Morning Gang! I sure wish wendell didnt have Sandy trained to wake up at 3am everyday! I am learning to sleep in a bit now but not when dads not home:eek:

Yesterday turned into quite the day....carpet cleaning led to mopping - mopping led to baseboards- baseboards led to walls - walls led to decorative ceiling thingy's - all that led to a very sore arm (IL) from the mopping action- sore lower back from standing for SEVEN hours on the hard ceramic tile and leg cramps - I took 1200mg of Ibuprobin & went to bed at 715:eek:

My arm is not happy with all that so i am re-thinking today and remainder of rotation til' Thanksgiving- (12 days)... Today I want stretching, bubbles, music, candles - What I think I'll get is stretching, grocery shopping, music...2 outta 4 aint bad :7

Will be back with personals

:7 :eek: :7 :eek: PERSONALS :7 :eek: :7 :eek:

Tracy
WOW on the avatar...my stomach did a 360 just looking at that ! I'd be very happy if my DS never did that again! :+ Thanks for the heads up about Amys Biceps...I didnt pre-read it but can tell ya NOTHING funky would have been good for me yesterday... A good deal of the pain comes back when I overwork Biceps. I do want to do Slo Mo Upper until Thankgiving but it may be with very light weights and/or modifications. Is there a particular move that you thought was risky or just overall? ~ I havent winter clothes shopped for years.... Our winters are so short that the few items I have get me buy without trouble and summer stuff never leaves our store racks so I tend to buy that to keep me reminded that I dont have wiggle room with nutrition!:7 ;-) ~ ~~~On the juicer... Oh my I love my green juices! My juicer was about 70 at Target but I can tell after just a few months of daily use its not as powerful! The one I REALLY want is VitaMix - 400.00!:eek: :eek: In my dreams. Because of the Apples and or carrots green smoothies/juice just taste like a lite fresh clean sweet drink..The lemon cuts the bitter green taste imnmediately- I use those by the boat loads! I finally found a use for all the lemons off my tree! . Its amazing how filling & how much energy you get with them... just natures power in action- I think you'd really get into it. Lea's my go to girl for questions although I have several books now.~~~ Hope the Anniversary meal today is super special. ~~~What is this new Shiva called? The one with all the extra instruction? I need that since I have no yogi to see here. ~~~I really am tickled that you have found one of your new purchass (Hi/Lo Dome) to be something you will use! That feeling of wasting $$ just sickens me.

Jeanette
I :+ about your "miffed" w/ DH! You are such a calm & sweet lady - I see your miffed as Cathes serious face! Just makes him luv ya more! Wendell likes to make me laugh when I'm really ticked... Then I get mad because he wont let me be mad! LOL ~~~ Another thing on your tummy blahs & jiggles... Dr Christiane Northrup (The Wisdom of Menopause) talks alot about caffeine... She said in our peri + years we will never lose the mid line jiggles as long as we drink more than 1 cup of java a day... :eek: :eek: :eek: When will I get brave enough to test this theory??? - ME TOO on that DM Drill w/ ball! Sometimes I use just a 3# DB!:p

TeddyGirl
Hope dinner was GREAT last night! You were so sweet to even clean for it- unless I'm in that kinda mood my guests see all the dog hair flying around}( ~~~~Nice weekend workouts as always...sure wish all this inspiration I get from Xers would actually equate to a normal rotation execution! :+ ~~~I need to work lower daily as well- thats the diff between you & me- YOU ACTUALLY WILL DO IT!:p ~~~CONGRATS on all your new purchases! I have to say that I LOL at you all the time... You'll freak about a car repair that costs the same as your clothes/shoes spree! I Just LOVE that rationalization! Thats a true woman for you!!:*

DEBRA
Hope you & DD played til' the sun came up! ~ I think its perfectly "normal" what CB is feeling about the lifestyle... How he may or may not be handling that is another story!;-) Actually if he were REALLY concerned I'd think he would have bailed after first visit to your home. - I hope you guys can work thru it... He seems like he makes you smile a lot. ~ Hope that tummy is feeling oh so much better today! Is it my imagination or is there alot of food tainted issues being reported in Xer land? Maybe when you hit a certain healthy level all the injected foods make us all sick?!

NICOLE
Hope reunion with DH was SINFULLY GOOD}( We probably wont see you for a week! :+ I always tell my guy to HIT THE SHOWERS and wash all the death smells off! LOL- That'll kill a mood real quick! }( }(

LEA
{{{{{{{{{your voice!}}}}}}}} I am so sorry you guys are having such a bad round of crud! That should maean tho that you can post alot since you cant talk?!;-) Take care of YOU now! Have that handsome honey of yours give you a full body massage!

