I've got 20 mins before I need to take DD to her craft session at Michael's.

Nicole....Did you ever take the boys to the Michael's craft sessions? I'm glad to see you post, and to hear that things are looking a bit better. Sticking to a marriage long-term is really tough. I don't know about you, but I've been with my DH since I was 19 and he was 22. We've both grown up a lot since then, and I know if I met him now, I probably would not chose him as my life partner. You know, I just realized that once I turn 38 this August, I will have spent exactly half of my life, thus far, with him. That blows my mind. Anyhow, we all change and grow over time, and that's what we're supposed to do. The trick is to find a way to grow together, or cut the ties and move on. It's much harder to cut ties when children are involved. If your struggles with DH are such that he makes you feel like a lesser person, or belittles your children, then that is a situation that should not be tolerated. A bad marriage is worse than a divorce, for raising children. But if you and DH are merely butting heads, then hopefully you can negotiate a way past this. But don't do it by sacrificing yourself.

Traci....A busy day for you! When will you be doing your pyramid session? Please post to us before you do that, because I fear if you try afterwards, you won't be able to hold up your arms long enough to type.

Debra....I'm lovin' all the dancing going on around here! Meez's dancing and climbing walls in rollerskates are what I like to see! Good luck on your test! (Like you need it, you star pupil, you...). EXCUUUUUUSE ME, LADY!!! I am NOT pregnant!!! I don't care if it's Brad's child or the second coming! I won't walk down that road again. No sireeee! (But didn't I look good in my CNN interview?). Yeah, me and brevity just don't do well.

Wendy....I'll bet you missed those kids like crazy! Your other DD didn't go with you to Thailand for your second trip, did she? I'm noticing more muscle definition and bulk in the upper body. I think my back is looking great. I'm really pleased with all of my muscle definition, frankly. I'm happy with the results. There's always stuff to improve, but I went into this round not expecting any grand changes. It's incremental, but I think that's what's realistic. How can you not be in the mood for step? I'll take step over any other cardio, any day. Well, except for swimming. Some days I'd like to swim.

Jeanette....I'm not homophobic by any means, but if my name were Gay Gasper, I'd change it. I've planned to do Amy's SC next Friday, I think. I'm going to start previewing it today. I'll listen for the whoops. Previewing won't make you sleepy if you put your step (no risers) on the floor in front of you and walk through the moves :)

Christiane....I'm glad you had such a good flight. How long does it take? Was Michael Clayton good? He won the Academy Award for that role, didn't he? My goodness, what a "fun" situation you arrived home to see! I hope it all gets back into working order really soon!

Laurie....What do you mean, HSM is on tap for tonight? Are you watching it with the kids? Did you enjoy IntervalX+ today? I plan to do it tomorrow, followed by the abs/core+ workout. I'd be staying indoors as much as possible if I were you, too. Have a great weekend!

Teddygirl....Hopefully your day has wings, and you'll be home for a lovely weekend with Mr. Ted before you know it.

I broke down and did LIC. I am so out of shape!!! OMW! I forgot how long LIC lasted. I thought it would never end! I ended up skipping the blasts and bonus cardio. Goodness Gracious! I forgot about those pulsing one legged squats!!!! Oh, I skimmed over some of the ab exercises. Sue me! :p ;)

I think it's gonna be a yoga weekend for me. One with lots of stretches.

Lovely. Dd gave the dog a bath before I could get in the tub. Thankfully, Phil is home. I'm going to try and bribe him to clean the tub for me. I don't know how since I am dripping in sweat! I must try!}( :+

I'll try to get back before we leave for State College.

Just back for a quick hello....DD and I are going out to dinner with my mom tonight...so I am taking a little break before I have to get dressed in real clothes. I ended up doing a circuit premix from SJP...I am not a fan of hi/lo...so I did the step and weights circuit. Traci inspired me to add a few exercises in when I felt my muscles weren't worked 'til failure...I add some bicep hammer curls, more shoulder work, and tricep kickbacks. I didn't do abs today since my tummy is still sore from the other day. I am feeling so fatigued right now....don't think that is a good thing since I had a nap earlier today. I am hoping to perk up a bit after dinner. I have yoga on tap for tomorrow. I also have to do my presentation for Monday since I will be gone all day Sunday.

The 'dessert' you have planned for Valentine's Day sounds fabulous! Hope you guys are staying safe with all the bad weather your way. My teacher today said that she keeps wanting to call me another name because she said, "I always have someone like you in my class and the last one was Rachel." I am not sure if that was a compliment or not....LOL! Have fun with HSM!!!!


Okay...I just have to ask if any of you looked at Cathe's February rotation...She has 3 days of cardio bunched together including a circuit workout and then 3 heavy weight weight days. I was just wondering what you all thought of that. I try to spread my cardio out throughout the week, but I like her idea. Just wondering what you guys thought. I didn't look on the rotation forum to see any other discussion since I usually try to avoid any of the crazies around here.

