Xers SUNDAY... home of discarded Cheetah bunnies

I'm awake! I'm awake! LOL I didn't get to bed till 11:00 last night, and I didn't take a nap or kill anyone!

What's all my Co-Xer's doing today besides creating a LONG novel for me to read tonight? I bet it'll be a good one though! Can't wait!

I'm truly let down by you ALL. (Maybe not, I have to go back and read all of yesterday's posts.) I could be wrong, but NO ONE reminded me to add Shoulders & Back to my to-do list!!! So, it didn't get done. AAAAAHHHHH    I take no responsiblity for YOUR forgetfulness. LOL Heck, I had to call Phil for my PIN number while I was at the checkout!!! See what happens when you don't get enough sleep. Cashiers begin to think you are "special"!

We got a lot of other not so fun things done though. Shopping, shopping, cleaning, finished taking piano apart, cleaning, and more shopping. Dh says, "We don't have dust bunnies; we have Drabbits!" Drabbits = dust bunnies grown into multiplying rabbits. What does he expect since he gutted my kitchen? I'll place my kitchen cabinets orders this week! Yeah!!! Finally, no more ghetto kitchen for me! :) :) :) :)

I shall return after eating dinner and my chocolate swirled cheesecake to read, read, read, read and reply. Hopefully, y'all will be up late tonight to read it.

Happy Hoppy Easter Everyone!!!

Wendy

Shelly C: I see I'm not the only one who lurks on the other check-ins! About your chocolate bunnies, torture me all you want, but I'll never confess!! I'm almost positive they went to a good home though; a place where they would be truly, deliciously and passionately appreciated! }( :9 ;-) :)

Traci-X: You won't find my dog roaming the streets anymore! Now, I can't speak for Sandra's dd. :7 (Sorry Sandra... I'm sure she's safe and duct taped to the couch as I type!) Dh has been working his way out of the doghouse all weekend! He's fortunate that Baby is more forgiving than I am. All she needs is a pat on the head and she's in heaven! However bad you did with eating today, know in your heart that I did worse, much worse. And, I'm okay with that too! LOL Yes, I've been meaning to talk about Dreya. Not that I don't like her or mind her moaning. I just don't like how Tony fawns all over her. Not that I'm jealous. It's just that I think the background music for L&B should be, "I Wish That I Had Jesse's Girl".

Sandra: Honey, watch and learn. LOL When your man does something terrible enough to put him in the doghouse... Oh, say, not notice his toddler toddle out the front door in freezing conditions ;-)... you are able to get them to do pretty much anything you want. I'm not saying it's right to manipulate, just saying you CAN if needed. ;-) I never realized we had the highest number of posts. Cool! See, we are the Chattiest and the Best check-in! Shhhh, don't tell the RoadTrippers I said so. I have to see those strong, fit, wonderful, "wouldn't hurt a fly or me" ladies in August.

Jeanette: I would love being able to not have to think about cooking! But, the kids and dh would surely revolt. Yes, Phil is a good guy. The flip side to this is that I can never complain or vent about him to family and friends. They always take his side or make up every excuse in the book for him! I think they feel sorry that he has to put up with my once a month drama. LOL

Laurie: Now, there's something I've never ever made. Orange Fluff...Yum! I would ask for the recipe, but I don't want to be accused of sabotaging! :p

Deb: Congrats on finishing week one! I don't blame you for only doing half of the Yoga. It's soooo long. I really like Kenpo. I find it easier than KPC. However, I've never worn my heart monitor for KPC to compare.

Debra: LOL at having Jeanette's dog teach Sandra's dd on how to get in the house! I think it's an awesome game plan to turn your head while I eat my sweets. ;-) Did the purple dye wash out or are you still looking bruised? We didn't get around to coloring eggs this year. Either my kids forgot or were too busy tiptoeing around to remind my zombie self.

Tracy: Did your mom get over you not being able to make the 12 hour drive? Oh, no! You're in the right spot. I have no energy when I'm tired. I didn't even work out. If I had a possible herniated disk, I wouldn't even think of doing LIC!!! I'm a wimp that way! ;-)

Lea: Glad you were able to break out to let us know you're still alive and kicking! I hope you and your boys had a wonderful Easter! Maybe, the Easter Bunny will bring you some DDcoffee next year. I no longer am the owner of a Baldwin upright piano. Yeah!

