say XX on arss!

***Sandra X:
:7 LOL on response to Teddy! I had written the same thing! Did the dentist hurt our Sarg??? Glad you got in so soon and very glad you can type while mouth is healing! BTW: Did ya feel the smack from Lea? Can I change my order…. You are sooooo bad! I REALLY need to change mine to say “ I REALLY DID look like an Xer at one point!” You are the 2nd person bring HCE2 into my recall… damn- its recovery week TIME TO GET IT OUT!!!!! I think you should have “fun” week and do whgatever mindblowing workout your little heart desires each day… OR you could close your eyes and select 3 DVDs and create a Sandra Mish Mosh each day!!!!

***Jeanette X
:7 ROFL about Daniel Craig! YES he is a looker but my oh my I couldn’t watch him right before bed and not expect all my sleep-talking to get me into big trouble! Great ride yesterday…. Whats the warmest it get there? I imagine your summers are like my winters. On Squeeze Lower…. I did the L- that put me over the edge in outer thigh / booty cramps! Then I started all the wall stuff and got about 5 minutes into it before my thighs cramped up…. The standing plies on tippie toes were off the chart! I LOVED IT! Oh gosh YES the Candy Factory episode was great! When I’m on a binge I swear that’s how I look!!!! ROFL Hope that wine is fermenting as planned!

***Debra X:
:7 Getting those tootsies beautiful as I type! I had to cancel my Concert Pedicure & Hair day as I was sick and now I’m too cheap to get it all done! Your care package is all ready for shipping! Will get to post office at some point today. Have a wonderful & safe trip!!! Will miss you but know you’ll have FABULOUS stories when you return.

***Laurie X:
:7 ROFL “get naked Kenpo!” I wonder what lurkers think about us all ! Do they think that’s why we called this Xers Checkin? ROFL! Congrats on great deal with DVDs! I love bargains!!! Gosh your morning sounded challenging… Those are days I breathe deeply and just go with the flow as the more I fight it the worse it gets! I’ve started my days with egg whites container being mistaken for Soy Creamer and the coffee was a sickening experience… I also have done the deodorant in hair as hairspray – back in the aerolsol days!

***Wendy:
:7 Huge ^5 on the twins! What a great teacher you must be!!! I’m sure that feels like a grand victory in their little lives… So what to you attribute hair cuts / outgoing to be? Have they not liked their long locks? Amazing what motivates children. Quite a week you have planned… What is it with all you energizer bunnies? The cooler climates perhaps? I am no artist but even I know that the girls have talent! WOW!!!! I so appreciate the art of – ART! I have no ability to make whats in my minds eye come to fruition… I am a highly creative & talented soul buts its locked in my brain for some reason… The pics are simply beautiful. Lol on MIL- NO – she does not think a whole lot of LOVE thoughts about me – I am way too outspoken and I stick up for my DH all the time! She doesn’t value that in a wife! LOLOLOL My Dh’s name is Wendell Wayne…. A good southern boys name… Say that with a twang and you’ve got it right! I wonder why we do that here? I usually write his name as WWB (initials) in emails to people just cuz its shorter!
REPEAT AFTER ME….. THERE ARE NO PICTURE POLICE! I CAN TAKE MY PROGRESS PICS ANY TIME I WANT! I AM AN ADULT A WIFE A MOTHER A TEACHER I CAN MAKE THIS DECISION FOR MYSELF AND I DOD NOT NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THE DATE!

***Katie:
:7 Hope you are doing well and progressing right along.

***Swift Amy:
:7 YIPPEE on all your X accomplishments! I can tell that you really like the program… That’s terrific! I think most people would if they stuck with the first week – it was a mindset change for me but I was ready for that…Oooohhhhhhh Tingling abs! That’s a sure sign of a gal that’s going to make the 13 weeks! WooHoo on pull-ups! Did you feel like OMG! I love that feeling… I call it my Tony Feeling… Crunchy Frogs… for me the least of all the ARX evils! lol

***TeddyGirl:
:7 Oh TG PLEASE rethink your 18 ww points while exercising with X!!!! You simply cannot build muscle on that… 18pts X avg of 50 cal per pt is 900calories! X suggests a minimum of 1800!!!! I lost all my weight with X by increasing calories – I zig zagged days 2000 & 1500 =1750 avg week. SARGEANT SANDRA JUMP IN HERE!!!!! I know it’s a hard mental transition but really you will be lifting in vain if you don’t increase some clean foods! AND – If you think you are lurking for food now- JUST WAIT!!! As you lift heavier & heavier you will feel RAVENOUS – you must feed that those muscles good protein/fat/carbs all day long! ENOUGH FOR NOW but I’m watching you! Your DVD is ready to ship today!!! YIPPEE new toys! Thank God your sister got released! My gosh woman you have so much to deal with… now I understand your crazy workouts… you probably need the stress release! HUGS to sis!

