Hi all,

Happy Monday to all.

It's pouring down rain here, so I'm going to hurry off to work early to avoid the horrible traffic. One drop of rain and it is a gridlock here.

Tracy

It's a yoga AM with Tony. Day82 of Round2. Following Sundays leaf raking festival at DOD's. I slept like a log and it's just what I needed.

Looking at Nicole's meez makes me :) . Nicole you stay where you are this morning and enjoy the safe return of your DH.;-) Bye!

Tracy, watch for the raindrops and you groove on out to work land in the weather.:7

Hi again,

I had a great workout yesterday! I was able to squat 65lbs for 2 sets and one set of static lunges, which is the heaviest I've gone since I hurt my back, and 60 for the other sets. The I used 70, 60, 50 for the deadlifts. I did the Fire Core or whatever from Creative Core, and then MN 1008, both backbending flows, and prana slow wave. It was wonderful. The live Shiva that I did two days ago made a huge difference in my hips and I was able to stay much more vertical in the plie squats. It was amazing to feel the difference, and I've been struggling with tight hips since my back injury. She really does know what she is doing.

Today is supposed to be a run, but I'll have to see what the weather is by this afternoon. I'll also be doing some yoga. My goal is 5-6 days a week for yoga of varying difficulty.

Our dinner last night was very nice, but I have to admit, that since food isn't that important to me, I'm very practical, and I'm not a spender, even though we didn't pay, spending almost $1000 for 10 people to eat is beyond ridiculous. Eating out is so overrated in my book. Then though the conversation, and the fact that she didn't eat hardly anything, I found out that one of the wives had had a gastric bypass. She clearly had a bad experience, and has not gotten over it. My parents, who cannot read body language, made some comments about fat people, that just made the whole situation very uncomfortable for a few minutes. Needless to say, if people have those kinds of emotional side effects, it may not be worth it. There was an Oprah not long ago that had people on there who had had the surgery and then just transferred the addiction to alcohol or gambling. Ugghhh......I'm not really sure GF could handle those types of situations. I think I'm going to suggest a strict diet for 3 months to see how much she can loose.

I've got to go, or I am going to pay for it in time spent on the road.

Have a great day.

Tracy

Hi Swifty - You snuck in on me. You are up early today. Day 82, you go girl, just a little left. I'm beginning to think about how I will do my next X round. I'm not doing the X legs for sure. That didn't do anything for me.

Tracy

:D TracyX :D
LOVE todays header! After reading about your workout success I can see why you are so chipper! ^5! A Great workout is sometimes all it takes to make a perfect week! :D Please tell us the exact name of the new Shiva! You have just helped sell another copy!!! ~
Glad someones getting rain out there... I'm going to start adding Rain Dance to my rotation ;-) ~
OMG on the food bill!!!!! That alone would make me sick to my tummy! I wonder if I had limitless millions if I would lighten up a bit? Dont think so- wasting $$ when theres so much that it can be used for in the world just seems pathetic to me. I say that NEVER having had limitless income mind you!;-) I did chuckle tho @ your parents comments... I asked my dad long ago WHY he felt it was OK to say anything & everything that was swirling in his brain, his response was that when you get old you cease worrying about what people think! ;( ~

:D Amy X(x) :D
Nothing like a fabulous day in the great outdoors to make you sleep! That was alot of leaves woman!!! ~
Congrats on a stellar Round 2 my dear!!! The finish line is all lit up and clearly in your site now...I am truly excited for you!~

:D TeddyGirl :D
Jogging & L/G on same day is just not normal!:D How fun finding an oldie workout!!! Susan Harris cracks me up- she use to be a twig that I thought was going to snap in two at any minute! I have seen recent pics of her and FINALLY she has a little shape (must be hormones!) - She has a line in one of the old Firms.. "Now this is better than exercise isnt it?" I still hear her perky voice!

All caught up and ready for the day... Today is going to be an all upper workout...Probably a Slo Mo Mix- with liter weights and some modifications to crazy moves ;-) My body is super stiff again today- so if I get a chance to do some easy Yoga I shall...Hugs to all!