SANDRA
What a busy Saturday you had planned! Are weekends busier than weekdays when you have children? ~ Aw shucks, I enjoy all your jabber too!:* What a wonderful high I get from reading about your high after a workout! Maybe thats burning some calories for me? Oh it MUST BE!

AMY (Swifty)
{{{{{{{{{{{{DD}}}}}}}}}}} GET THE LYSOL OUT QUICK!!!!!!!!!!! ~~~"congrats" on ttom early I guess! At least you didnt bloat for nothing~}( ~ ~~Is it warm enough? Oh my dear woman its in the mid to high 80's still here! Humidity makes it feel warmer! I did indeed have windows open tho... along with air conditioner to keep me cool!

All caught up my dear Xers... Hope Sunday is a HEALING day for all who need it and a FUN day for those healthy gals!:* :* :* :*

Hi all,

Today is S&H legs, probably some of Shiva's Creative Core, and surely some yoga.

DS has gotten a couple of concussions over the years and I've told him that one more and the stunts will be seriously limited.

I have to vacuum and clean up some because we are all coming back here for cake after the meal. I really didn't do much of anything yesterday and it was wonderful. I have to get my a$$ in gear today.

I felt bad yesterday because heavy GF came over and was commenting that she can't loose weight because she doesn't eat breakfast. To make a long story short, I said something to the effect that she is going to have to make some serious lifestyle changes whether she gets the surgery or not. It is such a fine line to be honest and not offensive, because I'm sure the weight is tied to something emotional. Plus, I think that we all make choices every day of our lives. Then I find out that the kids all went out to lunch right after that and she got some vegetarian sandwich that was loaded with some orange, probably cheese, sauce and a giant cookie, which she ate all of. Unfortunately, I don't think that she is mentally ready to commit to a lifestyle change. Ughh......Oh, and she also said that she is happy with the way she looks! I find that very hard to believe. I commented that it is just not healthy. In stark contrast to that, younger DS's GF is very thin and doing the P90X lean rotation.

Traci - I'll have to look into a juicer. My MIL used to make these crazy concoctions in a juicer. I eat healthy, but I know I could eat more veggies. The bicep move is the one where you are laying down on an incline step and rotating the arms around. Then she goes into bicep curls, with the band, while lying on the incline step. Both exercises seem to engage the anterior delt also, just from the nature of the positioning. I know that I had a twinge in that area right afterwards. It's better today. Overall, I still feel the most confident in the weight lifting exercises and routines that Cathe produces. Since my injury, I am sceptical of a lot of exercises, and I'm not so sure that all of these people who have dvds are that knowledgable about the mechanics of weight lifting, balance of muscles, etc.

I caught up with everyone else last night.

Happy Sunday!

Tracy

PS. Traci - Sorry about the sore arm. I'm just glad you didn't do that bicep work on top of the cleaning. I know that wouldn't have been good.

I so feel for you and having to normally bite your tongue with the GF. I believe that whatever people do to their body is their right and I work hard on not judging (its HARD!)... However- when they bring the subject up I do think that at some level they are looking for direction... I think that THEY think someone who looks/eats/lives as you do expects them to do/be the same... If somehow she could understand that changing just one unhealthy habit every couple of weeks can avoid some medical tragedies I think she could do it. I know that as a fit person even I am at times "intimidated" by you- I mean that in no mean way whatsoever! You just have your entire healthy lifestyle act together and during my "wandering" times I do wonder what WTH is wrong w/ me... YOU do NOTHING to encourage that- its my own insecurities that still linger in the body image area... having said that- GF really seems to be drawn to you- I think you did well in being direct... she must know that you care or she wouldnt go there. For me- the first & most important bad habit to overcome was not realizing that this body can only do so much for so long and the quality of that greatly diminishes when I am bad to it... Step One is usually having the person determine if they even WANT to live a long life without machines, surgeries, wheel chairs, oxygen masks... if they do want that - it becomes do I think I DESERVE that.... once those hard questions are answered I think changing habits one at a time becomes much easier. ~ Sorry for the long winded post - obviously a topic that touches my heart. ~~ Enjoy your wonderful workout plan today- a full plate indeed! As soon as I finish this post I am going to see what moves me on the yoga shelf. :*

Good morning. Today is Bryan Kest yoga. I am pretty sore after doing 80 minutes with Eion, but hey. And then I get to do some grocery shopping and hang out with the family.