***Amy:
:7 ROFL about gardening in heat/humidity of summer! You crazy girl- that’s like starting a running program at 2pm in July in Houston! Try 4am-11am it is much easier that way! Hope Yoga was a BLAST!!!!! When do you get your sweet nectar?

***Nicole:
:7 LOL on the weather… that’s us in Houston as well…. It just changes hour to hour! Thanks for the new pics… I love seeing everyones familys & activities… its like being “in person” friends! I think I was “afraid” of every workout day for entire first phase! That’s why I fell in love with Tony- he somehow managed to push me past fear, limiting thoughts and barriers to picking up heavy dumbbells…. I will forever have a place in my heart for that silly old man!

That’s it for me…. Took well over an hour to catch up so Plan B today…. Perhaps a mid day checkin ! I could have been done with half my workouts by now! You ladies are keeping me hopping…. Oh yes- a report card on yesterdays studies!
Lets see…. All the pencils are sharpened, the books are laid out nicely, the DVDs are all stacked next to player….YES I am ready now!:p lolololol

Classic/Phase 1/ Week 2/ Day 6

Legs/Back with a bit of yoga added in because it just never did get done yesterday! My "on" switch wouldn't flip!

Anyway, DH is setting up for pictures, they are supposed to be Day 1, but will end up being mid week 2 just because I HATE having pictures taken of myself!

BBC arrived yesterday! It's fun because it's wrapped in camo tissue paper and had a dog-tag on a chain on it saying "Barry's Bootcamp Enlistee 2007". Maybe I should add it to my other real dog-tags? LOL!!!

Anyway, no Nectar hips yet, although I am due for a Collage Video shipment today!}(

I'm up early for a 10a facial (YUM), then a 1p haircut then off to a pedicure afterwards......so my professional grooming needs will all be taken care of today! (yea, AFTER the picturesx( x( x( x( )

Hi guys. I just wanted to let you know that obviously I haven't been posting as much on the boards. Life has been taking place in a big way and I need to concentrate on that. I will miss you, but I think that I need to drop out for a little while until my life slows down a bit. Thank you all for being so supportive. I love this group and I hope that you guys continue to stay supportive of each other.

Lea

Good morning,

I can’t say much today lots is happening with my sister, back to emergency last night.

Tracie: I’m glad you are feeling better, feels like I could be coming down with something I wouldn’t be surprise anytime I step foot into a hospital germs, are air born. After I finish my workout tonight, I’m going to take some flu medication, just in case;)

Last night, Plyo, easy, a little to easy and shoulders & arms, please don’t get me wrong, I’m no super woman, but didn’t bust a sweat with Plyo. I’m going to change things up a bit, I will not be doing P90X in any order because it’s throwing me off.

Lately, seems like everything is throwing me off, knee & shoulder issues, surgery, and now my sister, I tell you.

Thanks guys for the 411, but I eat more than 900 calories a day, I’d be a toothpick if I ate 900 calories a day, my goodness I wouldn’t be able to handle Cathe’s workouts or any workouts. I usually keep my calorie intake around 1500/1800 a day, healthy choices, and energy foods.

But, yesterday, it just felt like I was eating all day. I did lots of nibbling, on the wrong things, my nerves, lots going on and I was drinking tons of water, I just felted stuffed.

Tonight’s workout, Butts & Guts leg blast and floorwork & abs:7

Teddygirl~

Now is my time to check in. Good morning Ladies!:)

I made it through the Plyo-X this AM. Perfect workout. All my hiking adventures in the mountains come back to me when I'm jumping the gap.