Good morning lady Xers! Isn't Tracy chipper this morning!! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I have a massage this morning and then a couple of other errands I have to do...Never did get around to mopping the floor again yesterday, so that still needs to be done and still working on about 10 loads of laundry. The fun never ends. I am planning on doing yoga today....probably Bryan Kest, but we'll see what I feel like once I get up there. It is chilly-billy here this morning and we actually had a bit of rain which is very exciting.

Traci...Be careful with you stiff upper body today as you workout.

Tracy....Glad you were so happy with your performance yesterday! I think I really need to get the live Shiva...I think I will be able to get her moves better that way. Let me know the title when you get the chance. Good luck on your commute to work this morning. I hope you can help GF with her problems. I hope she can make the decision to take control of her weight issues, because it is really up to her. Like any addiction, she has to admit that she has it.

Swifty...You're early this morning....Glad you got the super upper body workout with the leaves yesterday! Have fun with yoga!

Nicole....Love the meez, girl!

Will have to bbl to catch up with yesterday evenings post...gotta get the diva to school!

Morning Xers,

Dropping a quick line to let you all know I'm here, I'm here. I have to take Cami to the groomers today. Will be back to chat more after I get youngest DD on the bus. And I have to find out what is on the exercise front for me today.

BBL,

Laurie

Okay...back again! I forgot to mention my workout yesterday earlier. I did HIS plus back and chest...I always feel like I can do more with back...not heavier necessarily, just more...so I added on a set to each back exercise...so if Cathe did 2 sets of one armed rows, I did 3. And apparently it worked, since I actually have some DOMS in my back this morning which I don't normally get. Chest feels toasty too from all of those dang push ups!

personals from yesterday~~~~~~~~~

Lea...Hope the grocery shopping went well yesterday....You can get some good workouts with the yoga, hunh? I am going to do Bryan today, I think. Hope all is well in your world....How's the voice?

Traci...Don't tempt me into wearing my pjs to the grocery store! I figure, I don't notice what most people are wearing...why would anyone care about what I have on as long as I am reasonably covered up? Glad you enjoyed Eoin yesterday....He is the man of honey and nectar! Still waiting to get my meditation CDs...Hopefully sometime this week....Can I meditate with a diet coke instead of a green smoothie???

Teddygirl...Hope you had fun at your sis's bday! I always get the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's...I am sure you ate nothing but healthy choices! Glad you enjoyed your workout. I hated Fit/Prime...but go for it if you like it!!!

Tracy...I am glad I am not the only one who has excess hunger with cardio...I will say that I got on the scale yesterday expecting to have put on a little poundage with all the eating, but I was still holding steady in my desired zone of 110-112...So I guess at least the cardio is burning off the extra calories!

Think I am caught up for now...Gotta head to the massage...Hope everyone has a great day..Waving to all the MIA Xers!

Happy Monday Xers!

No workout yesterday :( My upper back was really tight/sore and it hurt to move. I'm still stiff today, but I'm getting something in! It's likely to be a 4DS workout, maybe I'll do all the step cardio premix. That sounds fun :)

Traci-X -- Well, I've decided to join you after T-giving and become a full-fledged "Xer", lol. I definitely need the }( and Tony can dish that out. I'm getting excited!

BBL for more. I hope you all have a great day!

Carol

Carol!!!!!!!! ZIPPITY !!!! We'll have a BLAST! }(

Debra!!!! Caffeine tends to hinder the mental PEACE you need to meditate!:p

Laurie!!!! Give cute Cami {{{{{huggers}}}} Hope grooming isnt considered torture in your world like in mine;-)

Gotta go get all my critically important Monday errands run! :+

Hello out there! Today is Eion. I possibly have my DH doing it with me since he has problems with his lower back and I think Magical Hips would help him tremedously.

I will try to bbl with personals, but since everyone has the day off today, that might be hard. So until tomorrow.....

