Xers *Taking on the Challenge TUESDAY*

Wendy, Poor Waverly. I hate when I have a headache, it really puts a wrinkle in my day. I hope they get it figured out soon. LOL about the clothes going out of season too, never thought of that:) I was pretty bummed about the whole gun thing as you can imagine. The funny thing was that he put himself on the couch for two nights with no suggestions from me.
Yes I was 176 lbs. at my heaviest and that was when I was nine months pregnant and I lost 20 lbs. of it in a month then gained it all back in 6. It was a smack in the face to know I weighed as much as I did when I was 9 months pregnant.
When I said I wanted two kids my mom laughed and said, "Don't tell God how many kids you're going to have. She had wanted only three and then she had my two sisters. After that my dad got a vasectomy and 6 months later my mom got pregnant with my twin brothers. The funny thing was that the doctors didn't know she was having twins until they were waiyting for the placenta to come out and realized it was a baby! That is one surprise I think I'll pass on:) Children are such a blessing and I know it gets easier as they get older but I'm glad I don't have a newborn anymore. Too many long, sleepless nights!

Hey there ladies....Just got done with Jennifer Kries 3 dimensional toning (thanks Traci!). I feel like Wendy working out at night. I'm glad I got up off the couch and got moving...I don't feel any better, but I don't feel any worse. I drank some more water and took a hit off Julia's inhaler..and now I'm watching Entourage...I love that show! My cat is sleeping beside me...and snoring almost as loud as my DH.

Wendy....Your poor baby! It is so frustrating to have your child sick and not know exactly what is wrong or how to fix it! And you're right those kids are toxic! And every time I go to pick up DD from school all of her little buddies come over and give me a group hug...so I have all of those little germy creatures all over me! Good luck getting some sleep tonight with DH working.

Nicole...I can't believe your DH spent your vacation money...Did you kill him? If I hear on the news of a death in SD, I'll know it was you. I hope this doesn't mean that you won't be able to go. I am hoping I feel better tomorrow with a good night's sleep.

Cheryl...So sorry about your troubles today. I am sure that it is in the cards for you tomorrow to have a meeting with Tony!

Hi all,
Here I am, late again. Got my bike ride in after work. I decided to ride hard tonite and then spin my legs out later in the week, no more pushing after tonite. I was pleased when I got home as I exceeded my goal of doing my 20 mile hilly route with an average pace of 18.7 mph. I had hoped to some day get up to an average of 18 so was thrilled when I got off the bike and checked the computer. It's an out and back route, with a very slight breeze, that of course feels monstrous on the bike, but when you get off, you don't even notice it. Until you start moving again. Max speed was 34.7 on the return downhill. Anyway, just shows that my training is right on for me. For some years, I couldn't get beyond a 16 mph average on the same route. Another thing, TTOM just arrived this afternoon and I rode and could feel the cramps, uncomfortable. However, I've always done okay with performance on the bike, even though it's TTOM. Anyway, enough about me.

Laurie, my eyes have been bothering me too. Need to change my contacts. That should help some too. Sorry DD was not happy with her time, but yes, wind does play a factor. It can also help us when we normally wouldn't be performing that well. Oh and heat too, that is tough. I'm needing to get more acclimated to the heat. It's always a tougher 2 or 3 weeks of riding when the weather turns hot. That's too cool about Coach Sean signing your CD! I absolutely love his voice. Hope you enjoy your CD. Which one did you get? I have periods of buying and then go without for a while. Right now, I'm not much in the mood for anything new, except some more workout clothes (thanks for enabling me Wendy).

Debra, hope the massage was good today. Sometimes I would doze off a bit while being massaged. I miss those sessions, sigh. Sending good vibes that your cold is just an allergy or the dust stirring stuff up. That's what I keep telling myself. I had like an eye ache today. I like your rotation. How long are the cardio sessions? I'm thinking I could do some short 30 minute ones and then the weight section, to make 60 minutes in the morning.

Tracy, the new Shiva interests me, must look that one up.

Amy, glad your Legs & Back workout was good. I would not want to work out in front of a man, besides my DH. I would be uncomfortable, but then I'm usually wearing shorts and a sports bra. Sounds like the landscaping is coming along.

Lily, yes, the eating has to be in place for sure. I'm 48 and just can't get away with much splurging.

Wendy, yes, I do like to be on my back LOL! I'm kind of lazy and like floor work over standing leg work too. My left bicep and shoulder are weaker too, but triceps are about even I think. You have cramps too? Okay, you, me and Traci. Wow, the group dynamics are really working here. You're right about kindergartners not giving great massages. My DS would massage my feet for me, but then he would run his fingernail down the sole of my foot, causing me to jump! Then he'd tell me he was just playing and wouldn't do it again, and yes, he'd do it just when I had relaxed. Guess he really didn't want to massage my feet, did he? Are your toenails dry now? Don't think painted toenails would help these hobbit feet of mine. Hope the antibiotics are the ticket for your DD. Frustrating to try different things and not have them work.

Hi Teddygirl, missed you yesterday. Nice that you can spend some time with your sister. Why no workout in the morning if your ex-bf is at your house?

