Xers......Satisfying Sunday..................

taprice

Cathlete
Hi all,

It is looking more and more like Traci didn't get an internet service provider or it took her all day to get that straight! I haven't changed mine to the fiber optic they ran down our street because I don't want to have to make the phone calls and deal with the installation etc, etc.

I finished up yesterday with Amy's Slo Mo legs, but only did 2 sets instead of 3 because the rotation only called for PP. Then I did my favorite sequence of Fluid Power. Unless we get home early today, I'm counting my walking/trudging through the woods as a workout.

Jeanette - I think little dogs are much harder to train than bigger dogs. It's not because they are not smart, they are just more stubborn. Plus, you don't even notice when they slip off to go pooh. I guess they have to be feisty and perky or they would get clobbered. The laptops have come way down in price. You could probably get a good one for a few hunderd bucks. My parents dog is 12 and my Dad thinks she's going to live forever. It will be very hard for them when she passes away.

Have a great Sunday.

Tracy

Tracy- Have a fabulous day ! I know you love going out to your land!!! YES I thnk that counts as a workout day...

To all- I shall return with personals in a few momento-s:7

Yesterdays w/o never happened with all the sitting on hold phone time... We were able to find an AT&T # for Saturday folks- Looks like fisrt available service for us is DEC 3rd! We'll switch all services over to them... If we go "black" we go "black" nothing anyone can do at this point. DH has a call into his partner to see if they want to chance the ISP going down or move all systems to their office building... They would have to take customers down about 48 hours tho. - DH taking the day off from "thinking" and going to The Texan / Saints game today & release testosterone with some clients..:7

I did feel like I needed a rest day at any rate- I had 6 consecutive days & 3 of those days were "DBL" workouts- PLUS being PMS week- yeppers- I needed to rest.... With DH gone today tho I am doing a double day of Long & Lean + Lower Body Strength my client did on Friday... I'll post that for you later....

Back with personals after I get some laundry started. :7

Back with Personals:

AMY: X Phobic!
Its so good to see you around more!!! CONGRATS on whipping out that HIIT- even tho those sessions are short they are HARD! ~ We HAVE all been chatty lately- I attribute it to the cooler temps- we all get FRISKY}(

Jeanette x: XX'er in Training!! :7
Well by now I bet you are the proud owner of new PINK golf shoes!!! Gotta match the bag dont you??? LOL @ Warden walking in on Crow!! If you are doing CRANE you could tell him you are constipated! :+ Oh no ANOTHER Baby Back Ribs fan? DH could eat those every meal! Personally I hae never been a BBQ anything fan... I like GRILL - DH says its because I'm a Californian & we never learned to eat REAL food!:+

Nicole x: XX'er in Training!! :7
Are we all festive out there??? I am waiting on the dreaded word from In-Laws if I am elected to host the annual Xmas Party AGAIN...So far we've been married 6 years & I've put up with ---- I MEANT put on 6!:7 IF we are blessed to NOT be hosting then the table linens that are already out will be my only decorations this year... Its a 2 day process to put up & take down & Wendell & I really are just plain tired this year. Fingers crossed ~~ PLEASE post your X plan when you have it- I am looking one week at a time to not get overwhelmed. Week one will be LEAN- AS WRITTEN jsut because my week is slammed with activity & appointments... I will definitely be adding in Yoga as many days as I can and in future weeks other legcardio drills... I love doing legs that way!

Debra x: COACH!! }(
I changed your title to coach is that OK? :* ANOTHER fully decorated house?OMW this is going to start making me look bad!
ROF!!! I just KNEW you had a booty call! LOLOLOL ~~ VERY cool you got your meditations!!! Keep me posted on who you like & dont... I am enjoying the Bernie Segal Series immensely. All of his seem to be bout 20-30 minutes- 2 per CD so thats perfect for me. ~ Dont ya know that Xers work so hard that at times we need 2 and even at times 3 days off aweek?}( }( }( Thats MY story! ~ I LOVED your summation of Xer Saturday!!! You wrapped it all up so nicely!!! Could you do that every day for me as sometines I skim and miss details!!! HO HO HO HO HO HO HO

