Wendell & MIL due back here by 2pm so I have a lot I want to get done before then... I shall return w/ personals

What a lovely surprise! I thought you’d be gone all weekend! With your list of To Do’s I think I’d have stayed in Reno! DH had gone to Bambi Killing Fields for opening weekend…He did call & report that he “got one”. Always makes me so sad. ZIPPITY ^5’s for completing the final newsletter! What a *WHEW* that is! I agree on the cycles of clubs…A new a refreshed version will eventually emerge- just make sure theres someone to do all the writing so you can RIDE! Your day shopping/visiting/eating sounds like fun! I had a wonderful 3 hour “coffee” with a gal pal and we just could have sat & visited FOREVER! We are both at points in our life where we have shed all the “acquaintances” and focus our energy on those few who are very special in our hearts. We use to do lots of GROUP things and I was the first to break away 2 years ago – funny how the true friendships have emerged again are more deep & meaningful and so many of the others are just snippets in time. Have a FABULOUS day out with your favorite guy!

DEBRA :* X
Your opening statement yesterday left me laughing! Thanks!!!! Didn’t ya feel like you missed the invite to an early morning party? There was definitely energy in Xer land! Lol on no football attire! You shop more than any woman I know! I bet you found the cutest & prettiest little football outfit- my goodness you are such a doll what WOULDN’T look good on you? ~ So happy you are enjoying the boy toy! I think its GREAT you are feeling some joy and being treated like the gem you are. A younger looking man is a good thing! I LOVE the look of envy on ladies faces when they think you caught a young’un! As for my DH- well it’s looking more like I married for money every day! LOL

Nicole :* X
Lol on “straying” yesterday!!!! I still feel a twinge of guilt each time I do. Silly isn’t it? ROF losing a shoe so better clean!!!!!!!!! Great news about Holy Yoga! It is great when you find something that has no conflict when your beliefs. ENJOY!!! I tape Oprah every day just in case Dr Oz is on- He is a master! I need to head out tomorrow to add his latest book to my collection. I also TiVo’d the Discovery Health show on the same topic he just did- scary!!! I am having DH watch it wheather he wants to or not… I wanna live a long healthy life and I sure don’t want to be a widow in my 50’s!

SANDRA :* X
Stiff yesterday eh????? Well I guess that means there has been a NO SLACK ZONE in the basement! Great way to really bring it to those workouts!! ~ Would love to have you here but honestly my life is pretty darn dull comparatively- I think you’d be happier living at Jeanette’s- she’s active as you are…. I imagine Christmas much more exciting with children or even just a close knit grown family… Wendell & I don’t have that on either side so although we have a the HUGE in-law party (recall my stress level?) its really more to please his mom- once she’s gone DH said he sees no reason to continue doing. Very sad, but it is what it is. Lol on my silence on weight. Actually I could really care less about the scale anymore. I still weigh daily just to see but its all about my shape and lean-ness now. I still am striving for my perfect body fat% but I don’t know if its attainable the way I train or if I shall be a work in progress at all times- I’m FINE with that. I have ceased the love/hate relationship and instead have focused on putting only good into my body and the result is that my body treats me better. I guess that’s where my head is at these days. You notice all the details. Thank you for that. ~ I had a good chuckle about the hobby/$$/fat as well…I say to heck with the $$ & calories- do what brings you joy- ! Let us know about your creative workout yesterday!

TeddyGirl :*
What a nice day for you & sis! I hope all works out with your new venture! Sis/SE/Ted all in one day! BLESSINGS GALORE!!!!! BIG workout planned for today…. You be careful pushing all those muscles!!! Hope makeup nite with Ted was just heavenly!

LAURIE :* XX
Yippee you liked our workout!!! I think the 2 actually compliment each other VERY nicely – when you cut out Kenpo warm up (7 m) & cooldown (5m) then its really a 35-40 minute workout that has breaks! Add the 20 minutes of tough stuff in Cathes & lookie there… a PERFECT workout!
Hope you have another great day outside!