Much appreciation to you all that give me the strength and support to continue checking in. :7

Life is congested with "things" right now. I want you all to know you are some very awesome ladies. Thank you for the support. I'm not good on PM'ing -will try learning each of your names and what is going on with your wo's. It keeps me humming along.((((((hugs))))) to all X-er's.

Recovery Week, Day 2

Good morning,

First off, I need to clarify for Wendy: HardCore Extreme (or HCE) is a compilation dvd that Cathe put together of the HardCore Series workouts. There are 3 workouts on the dvd, and the second one is 71 minutes of cardio. She blends some LowMax and IMAX3 segments, then tacks on the KickMax Blast Challenge at the end. When you're ready to take your cardio to the next level, I recommend this dvd. All three workouts are very, very good. So you see, I'm not crazy and bionic.

My dental appointment yesterday was fabulous!!!! The dental clinic I went to is brand spanking new, so they have all the necessary tools to make it a pleasant experience. I got to lie down and watch tv for over an hour with headphones on, the remote in my hand, and no pint-sized people interrupting me every 5 minutes. I got to watch whatever my little heart desired! Ahhh, I can't wait to go back! Oh, and the tooth is all better, too. I was a whisper away from needing a root canal, but thankfully (?) the tooth broke in time, and got me in to the dentist before the decay moved into the nerve. I still need to go back in a few months and get a crown put on top. When I told DH and DD about needing a crown, DD said, "Ooooh, you'll look pretty in your crown." LOL!

DebraX - LOL about your daughter's knee-on-grass experience. This is such a funny age. My DD is a drama queen, too, of the highest court. She threw a tantrum at a family get together when she was about 3 years old. As she flung herself to the floor, legs and arms flailing and the young lungs awailing, I raised my arms like a referee and exclaimed "Diva down!" Maybe it was a had-to-be-there moment, but it was hilarious. So, now I think of her as my little diva. You're busy this week! I wish you the best of luck with your house hunting. I hope you find the perfect house in the perfect neighbourhood for just the right price.

TraciX - Going to add a mid-morning check in? See, you're addicted. Addicts can always find a way to justify their behaviour. But since I enjoy your participation, I'm not going to stage in intervention. Everyone needs a break in their work day, right? Let me get this straight - your work includes watching dvds?? Where do I sign up? Are you going to give HCE#2 a whirl this week? I know you're not a huge high-impact fan; do you modify the KickMax Blast? I'm in my PMS Power Mode, so my legs don't even feel tired from yesterday. I'm thinking about doing the Gauntlet today. CoreSyn is not high on my list of favourites, either, although as the last rotation went on I got to like it better. Every morning I take the baby into the basement with me while I prepare my workout space. When I tell her it's time for Mommy to exercise, she runs over to the dvd collection and starts pulling off dvds, while saying "Cathe" as best she can, and brings them to me. Maybe my mish-mosh should just be whatever the baby hands me! The SJP/SB dvd and IMAX2/CW dvd appear to be her favourites.

TracyX - Thanks for the Shiva list. That's very similar to what I did last week. I love the Dancing Warrior segments, especially #4. How's the pee counting going? I've learned some very useful information about my bladder by paying close attention to various things. For one, caffiene highly irritates my bladder. For two, I have zero bladder issues or problems if I have not recently ingested caffeine. For three, there are certain external things that will trigger the urge, such as arriving home, or being about to leave the house. These are learned behaviours and I'm having some success is retraining myself. For four, were it not for the caffeine and the external triggers, I would probably have no bladder problems to speak of. Yay. I'm trying to vigilantly do my pelvic floor exercises and zip&hollow, just to keep everything healthy for the long term.

Oh, did you all know that while exercising you are supposed to maintain a mild kegel the entire time? If you can't keep your pelvic floor muscles slightly contracted, you need to start strengthening them. They will thank you in the long run. It's taking me a bit to get used to focusing on that while I exercise, but it's doable. In general keeping the whole core slightly active helps you to "land like a cat", which reduces the stress on your joints. So, Tony has some good advice (of course).

I have to get the kids ready for the day. I'll try to BBS to finish with the conversations. And I'm still dying to go back and read about Jeanette's wine making experience. Jeanette - all of Landis's B samples came back positive! Tsk tsk.