TRACY x: COACH!! }(
After doing all of Slo Mo 3x thru now I had to laugh because my take is just about as oppistite of yours as it can be! LOLOL- I think you and Wendell would be a happy married couple- you seem very much alike in many ways! Want an early Xmas crate???? }( }( }( Slo- Mo: I am not crazy about all the leg exercises but that may because I dont think its safe doing with heavy enough wts for me w/out risking injury so I feel I'm not getting anything out of it... I do plan on adding Slo Mo Legs onto my Tony Leg Days but at a different rep/pace count- that might be the ticket... As for upper body: I have seen great results already and I feel every muscle for 2-3 days after I work them... I've had no close calls with injuries on those but that could be because the biceps moves I have been doing for a long time... The incline work feel great to me- I just lighten up wts. ANYWAY! Thats why all these instructors can be in business I guess!
:7

Carol: Virgin X'er in Training!! :7
Hope CF was fun for you! Have never done more than a quickie preview of mine & never will- i just dont do that kind of long cardio any more... It looks fun tho as I adore the music in that series.

DOGGIES ARE MAKING ME CRAZY! I need to go amuse them for a bit and come back to talk to everyone else!!! I'm only thru 1/3 of the day! (Bottom first);-)

I swear I'll be right back!!:* :* :*

Laurie xx: XXX'er in Training!! :7  :7  :7
What a day you had! LOl on your DH- Mine is more like Carol's- no prob sitting doing nothing while at home!x( Poor Decoy! It must be hard for animals to be in unfamiliar environments..I think we forget how much mommy & daddy mean to them. Its hard on you too for sure!! Hope you got more sleep and are feeling like a Chicago jaunt- how fun!

Wendy x: XX'er in Training!! :7
Are ya counting down the seconds yet? How is the CA by the way- calling you daily checking her To Do / Pack list???:7 Better you than me girl! LOL on Long & Lean... I'll tell ya about it after I do it again- its been months since I pulled it out... All I recall is alot of HOLDING + LOW pushups held for LONG time (yogis just use a fancy word- its frigin' pushups!) & many many back, tricep DOMS for days after.... Its Barone baby- he talks so much only because you cant focus on what you are actually doing for so long without crying! OH- & its only 55 minutes! Thats what I recall...:7 Congrats on being a virtual aunt? LOLOLOL

Lea x: Coach!! :7
Whats this- you "tried" doing ARX? Cracked me up!}( :+ I may 'try" it a few times in XX... Probably just the first week as I doing it as produced.... Hope DS and you had a great date day!! Thats so cool you do that! Will make him value women vs hate them forever! See how you are changing the face of America???

Sandra x: XX'er in Training!! :7
HOW IN THE HECK CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME??????? - Ya just HAD to start a week ahead so you'll be done while we all complain & toil in week 13! :p :p As far as your cardio assessment of X- Its totally right on - however let me throw this out- Isnt that exactly the way Tony planned/wanted it? --I shall be the guinea pig for all you who call the cardio "lacking" - When I melt my bodyfat to 12% and have done Lean AS PRODUCED will you cease calling X Cardio inadequate? Thats it- I MUST save Tony from all the cardio bashing! cardio X happens to be one of my favorite X workouts!:p - Its OK- Tony & I will show you all!! :7 :7 ~~ Thanks for heads up on OD- I actually have used Vegan Planet a bit & do like the recipes- what I have learned NOT to like by eating raw is that cooking is a time killer! LOLOLOL ... Thats the best part of eating raw - NO COOKING! Zippity - enough to change a girls whole outlook on the kitchen!
}( }( Hope Shiva Heart was in the cards yesterday... Please share the details!

Tracy x: Coach!! :7
Yes ANOTHER post to you! - Thansk for the overview of your workouts- GOOD LORD you SHOULD have the best legs in town! I shall never desire it enough to do that many workouts PLUS yoga everyday... YOU GO GIRL & ^5 for you wanting it badly enough... :* Sorry about the recipe exchange idea... i have nothing creative to add- Basic boring everything as DH & I choose not to go overboard for just the 2 of us... Hope the other Xers have something to share!

Ok Kids we are all caught up on each others lives except for last night events of interest! I shall look in on everyone a bit later today!!!:* :* :* :* :*

Good Morning Xers!!

Today I'll be doing the 4DS HIS as produced. I think we're skipping church, though, due to the germ infestation, so I may end up adding on for an extra dose of }( With T-giving less than a week away, my body can use all the extra cals burnt it can get!

Tracy -- So far, so good. Thanks for the thoughts.