Amy X (XX on 11/15!):*
Thanks for info on Carry Along…have never heard of it- I will do some additional research. November 15th? WOW – the time just flew by! LOL- Well at least for the on-lookers! What are your plans & goals after this round? Are you now going to be in Maintenance mode or do you still want more muscle? ~ On pics- I think our Amy is a GHOST!!!! Lol HUGGERS to DD!!!

LEA :* X
So good to see ya on a weekend! How are ALL the boys in your house??? I sure hope you don’t catch or re-catch all the crud!!!! ~ I love your yoga / cardio plan… girl if it feels good do it! You know your body so well these days that I think you’d be foolish not to give it whatever its craving. XXOO

TRACY :* X
Ttom is such an energy zapper for me for about 3 days… You’ll be in full fighting form again really soon! I was laughing with the gals reading about your “fat”…goodness- will we women ever stop seeing that 1 centimeter of “imperfection”??? I’ll take you bodyfat over mine site unseen! I have also noticed that I am much more critical of my body when I have ttom blues- now I try and not look in the mirror on those down days. ~ Didn’t realize you had a bosu! How cool!!! I go back & forth on getting one- probably never will – just too many toys out there & I have no studio! My heart happy danced when you said you liked your new workout!!!! WooHoo!!!! Its been awhile since I heard you excited about one… So how does this w/o fit into a rotation?

MIA Xers :*
Hope all is well in your worlds and that everyone is getting all they want out of the weekend!

That’s it for this Xer… time to get movin’ & grooving and use this extra hour productively!

Round2/Phase3/Week11/Day3/Shoulders & Arms/ARX

:) Hello all!:) Good morning!

Family situation isn't good here today. I believe food served at the 50th party was tainted. DD and DH have been making trips to and fro the bathroom since 2A. Upon DH talking with brother to cancel today's ride, finds he and his family have "it" too.:-(

I've escaped the worst I believe. Whew!;) Real concerned about older crowd eating possible tainted turkey. I'll do some phoning to check on GGM (she's 87) and FIL later today.

I miscalculated graduation day by one week. Wishful thinking, should be Nov. 22. - Thanksgiving. If all goes well that would make for 92 days from start to finish.

TracyX- I'm thinking I'll pick a cathe rotation possible Nov. or Dec. '06. As I have most all the wo's she calls for.

Off to find some superhuman energy - don't feel like moving it this AM.:D

Amy X (XX on 11/22!):*
OMG Amy – I am so sorry to hear about the food terror! I do hope all will be well very soon {{{{huggers}}} – What a wonderful way to celebrate Jeanette’s Birthday & Thanksgiving – Becoming an XX’er!!!! Go Amy Go!!!!

Hi all,

I'm hoping it warms up just a little so I can go and ride my bike. It's only 45 now, and a little cloudy. If I don't ride, I'm doing Slo-mo upper and some sort of Cathe legs.

I need to do a little cleaning today and get out my winter clothes. I really don't want to do either, but if I don't clean some, the place will be a disaster by next weekend.

Traci - I had to laugh about the bambi killing fields. Last Monday, on my way home from work, within a two mile stretch, there were 7 dead deer. I stopped counting after that. They even went so far as to put up a flashing sign in one area warning of deer mating season. I was also laughing at your will power to continue with the rotation at least for a few more days. Sometimes I enjoy the structure and other times I want the freedom to choose. I've had a bosu for years and rarely use it. You could do all of Amy's dome workout on a step and she has a modifier that uses one. The core work is really nice and no crunches plus it didn't leave much room for using the hip flexors. I just can't do any ab work that engages my hip flexors because they got so tight, that I really am working hard to regain some flexibility in that area. I am convinced that it was part of my back issues.

Jeanette - I am so envious on your jump on Christmas shopping. I have bought a few things and DS wanted a road bike, now, so I told him that had to be part of his xmas. I am thrilled that I will actually have someone to go ride with and I can get off of that darn bike trail.

Lea - You know I love my yoga. I get a great workout and always feel so much better. I just commented yesterday that I will never give up the yoga. I just ordered the new Sean C. Amazon reeled me in on a presale. I had been wanting that for sometime and thought what's another $15.

TG - I like BM double upper. It is a good workout. I don't do the double set of dips though. That is just way too many.