Cheers for now,
SandraX

Morning Xers,

Doubles: Ph1/Wk4/Day1/Rnd2
Workout: Core Syn

Well I lost my first post, don't know what happened to it. x( I thank all of you for making me feel better about being a zombie yesterday. My DH was laughing at me when I came out of the building to get my purse. So glad he could drop that off. My yoga was just what I needed. Enjoyed the Yoga Zone Power Yoga for Strength and Endurance. Had a lot of the same moves that are in YogaX, and a few I haven't done before. Maybe with this one I will be able to get into Crane. :D Ya right!!!

Sandra, Sorry to hear about the tooth, just glad you could get it taken care of so quick. My DH is the same way about submitting forms for reimbursment. :D Sounds like a fun workout for you yesterday, even though it didn't start out that great. :)

Traci, Glad to hear you enjoyed Tracey's Cardio Sweatfest. I will be doing that one tomorrow, so another one I need to try "naked". :7 :7 :7

Swifty, I love jumping the gap also. I still find it funny that he gets in everyone's way. That particular segment always gets my heart rate up.

Teddygirl, Hope your sister starts feeling better soon, and take care of yourself also. Don't worry about the workouts, just do what you can. Subbing right now sounds like what you need to do. :)

Lea, Take care and we will be here when you are able to start chatting again.

Amy, I really liked the BBC workouts, they are some really good workouts. Traci described them as P90X on steroids, and I'm agreeing with her on that one.

Jeanette, Sounds like a great hill climb for you. The DD's, Dh and I did about 2 miles the other day. :7 :7 Had to keep it easy for the DH.:7

Tracy, Are you the one that started the hips and nectar craze? Will I have to get on that bandwagon too?

Wendy, Yipee on the DD's and their reading. I was never a good reader in school, now I read all the time. :D My DD's are just the opposite of yours. Oldest DD is the shy one and youngest seems to be able to walk into a room and make a friend instantly. Don't have too much fun on that bus ride.

Have to get to work,

Laurie

Good morning,

Going to be a busy one today at work, can just feel the vibes already. DH and I will take the girls out to the forest after work. I told him no more to the desert as the gnats at work (the prison is located out in the sagebrush and desert) totally bit up my scalp when I went for a walk yesterday at lunch. They just love feasting on my scalp and ears. With those darned gnats, no kind of spray works against them. They always come out this time of year. A turban would work well to keep them out.

I switched the rotation to make today a leg day as my hill climb is on Thursday and I want fresh legs for that. I did the standing work from Butts & Guts and then did 3 of the lower body exercises from Squeeze. Loved my leg workout today!!!! I was burning in Squeeze!

Tracy, thanks so much for letting us know your Shiva workout from the matrix. I'll print that one out.

Traci, I really like Squeeze also! Love that burning in my glutes and with small moves too. When I did the upper body work, I was dying!!! I kept having to take my arms down to my sides and with 2# weights! I did have a nice ride yesterday. Must look for some different cycling shoes as my toes have been bothering me a bit. I need to remember to move the cleats back on my shoes too as that helps to get the cleat further under the ball. Our weather is pretty good in the summer, we may have a week of over 100 degree weather, mostly the norms would be in the 90's during the summer, but we have low humidity so more bearable. Ahhh, Daniel Craig, what a bod!!! What has he acted in other than CR? LOL about talking in your sleep.

Amy, glad you got your new DVD's. Gosh, I've sure got a ton of them too. DH doesn't open the cabinet or say anything as he has tons of tools that just sit there most of the time. Your day of facial, pedicure and haircut sounds heavenly! Wish it were me. Will we get to see the pictures? Hope so.

Lea, totally understand (but don't like) it if you can't post for now. I sit at this thing way too much at night. I need to get busy doing some yardwork in the evenings. I'm a slacker, that's for sure.

Teddygirl, so sorry your sis is back in the hospital. My prayers will be with you and her today. I hate that feeling of being stuffed and eating, but not being hungry. For some reason, I don't think that's right for me. Feeling bloated from food not digesting can't be right.
Your workout for today sounds good. I love B&G probably the best of all of Cathe's DVD's right now. The music is right, it moves along. Love everything about it.

Swifty, glad you enjoyed PlyoX, it's a goody and Tony makes it fun. What I like about working out at home is it translates over to my outdoor activities, makes them better.

