Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
There really aren't enough h's in the digital universe to express how lovely I feel. It's off the "good-o-meter" chart. WTF? Eoin Finn is a crack up, I have to say!! For anyone wondering whether *I'm* the one on crack, let me explain. I did Muscle Endurance this morning, then decided to give Finn's "Power Yoga for Happiness: Magical Hips" workout a whirl. I'm so glad I did. That's one wonderful hour. I hadn't previewed the dvd at all, and was turned at an angle slightly away from the tv, so I only occasionally glanced at the screen to see what they were doing. Imagine my surprised the first time he mentioned downward/upward dog, and when I glanced at the screen, there was actually a dog on a yoga mat!! LMAO!!!! I almost fell over from laughing. Between that, and all the little phrases he scatters through his narrative, I had a very funny, relaxing, enjoyable experience. I'm going to have to actually watch the workout next time and see what other gems I missed this time through.
Muscle Endurance was terrific!! I haven't done that workout in ages and ages. I made sure I went as heavy as possible with the weights, and got quite a good burn going in all muscle groups. Doing the core work at the end with the ball and the "zip & hollow" advice in mind felt really intense. I find the core work in the Intensity Series to be some of Cathe's best.
WendyX - I finally checked out your 90 day pics. The first time I tried a few days ago, it wouldn't load the pictures. I'm sure it was due to the mad rush of everyone else trying to view them
You really do look amazing. Your core, in particular, seems to have really tightened up. BB charges $$ for joining the MDB club? That's slimey. Keep us updated on the kind of feedback you get from posting your pics with them. I can't recommend Yoga Shakti highly enough. Now, buy Power Yoga for Happiness, too, and you're all set! Sheila Watkins, moderator of the Fit Moms & Pregnancy forum (remember her?) wrote a long piece about kegeling years ago, and when I read the we were to hold one through a cardio workout I thought she was crazy. I still think she's crazy, but crazy like a fox LOL!
Amy - so THAT's what you look like! You're always talking about how heavy you used to be, and how much weight you still have to lose, and yet you don't look overweight in those pics at all. I'm thinking all your time in the military (was it navy or army?) layered on some good muscle for you. Nice arms! Thank you for being brave enough to share pics with us. As you'll notice, I'm still chicken, er, shy. I'm still shy.
LeaX - Ooooh, I'm sorry you need to take a hiatus from us. Whatever is coming your way, I hope you eventually wend your way back here. We'll save you a seat.
Teddygirl - Man, she's back in emergency? I'm so sorry. Coincidentally I talked to a friend today who is going for blood tests this afternoon for Lupus
I'm relieved to hear that you're eating more than 18 points a day! Phew! You didn't break a sweat with PlyoX? Yes, my friend, you ARE super woman! Nicole did it twice in one day last week. You two need your own P90XX club
Swifty - We're hikers, too. DH and I did a lot of backpacking before the kids came along. When they get older we hope to get back at it. Of course, at that point I'll be old and spoiled by the comforts of life, and no longer be willing to live without running water, toilets, clean underwear...
LaurieX - would you consider that YogaZone to be easy, intermediate, or advanced? I'm learning that every "power" yoga begins with vinyasas and warrier poses, then goes into standing poses, then down to the floor for hip and hamstring work. Crane is hard! With YogaX I can, at best, go in and out of it for up to 10 secs at a time (on a good day).
JeanetteX - Ugh on the gnats! Yes, wear a turban. That's a good plan. Then take a picture and post it for us to see. That's also a good plan. I'm also in love with BG these days; I agree with you that the music and moves move along at a good pace. DH watched Casino Royale on Saturday night, but I chose to go to bed. Apparently I missed something good! Oh well, maybe one day I'll be bedridden and have more time than I want to watch tv. I was on total bedrest for 9 weeks when pregnant with DD#2, and only watched about 2 movies the whole time. I'm not sure what the heck I did with my time. Complained about being on total bedrest, I suppose.
Nicole - glad to hear you're working on those kegels!
I guess I'll have to be the Kegel Captain around here, as well as the Sargeant. Any plans to do PlyoX twice today? You're crazy, you know
DebraX - Mmmmm pedicures are delicious. Enjoy!
Katie - Nice to see you! Good luck with the house. That's a lot of work; I know, because we just did it a year ago. We're still living without landscaping
The kids *love* playing in the mud x(
Have a great day,
SandraX