Traci - You crazy woman. Do you want to come over here and clean my house up like that? I think that I have a floor that needs some mopping;). So sorry to hear about your shoulder though. You take it easy today and I hope that you enjoy whatever yoga you do. And I finally have my voice back, which I don't know is a good or bad thing, so I guess no massages for me:+.

Tracy - It is hard to bite your tongue around someone you know is doing harm to themselves. But I commend you for being honest with her. People just need to come around in their own time. I will take your advice and continue doing mainly yoga but with adding about two days worth of cardio/weights. I am curious how I will look toning wise from doing yoga. So thank you.

Hi to everyone that follows. I will try to bbl to catch up on more personals. Have a great Sunday.

Lea

Hi all..I'm lying in bed after a very long night's sleep...still in my pjs of course, and a diet coke...which I know is bad for me....but it is my thing! DD woke me up this morning....which I give strict instructions not to do on the weekends...but at least she gave me a kiss! Let's see...Cathe says I should do HIS with chest and back today...which sounds pretty good...I think I will go one more week with strictly 4DS workouts and yoga...and then next week, I will mix things up a bit. I have been hungrier than normal...which I think is due to the added cardio...I don't normally spike in huger with heavy weights...just cardio. I am still feeling my abs this morning from Shiva's Creative Core the other day. I am glad I got that one!! I have a massage scheduled for tomorrow and a visit to the attorney's. Today....I think I will mop the floor again and I definitely have to go to the grocery store. Why do I leave that until a day I am with DD...She likes to drive the cart, only she runs into things and people the whole time we are there.....but gets mad if I try to guide it. UGH. I taught DD to play Uno last night and she won a game...she was very happy about that...then a couple of games of Trouble and mommy was done for a while. We are supposed to watch Santa Clause 2 this afternoon. And then CB comes over for dinner tonight.

~~~~~Traci~~~~ So sorry to hear your arm/shoulder is feeling tweaky. I think you must tell Wendell that you need a housecleaner so that you don't injure yourself again. Especially since now your injuries can have an effect on your business!!! How do you like that rationalization?? My CB definitely makes me smile...which is always a good thing. I had a dream last night that you called and left a message on my cell phone...I picked up the message and there was this perky voice saying that you were worried about me and just wanted to call and check in....and then you said who it was...Isn't that funny??? I didn't remember it until I logged on this morning. I think you are right with everything you said to Tracy about GF...I just don't think that younger folks really think about the long lasting effects that their actions have on their bodies....They still think they are going to live forever.
~~~~~Tracy~~~~ I know you must have a tough time keeping your counsel with GF. Has she thought of going to therapy for the emotional issues she is having related to food? Or is this must not an option for her? I read Traci's post to you, too...and I think that kids just don't have the sense that what they do now will affect their later life. They are still pretty invincible at that age. I believe that is why so many women don't get serious about their health and fitness until they are in their 30's. Have fun cleaning today...not. As to the money thing, I have just come to realize that I have all the "things" I want (or need) and I, of course, want to be comfortable and not have to pinch pennies each month...but other than that I could care less. This has been hard for my XDH to understand. He has thought for years that I was with him mainly because of the financial security he brings.

~~~~Jeanette~~~ I think it is all about balance in a relationship...and how your lives merge together. You are also at a point in your life that you don't have kids to take here, there and everywhere. And it's not like you don't spend lots of time with your family...By the way , breakfast sounded yummy yesterday! Glad you got that bike ride in too. Hope the weather is good for you today so that you can go out with the club. I have never done DM as produced either...That is my inherent laziness coming out again!!!
~~~Teddygirl~~~ Hope you had a good time last night with Ted and his friend...No hangovers today I hope!!!

Well....I think that catches me up for now...I got to everyone else last night. Gotta get moving out of the bed at least to take out the dog...I am sure she is upstairs crossing her legs as I type! BBL to check on you guys!

Hi all,

Lea - I really believe that you have to do yoga for a while to really fully begin to reap all of the benefits from yoga. The more you can manage your body in space and effectively move your body weight, the more you can actually concentrate on form and then I think it becomes closer to second nature. Isn't it BK who comments that there is no perfect pose? I think that it probably took about 2-3 months for me to start to see the physical benefits of consistent yoga, but cuts and definition have appeared that were never there before. Not to mention my core. My core is tighter and more defined now than it has ever been and I have only done a handful of "ab" workouts since Jan. I think if you stick with what you have planned you will see great results, plus absolutely feel more grounded in your life. Can you tell I love yoga?