Well, yesterday's posts are caught up. Now to read today's posts.

Traci-X: I hear big girl panties are in vogue over in Europe. Sorry, you're not allowed to move. LOL about the BB 30 day, gained fat pics. If I continue the way I am, there's a good possibility they might get one! Good for you! Planning and preparing your meals for the week. Now, if only I could manage to lift you back up on top of that towering pedestal. How are your butt OUCHIES or is it OUCHAS?

Sandra-X: Nothing like having the Easter Bunny wait until the last minute. Who am I kidding! The Easter Bunny didn't make its pit stop until after the kids left for breakfast. Since you can claim the EB on your next census, can you take a tax deduction for him too? :) What an inquistive child you have! What's she gonna think when she finds out the EB isn't r _ _ _. (fill in the blank since you never know who lurks these here pages) Did you ever watch SouthPark when one of them finds out the EB isn't _ _ _ _? It was the funniest episode ever. Yes, ladies, I watch junk tv! Anyhoo, we did our ham in an electric roasting pan. Yummy! :9 Don't apologize for the inane chatter. That means I'll have to start aplogizing every day!

Lea: Now, why didn't our EB think of that! Our EB left chocolate eggs, a ton of those nasty peeps, assorted miniture candybars, lolipops... Well you name it, anything with lots of sugar. Unfortunately, the EB didn't hide any eggs this year. He has been known to hide over a hundred just for my litter. A handful of those didn't get found until June. The sad part was that those weren't the ones containing any money. Ewww, I know!

Jeanette, I know who's hosting any X'er get-together! Your BBQ sounded delicious! You are soooo sweet doing all those dishes by yourself! My sister hated doing dishes among other household chores growing up. So, she never made her 6 kids do them. Yes, she has 6 too. Yes, you can only imagine how lazy they are when it comes to helping around the house! But, that's different from your situation. Good luck with your TT on Tuesday!

Welcome Amy! Please feel free to join the chattiest and best check-in! ;-) I can't help you with the eating. It would be like the blind leading the slightly seeing impaired.

Tracy: I think I've discovered my weak point. I don't plan ahead like you healthy eaters! I just continually prepare and confront myself with cellulite loving foods because I don't plan any healthy alternatives. Hope you weren't too tempted at your BIL's house.

Debra: Did you get your workout in yet? I still have to do A&S, ARX and Yoga. I'll do A&S and ABX tonight and do Yoga tomorrrow morning. That will get me back on track since NO ONE was kind enough to remind me to do the X yesterday while I was in my zombie state! Were y'all tiptoeing around me like my family? ;-)

Ok Ladies,

I'm off to wake dh up from his nap. I have to wait until my dinner and cheesecake digest before attempting ARX and A&S. So, it will be a late workout. What's new! Never fear, I'll refrain from posting my day's menu. I'll try to BBL and chat a little more.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Hi everyone- I'm sorry that I just had time today to skim all the posts so if I've missed alot, please forgive me--

Sandra-thanks for the advice about doing stretchx today instead of yogax today but I didn't see it until I had already finished yogax (I only got to 1/2 hour of it last week) but it went well-

Lea-just e-mail me when you get time-I appreciate any input you have and there is time for me to plan still-you've been so helpful already-

my thoughts so far cuz I'm a newbie to P90X-I really, really like it-all of it-every workout I tried I liked- I have never been able to do kickbox moves and after that tape-Kenpo is it? I could kick out farther & with good form-I'm psyched-I've never done yoga before but after finishing the whole w/out today I felt great-after Easter festivities I'm going to concentrate on my nutrition cuz everything else I'm loving-this workout- it is fun-

I just have one question-on all my fitness tests I did fine except for pull ups- I could not even do one-will this improve?

thanks everybody--deb

Hi ladies...I am here with my kitty beside me snoring...she's getting so old! I did get my workout in. I did Gym Styles chest and Tris..and I used the mix and match feature after I got through the push ups...then I alternated chest and tri exercises. By using the mix and match I was able to go heavier with all of my weights than I would have been able to if I had just gone straight through. And it was more like an X workout. I will do this in the future with the gym styles series since it seemed to work so well! Then I did Self-Flat abs...This is a pilates based ab routine that is very slow and controlled. There is some stability ball, some pilates and yoga based moves and lasts about 20 minutes for the ab portion.