Lea

WoooHoooo! Carol is starting the X with Traci! And, possibly me.:p :7 Yes, yes. I'm taking Tony with me. But, I don't know how's it's going to work working out every day just yet. I'm going to play it by ear. Anyhow, I can't wait to be able to call Carol: Carol-X, Traci: TraciXX and, LaurieXX: LaurieXXX, and AmyX: AmyXXXXXXX. :7

Tracy! Why, aren't you just on a natural high!!! Great job on the weights and form!!! I love your yoga goals! If you have the time, can you give me some yoga recommendations? OUCH! Expensive dinner!!! Glad you didn't have to foot the bill!!! I hope you can make some headway with ds's gf! If anyone can help her with eating healthy, you can! I hope she listens and tries. Gastric bypass can be soooo dangerous. I almost forgot. My neighbor, three doors down, had it done after her sixth child was in elementary school. She got skinny!!!! I think she was down to 105 pounds, the same weight as me at the time. However, she had all this stretched out skin in her stomach area that made her look like she had a bigger belly. Also, she didn't look healthy. She didn't have very much muscle or energy. I can't tell you how she's doing now as she left her 6 children (all boys) and dh. I could ask her boys though.

Amy-X, soon to be XX!!!:D Haven't eaten at McDonalds in ????? Good for you! That's a GOOD thing! My girls are skinny, tiny. I always try to feed them fattening foods. I better go back to cooking healthy meals. That seems to be the only way they gain weight. Well, MIL will feed the twins meat and potatoes OFTEN. The Crazy Asian will be feeding me vegetables daily. Then, I'll come home and go back to my lazy ways unless I learn how to love cooking while there!!!!

Oh No! I see the time. Gotta go. BBL. Maybe, I can catch up between subjects.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Took it easy today to avoid injury. I think next week I'll pick it up again.

So excited to have DH home:) I can't do personals today but tomorrow I will start fresh when DH returns to work.

Hi Ladies,

I QUICKLY skimmed over the weekend posts last night. Just a head's up should I have my wires crossed or miss something.

About the pictures: Every fall, our Black Walnut tree is a pit stop for flocks of birds flying south. If I would have gotten outside sooner to take the picture, you would have seen the tree entirely covered with birds. The tree stands next to our farmhouse. It's as tall as the house (2 stories tall with a full sized attic). It's the last tree to get it's leaves in the spring and the first tree to loose them in the fall. It normally looks Very spooky! Yes, I'm the witch who resides in the spooky house with the spooky tree.

I have a few minutes before we head out the door for errands.

Nicole: Your Meez is cracking me up! She'd better watch out before dh spanks her for jumping on his bed!}(

AmyX: I thought of you this weekend when I saw a man biking on Sunday. Wished I would have brought my bike up to State College.:-( Glad you were able to get some deep sleep!

Traci: What's up with you? Are you back on the IL from domestic cleanliness? That's an injury I avoid!:p :+;) How are you feeling today?

Debra: When you finish your 10 loads, can you get around to doing mine? I promise you can stay until the Bryan Kest workshop. If I didn't have to hear him lecture for an hour, I would sign up for it. I just want his body, not his mind!:p }( :7 :+ ;)

Laurie: You and me both. I have to check out Cathe's November rotation and figure out if I want to do it!:p

Sandra: Oooo! I'm in trouble already! Sorry, I thought y'all would instinctively know by now where I was. I was slumming it in State College. Have you located your parents yet? You should seriously consider lo-jacking them with a micro chip!:7 :+ Have your toxins flowed away yet?

Lea: I want a full report of your dh and Eoin! Now that's something I would pay to watch: A straight guy totally getting into Eoin! LOLOLOL Hope he loves him as much as we do!

TG: You are so good about getting your workouts done. Just enjoy life (desserts and all) and continue to do what you do. You'll be fine!

Jeanette: Where are you? On your boss' back about your promotion?!?!:+

Hey gals- just reporting in on w/o today... Slo Mo Upper - except the only upper premix was a 30 minute Tsaver... SO being as I was feeling like a GOOD workout I just went to the regular split segments and did 2 sets of everything (vs 3)... I omitted Chest as I am only going to work chest 1x per week until all my back & shoulder muscles are at full strength (see I DID listen to my rehab gals!)