I'm here, kind of. This morning after the kids headed off to school, I ventured outside for the first time in a few days and went grocery shopping. About halfway through I thought I was going to pass out just feeling so faint/dizzy, then some strange guy started lecturing me on how I was loading my shopping cart x( . I came home and rested. After lunch I had a burst of energy and decided to try working out I started week 2 of Phase 2 and did CST and ARX. It was better than I thought, I had to cut back on the pushups, they made me feel sick otherwise okay. Forget about doubles this week, I'm just going to try and get week2/phase2 done with no extra cardio.

Sorry, I haven't gone back and caught up maybe I will have the energy over the weekend. Welcome back Wendy! Kim

Have to clean like a mad-woman tonight & get all the laudry done so I can walk into a clean place Sunday- I love coming home to sparkle even if it doesnt stay that way long once the testosterone arrives....

What EXACTLY is the backround on your Meeze??? :+ I didnt look @ Feb rotation but it sounds like it might be a good "shock" for your body to mix it up a bit... Today I was whoopin' & hollerin' tho as she was doing a leg move & was keeping her legs straight- that was a first in just 2 weeks! I teared up and said " Look Sue!!! Look what your body is capable of!" she just stared in disbelief. She is very disconnected from her body & feels like it has turned on her over the years...I believe in a strong mind, body, spirit connection when I train so its really been amazing to see her progress so quickly. ~~~ HGOORAY on another test STOMPED!!!! I have a feeling that EVERY workout you do for about a week will feel difficult- the good news is that it shouldnt last long! You MUST have some muscle memory hiding out in there!!!~~ ROF!!!! My biceps are still so very sore that I cant feel the pain that the triceps SURELY have! LOL - I feel my BF% declining with each strength training tho....my body LOVES lifting... I hope my old ticker doesnt mind but it aint gettin' daily cardio! Tracy....Yes, the dr program does have a lot of non-finishers. I'd have been one of them, if my new supervisor hadn't reached out when he did. Do you still have a professional relationship with your supervisor? My low feelings at the end of phase two had a lot to do with the sore elbows. I think I've figured out that it is definitely the Phase 2 upper body weight workouts that cause that to flare. By alternating them with the Phase 1 workouts in Phase 3, they're getting time to recuperate. Would you new certification mean that you would actually seek a job in a different organization?

Miss Debra....I'd never imagine you would have anything to do with Dallas! Tsk tsk, where does your mind go? I'm glad you and CBL are back on track, though. Are you seeing much of his daughter? How's that part of the relationship going?

Laurie....We do indeed have a pbs type station! Canada has a national public broadcasting radio and tv station. They're the CBC and CBC Radio. I'm sure we can find something for your husband. What part of radio does he work in?

Jeanette....You're going to start a weekly Feed the Parents night? I like the sounds of that. Have you renewed you love affair with cycling? That's wonderful! DH is FINALLY setting up his trainer in the basement this weekend. Just in time for spring....Never mind. He wants to order the new 10 minute workouts from Tony. He likes the idea of doing those in the morning, then riding his bike to work. Are you going to suggest those to your sister?

Nicole....I'm always ready for bed at 8:00! It's the darn kids that keep me up later. I hope the antibiotics kick in for that UTI real quick. That sounds awful.

It must be so satisfying for you to have a client who is showing such progress. That is one of the things I am hoping to gain by going into physical therapy...speaking of which...we'll see how smart I am once I get into anatomy and physics!!! So on the pyramid you are working with..(and I may have lost this somewhere else) are you going down in weight as you go down in reps or the other way around? Have a fantabulous time at the bay with the boys this weekend....I am the same way when I go on a trip...The house has to be spotless when I leave because I hate to walk into a mess. CBL has been practicing on the Wii....He even called tonight to gloat that he beat my bowling score. I don't remember grunting while boxing...but it was funny, I felt myself moving just like I would with a KB dvd...although not as strenuously. CBL apparently liked the way I moved my hips while boxing....silly man! I am a huge Rob Lowe fan, too.....I don't know that I could switch teams though (to Republican, I mean...LOL!).

I am warping back to yesterday....I have met CBL's daughter a couple of times...She is older and in college, so he doesn't see all that much of her....She is busy with her own thing...She is planning on being an elementary school teacher and she has classroom time every semester. But she and I get along fine....but I know it must be weird for her because she is close to CBL's almost Xwife.

Just sitting here with DH and he's watching a movie with guess who? George Clooney, The Good German. What a coincidence, huh? Those eyes... I took dinner over to Mom, Dad and Grandma. They really enjoyed it and Grandma ate a lot, for her anyways. She even wanted seconds on my hashbrown casserole. She definitely needs the calories as she's probably around 90 some pounds. Most of the stuff that appeals to her is low in calories. Cucumbers, tomatoes, pea soup. She is so picky about everything anymore. She just has no reserves. If she gets sick, she has no fat or muscle on her. They've put her on oxygen 24/7 now. She also needs more vitamin D. We have a home health care person coming over now so that will help out.