Deb...Glad you are enjoying the X so much! Kenpo is one of my favorites too...I like it better than most of Cathe's kickboxing since it doesn't move as fast and you have time to really concentrate on your form. I got better as pull ups, but still couldn't do any at the end...but I was closer. There are plenty of other Xers who can do many more than me!

Wendy...Glad your family was able to stay out of your way as much as possible yesterday. And glad you DH has mended his errant ways! Have fun with Sh and Arms and ARX tonight! And then what...yoga in the morning?!? You go, you buff babe!

Hope the rest of you survived your Easter festivities..I'm ready to send a search party out for Traci to make sure she didn't drown in MW and Velveeta! Gotta go and get those matches out of DD's hand and get her to bed!

Hello Xers,

Had our group bike ride, only 3 riders today, which was fine. Did 25 miles at an easy pace as I didn't want to fry my legs before Tuesday. Came home, ate my lunch and then took a little snooze. After that, got up and cleaned the kitchen. Mom and Dad came by to pick up their picnic table that they loaned for yesterday's party. Had a nice visit with them. They kept saying what a nice evening it was for them last night. I just put my aero bars on my bike, rearranged my computer to sit on the bars and will now go out and wash my bike, oil the chain, etc.

Traci, you are absolutely right at me needing to unload those carbs this week. My body definitely does not need all of them to function. Reminds me, I was supposed to send home the leftover ice cream with Mom & Dad and forgot. How was your doings today at your MIL's? Hope you enjoyed it. I'm getting more to the age where I'm appreciating time spent with my family and don't want to remember or be remembered for obsessing about food, and missing out on enjoying life and family because of not wanting to eat poorly. Thanks for the Go Go vibes for me for Tuesday's TT. I will be thinking of your support, hey, what else do you have to think about when you're on the bike suffering? May have my DH talked into going to cheer me on too. Really, there's not much for him to see, only me leaving and coming back in over 30 minutes time. Maybe he'll visit with whomever is at the parking area. I have a friend that isn't riding the TT on Tuesday cuz he's been sick. He says he's going to take pictures of all of us going by the electronic speed sign at a school that we ride by (it's on a hill and usually into the wind). 9 mph is not fun. I did Turbo Jam Cardio Party with my weighted gloves and could feel it too. Enjoy those pushups tomorrow.

Lea, I'll have to check out Tosca's Inca Porridge. Wonder what's in it that makes it "Inca"? I love porridge of any kind, could eat it every meal except I don't need those carbs. Love them, yes, don't need them though.

Debra, I was really hoping the fairies had cleaned the kitchen, but alas, every wine glass, cup and mug were still sitting on both sides of the counters. Took me a long time to do, but really don't mind doing it the next day. Thanks for the well wishes for Tuesday's TT. I'm looking forward to it and hoping it's not a windy day. Those are disheartening, but I just look at those rides as my one "hard" bike workout for the week.

Wendy, LOL re: having to call your DH for your pin number! I've had a few moments like that before. Gosh there have been times that I've looked at my name on paper and wasn't sure I had it spelled right. You sure are one busy woman! Do you play the piano? I love listening to the piano but never took lessons. Did sing alto in a 4 person acapella choir for about 10 years and really enjoyed it. Why did you take apart the piano? Some day I hope to have a nice, big kitchen. Mine felt really cramped yesterday with everyone there. Maybe I'll hit the lotto some day, but guess I'd need to buy a ticket to do that. Just not much of a gambler. I'd love the cheesecake recipe and the Stampede recipe if you could manage it. Could you PM me with them? I love trying new recipes. The Applebees Blondie Brownie recipe was definitely a hit last night.

Better get that bike cleaned,

Jeanette