Debra -- LOL! I should definitely try the sanitizer ;-)

Nicole -- My DH is a geek, too, lol. He works for our cable company (which is nice b/c we get free cable TV and modem) on the internet side. He supports servers and such. He doesn't sound nearly as handy as your DH, lol. He sounds very versatile!

Amy -- Great job with the HIIT! I'll be doing some next weekend at my mom's on her treadmill. It always manages to kick my butt in about 20-30 mins.

Traci-X -- UGH! What a nightmare with your ISP!! I wish I could send DH over there with a cable modem and get you hooked back up! I'm glad you took a needed rest day, too :) I try not to go more than 6 days without a rest day myself. CF is one of my favorites. I don't do it terribly often b/c of the length, but it's great on a weekend when you feel like really sweating with Cathe!

Hi to everyone else! I hope you all have a great day!

Carol

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has good weather and a fun day planned. I got a little Grinchy last night once I started with my Xmas stuff...2 of my prelit trees were not working (yes, I have multiple Xmas trees) and of course, it's the 2 I was going to use...then I start unpacking boxes of ornaments only to find that the movers did a really shi**y job of packing them and a lot of ornaments are broken....And there is absolutely nothing I can to about it since my time to report stuff is over...I was really po'd though...So I took a bit of a break and looked online for Xmas trees and found this glorious webiste called christmastressgalore.com and they have ALL kinds of trees! They had pink, purple, gold, silver, black, royal blue, fiber optic, and of course your regular green ones too....So I ordered a white prelit tree and a gold tree and my Grinchiness was gone! I am headed out this morning to get my regular little green tree so I can at least get one tree done this week...as well as my other Xmas goodies out. I am actually toning it down a bit this year since it is just DD and I and we are not having any parties or anything....Normally I do 4-5 trees plus tons of other doo-dads...but this year I will only do 2 plus the gold one that I just couldn't resist! I know many of you may be asking why I use prelit trees instead of live ones...but after working so many years in retail, I just got used to decorating artificial trees and now I can't go back...Also they are a lot less messy...I have a couple of balsam scented candles that I use and I always get real wreaths and garland....Now that you all know way too much about my Christmas fetish, I will move on to other topics!

I did get some exercise by walking up and down the attic stairs about a hundred times yesterday. I will do LIS today...I promise! Cb is also meeting my mom for the first time tonight. Since he is coming to Thanksgiving, I wanted them to meet before that day when he just walks in and plops himself down to eat! I also have to do some grocery shopping since I am responsible of the desserts, the wine, and some sort of green casserole...DD is voting on broccoli.

personals........

Traci...I am so sorry about all of your server problems...I guess you guys have no other recourse, but that really su**s!!! Glad Wendell is off enjoying himself today since there is nothing he can do about the problem anyway...Poor guy..and poor you for having to deal with all of this over the weekend...Yuck! I will certainly be around to coach you guys...I am a much better coach than a player anyway! I will do lots of cheering as well....DD has some lighted pompoms that she is using in the parade this week, so I ma sure she will let me borrow those to cheer you guys on! I will try out those meditation CDs this week and let you know what I think. Take those doggies out and let them run!

Nicole...Hope you guys got some decorating done last night with none of the problems that I had! Yes, I have a girl...and I have always been very happy with the gift I was given not to have boys..I don't know if I could take it! We tend to go to CB's place when DD isn't around since he always has to come here during the week. More {{{hugs}}} to your sis...I am sure things will turn out fine, but I am sure she is completely stressed, poor thing.

Tracy...Have fun in the woods with your boys today! Good luck with getting that chihuahua trained too...You obviously have much more patience than I do.

Jeanette...So nice you were able to spend some time with your men yesterday....Good you were able to help out your day too. My mom has some breathing problems from way too many years of smoking and she is out of breath a lot of the time. Sounds like just had an all around enjoyable day yesterday. I am sure you will have a great time on your ride today too...Nice that the weather is still warm enough for you to get out. I watched "Ocean's Thirteen" last night which I really enjoyed...I liked it better than 12...not as much as "Ocean's 11", though. But how bad is it to watch all of those beautiful men on the screen together?? Since a lot of my friends live out of state, I am forced to get my shopping done with early...and it's good since we don't wrap our Santa gifts, so most of the stuff for DD doesn't have to be wrapped. I will start the meditations this week and see how it goes.

Amy...Congrats on getting HIIT done...I know it is really good for you, but I just can't get motivated to do it! I am guessing that you were heading back to work when you posted last night...Hope all went well and you get some rest today.

