Hi all,
I finished chest & back and brought it as best as I could. It’s so hard to do that every workout. I increased all of my weights and the number of reps that I did. I ended up doing 271 various pushups on my toes. That’s more than I thought I could do. My biceps and triceps felt like they were going to explode after some of the bar work and I had to massage them again. I actually felt muscles in my back engage that I didn’t know I had. I think one more rotation and I’ll be able to do a respectable number of chin ups and probably some close grip pull ups.
Debra – My kids went to Montessori school. I’m glad you had fun teaching. Little kids are lots of fun. I hope the stomach thing goes away quickly.
Jeanette – One armed pushups on the toes! Congratulations, that is really an accomplishment. I’m glad you are seeing results in your upper body. It is so motivating. I am going to continue to go for strength gains and I’ve put together a couple of rotations, but nothing I’m totally satisfied with yet. Whatever it is it will include pull-ups and pushups. It's hard to layer on upper, lower, and cardio and not take up too much time. Three times a week for legs is really working well for me and I don't want to give that up.
Sandra – There is something about steady state step cardio that is just like magic isn’t it? Glad you enjoyed BM2. I will always incorporate steady state step to preserve my mental sanity regardless of whether it is detrimental to my weight work. I’ve been doing if for way too long. I don’t think that there is anything wrong with subbing IMAX2 for the plyo. It may make you come back to Tony even more enthusiastic and this is as much mental as it is physical. I’ve been adding the cardio in all along; I just couldn’t give it up. It’s so good to hear from someone who hates floor work too. I never do it and I will just have to live with the way my legs look without it. I find it pointless.
Lea – Just join back in. We all understand. It will take hours to go back and catch up. I hope you had a fun weekend.
Sorry if I missed anyone.
Tracy