Nicole - I have an old Kari A. I used to really enjoy her stuff. Did you find the shoe? Isn't the price of shoes ridiculous?

Debra - So what did you wear to the game? Did you go with your new friend. I am so happy that you found someone nice to spend time with.

I think I caught up with everyone else yesterday.

Tracy

Swifty - Sorry about the tainted food! It must be bad if DH is considering cancelling his ride. Less than 3 more weeks, you go girl.
I'll go check out the Dec 06 rotation. I'm always looking for ideas.

Tracy

Good Morning!

Previewed HIS last night. Thank goodness I decided to wait to do it AFTER previewing! I'm going to try it tonight when we get home. I'll be back then with personals.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Good morning, dear women! Hope everyone is having a glorious weekend with wonderful weather like we are having here. I had a great time at the game yesterday. I went with an old friend of mine who I have know for about 15 years. He is divorced and has 2 kids...one of whom is a junior at Carolina, so we got to see him yesterday. There is absolutely no romantic interest there AT ALL, but just a good guy to spend time with. We have a lot of shared history. Anyway....just ended up wearing a pair of jeans with a tshirt and Carolina sweatshirt....good thing I had on the sweatshirt, since it was windy and we were in the shade. I knew my friend would dress nicer, which was why I having the debate with myself to begin with, but then I was running late and had no time to make any big decisions. I spent a little too long chatting with you all yesterday morning....and then of course, there was Eoin! Today I have LIS...thank goodness Traci is doing the same rotation so I know what I am supposed to be doing each day!

************personals*********************

++++Swifty+++++ So sorry to hear about the tainted food. I hope everyone is going to be okay! I know it can be really tough of the kids and the elderly! Thank goodness, you don't have a bad case of it so that you can take care of everyone else!

+++++Tracy+++++ Hope you get in that ride today. It is nippy here this morning, too, but it has been warming up during the day. It's great you will have DH to ride with once he gets his new bike. I do wish I had someone to share my workouts with, but so far no takers! I rearranged my closet the other day too, in wild anticipation of cooler weather. I still have 2 loads of laundry to get done today, and I need to get to the grocery store. None of which is sounding like any fun.

++++Traci+++++ Hi there bachelorette! Hope DH and MIL had a great time chasing critters. My football attire was definitely more functional than cute, but my friend did make a comment about my skinny a$$, so it must have been okay...LOL! I am seeing my boy tonight, so I am looking forward to that...Wendell is a cutie...He reminds me of Hemingway! Have you guys been to Key West? he could get in the Hemingway look a like contest. You can't change up rotations yet....How will I know what to do each day?? So what do you consider your perfect body fat%? I'm not sure what my goal should be with that...and I don't think I am very accurate with the calipers anyway. I weigh every morning, too...more as a gauge than anything else. I am glad you are happy with your weight and leanness...It is so hard to find that balance as a woman, I think. I don't think men (in general) have the same hangups on body image.

I think that catches me up for this morning....I'll be back after I get all the critters up and fed and medicated and pottied to catch up with yesterday...

Trying to get some pics posted for you pestering xers. Hope I can get updated Round 2 pics posted soon. Fitness album is a throw back to July & Aug. You will find the first album a bore- updating needed but it has my avatar.

Here goes.

TracyX+++++++Sun shine doesn't look promising here today. Very cloudy:-( Enjoy you workout whatever you do.

DebraX+++++++++Game day sounds like a day. ;-) Spent with a good friend, crisp air, relaxing conversation, easy clothing and it never hurts to hear positive comments from the opposite sex either. ;)

TraciX+++++++do you eat the deer? It's very low in fat you know. Tasty if you know how to cook it the right way. Marinating steaks is the way to go. DH stopped hunting a few years ago. By personal choice. :7

Back for rest of personals.....

++++Wendy++++ Waving as you fly by! Hope all is well at MIL's and that you have had no more incidents with the postman.

++++Laurie++++ Hope you and all the critters in your house (2 and 4 legged) had a good day yesterday doing yardwork. No running the girls around??