Carol...Sorry to hear the germs are taking over...Lysol is always a good thing. Have fun with HIS today!

Well....Think I am caught up for now...I have to head out and buy a Xmas tree and I guess I will take DD out to breakfast...Hope everyone is feeling good today!

Back to visit in a while!

Hello Ladies,

Yesterday's yoga was an All Levels class. The instructor was TOUGH! I saw on the website that she just returned from a Baron Baptiste retreat. She had a faster pace, varied poses and varied ab work than the standard flow. She was really good at reminding us to lengthen our spines, tuck in our chins, lower our shoulders, and lift up. I was able to respond well to her cues. I felt lighter in my poses with less strain and more spinal length. I opted out of a couple inversions of our choice. For the last inversion of our choice, I chose child's pose.}( I'm not as sore today. My neck is a little tender from the added focus on lengthening.

I'm not going to work out today. I need to clean, do more laundry, and seriously start packing.

BBL with personals. I've gotta locate some coffee.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Hi there gals. Eion Magically Hips done. Ahhhhhh...feels so good. Tomorrow I will go for PUB(is that right??).

Yesterday was really fun hanging out with the gals while the kids bounced in the bouncer all day. Today, another relaxing day. Life doesn't get any better. Traci, you would be jealous at the restaurant I am going to today. It's Matt Amsden's restaurant and I am going to order a Big Matt(not Mac) with Cheeze. It really tastes very good.

Ok gang. I hope that you have a fabulous Sunday. Keep on Xing/XXing it.

Lea

Hi All!!

Today is my DS's 7th birthday!!:D:+:+

We are going to church then it's off to Thai food and Grandma & Grandpa's for dessert. Tonight we are going to my mom and dad's for tacos and cake. I am going to be rolling by tomorrow! What a day!!

*Traci-X, I will post the Lean Rotation I'll be doing. Thanks for the links and the leg workout post. Gee, I'm glad I wasn't your client. I loath excessive leg work even though I know it's good for me:D

*Wendy, Glad you enjoyed your yoga! I'll be thinking of you while eating my panang chicken and tom kha gai soup:9

*Debra, Ok, you have me beat! It takes me about 1 hour to decorate for Christmas:) We won't get our tree until the first week of December and that takes a couple of hours to decorate. Good luck tonight with CB and mom meeting!

*Carol, The company my DH works for provides phone, Internet and cable. I can't imagine paying full price for these things. We pay like $60/month for all servies, what a deal!:D

*Tracy, Have fun tromping around in the woods today! Is the weather cooperating? Where are you spending Thanksgiving again? Are you cooking anything special?

*Sandra, Are you relaxing today? You'll have to give me a heads up on your favorite Vegan Planet recipes so I can try them:9

Lea, Glad you got some love from Eoin! I will be seeing him on Tuesday:)

Hi Laurie, Swifty and Amy! Sorry to anyone I missed:(

Off to start the craziness,

Nicole

Bring it!!!

Traci: Thank you so much for the link to the free Long and Lean yoga. I wasn't going to do anything today. But, this looks too good to just preview! I watched 15 minutes of it already. Baron is MUCH BETTER on this than on the Live Series I have. I hope you don't get blacked out before you can switch over to AT&T!!! You're a free woman today huh! Too bad we didn't live closer together, we could get into some trouble will your cat's away.}( I have to laugh about your rest days vs. workout days. They sound the exact opposite of my rest/workout days.:7 The CA is MIA!!! She knows I'm trying to get a hold of her about our landing plans. I shouldn't have left a message on her phone. I think she's screening her calls now. Forcing me to drive with her to Korat instead of visiting my virtual friends and letting them drive me and dd to meet up with her in Korat. She's starting to irritate me already!!!! Nice workout you had your client do. Did she start cussing you out by the second set of outer thigh cable lifts?}(

Tracy: I have no idea if we have fiber optic available where we live. I would seriously change over if it were available. I met Jenn's little dog last night. I made her put medium sized Kujo away in another room. I didn't feel like dealing with an aggressive animal. The dog was so pissed he couldn't get me! Her other dog was so tiny cute. She came up to me barking and then licked my feet!!! I knew then that she was harmless!!! I hope you're right about a pound of muscle lost. I'm not near as strong as I was a couple of months ago. I haven't taken any measurements in awhile to see if there's any real change.