BBL,

Jeanette

No time to dally, I have to get going out the door for MY day!!! Anyway, pictures are up and available. Please, don't look at the face...just take these into considerating: 1) I work nights, I don't DO mornings! 2) this was 0630! 3) I was annoyed at DH because he wanted to spend 20 min trying to figure out how to get the date stamp on the photo, and lastly 4) I wanted to get going on Legs/Back!!

Okay, Legs/Back...I am already feeling it....AGAIN!!!

Here's the site, I will add it to my signature line when I get a chance.

Amy: you posting your pictures really put a smile on my face, I mean that in a good way. I was just sitting here at my desk in blah….blah….. land wanting to cry, scream, workout, eat, laugh just something, just don’t feel like being at work today, I am therex(

You are doing good woman. Keep up the good work……

Classic: Phase 1/ Week 2/ Day 2/ Round 1

Good morning all! Doing PlyoX today and can't wait to start. Got the boys off to school, the hubby off to work and the little mister watching a show:)

TraciX- Sweatfest Kick sounds great, don't think I could do it naked though:) Since I live in CA I have a soft spot for Tony. His chatty personality doesn't bug me either since I am chatty myself.

SandraX- So glad you didn't have to get a root canal, all that drilling! As far as the Kegals, after three kids I pretty much have to hold one permanently:)

Amy- I don't think I'll mess with you, you could kick my butt:) Way to go on the results. Have fun being pampered today.

Amy(Swifty)- I'm glad I have a PlyoX partner today> Thanks for the ((((HUGS)))))!

Jeanette- Gee, those gnats sound like fun> I've gotta try Squeeze, everyone here talks about it.

Debra- Glad you enjoyed the pictures. We had a lot of fun together as a family getting fresh air and exercise. Thanks again for inviting me!!

Everyone have a GREAT day!!!!!!

Nicole

Hi ladies...Just popping on quickly before I do a few chores. I had a lovely pedi and waxing this morning...my toes are very soft and pretty! I am thinking I am going to do an upper body split today with Gym Styles...then biking tomorrow...although, I think it's supposed to rain..and then rest of upper body on Thursday...so I can start my new rotation when I get back from house hunting...since house hunting week is also recovery week. No time for a lot of personals now...Just wanted to send some {{{hugs}}} to Teddygirl and her sis...and hoping she is better today.

I'll bbl for the rest of personals...Have a fun day ladies!

Hey Girls!

I wasn't able to post y'day so I'm trying to play catch up today!:)

TraciX: Thanks re the pics! I haven't shown my DH the pics yet but I will. I mentioned it to him the other night. He has noticed a change in me and likes it but I think the pics will tell the story more realistically. Hard to see gradual changes when you see a person every day! BBC is going well, btw. I'm really liking it. TOUGH but different from the X. Nice change. This is only my 2nd week doing them. I plan to take pics again when I am done with this rotation to see what, if any changes occurred from them.

Wendy: Thanks re the pics as well. I prefer the NO LIGHT option myself!;)

Tracy: I ordered Shiva's Yoga Shakti after hearing rave reviews on it. I should be receiving it any day now. Is that the dvd you are talking about?

Amy: Yeay, you got BBC! I hope you like them!

Teddygirl: I am not up to par on what happened with your sister but I hope she is going to be okay! (((HUGS)))

Swifty: What time did you do PlyoX this morning? I can't imagine doing that work out before breakfast!!! LOL

Laurie: So you can't do the crane? Why not? It's so easy! LOLOLOL NOT! :7 :p :7 :p

Jeannette: Squeeze has me tempted but it seems to be alot of money for one full body work out with some premixes...Do you think it's worth the money you paid?

SandraX: My goodness woman! What do you want from us? Now we have to maintain a kegel during a work out too!? No wonder they call you Sarge!;) :7 LOL

Nicole: How did PlyoX go today?

Debra: Ooooh a pedicure sounds devine! I have to get myself one soon!:)

So I wasn't able to enter the X contest but I *DID* post a link to some of my pics in the X photo gallery area of the discussion boards. *GASP!* Now I'm afraid...VERY afraid!

I ran for 25 mins this morning with the help of an Itread work out and then came home and did BBC's Full Body work out. It's time to hit the showers now!