++++Nicole++++ Glad you found a yoga you liked...Hope you found the shoe too! I always liked Kari Anderson too...Do you have her Curl dvd? It is a great ab workout...Pretty darn tough, too! Yes, I am a closet horror movie fan...actually I like thrillers more so than horror. I am not looking for blood and guts just spooky. Thanks for the info from Dr. Oz...I will have to go on Oprah's website to see if there is more info. Is DH home yet? You must miss him like crazy if not!

++++Teddygirl++++ Glad you had a good day with your sis...and then your man cooked for you...Wonderful! God bless your heart for doing Scrambled Eggs...You are a better woman than me!

++++Lea++++ Hope all of your boys are done with the sickies! I think your rotation is great. Do you have lots of yoga dvds or are you just going to use a few that you like? I need to get some more yoga dvds that I enjoy as much as Eoin. I do like Shiva, too. What is Sean Corne like?? I definitely feel more centered and balanced emotionally and physically after a good yoga session.

+++++Jeanette++++ You are such a busy bee! I guess you guys are using your wood stove pretty regularly now. I think you are right about the cycles of clubs...Everyone tends to get other interests and move on to something else. It's good to have folks to call when you want to ride, though. I haven't told XDH about the lawyer yet...I still have to get the final draft of the separation agreement, and I will let him know after that. I currently have on my pjs too...I need to get my workout clothes on pretty darn soon, though! I am sure you will a great time with DH and the pups today. And congrats on the early start to Xmas shopping!

Well....think that catches me up for now....Caught up with most everyone else yesterday. Hope all the missing Xers are having fun weekends! Kisses to all....

Good Afternoon:)

Tracie my dear thank you for reminding me about the time going back, need to set my clocks

I'm just getting up 20 mininutes ago working on 2nd cup of coffee. Last night was wild big hang over and I am tired. First thing I did when I got up was put on workout clothes, just ain't feeling it I need to hop back into bed with Ted feeling blah...blah...I got all day to do what ever, I'll will check back night..night..x(

7 pounds GONE!!!

I was so happy to see those darn things off the scale:D I have waited all week to check my weight. I have really been good and eaten clean with only a few bobbles.

Jeanette, Sounds like you had a nice time yesterday. It must put you in the Christmas mood. A trip out on the Rhino sounds nice. Is the weather nice up there? Sorry to hear about the bike club but you're right about cycles. It seems priorities shift here and there but most of us get back on track sooner or later. That would be fun to do a 1/2 Ironman and you're right about having it for motivation. I know it was motivation that kicked me in the butt this week to lose the weight:)

Traci-X, How was the rest weekend? Did you get some "me" time? I hope so. That show Dr. Oz did on Discovery was scary. I know I should be happy where I am and be glad I'm nowhere close to where they were. I laugh when I watch Dr. Oz because I am already doing 85% of what he says to do. I bet I would pass that test with flying colors but I want to see it on the outside:) You should definitely make Wendell watch!

Swifty, So sorry you all are are feeling punky today:( I sure hope your DGG is not sick. It is not as easy for the elderly to deal with food poisoning. Pictures, pictures, we love pictures!! You should have signed up for the P90X contests! You look awesome!!

Tracy, I hope it warms up a bit so you can get out. It is going to be a hot one here today so thinking it's too cold somewhere is out of my realm of thinking. I did not find the shoe. He is actually missing two single shoes and I have no idea where they are. I too need to switch out of the summer clothes but I think I'll be safe waiting a couple of weeks. I did KA before Cathe but once I found Cathe I was hooked!

Debra, I'm glad you had a good time at the game. I know you took my clothes advice subliminally yesterday:) Enjoy the time with your guy tonight! Yes, I have CURL and I forget to pull it out, it's a goodie! DH won't be home until Saturday and I miss him a ton! It's going to be a looooong week:)

Wendy, Yeah, you're coming home! Don't hurt yourself doing the new series:p Talk to you soon.