Debra: I love Christmas time too. However, I hate decorating ONE tree! You just go spend your soon to be XDH's money on more trees! I say put one in every room! Feel the spirit of the season with each turn!:7 :+ I have a wonderful, broccoli casserole recipe from my grandmother. Let me know if you're interested in it. I should tell you the broccoli is the only healthy ingredient! Let's just say that potato chips are involved.:9

Carol: How sick are your little urchins? Have they started antibiotics yet!!! Will our get together be a quick hand off? Should I bring Lysol dipped cotton necklaces for them?:+

Lea: Have a great lunch with your girlfriend. I saw you have an album set up for before and after raw pictures. Hope you decide to share them with us once they're uploaded!!!!

BRB for a few more personals. Gotta get something to eat.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Hey gals... just finished Long & Lean and I can hardly move I am so sore... it must be that ttom is just about ready to hit because I feel like he fried every single muscle... I am scrapping the Leg workout today as my thighs are alraedy toasted from holding those deep long poses... I need a Debra's Masseuse!

Debra- LOVED reading about your holiday traditions!!! OMW! I wish I had your enthusiasm! I LOVE Chritmas too but NOT the preparation... If I could stop "life" and just play Xmas Queen for a month I surely would! ENJOY!!!! ITA w/ wendy- spend that money BIG this year! ;-) MUST see pics of you and the lighted pom-poms! PROMISE US WE"LL GET A VISUAL!

Carol- you really made me smile about missing church germs! AMEN!!:7 Be sure and burn a few extra cals for this Xer too!:* I sure wish my DH worked in the industry that all you Xers Dh's do- my problem would be solved! :7

Wendy- So it WAS the full DVd eh??? Wonder how they can do that??? Maybe you can only download it once? Any way- FABULOUS!!! I KNOW you'll have complaints about all the instructions because you're a little Yogi now... Just turn sound off and do it- ITS HARD! ~~ If I lived closer to any of you Xer Chicks I'd be the happiest gal in the world! What fun that would be! ROFL CA!!!!! Thats PRICELESS!!! Oh the parental games - I sure hope you never turn into either of our mothers!!

Lea- Glad you got to hang with Eoin! He has a much more "noodle-y" affect than Baptiste! I NEED Eoin after Baptiste!! LOLOL Big Matt sounds FAB!!! GAWD I wish we had that place here... There is one or two Raw Restaurants but they are over an hour aawy in horrid gridlock traffic- I'll pass on that!

Nicole-
Happy 7th!!! well you just dont look old enough to have a 7 yr old! Neither does your DH for that matter!!! My client was good and cranky by the 4 exercise in every round}( Thats what they pay me for!!

OK Folks- Off to take a nap already- a storm blew in at 9PM and lasted all night so I had Dog Duty---

Good Evening Ladies,

I'm hoping that the link Traci posted will work again this evening. I didn't download it, just watched some of it. I plan on doing it before bed tonight.

The kids cleaned the downstairs for me. Phil is cooking dinner. So, it's time for a little more personals.

Nicole: Happy Birthday to your son!!!! Hope he had a wonderful day!!! Seven year olds can be pretty tricky ones to buy presents. When eldest ds was 7, I made him the coolest short sleeved button up shirt with a baseball print and buttons shaped like baseball bats. It looked so professional. I was pretty darned pleased with myself! He thanked me and walked away. I was crushed. Last shirt I ever made for him! Enjoy the food and family time!!! Thanks for the yoga link. I'll be looking more into that yoga you linked when I get back.

Debra: I asked Jenn if she had PY4H. She doesn't and is interested if you still have it. I'll email her your email, and have her contact you. You're probably busy reading your mother's non-verbal appraisal of CB. Can't wait to hear how it went!

Traci: Get to the back of the line. I get Debra's masseuse first!:p :7 Count me in about techno dhs. I told Phil if I didn't marry him, I would marry a computer geek in a heartbeat. Who cares if he dresses FUGLY or has glasses bigger than my thongs! }( I know. You're printing that out for our get together. Ha-Ha. The CA called screaming about my proposed plans. The ONLY sentence I understood was "Family comes first!" Before and after that was all a blur. I gently told her I'd talk to her tomorrow before I said goodbye, click. sigh.

