Xers ~Birthday Monday! ~

Okay...back again....still have to do DD's reading assignment for the evening...but one of her friends from Illinois just called, so she will be on the phone a bit. Had a great dinner...I actually cooked if you can believe that! We had fresh okra, fresh white lady beans (kind of like black-eyed peas, but smaller) and ribs....okay, so it was pretty healthy until the ribs...but they are DD's favorite!

personals...

Waving to Tracy, Carol and Lea as they fly by! Tracy...Glad you got a rest in today.

Teddygirl...Got a real hoot out of your description of you time with the grandkids...Those darn boys are trouble, aren't they?? LOL! Hope you get a workout in tonight if you aren't too tired.

Jeanette...Sounds like you had a wonderful trip with DH...Wish we had a picture of you in that coat...You must have looked like Nanook of the North! You guys still rough it a bit more than I prefer, though, even with all of your amenities. Our leaves have already started changing, too...mostly because of the serious drought we have had all summer. Maybe I should make pumpkin muffins with DD next weekend...now that sounds good!

Laurie...I sure hope your DD's put you in for the mother of the year award...I can tell you...I would have packed up my tent and gone home!! LOL! It's wonderful how great your DD is doing in varsity track. Good luck with those initial squeals from the new clarinet...I remember when I first started playing...I think I must have sounded like a wounded walrus.

Traci...More {{{hugs}}} to you and your wounded self! Thanks for the review of the Pit, too. Our farmer's market is off of the highway...but other than that it is pretty remote, so it's nice to go. The spaghetti dinner was yummy and I got all of my plants in the ground...Still need to get some mulch though...since I created a whole new flower bed...That is on my project list tomorrow. Hope all of your crampies are all gone! Take those good drugs...hopefully they will help!

Okay ladies...think that catches me up for now....Still looking for the birthday girl!!! Cheryl...Hope you are having a great day! Amy and Sandra MIA again...may have to send up a couple of signal flares to reach them!

Debra

Hey gang!

I was called Sunday night and asked if I would trade last night for working today....day shift. Sure, why not? My supervisor agreed to give me my shift differential as well! AND I get to keep my vacation hours that I JUST got saved up!

I'm still around, but bushed. I'll be back in the morning.....or maybe afternoon, it all depends on when I get up;-)

Hi everyone,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHERYL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, reading that it's Cheryl's b-day is the most reading I've been able to do for the past 2 days. I really apologize, but this post is all about me. Skip if you wish :)

The cold has blossomed and I barely have a voice left. My elbow is doing quite well. The lump is still there, but it's smaller and no pain. I'm going to make a concerted effort to ice it more this week. My hip gets stiff only when I don't use it for a while.

On Saturday I did Christi Taylor's Totally Hot Cardio (hi/lo floor aerobics).

Sunday: rest day.

Today: SH Legs, CTX Step & Intervals cardio.

I'm off to bed. See you tomorrow, hopefully!

Good evening ladies,

First off, Happy Birthday Cheryl! Hope you had a fantastic day!

After work today, I ate a bit of dinner, hopped on the bike for a good spin, changed clothes and proceeded to make a cheesecake for DH to take to work on Wednesday. It's cooling right now. Glad he's taking it so it won't be around to tempt me.

Anointed, sounds like your time with the grandkids was a bit taxing. I really need to spend more time with my grandchildren, but seems like DH and I are always going somewhere. They are my step-daughter's kids so I'm just not quite as close to them as I guess I could be. My bad. No excuses. You sounded frustrated and tired in your post. Know you will be back to your old self very soon, you are so strong and resilient. Enjoy your rest day tomorrow. What are you going to do with that extra time?

Wendy, so you are going to do the X again??? You rock! I always knew that I was the laziest Xer and now it's proven. Love how Debra called you the Thai Goddess of the X. That coconut sticky rice stuff sounded great. Is that the dish that didn't turn out?

Swifty, dang girl, you had one productive weekend. You have so much energy. Cracked me up about the bat. What is it about women and bats that we worry about them flying in our hair? DH saved the day! Hope it works out with your friend staying. Nice of your DH to offer to have her stay with you guys for a while. What a sweetie!

Nicole, LOL re: your DH knowing what you'd type. He's right on the mark, isn't he? LOL!!!!! You're cracking me up.

Traci, did they say that your injuries can be taken care of without surgery? Hope so. How does the nerve entrapment happen? I feel for you. Sounds like you will be busy with PT for a while. (((HUGS))) to you, my friend.

Debra, sounds like a busy day for you. Hope you enjoyed working in DD's class today. Bet the teacher loves having the parents help out. Are the boys still after your DD? Your dinner sounds great. My DH BBQ'd some ribs last night. I love ribs too. Make some pumpkin muffins for me too. I love pumpkin in just about any form. I remember when my sister started playing the saxophone. My dad was recovering from a hernia operation. Every time she'd hit a clinker, he'd laugh and then it would hurt. A wounded walrus is a good description LOL!

Hi Amy, hope you get some rest tomorrow and can post a bit with us.

Sandra, glad the elbow is getting better. Sorry about the cold. I have a sore spot on the side of my throat that I don't know is the beginning of a cold or I burned with some hot food. I haven't had a cold in almost 1 1/2 years so hoping that nothing materializes as if I get one, it'll probably be a doozie. Did you ice the elbow today? Are you enjoying Christie Taylor? Her cueing is phenomenal!

Got to go, see you all in the morning.

Jeanette