Yoga probably out for today but thats OK as tomorow is designated YOGA DAY:) Arent ya'll PROUD?!?!

Wendy glad to see you and all your Spunk today! I shall return w/ personals at some point - XXOO

Have ya'll noticed that Sandra goes gang buster crazy on check-in then quietly disappears??? i think its CIA (Canadian Intelligence Agency) related.........

For Tracy & Debra.... Was on Amys site and found the form pointers from her as some people were talking about back challenges with leg work etc...

Hi everyone,
Yes slow weighted work with these moves is challenging on the core. Please build yourself up. You will get stronger with consistency.

Tips:
Sumo squats - Use dumbbells so your arm position is more to the outside of your legs then pulling your arms forward with the bar. Then build yourself up to the bar. Again this takes some core strength to keep your chest back and get depth in the squat. Foot position is...just as i say angle the feet out yes like plea position. Make sure your knees stay back not angle forward in anyway.

Jefferson's-. Go lighter and build up. Gripping a heavy dumbbell isn't easy with one hand. If you want to use straps this could help. I think a better way to handle this is using 2 hands on the dumbbell the whole time maybe letting go on 2 reps per set to build yourself up.. and keep adding a 1 handed rep as you continue to use the split. Remember have patience to get your body there. It's something new There is nothing instant about development.

Glute wrap - You could use ankle weights or body bar. I prefer the barbell because it poses the biggest overall challenge on the core, working leg and the leg your trying to balance on. Again work your way up with lighter weights.

Cradle side lounges - A behind the head barbell could work fine to build you up. (DO NOT place the bar on the cervical spine.) When doing the cradle be sure to not have your arms way out in front of your body. Tuck the bar to you abs. and cradle like a baby. Keep the chest up and don't lean too far forward with the upper body when doing the lounge. Make the legs do the work. You could also go 1/2 way down and back up not full range of motion and build yourself that way.

Hope all this helps you. Keep trying but do not injure yourself by pushing the weights. Again it's a Challenge to get stronger. You have to take the time to develop with different exercises. You are all so dedicated and I am here dedicated to help you. Do what your body tells you to and ask more questions if you need to. I am trying hard to get to them all.

Have a restful night.

Man, this weekend was crazy. A good crazy, so I'm not complaining. The highlight, though, was the 6year old sleepover guest developing his first ear infection the night he stays with us. Such luck. He, I, and DD didn't get much sleep on Saturday night. DD#2 is currently sleeping through a fever, I don't know why. I hope it's just a bug making a quick pass-through on her way to buggy-heaven. Leave my baby alone!

Sunday was my no-workout day, and this morning I did SJP step & SB blast challenge. Then I did the 4DS Back & Biceps premix. She leaves 2 back exercises out of that premix, so I tacked them on at the end.

I'll end this now and go back and read all your posts from Saturday onwards. Then I need to get some chores done that didn't get done over the weekend. The fun never stops. Woohoo.

Cheers,
Sandra

Okay, I wasn't going to post again until I'd done my chores, but I have to ask:

Traci - why are you starting the X again? I mean, what are you hoping to gain by doing this rotation, versus what you are currently doing? What's the lure, the appeal, the carrot on the stick? The Canadian Intelligence Agency wants to know! I keep thinking I'd like to do the upper body work again, but to only do Tony's workouts for 13 weeks has me feeling claustrophobic. And the idea of only doing P90X cardio has me weeping. I know I liked PlyoX okay, once I got into it, and KenpoX was actually kind of fun, but I like choreography and fun music. So, do you have any advice for me, if I were to say I'm thinking about joining you for X Round 2?

Wendy - I DO know a straight man who loves Eion's yoga. He's my childhood friend's husband, and he got into yoga in general a while ago. I told him to get PY4H a few months ago, and he loves it. He hasn't ventured into Shiva territory yet, but I'll convince him eventually.

Okay, now I really do have to go get some work done. Time flies when you're procrastinating.

Cheers,
Sandra