Jeanette: Which shoes did you get? I was only joking about telling me how right I was. God bless you! It's so nice to hear it!:7 :+ ;) I've only swung an axe once to chop wood. Hauling wood, cutting wood, chopping wood, stacking wood... It's all WORK! Hope you got a nice bike ride in beautiful November weather. Darn it! Have a piece of cake for me on your birthday!!!! Who's making you CC?!?! Don't you have daughter-in-laws that could start on one now? Yes, I'm such a bad enabler!}(

Okay, I better look busy or else Phil will be ranting about having to do everything! As if I lied to him before we got married! If he hasn't figured it out in 10 years, how long will it take him to catch a clue?!;)

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

I am back to relax a bit before heading out to dinner. I also found out that some long time friends of ours are coming to Turkey Day...XDH and I were in their wedding an vice versa...so I have to call and let them know that I will have a man there. Should be interesting. I did do LIS as planned...Are you guys watching as I pat myself on the back? I also got a lot more Christmas done...One tree is about 2/3 of the way done. Most of my doo-dads are out...and I got some things done outside too, since the weather was so nice. i I have my balsam candle going and it smells just like Christmas! I will take pics when I get everything done and you guys will see what a fruit cake I am. I forgot to mention that the diva has her own tree in her room. We should get to that this weekend.

Traci...I will be sure to get a pick of the lighted pompoms as I stand next to one of my many trees. Long and Lean is a toughie...glad you are feeling the burn though! Sorry the pooches kept you up last night. Hope your nap was heavenly. You don't want any masseuse I have now...I gotta find another good one...and soon! Yea, I kind of figured if I wanted a gold Xmas tree, this was the year to get it. Maybe I should go ahead and get one in every color!

Wendy...Dear woman....Hope your packing is going well. What kind of clothes do you have to take? In other words, what will the temps be? I know you will have to pack a lot of deet and mosquito netting to keep yourself and DD covered at all times. What about a pith hat? Will that be necessary?? Definitely tell Jenn to get in touch...I will be happy to send her my extras! Also...send me the broccoli casserole recipe if you have time...I like the one I have, but I am always after new twists on recipes! Mine has Ritz crackers, so I imagine the chips can't be any worse...LOL! Good you are taking a rest day from all of your strenuous yoga lately!

Nicole....Happy bday to DS! My DD is already planning her 7th bday party and it is not until March! Hope you guys have lots of great times today celebrating. DD tried to help me decorate the tree I started today, but she takes way to much time just deciding where to put one ornament!

Lea...Love those hips, baby! Good luck with PUB tomorrow....My chest is always afire after that one...and the bis are a killer! Hope ou had a great experience at your restaurant today.

Well think I am caught up for now...Gotta head out for dinner...at least we are going to my favorite pizza place...DD likes to play the jukebox there too. I may stop by after I get home...Kisses to all if I don't see you until tomorrow!

Finished HIS :D That first combo and blast is my favorite out of all the stepping in this series!

Wendy -- Lots of cleaning and laundry here, but at least I don't have to pack! LOL about the lysol necklaces :) The kiddos are actually much better today :D :D :D Youngest has a bit of a runny nose, but the other 2 are pretty much ok. I think you'll be safe tomorrow with just some hand sanitizer ;-)

Nicole -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your DS!! We get our services (not phone, though) for free :D It means I can't complain when the service goes out, though, lol.

Traci-X -- We're firm believers in not exposing others when we're sick :) I'll be sure to send my DH your way, lol.

Have a wonderful evening ladies!

Carol

Hi ladies,
What a nice weekend it's been. I've not done a stick of housework and it's badly needed. A little work and the rest was playtime.

No workout this morning, but did have an excellent bike ride with the group. They let me call the shots and as the weather was so nice (bike shorts and short sleeved jersey), I wanted to get some climbing in. When the weather gets colder, we don't climb much on our rides as you sweat going uphill and then have to descend and it's too cold. My decision to do some climbing caused 2 of our riders to leave as one of the guys is 75 and he doesn't like to climb (can't say I blame him at his age), and the other guy had had a tough workout the day before with the racer guys and didn't want to work that hard. Oh well. We had a good climb and return. Total ride was 2 1/4 hours long (including my flat tire).