Christiane, so glad you arrived safely. Hope you were able to take care of all those annoyances today. So you spent time with George too? Must be plenty of that guy to go around for all of us. Hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter. She's very fortunate to have a mom that can come when she's needed.

Wendy, dinner tonite was BBQ'd pork chops, hash brown casserole, seasoned string beans, applesauce and a streudel dessert. It was good to see Grandma chow down. Speaking of legs, my legs are really puffy right now, body too. Seems like I'm drinking lots of water and it's not getting peed up, just stored up. Hate that. So is the water stored in the fat cells on top of the muscle or in the muscle itself? Oh, I really don't care, I just want it gone. Well, I'm glad we don't have to share George with you. Who is your cup of tea? Who is this Tony Snow guy? I did circuits and enjoyed them just cuz I like variety and get bored. I'm not sure what they do, but nice to change up. I did LIC not too long ago and it's a long one. I didn't use the band for the bicep curls with the barbell. I did enjoy that workout. Circuits really make me sweat. Did you bribe Phil to clean the tub? DH gives our dogs a shower from time to time. They both have really short hair so I never notice anything left behind.

Debra, LOL about the Helen Reddy song! I don't have that one on my mp3 player, but I did listen to some of The BeeGees on my 10 minute walk. I'll be glad when our track at work has no more snow on it. It was warmer today so a lot of snow is melting and there is lots of mud in it's place. Nice that CBL likes to cook and clean. My DH has no problem cooking, but doesn't clean up after himself. Guess that's my job, but hey, if he's willing to cook. I liked Gay Gasper okay this morning. Haven't finished it yet. I'll have to check out this Petra gal too. I like SJP a lot. Don't even mind the hi-lo as it's pretty short. LOL re: the roller skating guy with the incredibly long wiener. Now that's a picture in my mind. Where do you come up with this stuff???? LMAO!!!

Laurie, oh my gosh, -9 degrees? I'm so happy that we will be near 50 this weekend. In fact, I'm riding with the Garage Boys on the road tomorrow for a short time anyway. Can't wait to actually ride on the road! Hope you enjoy all of your events this weekend. I reminded DH that he needs to do some pruning before springtime, which is around the corner. Yum on the cherries. I love Dove dark chocolate too. To die for...

Sandra, yep, previewing with an actual step in front of me might keep me from nodding off. I don't know what it is, but previewing always, always puts me to sleep. Like that fantasy book that hasn't taken off yet. Just a few paragraphs and my eyes start getting heavy. Maybe this weekend I'll get to the good part. Yes, I'd probably change my name too, but oh well. I knew a gal named Gay and she was. Never bothered me though. She was the feminine partner to my riding instructor that I rode with for about 13 or so years. She did end up getting married to a man later on. She had her own hair salon in Reno. Also had an aneurysm while pedaling a stationary bike at a gym. Almost lost her. One of those really fit, active, happy people that just had a weakness in some part of her brain. But at least she survived, unlike my BIL's cousin's wife that passed away couple weeks ago.

Kim, please take your time getting back to the workouts. We are all so stubborn and don't want to lose anything. I've had lousy colds that went on and on and on. I'm knocking on wood that one doesn't develop.

Traci, I see your workout had a lot of lying down work. That's my kind of workout. No pushups as I really have gotten away from them. However bench pressing makes me feel strong. I feel like I have a leetle pinched feeling back by my scapula. Hoping it's nothing impinged. Maybe the massage on Friday will help with that. I felt it when I did supermans with outstretched arms this morning. Nice to walk into a clean house after a weekend away. Reminds me that I need to put that laundry into the dryer. No, nothing exciting happening at all today. It crossed my mind that if I didn't have Garage Boys on the road tomorrow and have to cook tonite for Mom and Dad, I could have gotten in a bike ride after work today. Love it when the days are getting longer. There is still snow on the ground so no golf to tempt me away from cycling right now.

Sandra, thanks for reminding me to forward the link to my sister for the 10 minute workouts. I just have not been able to get her hooked on DVD's yet. Yes, Mom and Dad are going to get fed dinner 2 nights a week. I'll have Fridays and my sister will have Wednesdays. They have really enjoyed both meals so far and expressed their thanks. Mom has just been spinning so much with chasing down prescriptions, taking Grandma and Dad to the dr. appointments, paying Grandma's bills, etc. They also need to go down south and retrieve or get rid of a lot of stuff that Grandma will never use. That kind of stuff weighs heavy on Mom's mind and she can't relax knowing these things are undone. I'm really looking forward to riding tomorrow morning. We will meet at the local Safeway parking lot and depart from there. Should be around 6 or 7 of us. One guy is coming off of a sickness so won't be riding fast. Will probably be okay and can ride with us slow ones. We'll see if the Spinervals will pay off. The trouble is, the others have been doing them too so they are fitter and ride faster. I'm such a tweener, faster than the slow people, not as fast as the racers. Dang, we need more lady riders. I'm fine if they drop me, I'm a big girl and can find my way home. I'll just do my best and forget the rest.