Have a great afternoon!:7

Morning ladies. I'm still alive. Things are so crazy right now between school and the new house. All workouts went as planned over the weekend. Yoga went a little better this time than last. I really felt Kenpo more this morning than last week. I focused more on the moves and I really felt it in the abs and arms.
Workouts are going well and I'm starting to see better definition in my upper body, plus my legs are starting to lean out a little. So far I'm very happy and I still have so far to go! I can't wait!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie

Okay...back for a few personals...Ran a couple of errands with DD this afternoon and then took the pooch over to the dog park...she is still panting!

WendyX...Sounds like you had a nice workout today...I am still procrastinating with mine!

SandraX...It sounds like your dentist visit was very relaxing...which says a lot about the rest of your life! LOL! And what about these kegels...I can barely concentrate enough to lift my weights much less clinch my privates! I can just see you yelling "Diva down" since that's my world too..LOL! I am looking forward to house hunting in the South since real estate is a lot cheaper than here and taxes are so much lower. We will be able to get the same size house with similar amenities plus a pool and more land for over $200 thousand less than here.

Nicole...Hope you enjoyed Plyo today...will be interested to hear what you think about it.

Amy...Your pictures gave me a laugh...since you looked so happy to be having your picture taken! LOL! I am sure your 30 day (or 28 if you listen to Wendy) ones you will be smiling from ear to ear! Maybe you should take the next shots after your hips have been licked clean of ice cream and nectar. Hope you are enjoying your day of pampering!

JeanetteX..Gotta chuckle out of picturing you with a turban on your head to keep out the gnats! We only have gnats here around the water...but we have tons of mosquitoes in North Carolina...so I have that to look forward too...although after living in Minnesota where the mosquitoes are the size of birds it won't be too bad. And, you and Traci have convinced me to get Squeeze...where did you get it?

Swifty... Glad you enjoyed Plyo this morning....Don't worry about PM'ing...It took me q while to get everyone straight. We're just happy that you are checking in with us!

LaurieX..Good luck with Crane...lol! And have fun with Core Syn tonight...Wendy says to look out for Dreya's cellulite!

Teddygirl...Have fun with B&G tonight...My buttocks were sore for a couple of days after I did it last week! Hope your sister improves soon.

TraciX...My toes are very pretty now, thank you for asking! And thanks so much for my care package too! And you and Jeanette have of course convinced me to get Squeeze...because I need another exercise video since I don't have enough! Glad you DH had a good time at the Buffett concert..although, I can't imagine NOT having a good time with Jimmy! Did I tell you I had a chance Jimmy sighting?!? I was in college and down in Key West for spring break..and He (notice the capital letter) walked through the gift shop of Margaritaville and into the back room...He brushed right past me and I was so shocked that I didn't even get a word out! Well, it was 20 years ago and I still remember it! I am glad you are feeling so free with your new naked workouts! Hope the studying is going well.

TracyX...Hope you are well and not having to work as hard today! I have a Shiva dvd coming on flickety fit soon, so I will try her out then.

Wendy...I think it's wonderful how well your girls are doing! Now, I'm sure you've said, but how old are they? It's funny what a sassy new cut will do for your self-confidence! And yes, I am sure that my yoga yesterday counted for you too!

Happy day to all...I really have to workout now!

Debra

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

There really aren't enough h's in the digital universe to express how lovely I feel. It's off the "good-o-meter" chart. WTF? Eoin Finn is a crack up, I have to say!! For anyone wondering whether *I'm* the one on crack, let me explain. I did Muscle Endurance this morning, then decided to give Finn's "Power Yoga for Happiness: Magical Hips" workout a whirl. I'm so glad I did. That's one wonderful hour. I hadn't previewed the dvd at all, and was turned at an angle slightly away from the tv, so I only occasionally glanced at the screen to see what they were doing. Imagine my surprised the first time he mentioned downward/upward dog, and when I glanced at the screen, there was actually a dog on a yoga mat!! LMAO!!!! I almost fell over from laughing. Between that, and all the little phrases he scatters through his narrative, I had a very funny, relaxing, enjoyable experience. I'm going to have to actually watch the workout next time and see what other gems I missed this time through.

Muscle Endurance was terrific!! I haven't done that workout in ages and ages. I made sure I went as heavy as possible with the weights, and got quite a good burn going in all muscle groups. Doing the core work at the end with the ball and the "zip & hollow" advice in mind felt really intense. I find the core work in the Intensity Series to be some of Cathe's best.