Nicole, I subbed Imax1 and 2 a few times for PlyoX. Way to go on cleaning your DS's room. I really need to clean out some cupboards and closets BADLY. Maybe when I retire in about 6 years. Does your DH ride bikes? I'm looking forward to watching the Tour, but don't even know who's in it this year, so much doping and scandals and such. I need to check some cycling websites out. Your DH recuped from a vasectomy for a week? LOL! I remember when my DH had his, he was convinced that they had cut the wrong thing because he was swollen and bruised. They can be such big babies! I really think they are the weaker sex. Sorry about him spending the vacation money. I've gone thru some stuff like that, when we've barely discussed the purchase. Funny how he slept on the couch, kind of like a bad dog that immediately knows he's in trouble and acts guilty. Had a good ride tonite, but will ease off and spin probably on Friday, with some step or hi-lo or walking thrown in to keep my legs circulating the lactic.

Traci, I'm sure the runner will be good, and she's nice, which is important to our team, heavens, we're not getting paid to do this stuff. I just like the experience of pushing and getting amongst all those other athletes, the whole enchilada. I'm so excited. Got to get my camping stuff together as I'll be staying in a tent the night before. Got to bring a little cook stove so I can have my coffee and oatmeal in the morning. Sorry about your printing issues and picture issues. Know you will prevail as you're tough that way!

Cheryl, what a pain when our computers are down. We've become so dependent on them. Have a great 1st workout tomorrow! C&B is a tough one, but gets easier. I can't believe how much I improved on my pushups. You will too.

Got to go now,

Jeanette

I'm still awake! Mixed news. Phil is coming home early! Macys is having issues with shutting down their pump system. That also means he has to go back there another night when they're allowed to shut off their system. Ugh!

Nicole: LOL with your mom. Something like that happened to Phil and me. After our dd was born, he wanted a vasectomy. I was so angry with him since she was his only child. I had my three boys with my ex. Anyhow, dd was about 6 months old at the time. The doctor told him that he would have to wear protection for at least 2 weeks before the vasectomy would take effect. He AVOIDED me like the plague! I kept asking him to try just in case it was God's will. He would hear nothing of it!!! Well, wouldn't you know it. I found out two weeks after he got his vasectomy that I was 8 weeks pregnant with twins! LOL I was still nursing dd, so I *thought* my cycle hadn't returned yet.
After our twins were born at 24 weeks gestation, I was relieved to not have to worry about having any more dc. It was so much work with 3 children still in diapers. And, the twins had so many doctors appointments and home therapy visits for the first three years of their lives. Their feeding and developmental delays were very time consuming. It was a stressful time in our lives!
To make a long story not too long, we BOTH really felt convicted to reverse the vasectomy. He got it reversed two years ago. His numbers are low, but not zero. I doubt he'll go back for a re-do with a better doctor. It's expensive and not covered under our insurance. The first year afterward, I was absorbed with TTC. Now, I'm just like whatever happens happens. I still have my moments when I'm so angry with him for even getting the vasectomy. I'll want to blame him for me not having any more dc. Then I have to remind myself why we became convicted in the first place. It's like your mom says... don't try telling God how many dc you're going to have. ;-)

Debra-X: It's nice working out at odd hours isn't it! It's like going into a bar that doesn't serve food at 11:00 in the morning. ;-) At least the late night w/o didn't make you feel worse. Get some rest. If worse comes to worse, you have dd's bong  I mean inhaler :+ to help loosen up your lungs.

Yippee! Phil's home. Off to bed I go. To SLEEP! :p

Sweet Dreams!
Wendy

Jeanette-X: Yay! You posted while I was. Glad I caught it before heading off to sleep. A thought just occured to me while reading your post. You won't have internet connection during Memorial Weekend!!!! Debra best stay up late and take your late night posting place!

Congrats on the 18.7 mph!!! It's funny how fast paced society is now with automobiles. I look at that and think Wow! But since I have nothing else to compare it to except maybe walking 1 mph :7, I think of driving in a school zone. I'm sure it feels much different and FASTER on a bike than in a car! ;-)

I hear you about new w/o dvds. When you find something that works as it sounds like you have, the interest isn't peaked. Although, Tony doesn't move anything like Shiva! And, she doesn't yell. ;-)

Are you ever tempted to work your right bicep to fatigue even it means less reps or a lower weight for your left arm? I'm going to try to increase my left bicep/tricep/entire side's strength. Do you think a few extra sets for the left side later in the week would help?

GET OUT! I enabled you to consider new workout clothes!!! What will you do about lying on your back? You know, you can always take the pants off for floor work! :p }( :7

The tickling midget masseuse! How do you train a child like that? I'm serious! Laughing only encourages their naughty selves. And, you can't help but to laugh! I started all of my dc in the art of knowing my back sore spots at an early age. LOL I like to cultivate my passions. ;) Their skills aren't worth writing home about in K, but my youngest son is better at working out knots than dh!

Thanks for thinking of Waves. I'm thinking she should be fine. Maybe, it's just a sinus infection. Thankfully, we didn't have to pay $800 out of pocket expenses for an MRI. Oh, which BTW, I have to tell Traci about my gf's normal MRI results.

Freaky Group Flow! I wonder what Indian word Shiva has for *this* ricocheting energy flow? LOL She's fond of letting the energy flow out and back again. I'd like to know how to get myself some energy to begin with! Getting some sleep would be a good start!

Never got around to playing with the nail polish. Maybe tomorrow, I'll let Tayler paint them. She loves doing that kind of stuff. It won't look pretty, but she's gotta start somewhere! ;-)

Talk more tomorrow! Time to drag Phil away from Halo Live. Nicole, tell your dh that the guns there are free. ;-)

Blessings,
Wendy