Teddygirl, Hope you feel better soon. Get good rest and we'll see you later:)

Good morning ladies,
Today was Christi Taylor's Totally Cool Step (all of it). What I did to make it more intense was not open the door to the backyard like I usually do, so I sweated more. Think I burned more calories if I was hotter LOL? It was really fun. One thing about her step routines, I can do them over and over and not get bored like I do with Cathe's. I love the dancier turns and pivots. She's just an exceptional cuer, it's uncanny. Keeps the fun in my workouts (for now anyway). Got to jump in the shower and then get ready to go with DH out to the woods. Right now it's pretty chilly outside so think we'll wait a couple of hours before leaving. It's a beautiful day out. I'll miss the bike ride, but there will be lots more Sundays where I can ride as it will soon be too cold for the Rhino (windchill).

Traci, that's right. Your DH and MIL went deer hunting. My DH puts in every year here in California, but hasn't been picked. He's building up the preference points though. I'm not a huge fan of deer meat, but elk I do like. So glad you had a nice time with your gal pal. Isn't it great to just sit and talk about anything and everything? Is she into fitness also? I hear what you mean about the not so true friendships being snippets. They all add up in the big picture. It does feel good getting some Christmas shopping done. If this little trip didn't happen, I'd probably be waiting until December to start as you know what a procrastinator I am. I think I need to find out who Dr. Oz is. Never heard of him.

Swifty, so sorry about the bad food. That can be miserable. Hope everyone recovers okay. Your pictures are fantastic!!! You are so lean and muscular!!! You really work hard and it definitely shows. Awesome physique!!!

Tracy, as I mentioned before, I would normally never start Christmas shopping yet, but it feels good that I did, and had such a good time with the ladies. Oooooh, a road bike for DS? What kind is he looking at? Will be awesome for you to have someone to go with you. I wish my kids liked to ride. My DS has incredible balance and could have been really good at Trials riding I think. He was into motocross, but gave it up when he got serious about his career as a lineman. Too many injuries in motocross.

Debra, sounds like you had a good time at the game. Nice for you to get out and date some other guys too. You definitely don't want to jump into anything serious too soon. We're getting lots of use out of the woodstove as it's our only heat source (except for electric baseboard heaters in house). Fire looks so pretty thru the glass. I saw the most beautiful tiled bathroom the other day at the spa and I want to do that in mine next year. It's a small bathroom, but I liked the idea.

Wendy, how is HIS? Yep, that 3rd combo gets me still too. It's not perfect, think I'm pivoting the wrong way or something to get the hitchkick thingie, but I always end up modifying somehow to get the gist of it.

Anointed, so you have a hangover? What were you guys doing???}( }( }(
Hope you feel better later on. I'm more of the even keel kind of relationship type. I don't like the drama. Pretty boring, huh? Hey, I didn't feel it for my yesterday's workout, but today I did. I got a nice bike ride in the late afternoon yesterday and that was a good one.

Nicole, ^55555's to you on the weight drop!!! It's amazing how much eating cleaner makes a difference, even more so than hard workouts for me. Way to go!!! Sorry you will be without your DH for another week. I'm glad mine is home every day. Need someone to keep the fire going LOL!

Well, I hear DH loading the Rhino on the trailer so I'd better get into the shower. He probably wouldn't like it if he's doing all the work and I'm gabbing on this computer (as usual).

BBL this afternoon,

Jeanette

Hi all,

I rode 28 miles. There was a nasty headwind on the way out and I felt like cra* for about the first 10 miles. My legs just felt so full of lactic acid, which finally did go away. About 7 miles out, some guy passed me and I paced myself with him until he got off of the trail. That helped to maintain my speed. I still ran out of energy at about mile 22 and had to eat a power bar. It wasn't as bad as some of the other days. I have to figure out why I am running out of gas. I think maybe too much cardio and not enough food. I'm going to work on my rotation after I finish this.

Wendy - What's the verdict on LIS?

Nicole - Glad the 7lbs are gone. After we ate out the other night I was bloated for a solid week. It's depressing because even though we all know that you just can't put on 3-4-7lbs in a short time unless you eat like a pig, it is still hard to get past until the scale or body gets back to normal.