WendyX - I finally checked out your 90 day pics. The first time I tried a few days ago, it wouldn't load the pictures. I'm sure it was due to the mad rush of everyone else trying to view them ;) You really do look amazing. Your core, in particular, seems to have really tightened up. BB charges $$ for joining the MDB club? That's slimey. Keep us updated on the kind of feedback you get from posting your pics with them. I can't recommend Yoga Shakti highly enough. Now, buy Power Yoga for Happiness, too, and you're all set! Sheila Watkins, moderator of the Fit Moms & Pregnancy forum (remember her?) wrote a long piece about kegeling years ago, and when I read the we were to hold one through a cardio workout I thought she was crazy. I still think she's crazy, but crazy like a fox LOL!

Amy - so THAT's what you look like! You're always talking about how heavy you used to be, and how much weight you still have to lose, and yet you don't look overweight in those pics at all. I'm thinking all your time in the military (was it navy or army?) layered on some good muscle for you. Nice arms! Thank you for being brave enough to share pics with us. As you'll notice, I'm still chicken, er, shy. I'm still shy.

LeaX - Ooooh, I'm sorry you need to take a hiatus from us. Whatever is coming your way, I hope you eventually wend your way back here. We'll save you a seat.

Teddygirl - Man, she's back in emergency? I'm so sorry. Coincidentally I talked to a friend today who is going for blood tests this afternoon for Lupus :( I'm relieved to hear that you're eating more than 18 points a day! Phew! You didn't break a sweat with PlyoX? Yes, my friend, you ARE super woman! Nicole did it twice in one day last week. You two need your own P90XX club :)

Swifty - We're hikers, too. DH and I did a lot of backpacking before the kids came along. When they get older we hope to get back at it. Of course, at that point I'll be old and spoiled by the comforts of life, and no longer be willing to live without running water, toilets, clean underwear...

LaurieX - would you consider that YogaZone to be easy, intermediate, or advanced? I'm learning that every "power" yoga begins with vinyasas and warrier poses, then goes into standing poses, then down to the floor for hip and hamstring work. Crane is hard! With YogaX I can, at best, go in and out of it for up to 10 secs at a time (on a good day).

JeanetteX - Ugh on the gnats! Yes, wear a turban. That's a good plan. Then take a picture and post it for us to see. That's also a good plan. I'm also in love with BG these days; I agree with you that the music and moves move along at a good pace. DH watched Casino Royale on Saturday night, but I chose to go to bed. Apparently I missed something good! Oh well, maybe one day I'll be bedridden and have more time than I want to watch tv. I was on total bedrest for 9 weeks when pregnant with DD#2, and only watched about 2 movies the whole time. I'm not sure what the heck I did with my time. Complained about being on total bedrest, I suppose.

Nicole - glad to hear you're working on those kegels! :) I guess I'll have to be the Kegel Captain around here, as well as the Sargeant. Any plans to do PlyoX twice today? You're crazy, you know :)

DebraX - Mmmmm pedicures are delicious. Enjoy!

Katie - Nice to see you! Good luck with the house. That's a lot of work; I know, because we just did it a year ago. We're still living without landscaping  The kids *love* playing in the mud x(

Have a great day,
SandraX

I'd like to quote a favorite and very nice person:

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

The facial was WONDERFUL!!! The the hair got cut, then off for a pedicure (the hag- toes were getting to me!).

SandraX- Thanks! Yes, it was the Navy and I think that the layering of muscle was more from Cathe in the last 2 years than anything because I've been out of the Navy for almost 4 years! Yes, that's what the body looks like, I'd still like to lose another 15 lbs off the tush. Like I said, don't mind the face! I don't DO mornings, especially 0630!!! I can't wait to be able to like the ice cream/nectar off my hips!!! I am glad that you enjoyed it, Sandra!

Debra- My toes are pretty, too! I went from a deep red to a soft pink, more for spring. Yeah, I looked absolutely thrilled to have the pix taken! LOL!! Anyway, funny thing was that when DH was snapping them, I *felt* like my face was open and smiling, but obviously it wasn't! I promise to smile for the 30 (28) day photos, though!!!:7