Traci - I do appreciate your comments. I also agree that because she has started discussing the weight issue, that she may be looking for advice or answers. I tried to ground myself with this topic by talking to DH and your comments were very similar, which helps me to put things into perspective, even though I really know them anyway. I know it is not easy for people to stop eating and make major life changes. I really have to try to temper my sympathy level and I do. Gf and I do joke that we are BFFs. I'm sure that self esteem plays into her weight issues. She comes from a divorced family, mom remarried and is consumed with a very extravagant lifestyle, at the expense of spending time with her daughers. It's just another example of how money does not buy happines, nor correlate with it. I would not in any way be intimidated by my healthy lifetyle. I probably have an addiction to exercise, which by some would clearly be labeled unhealthy. I am able to control my eating because of my food alergies. Cause and effect has taught me over the years that it is just not worth eating some stuff, and luckily that ends up being processed foods and chemicals. That being said, I do work hard to look the way I look, but that is my choice. So, in an effort to get everyone here working out, I suggested a calendar to DS, so that we could all write on it when and what we do for our workouts. I was slow in going to get it, so he went out and got one and now everyone, including GFs, post their workouts on the calendar. I think that has prompted heavy GF to start going back to curves. One thing at a time, although we all know how important diet is.

Off to vacuum.

Tracy

Happy to say YOGA -check!
I did the dynamic warm up from Willpower & Grace (I just LOVe the 3 Cher look-a-likes!) + Eoin- PY4H: Strong Free & happy- OH MY... This one is hard work compared to Magically Hips! I was a sweatin', panting fool! By Corpse pose I was noodle-ischous}( The extra dialogue in this one is priceless! :7

Next on my list is a green smoothie then a little meditation then probably a little nap.... HAPPINESS FLOWS

Lea-
Glad you have that voice back- I bet the boys needed to hear moms soothing words too:* You are brave to do Brian after feeling Eoin! i think Brian & Barone Baptiste are pretty darn close to Tony in terms of torture...I mean pose difficulty. ENJOY!

Debra-
My BFF in HS was an AM coke head - I couldnt fathom having a soda in AM but I've been known to throw back a few late afternoon}( I felt hungry w/ added cardio as well- me no like that!~~ OH I WISH I HAD CALLED! I still have your # (I think) unless you changed it on me when you moved....We will chat live one day I promise! I have had the great pleasure of chatting it up with Amy (florida) & Lea... Its so wonderful to connect live!! ~~~ ENJOY PJ day! I dare ya to wear them to grocery store!:+

Tracy
What a great idea about the family calendar! GENIUS!! I know when I started posting my BF%/WT (tanita scale) Wendell started looking at the correlation between the 2..he started logging his about a year ago - I have since stopped but he continues on... He is now FINALLY talking about working out 2x per week... its a start (the talking part!);-) My sister in CA needs to lose some weight so I told her to email Wendell and challenge him- if it comes from her he might do it... Thats why I think GF is blessed to have you near & dear... So often we dont listen to our S.O.- we just feel judged.

OK GALS- ITS TIME TO FEED THE TUMMY MONSTER! Hugs to all!

Hi all,

Just checking in before I go workout.

Debra - Shame on you and the diet coke! Sounds like you have a nice day planned with DD. I have hunger spikes when I do too much cardio. It's more like cravings for carbs. I get hungry with heavy weight training, but it's not so uncontrollable.

Traci _ I love strong free and happy. It is a nice combination of poses.

TG - Happy B day to your sister. We're going out to eat at 4:30. I've got to get going too.

Later,

Tracy

I had a good workout:) I forgot how much I love L&G. I found FitPrime/floor work staring the lovely Ms. Susan Harris in me collection. I may just work it tomorrow.

I really hate going out to eatx( We're going too Ruby Tuesday. I'm going to be good salad and baked chicken, that's it for me. Talk you guys soon :)

round2/Phase3/Week12/Day3/Back & Bi's ARX - oooo, the end is near I fear!

Just passing through quickly to say hello Tracy, Traci, TG and Nicole, Debra and all others who are hanging around for a Sunday solution today.

Dad called to ask if DH and I would rake leaves at his place today. We raked millions of wet oak leaves for a good 1.5 hours straight. I ate a quick luncha dn crashed for 1/2 hour. My upper is cooked fine!

The STeelers are losingx( Bad! But...

DD is feeling much better today! Hooray- should be good for school Monday.

:p Later!

Just wanted to pop in and say HI!

I am so happy DH is home:D I couldn't stop smiling when I saw him coming down the escalator at the airport. He looked so darned handsome!!!

Needless to say I am doting on him today but I wanted you all to know I haven't forgotten you.

Talk to you soon,

Nicole