Jeanette - Yes, I am so excited to have someone to ride with. Although I am a sort of a loner, so I really don't mind riding by myself sometimes. Once he gets his bike, we can venture off the bike trail. I'm scared to do that by myself. He's getting a Specialized something or another. It is carbon fiber, which he loves. The frame is real nice, but according to him it just has mediocre parts. He can eventually upgrade, but with the riding that we are planning to do, I don't think that top of the line components are necessary. LOL on the warm workout room. Mine is in the basement and it was so cold down there yesterday that I barely broke a sweat. DS asked if we were waiting until we all froze to death before we got the stove going or turn on the heat. DH still has to check the chimneys before we can start the stoves. The doberman is wearing her coat in the house.

TG - A hang over? I gave up the alcohol many years ago along with some other bad habits. I've never looked back. Well, sometimes if I am around a beer it sure smells good! Alka-seltzer always worked for a hang over. It tastes nasty going down though.

I'm going to try to get in some yoga, but DH just got back from FIL's so I may not be able to hide and do an hour of yoga.

Happy Sunday evening and Hi to all who are busy with their families.

Tracy

Hi all! Back for a quick hello. I completed LIS as produced and I really liked the step portion this time since it was the second time I had done it. I got all the turns and stuff down. I also went heavier with my shoulder weights and felt pretty burned out by then end. We'll see if I have any DOMS tomorrow. I forgot to mention this morning that I have DOMS in my obliques from yelling so hard at the game yesterday! It took me a while to figure out where they came from...LOL!

Tracy...Glad you got a good ride in today. How is FIL doing? I am assuming he is still at home with the nephew watching over him. I have to have my workout room really cold...I hate getting overheated during my workout. I think it has to do with all my perimenopausal symptoms....lol!

Nicole....Why is your hubby gone for so long?? Work, I am sure, but where? I know that must be tough on you since you are used to having him around. Congrats on the weight loss! Is it easier to eat healthier without DH around? It is always easier for me if I am not cooking every night for a husband to keep off the weight.

Gotta run...bbl!

Evening :) :)

How is everyone, sorry I haven't been on much to chat, but I'm goodx( I did just what I said I was going to do, I hopped right back into my bed. I slept a few more hours it was needed I had 3 glasses of red wine last night x(

This morning, I did an hour jog on me treadie, that's i :p. That was all I felted like doing. The hour on treadie was intense too incline up to 7.0 not the intire hour I did in 10 minute intervals.

I gave Ted a break today as far as cooking, I made pinto beans, corn bread baked chicken and rice oh I also made some jello.I still haven't watched SloMo hopefully tonight so I can do the dog gone thang in the morning. If not I'll figure it out. Have a wonderful night everyone:)

Debra, DH is gone hunting. He goes every year at this time and we all usually go together but this year we did our own thing in Yellowstone. I figure it's good for him to get away and it's good to miss each other. Should be fun when he comes home;) It is so much easier to eat good with him away though.

Tracy, Glad you got your bike ride in. I ate some Halloween candy at my mom's and I feel like crud now. Tomorrow will be back on track!

Teddygirl, I'm sure Ted was happy to have you cook tonight. Sounded yummy:9

Good Evening Ladies,

It's so gooooood to be home! We got some errands done and went searching searching several stores for a backpack for the laptop. Ended up buying one on the Internet.

HIS is DONE! The step portion was fun. The starbursts were particularly enjoyable. I have no idea why. They just seemed fun. I'm not a fan of some of the cueing and back to the tv when being introduced to a new combo. I was surprised I didn't work up more of a sweat with the step portion. Maybe, I will in the future once I get the steps down pat. However, I usually work harder when learning a routine. Anyhow, I felt weak from lack of adequate (read: healthy) nutrition, and it was apparent with the chest work. The back work was perfect for my present energy level. Of course, my body hasn't adjusted to the new time change. Those Supermans had me longing for Core Synergistics. Shut ME Up! I can't believe I typed that!!!:7

I'm restraining myself from doing any X workouts. The X, my bands, barre and yoga will be my constant workouts for two months. I think try Cathe's November rotation.

I'm so tired. I'll talk to y'all personally tomorrow. Gonna go kick my dog out of my spot, snuggle up to dh, and SLEEP!

Sweet Dreams!
Wendy