After I got back home, DH wanted to just watch NASCAR so I went to the golf course and played 9 holes by myself. Did a little better than yesterday and it was very relaxing. Got home, finished watching the NASCAR race, took a snooze and then DH and I went grocery shopping for my Thanksgiving dishes that I have to make. I'm making the creamy sweet potato casserole and a raspberry jello that has cranberry sauce, sour cream and nuts in it. Both are very easy to make. Think I may do a different topping for the sweet potato casserole that I saw on a cooking show the other night. More like a oatmeal crisp topping for it. Got to look on the internet for a recipe for that topping.

Tracy, I totally agree about little dogs being stubborn. You'd think Tillie was all housebroken (no poo in the house for months and months), and then one cold day, you'd find a little tootsie roll in a forgotten corner, or behind the couch. You always knows she's done something bad because she starts slinking around and "smiling", a real guilty look on her face for sure. I think we found a way to break her of it. DH asked me to lay some aluminum foil down behind the couch. That was months and months ago and she won't even go back there any more. She's scared of the tin foil. I think we got her finally. We always joke about her being "Tough Tillie". How was the rock crawling buggy's debut? Hope you all had a great time. Still interested in seeing any pics.

Traci, hope your DH had a nice time at the football game today. Hoping it will get his mind off of the internet problems. That's got to be a big pain in the patootie when your business depends on it. How did we ever manage before? How did I ever manage without a microwave, that's the real question LOL? I did look at pink golf shoes, but couldn't go there....yet. It's almost like it's fated for me to be wearing all that pink as the one shoe that I really liked only came in white with pink. AAARRRGGGG! I can't do it!!! I ordered 3 pairs to try and hopefully something will work. Love Zappos! I'm a born and bred Californian and all we eat is BBQ! LOL re: the Warden walking in. She's a woman, actually, so she maybe I could tell her it's to ease my menstrual cramps. Re: hosting the Thanksgiving party, I'd let them know that things have been hectic and someone else will have to do it. We will be hosting Christmas this year (we do it every other year). Hey, it actually makes this old Scrooge get the Christmas decorations out. Wish I had more of the decorating passion that Debra has. My tree usually goes up about a week before Christmas and may stay up until New Years. Many times it has come down the day after Christmas.

Debra, you really are a Christmas Queen!!! 4-5 trees?? Oh my gosh! Bet it is so beautiful. I love to see decorations that other people do, just am too lazy myself. I particularly hate putting all the stuff away. How did it go with CB and your Mom tonite? Bet she loves him already. I always wonder why we even worry about a green vegetable at all when the rest of the Thanksgiving dinner is not all that healthy. Let's just skip to dessert and call it good. I'll have to watch Ocean's 13. I've seen Ocean's 11 but not 12 yet. Happy Gilmore was okay, made me laugh some. The biking weather today was perfect. I like it a little on the cooler side, but able to wear shorts and short sleeved shirts. Didn't need tights, ear muffs, balaclava, toe warmers, wool jersey. Like Traci, I'm looking forward to seeing those pics of the pom poms and would love to see the decorated house pictures.

Wendy, sounds like you got a lot out of your yoga class. Hope you got those chores done. This lazy Xer sure didn't do a stick of work today, unless you call picking the dog toys up work. Sure hope you get to see your friend in Thailand. Your mom will get over it. For my birthday 2 years ago, which was on Thanksgiving too if I remember right, DS brought me a piece of CC from a restaurant in Reno. It was so yummy!!!! Of course I've told you how much I love CC. Shhhh, we're not supposed to talk about it on here. I soooo enjoyed my bike ride today. At one point, with a tailwind, we hit 30 plus mph on the a very slight downhill. It was a workout going the other way. Sometimes we have to suffer before we can enjoy. Fastest I've ever gone was 43 mph on a downhill. I don't care to go any faster than that, thank you very much. I'll have to post pics of the golf shoes I decide on. They should be here on Tuesday.

Nicole, lots of eating coming your way??? Well, I say enjoy it because come the 26th, I'm going to clean up the eating so I can see some results of the Lean rotation. Your length of time to decorate sounds about like mine. I sure remember loving to decorate the tree and house when we were kids. No kids here now, and DH's part is to cut the tree down out in the woods. Reminds me that I need to go buy a Christmas Tree permit from the USFS. $60 sounds great for those services. My DirectTV alone is $60. Hope your DS had a great birthday. What do little 7 year old boys like nowadays?

Got to go now and do some more reading, see you all in the a.m. I planned on taking off and playing a little golf in the afternoon tomorrow (without prison priest, as he has to go out to the Federal prison and do some services), but it looks like it may be raining. We'll see.
