Xers & Sunday Siesta's

Hi all! Just wanted to let you know that I am still alive. I ended up doing Bryan Kest Tone today...which I actually had a hard time staying balanced...my head was all over the place...and it was tough to concentrate. But I am feeling a bit better....I got my presentation together for tomorrow...and then I have to go to DD's school for about 30 minutes or so....I hope none of the germ infested urchins give me any diseases. I promise to be back with personals tomorrow. Things are calming down here a bit...And now instead of being hurt I am angry...and I guess that is where I need to be to deal with all of XDH's BS!

Hope everyone has had a great weekend...and I will be back to catch up with you all tomorrow! Thanks for all the well wishes...
Debra

Hi ladies,
I'm late checking on here today. Got my bike ride in today. There were 4 of us that rode and the temp was 29 degrees. When we were done, it had warmed up to 34 degrees. We have an inversion going on so it is holding the cold air down. Bet if we drove out of town a ways and up to a higher elevation it would be warmer. Anyway, we rode 36 miles today and my legs were toast when we were done. It was a good ride and my clothing was all adequate for the temps. Got home, ate some of DH's leftover chicken vegetable soup, took a little siesta at around 2 p.m. and then DH and I went grocery shopping. A nice weekend I must say.

On to personals:

Traci, did you get your alarm clock figured out yet? That's so funny, but probably not at 2:45 a.m. I'm also with you on wondering how PM exercisers get their workouts in. Seems like the gods have been against me with my bike workouts for sure. I'm again planning on the Wednesday night spin session with the Garage Boys. Guess they went out yesterday when it was sunny and warmer and got 53 miles in. Did you get that shower/toilet cleaned? I should be doing that but oh well. The birthday party for 9 year old grandson was really fun. Actually DH's XDW was their too, she usually is, but it doesn't cause any kind of problem or awkwardness at all. I actually like some things about her and can leave the rest. There was a houseful at DD's home. Very fun and I had birthday cake and ice cream. Thanks for the heads up re: Weight Watchers. I enrolled last night online and went shopping today and actually tracked my points. I guess I'm so tired of eating the same old stuff all the time so I'll go with the Flex Plan for now and see how it goes. Yep, Tillie needs help getting on the bed as it's kind of tall and she's short. Doxie's can have back problems so we don't want her straining too much just to get on the bed, though she leaps off at will. We are going to watch the Lonesome Dove premier tonite. Starts in about 20 minutes. Glad I have my laptop and can sit out by the TV.

Swifty, Happy Birthday to You!!! Ooooooh, a new HRM is very exciting! I have a Polar M32 that doesn't work near the TV set or high wire lines. Have heard good things about yours though. Did you cash in on the massage? Bet it was a wonderful day for you.

Tracy, you are absolutely right about me not wanting the pudginess to stay. Bugs me to death. Ride today was good and has me enthused about more riding this year. I just have to plan my rides and golf so that I can do okay at both. Our limit of dogs is 2 as if we have 3, one gets left out a little more. How close do you live to your folks? I love having mine so near, especially as they get older. I think you should go for the personal trainer cert. You'd be awesome!!!

Lea, good job with Imax3. I've only done the first 5 combos, but really enjoyed them. I was surprised that I would as I always heard about all the impact. I like the music and choreo in that one.

Sandra, I do have CTX and use it occasionally. I used to use it a lot. When I go back and do the cardio, I'm always surprised at how intense it is for such a short time. I have members of my family with some health problems too. I think that my Dad would have an easier time breathing (COPD) if he lost that gut of his. It's got to press on his lungs. He loves eating way too much. I would love to get my Mom out golfing with me. Think she'd enjoy the game. They are both so darned practical and don't allow themselves those kinds of indulgences. However, they do go visit friends and relatives a lot, something I could definitely cultivate more in my life. Wow, you lost a ton of weight on WW! That's incredible! Well, I'm going to give WW a shot. Like I said, I won't know if it's for me unless I try it.

Wendy, sounds like you are leaving soon. When? How long will you be gone from us again? Kudos to you for buying some things for those less fortunate. I too am not buying STS, at least not now. I need to get more of a handle on my eating. Don't worry about being at the retreat in top shape, I doubt I will either, but who cares? I just want to meet you and everyone else. It's going to be quite the experience I'm sure! I need to make a call to the animal shelter tomorrow and see if they have any puppies. Also check the radio swap shop show as they always have puppies on there.

Kim, oh my gosh, 32 below, now that's serious cold. Please take care and no frostbite!

Carol, sorry about the power outage, so aggravating!! Hope the rest of the day went better for you.

Nicole, hope you are feeling better today. Bet you had a great time at your mother's birthday dinner.

Debra, glad you are better today. Divorce can be so nasty. I was hoping it would go smoothly for you. Good luck on your presentation!

Got to go now, Lonesome Dove is on.

Jeanette

Just walked in the door. What a stressful drive to MIL's house. The rain was coming down hard. My nephew's car needs new windshield wipers, tires, and breaks. I was hydroplaning a couple of times in Jersey.

Anyhow, my dog did something bad while we were gone. She didn't come barking when we walked in the door. Now, she's hiding underneath my computer desk. She only does that when she's scared of lightening or guilty. Phil's all CSI trying to find what she did. :7

Debra: HUGS! I'm sorry to hear that XDH is giving you grief. You are such a sweet woman. I get viscous angry before I break down sobbing (the UGLY cry) and allow myself to feel hurt. Divorce can be nasty. Don't let your guard down!!!

Nicole: Thanks for the alert. Nope, no PM's for me. Maybe, it's cuz I'm too lazy to have a Meez wearing skin tight clothing waving a friendly HI! to all our lovely lurkers!:p :7 :+

Okay Ladies, in another hour, Traci will be waking up to Piano Man. I best get some sleep. Talk more in the morning or afternoon.;)

Sweet Dreams!
Wendy
